Nowhere on their website states there would be a capacity limit at the pool! This should be posted on the website and told to guest before booking. Would not recommend.

Hotel staff was the best, from doormen and bartenders to housekeeping. Excellent location next to public transportation (light rail "trolley", Calif Coaster, Amtrak, bus lines) the convention center, and entrance to historic Gaslamp Quarter.

First stay with Omni Hotel and it was fabulous! Booked there last minute and requested a room with a nice view. Got a gorgeous harbor view. Loved the juliet balcony. Joined Select to get free Wi-Fi and also got free coffee delivered every morning… great way to start the day. Went to a couple baseball games so enjoyed using the skywalk to Petco. Close to shops, restaurants. Mel the valet greeted us every day and was super friendly… we didn't even have a car! Karin in the bar works hard and was so fun we stayed longer than planned. One of our best hotel stays ever.

Having had an extended stay here as my son had an ear infection and could not fly home, we couldn’t have been in a better hotel! All staff are so helpful, caring, friendly and go out of their way to check everything is ok. Special thanks to Tim, Mel, Chris, Trace, Sarah and everyone who showed such kindness to Billy and his family!

It’s a lovely hotel located in downtown San Diego. The bridge to Petco Park is awesome! We picked up a baseball game and it was super fun. The room had a few issues, AC not working right away, fridge not on, outdated wood and furnishings and a lack of outlets on nightstands. But I loved the robes and the bed was so comfy and the view of the city was great!

Great location next to Gaslamp District. Many rooms have views of the harbor. You can also see the railroad tracks and streetcar tracks (if you are a rail fan). Front desk personnel very helpful. Nicely furnished rooms — — very quiet. Highly recommended.

Nice location and very fast check-in and check out. Very nice & comfortable room. However, I was charged for the mini-bar usage which I did not. I got my water/juice/drinks from CVS pharmacy store and from the convention centre. In addition extra charges were added for the long distance calls that didn't work/connect. Those are the reasons for — 2 stars in my rating.

You can tell they take pride in helping people. The bell hops are the best of all. But it’s not just them but everyone goes the extra mile. The average hotel if I was walking down the hall, the worker would keep their head down and pass. At the Omni, everyone says hello and asks if they can help no matter what their position at the hotel is. Definitely would come back here based on service alone.

This is my 2nd time staying at the Omni while attending a conference. The location is good and it is close enough to everything. We love being able to walk to many restaurants. We heard a baby cry from another room a few times but very quite in the evening. The rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly at all times. We requested a small refrigerator and it was delivered quickly at no additional charge. Mel helped us with our luggage and called us by name when seeing him during our stay. That is such a nice gesture. The doorman greeted us daily and gave great breakfast recommendation at The Mission.

We had the most wonderful time celebrating our Anniversary. This hotel is beautiful! We were treated with a room overlooking the bay on the top floor. We had direct access to the Padres game and the location is within walking distance to the water. The food was excellent and all the staff are personable and professional. Outstanding hotel! High recommend it.

I had the pleasure of staying at this resort for a recent conference and loved everything about it. The rooms are comfortable, and even have windows you can open if you want a bit of the breeze. Great views of the city, and steps away from the convention centre. There is a great little coffee place in the lobby, and there is a piano bar as well. The pool is a must do, as it overlooks the convention centre and harbour. Perfect hot-tub as well. Hidden on the pool level are artifacts from the baseball teams that have played in SD. On that note, this hotel is also directly connected to Petco field, which is perfect for those attending events there. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The staffs service has been wonderful. The door man Mel is attentive and remembers each person staying at the hotel. The cleaning staff does a great job and are friendly. The front desk always has a smile. … but that's the only aspect that is good about this hotel. The rooms are not to the quality of what a Omni hotel should be. I can hear my neighbors through the walls. I can hear a person slam there door 2 rooms away. When a person near by is showing in can hear the water running. The rooms design makes no sense. The bathroom has blinds. Dry way does wonders for privacy and keeps smells inside the bathroom. Blinds should not be a divider between the bedroom and bathroom (see photos of room to understand).

