The hotel is centered in a great bay location. It counts with very polite and friendly personnel. The breakfast is excellent. First time I stayed, looking forward to future stays.

Nice, clean and excellent room.

Terribly understaffed. Often front desk was alone. No one answers phone and when they do it’s just to place you on hold for 20 more minutes. The pool had some out of control guest. Was informed pool is checked every hour, not so. My shower in room had screws coming out of wall. Maintenance took forever and when they came they just left hole in shower wall. Not worth the money. Parking fee is crazy!

The rooms are not as nice as the advertised pictures, the bed squeaks with every move you make, they don’t tell you that you have to pay $45 a night for valet parking cuz there’s no self parking there, valet left a huge scrape on our $3, 000 24’ black rims & tried saying that the damage was there before but we did a walk around the vehicle before leaving it with them & it was not like that! Very disappointed with our stay. For the price I expected a lot better of a stay! I have stayed at Hilton’s in San Diego before & never had this problem. Do not recommend anyone staying here!

Terrible customer service, insane daily parking rates of $40 per day. $35 per day service fee. Paid $500 for the worst customer service ever. Reminded me of a motel stay. Will not be staying here again. Stay away from if possible.

Expedia says parking is $35.00 front desk agent wouldn’t honor our reservation with the $35.00 parking. She was rude and even willing to let us cancel and loose a paying customer with a 3 night stay over it. Wife and I usually stay at Marriott but wanted to switch it up. Honestly, had she been more courteous I’d be understanding, I’m in customer service too.

The Hilton Garden Inn is boutique hotel that is modern, comfortable and just across the street from the bay. It is one of two hotels in this two-year-old building. The other is a time-share. The open-air lobby is unique. But the weather in San Diego is comfortable year-round. The elevator services quick. There is a full service restaurant on the first floor, which opens for dinner after five. The well-planned and laid out rooms are small but surprisingly comfortable. The TV is huge. There are many plug-ins, both cell phone/laptop (12 volt outlets) and 120 volt receptacles available. Everything is wheelchair accessible. Parking is expensive but allows full in and out privileges. Electric car charging is free.

Beautiful room, though a tad on the small side. The water pressure in the shower was low, but the bathroom was nice. The pool situation at this hotel, however, is tragic. The pool is tiny in length and depth. It’s three feet deep in its entirety and not large enough for even seven or eight adults to swim comfortably. Because the ocean was too cold it would of been nice to be able to enjoy a nice hotel pool not a miserably minuscule kiddie tub. | The staff was helpful and friendly, however, paying for valet was an unnecessary add-on, then not being helped with the bags after dishing out 42$/night for parking a car was annoying. Ps. You don’t get a security deposit refund.

Great hotel, had a conference here in one of the rooms which was very well stocked with food and the service was quick. The meeting room had an amazing view however it provided ample space for everyone, the curtains created a dark atmosphere for our presentation, the only down side was that there were no screens. Parking was paid however it was a nice stroll to get to the hotel.

Booked a double King bed room which was nice. Not large by any means, but spacious enough nonetheless. Bed was comfortable, the room kept cool, and the shades did their job. The bathroom was pretty nice, though the sink plumbing could have used some work. The shower was nicer than most rooms I've stayed in, but the water pressure leaves a little left to be wanted. The staff have been really helpful and very courteous. Little bummed about the high cost of overnight valet, but with San Diego, I guess you can get away with it. Would have given 5 stars, were it not for the valet parking hike, and breakfast not being included. Who wants to pay $18 x 5 for a hotel breakfast buffet, when San Diego has some of the best eats around?

Everything about this hotel was SO AMAZING. Kind workers and staff. Beautiful views. Awesome pool and hangout areas. A great hotel for singles, couples, families, for all. Only reason for not all five stars was the $42 PARKING A DAY for GUESTS. That was ridiculous. And valet never helped with bags or anything, actually almost hit me with a car on the last day of my stay. Besides that my stay was perfect and I would love to return if I can park elsewhere.