Great place for us to stay while celebrating our first anniversary! San Diego itself is beautiful and having a place like Omni Hotel right by the San Diego Bay was an amazing experience of the city/Gaslamp Quarter! We had a balcony that overlooked the water and convention center. Absolutely beautiful.

Outstanding service, the food was delicious and HOT! The chef actually came out to our table, to be sure the meals were cooked to perfection. If I could give it "10☆'s" I would!

Booking experience was easy. Valet staff was quick, helpful and friendly. Check in was quick. Room was clean and nice, bell man and hotel staff was great with suggestions and very friendly! Pool/ patio was great hang out space. Will definitely be back.

This was our first trip as a family of four to visit San Diego. I was familiar with the city and the Omni had the perfect location for us to get to all the dining Gaslamp District has to offer as well as across the street from the water so we could rent scooter/ride along the water and enjoy the scenery. The staff at the Omni was first class and I mean that about each staff member we came across for the five days we were there. We look forward to come back soon!

From the first contact with the doorman, through the checkout at the end of our stay, the staff could not have been better! The concierge services were too notch, and the room was spotless. What a wonderful hotel!

The staff were Very friendly and helpful. The only thing is that they charge you for receiving packages, and I think for the price of the room they should not do so.
It'S Super well located. EYE, when there are events in the stadium it is difficult to park and inside the hotel you hear everything.

The most else that for a very welcoming and accommodating. Especially the doorman who held the door open for and gave me a high five congratulating me for getting in my morning run. I loved the view from my room. Views of the bay and looking down into the baseball stadium. I decided to keep the sliding balcony doors open at night to let in some seasonably cool San Diego air. It was a great stay.

One of the best place, I’ve ever stayed at. Mel was the nicest staff member, I have ever seen. He creates an extremely welcoming environment since my arrival to departure. Rooms were clean, good gym and a perfect location across the convention center.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very clean and the showers are great. The beds are comfortable; I sleep better than I do at home. The fitness center is a good size and the pool is nice. I like the sports memorabilia on the 6th floor. Great views outside the windows.

Hotel was good, staff was really nice. Bed was not comfortable for a “4 star hotel “. We had to move rooms cause we could hear everything going on in the next room, and in the halls. Paper thin walls I could hear too much. Bathroom was dirty in the first room. Pretty outdated. 50 Dollars for parking what a complete JOKE! They did move us to a different room that was clean and had no noise around. All and all I would never stay again.

The location of the hotel was great! Literally across the street from Petco Park baseball stadium with a sky bridge to get guests into the stadium faster and more conveniently. It is also across the street from the convention center and down the road (walking distance) to the Gas Lamp District. The rooms are big enough and clean but my bed was pretty poor. I don't know if the bed was broken or the mattress was just old, but when I laid down on one side I sunk into the mattress to the point of rolling off. The other side of the mattress was really firm and way more comfortable. It was unfortunate I couldn't sleep on the whole bed without fear of rolling off. Otherwise, great hotel.

Stayed at room 1933 and had the view of PETCO. Though it was blocked with the solar panels of the stadium, I got a small glimpse of the games for 3 nights. Both the room and bathroom were big. They didn't have a detachable shower head or a bidet but it was not a big problem for me. Service was impeccable and employees were able to answer my questions and concerns be it from the reception or via the phone. Room service was also superb! I got the Kobe Beef Burger with Truffle Fries and it was amazing! Be warned though that that have a 21 (or 22, I can't remember) % service charge and a 4 dollar delivery charge, all of which are already half the price of my burger. But considering I would have paid the same elsewhere, it wasn't a problem.

Sorry but my experience is not what I expected, room very small, bathroom door don’t close completely and not privacy and the bed mattress extra firm so uncomfortable to sleep and next morning my whole body aching and my family complained about the same, I inform to the from desk but the lady don’t care and don’t even apologize to me. I was at other Omni hotels before in Hawaii, LA, NY and San Fco, specially because my brother is the kitchen manager there for more of 10 years but San Diego is very bad I don’t planning to come back anymore and I don’t recommend to my friends and family members.

Very modern hotel right next to Petco park! It's right in the middle of all the action, across the street from the Convention center with the Gaslight district a few steps away. You can easily walk outside the hotel and catch the trolley down to Seaport village and Midway ship museum and beyond.

I had a two day Qualcomm paid stay here. Its located at walking distance from downtown San Diego. The rooms are nice though not too spacious. The staff is co operative and helpful. The in hotel restaurants are pretty good for breakfast and brunch.

Great weekend. I was here for a meeting and all the amenities were great. Lots to do in the region for my 20 year olds that accompanied me. Highly recommend City Running Tours to show you the area.

I was at the Omni for a conference. The conference space was nice. The lobby and restrooms are nice and clean. I really appreciate that the Wi-Fi works well and supports the high traffic from conference attendees on phones and laptops. Omni is in a good location with access to coffee shops, dining, and other points of interest. I didn't stay at the hotel overnight… Although I considered it. The conference discount rate wasn't much of a discount. The service is great. Everyone greets you with a smile and that is greatly appreciated.

At a prime location between the Gas Lamp district and the stadium but also on a quiet street overlooking the bay. It's ideally placed for exploring the whole town or just convention center across the road. The rooms are extremely comfortable with every amenity you could want (get one with a balcony for fantastic city views). The (free) Wi-Fi is fast and the complimentary morning beverages are always a welcome perk of their loyalty program. The service at this hotel is excellent throughout from the impeccable housekeeping (I swear nobody had ever stayed in my room before me) to the ever-helpful front desk, it really makes all the difference. Overall it's a perfect property for both business and leisure and priced competitively for the quality of accommodation.

Staff were very nice and personable. The room was lovely and comfortable. For an additional $20, We got a "room with a view" which was breathtaking. Thankfully, we brought our own snacks and water because the mini bar was outrageous in price. Very accommodating when asked for a mini fridge (no extra charge). Wi-Fi cost $10? Was told we would NOT be charged for Wi-Fi, and instructed how to sign in. When checking out, I asked for a hard copy and WAS charged for Wi-Fi. Surprised by that at over $206 a night, $40 parking, and no complimentary breakfast. : (
I would/will recommend the Omni Hotel but advise park somewhere else, and bring your own water.

Service was great and the room well appointed. Very comfortable and quiet. They lack a few basic amenities found in other hotels, like continental breakfast, but the surrounding area has many options to choose from, even if most of them are expensive. Prepare to spend money when you visit.

Not a bad hotel, they have a restaurant in the hotel. A bar also. Nice atmosphere with great views, depending on what you are looking for. Isn't overly pricey. Not bad for SD (San Diego).

First and foremost the customer service is excellent. From Dave and Sean greeting us at the front door, to Bridget sending usa bottle of champagne for a birthday toast…
The rooms are exceptional, any room ending in 14 is a corner room with two views, one of the city and one ocean. Anytime I needed anything, guest services delivered within minutes. Hands-down one of the best spots to stay in gaslamp.

It was a very good stay. The service was extremely helpful and friendly. The bathroom in my room was extremely large and comfortable and the e rooms were very clean and comfortable as well. The service was also very kind and held our bags for us because we couldn't leave until after our check out time. The only issues I had were that the doors and walls of the hotel didn't seem to keep out many of the noises and sounds happening in and around the hotel.

Mel and Mark have to be the most amazing employees at this hotel. The rooms were nice and the staff was pleasant. Mel and Mark made my mother and my stay so much better. I will stay at this hotel again if I am ever on the west coast just because of them and their amazing service.

Hotel is clean and modern. A bit pricey and staff frequently don't know answers to what would seem to be frequent inquests (e. G. Omni member benefits or where a mailbox might be located). The fitness center is well equipped. Not a fan of the scents placed in common areas but others will likely enjoy them. And while free fruit flavored water is provided at the front desk, it is not regularly refilled.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Its a nice boutique hotel and I liked that it was very upscale yet still unique and different. The service was excellent and the rooms were super clean. My favorite part was the gym though. There was literally a brand new full gym with a beautiful rooftop pool that even had treadmills up there so you could work out outdoors, a nice change to dark gyms. I travel a lot for work and have never seen a hotel with such a nice gym before. Really enjoyed staying here.

Stayed on the 12th floor with a beautiful view of Coronado. The room was a king bed, regular room. The bed was comfortable! The bathroom has no fan or real ventilation but whatever… It wasn't a bother for me. The service was impeccable… This might be because I was there with a big drug company and it was on their dime. Overall… Excellent!

By far the best customer experience that I have ever had at a hotel. There is a consistency and very clear culture that you feel from the moment you walk in. Pricey yes but also worth every penny for the comfort and 5-star service. Will choose this place every time. Thank you Omni. — Tammy Saul.

Great accommodations and staff. The staff knew my family by name by the second day there and made a point to chat with my boys and make them feel welcome. Food and drinks are great. Coffee bar is amazing. Only thing that made this a four review was the size of the beds. Two full size bed are not big enough to sleep comfortably all week.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are very clean. If you are looking for a place next to Petco Park or Convention Center this is the place. If you don't want to pay the valet you can park next door in the ramp for 15/day when it isn't peak season. Highly recommend hotel. Employees are very nice and accommodating.

A great place to stay for a conference. I'd go back and enjoyed the location and easy ability to walk around the area for food/drinks. Pool was a little cool and rooms smaller than I'd like (bathrooms larger than expected though). Towels were scratchy as well. I can't understand how nice hotels like this have bad towels.

My brother is a guest here on occasion so I checked it out a bit. His room was very nice and contemporary. The bathroom was quite big and had an open design with barn doors. My brother ordered some room service and it was fantastic! Overall a great place, especially if you're into baseball.

Staff are great. The host (lovely Kurdish girl) was attentive and sweet. Wait staff was prompt and knowledgeable. The food, however, was unsatisfactory for the heavy price tag. I've had better food microwaved on a train. I'm pretty sure the kitchen staff microwaved my meal before sending it out. My cocktails were decent, but not amazing either. Overall I would not dine here again, but the staff and ambiance are 5 star, food and menu are 1 star.

I stayed here for two nights with my husband for a little stay-cation. Trying to find parking late on a Saturday night was impossible, we ended up using the valet service provided by the hotel. The corner room we were in (16th floor) had gorgeous views, both of the city and the ocean, but the windows were dirty so we couldn't really enjoy them. The bathroom was awkwardly not very private, the doors were sliding and didn't lock and there were shutters with a perfect view of the toilet? But everything else was nice, service was impeccable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Room service got us our food precisely when they said they would and both dinner and breakfast were highly enjoyable.

It's in a good location, next to several restaurants and Petco park but be prepared to spend lots of money for parking. If a game is going on it's extremely difficult to get to the hotel due to the roads being closed. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The restaurant downstairs in their lobby was decent, not exactly sure it's worth the price though.

We stopped in here for lunch during ComicCon. The service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about menu options. She even offered to keep my husband's meal under the heat lamp, since he had to step away right as our food came. Our food came in a reasonable time. My only complaint was that I order the fish tacos, which came with 2 small tacos (delicious! ), and a large bowl of black beans, which had NO flavor and tasted like they just opened a can of black beans and poured them directly into the bowl. So my meal was more bland black beans than yummy fish tacos.

True 5 star service. Bridget at the front desk was amazing! We were well taken care of our entire stay by Eric, our bellman, Dave, the doorman (who helped us when one of dogs was spooked by a garbage truck), and Carmen, who did a great job on our room everyday (with 2 messy kids). Bridget really set the standard at the beginning with a more than warm welcome to our large family. Thank to to Mark, our valet, got being so prompt all the time too. Thanks to all! We'll definitely be back.

Not the place it started off to be… been staying here almost since opening and service has been deteriorating. This was one of the worst stays! Room was never even cleaned! Thankfully, we're pretty neat and clean up after ourselves, but not to have come in and clean at all? We have been coming here for years to celebrate our anniversary and have always been greeted with some champagne and a nice accompaniment. This time? Cookies and water! Very disappointing…

I had a pretty nice stay, the room was comfortable and overlooked Petco stadium. The room wasn't very big or luxurious, but the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well. The bathroom was nice and while the shower wasn't the greatest the water stayed hot the whole shower. I really enjoyed the rooftop pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi can get a little crowded but still fits a lot of people I used it before and after my race and it definitely helped with my soreness. Overall for the price it was pretty reasonable, parking downtown sucks and $47 a night valet for hotel guests was a bit steep but made it easier to get the car quickly.

Great place to stay the rooms are awesome and a perfect spot also you did very good views if you're on the top floor but I think they need a new restaurant.

Everything from the lobby, bathrooms (public), pool, and rooms were exceptionally clean. The staff is attentive and friendly. The location, however, is the greatest asset. The famous Gas Lamp Quarter is literally steps away and there is a convenient connecting bridge to Petco Park. Although my stay was nice, the only complaint is that the in-room AC is lacking. I found myself waking up and kicking off sheets, because it was too warm, despite the low temp settings on controller.

Came in to get something to drink. Ended up hanging out in the lobby drinking beer. The lobby has a full service bar which serves coffee and food. The food was good and the price was not outrageous. There was beer on tap. The Hotel is right next to Petco park, home field of the Padres. The place was packed with people attending Comic con. Could not give five stars because I was not a guest.

This was a beautiful location. The girl we spoke with at the "front" desk was incredibly kind and helpful, offering to give us a tour of the place. Our room was nice, with a great view. Online check-in was easy and got us exactly what we wanted. The restaurant had a delicious breakfast, with great, tasty portions.

We visited the Omni San Diego because we came into town for a baseball game. The hotel was very nice. Everything was high quality and the staff was very attentive and pleasant. The fitness center is one of the best I've seen, also. It had several top notch cardio machines and other fitness equipment. We plan to stay there again, if we're visiting that area of San Diego.

Room was nice, but facing a parking lot and front desk wouldn't budge. They also didn't have my room ready when I got there and wouldn't allow us a late check-out — even just 15 mins extra — when we left. Nice enough place and close to a cool neat spots, but I won't be back.

Nice hotel, just be prepared to pay for everything including internet, breakfast, etc. Internet is free if you join their loyalty program AND if you booked directly with Omni, if you booked via a "3rd party" like Expedia or Hotels, no free Wi-Fi for you, they hide this info in their terms of service agreement, which lets be honest no one reads. Park in the garage next to the hotel, it's only $15 per day vs the $40+ something for valet.

Room is clean and located at the heart of SD convention center district. Walkable distance to gaslamp. Can park at the garage across fr9 m the hotel for cheaper parking. Lots of grwat restaurant in the area, also lots of high end pub and bar. Right next tothe home of SD Padres petco park stadium.

Awesome experience… from the doormen to the housekeepers, everyone was super nice and friendly. The room was berry large and ultra clean. I had a great view of the city from my room. I also requested a crib in my room; when I arrived the crib was already in the room… awesome service!

Customer service was incredible. The hotel is beautiful. Katherine was the receptionist that assisted my boyfriend and I. Her customer service was the best. She upgraded our room to a suite we were celebrating our anniversary. I loved how the next day in the morning we were able to go ride the bicycles it was included in our visit. The bar are is nice and they have good mixed drinks. This hotel is the perfect place for a get away it's closed to Gas lamp.

Luxury at it's finest! The view was breath-taking. The staff were top-notch. The restaurant was tasty. It was a little pricey — but a true example of the saying "You get what you pay for". It was worth every penny! Looking forward to our next stay!

The service was great. The room was very nice and clean. The lavatory had many accoutrements, like shampoo, sewing kit, q-tips, plenty of towels, a nice robe. The pool area has a great view from the sixth floor. There is a great steakhouse at the end of the lobby. Location of this place is optimal for convention goers, being on the edge of the Gaslamp District.

The Omni is great. The rooms are classy and upscale, the views are great, and the service is accommodating. The only thing I don't like is the bathroom design. The doors are frosted, so you can silhouettes of people in the bathroom, which is a bit weird. Other than that, I really like the hotel.

Our room was so beautiful! We were in a room that overlooked Petco Stadium and the Harbor. We had some spectacular sunset views! The bed was really comfortable. The towels were really soft. The staff was really friendly too. Everyone from the concierge, bellhop and valet were great! Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely modern room that felt spacious and most importantly, very clean. Bed was decent but could have been updated a bit to a better pillow top. Hotel is in a great location right near the stadium, convention center, and downtown gas lamp so it's central location makes it an ideal place to stay to walk just about everywhere. One other important thing is the sound deadening is sufficient to block out the train… This is very important unless you love hearing "ding ding ding" all night. Overall a definite to pick of places to stay in downtown SD.

Was very nice. In room water, I thought was very expensive. Key lock for the fridge was new to me. Bed was comfortable. Hot water was fast to the shower, no long waits. Staff was very helpful.

We booked this hotel via express deal on Priceline. It costs us just around $120. It has very nice location. Five blocks from the restaurants and bars on Market St. The room and bathroom is clean. It's also very quiet. I will definitely come back here next time when I visit SD.

The rooms are nice and location wasnt bad. Clean rooms an bathroom. Nice TV as well. Did not like the fact of having to pay for Wi-Fi in my room but had to go down to the lobby for free use. Wish they had more amenities.

The Omni is a very nice hotel. We've been there one night so far and check-in was a snap. The rooms are pretty nice. Ours had a great view of the convention center and the river. The TV was pretty decent and there were tons of stations… way more than at other hotels we've stayed at. The turn down service was a nice touch as well with free water. I've had better showers though and the valet service was a little slow this morning. Location wise this place works. It is near plenty of restaurants in walking distance and much more to do in driving distance. I haven't tried the pool or room service yet. I'm sure it'll be fine.

My first stay was perfect. The location is right near the bay and convention center. Room service was fast and tasty. Check in and put was extremely fast. Prices were decent for the location. Very highly recommended. A tip, there is a much cheaper parking garage across the street that charges much less unless there is a baseball game on.

Never again! Yes, its a beautiful hotel, but their business practices are misleading. I searched on Priceline, found a nightly rate of $85, supposedly a 60% discount. Couldn't get the hotel name until AFTER I booked. Here's why… the hotel's normal rates start at $85! When we checked in, the staff was wonderfully friendly. BUT there was a $40 FEE for our dog, and a $50 CLEANING fee! The dog's stay cost more than ours! The valet parked our car in their garage… for $40 FEE! Beautiful room, wonderful pool n spa, room service was great. But, never again will I use Priceline. And never again will I stay at this hotel, too sneaky. If it "sounds too good to be true", it is! I'm back to being a Travelocity customer, from now on.

Is a hotel located in a place accessible to the gas lamp district. Hotel is clean and elegant.

Fantastic property, very beautiful rooms and great concierge service. Everyone was kind and quick to help, and it's right downtown in the gas lamp district and next to the trolley, so it's accessible to all of San Diego!

Perfect location and staffs are very friendly, especially staffs in the lobby. Scenery is good to look over bay area. The hotel facilities look a bit old style that hardly believable for hotels level (4 star).

The lication is good but I really don't think why this hotel is 4 star. Especially the bathroom cleaness and the quality isn't satisfied with me thati thought. I never book tbis hotel again with this price.

If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. I was in town for an education conference in August 2015 and had a meeting across the street from the Omni early one morning. I was in a rush looking for a fruit cup to take with me, so I went into their Peet's Coffee Shop and there was a very long line but it appeared they were out of fresh fruit. I decided to ask the concierge if they knew where I could get one or if there was another place in the hotel and they told me to wait a few minutes and they'd see if the kitchen could do something for me. To my delight after a couple of minutes one of the gentleman at the concierge desk emerged carrying the most delicious looking fruit cup I could imagine. It was filled with a variety of fruits, all cut into very small bite-sized pieces instead of the giant pieces you usually see. He handed it to me along with a silver fork and I thanked him and asked how much it was, and he just told me to enjoy! I was so thrilled with this level of guest service experience. I used to work concierge services for Disney at one of their premier resorts many years ago, so getting to experience top level guest service like this as a customer was just so wonderful and refreshing. It is truly rare to come by it seems. I went back on my break to return the fork and thanked the man again, telling him how he had made my day.

Location is ideal for conference goers. Rooms are nice, but small, especially for families. Annoying non-locking bathroom doors.

It's a very nice hotel, BUT the Internet is not free. They charge by 3 and 8 megabite segments. It's the 21st century. Who the heck charges for Internet anymore?

Great hotel with great amenities. Only thing I did not like was the restaurant. Seemed a bit dated.

Excellent hotel, very well located, rooms are awesome, the rooms run from $290 with tax, I recommend it.

Great location, and incredible service. The cons: the business center is more than $25/hour (plus more charges for printing), Wi-Fi in the room is $10/day, and you can hear the frequent train crossing from pretty much every room in the hotel. The rooms are nice with adequate space. We asked and they brought up a fridge and microwave.

They kind of messed up with our room. The shower was way too strong, such that it blew the shower curtains all over the place. They moved us to another room that hadn't been cleaned well, and the house keeper they sent to fix it made an even bigger mess. They made it up to us, though, with a free room upgrade and one free night from our stay.

For the price, I was sure expecting Omni to have it all. Unfortunately the price tag didn't match the goods. Don't get me wrong this hotel is conveniently located in the Gaslamp district, the staff is beyond cordial and the building itself is lovely. But for almost $500 (with a Groupon) the room just didn't provide that awe inspiring wow-factor. The pros — If you call ahead and let the hotel know you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary they will provide a complimentary bottle of champagne and some tasty treats! The staff is amazing. Check-in was a breeze and the automatic check-out was painless. The views are amazing. Was on about the 14th floor and had both a view of the city and a snipet of the bay. The room placement is awesome. The bed was facing the balcony so we got a nice view as we slept and could even open the doors to let in a nice breeze. Bed was cozy! The cons- Really pricey. The rooms needed and update. I wasn't really feeling the carpet. I prefer the look of hardwood floors, it's more sophisticated. Valet is about $34 a night — _-. No late check-out — ___- Overall loved the place but didn't feel like I got a good deal. I stayed at the Palomar in SD and it's a lot nicer for half the price. I would suggest this place for sports fans because it's so close to Petco Park and they even have their own entrance into the park.

After checking in, Dane greeted us and took our luggage to the room. Dane was polite, friendly and professional. He also gave us some tips on which restaurants to eat at the Gas Lamp Quarter. The following day David helped us get my friend's car from the Valet Parking. David was very pleasant to speak with. When the car arrived, we got two small water bottles and they placed it in the cup holders; very thoughtful! ~Note: Valet parking is pricey even if you are staying at the hotel. It cost $38 dollars a day. Across the street you can self park your car for $15 a day. The garage is open 24 hours. ~Experience~ The standard room was clean but small, I thought it would be bigger. Decoration was simple and classy. I got two queen beds but it looked like full bed. I also liked the layout of the bathroom, it was spacious. The scent of the travel size lotion, shampoo and conditioner that the hotel provided had a refreshing scent; the ingredients contained Aloe Vera. They also provided a travel size mouth wash. ~Food~ Room Service is expensive, in addition to the amount of your order, you must add 20% plus $3.00 tip. I got the Chicken Tenders with fries and my friend ordered the Peanut Butter Cheesecake. When I called they said it would take 30 minutes but it was ready within 15 minutes. The Chicken Tender was good, it was not the frozen kind. My meal came with mini ketchup and Tabasco bottles. ~Rating~ If I plan to go back to San Diego I would not mind staying here again.

Well if ever a hotel deserved 5 stars — this is it! Helpful, helpful, helpful staff, Great location, great facility, great views, great rooms, terrific conference facility, easy access to the ball park, convention center, gas light district and more! Polite, helpful, courteous, kind and more. Best of the best for sure. My nights and days here are quite memorable, indeed! 7 Stars for sure. Thank you Omni! Especially the front desk, who many all of my concerns evaporate! Just ask and it will happen.