We were in room 405 and we came for Comic Con. We usually stay closer to the convention but this was last minute and it was great. Being a little farther away made it a bit easier to eat and do non Con stuff. All staff were great. Restaurant was really good.

I attended an Amazon working meeting. A sales pitch at best. The hotel is immaculate. The staff helped me beyond any possible expectations in finding an item which was very valuable. The valet folks were very professional. I highly reccommend choosing this hotel. One standout employee is E. Money. She is an ace at the front desk.

I generally do not write reviews; however, my experience at this hotel was awful. First, I attempted multiple times to contact the front desk and the phone just kept ringing and no one would answer. This multiple times over several days. Second, the air conditioning unit kept making noise when it would shut off making a loud buzzing sound. I told the manager and she mentioned that she would send an engineer to address the problem that evening when I went to dinner. The engineer never showed up, so I had to sleep with that noise all night again. By the way, the engineer woke me up the following morning at 8:30 to fix the problem. Third, the elevators were not working properly and actually stopped between floors! I complained and the manager/front desk employees were indifferent, which was really upsetting to me. As such, I will never stay there again nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone.

We got there, they had overbooked, so the bay view room I had reserved was taken. They gave me a key to the room I walked up there the key wouldn't work I heard people inside so I knocked on the door and they had given my room away. I walked back down had to stand in the lobby for an hour and a half for them to get me another room which was not a bay view. The worst part was it a disabled man in the wheelchair and his son we're trying to check in at the same time I was, Hotel Hood giving away his handicap accessible room that was requested and booked to a couple that didn't even have handicap needs. They also sat there for an hour and a half and I'm not sure how their situation ended up. The staff seems pretty nonchalant about both issues which was super frustrating. I highly suggest calling and double and triple checking to make sure they have a room for you before you show up. Hotel itself in the hotel grounds were great, the check-in experience ruined the stay completely.

Clean and nicely appointed. Very nice lobby any restaurant. No real complaints. The room's that aren't bay view look out into the restaurant and into opposing units. The building seems to share with the Homewood suites. Location is just about as close to the airport as possible while still being across the block from the bay front. Also, you may be able to park in the area free instead of valet; look around.

I attended a Seminar here. I am thrilled to see another hotel near the Bay & Downtown Water Park. The location is 5 min from Airport, a short walk to Little Italy & the Bay on North Harbor Drive. Having a Roof Top pool area, only enhances this new hotel! 24 hr gym, and cool Bar & restaurant. You can take Airport Bus 992, walk one long block.

Arrived at the hotel at 6:30 pm. Room wasn't ready. Went to the restaurant next door and waited one hour. Went back to the front desk and was told that the room was just cleaned and that I could go up. The front desk was lady was nice enough but her idea of a nice view and mine are vastly different. My view, once I arrived in my room was of the Mobile gas station, but I guess she was right. If I looked beyond the Mobile station right outside my window, I did see the city lights. I didn't have a good feeling about the hotel and my feelings were confirmed when I went into the bathroom. Not one, but two finger nail clippings were on the bathroom sink along with strands of black hair. I am a brunette. Final straw: the Caesar salad. Don't do it. Just don't. I was so disgusted by the filthy room, I slept in just the sheets, though I'm not sure that they were clean either. I stayed one night instead of two as I had planned. Never again.

Hilton does not honor it's own price match guarantee policy. I had the same room and rate through a third party for this hotel, viewable by anyone, meeting the the exact criteria that Hilton requires for a price match, and they wouldn't do it. Not very honest of them. I have all the screen prints that prove it.

The location is great, right by the little Italy and the port. So if u have a cruise perfect 5 min walk. The rooms were average size but this place looks very modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door had good breakfast but dinner menus was not very good. Ribs were over cooked, bread was very dry and tasted stale. I would rate that restaurant a 3 out of 5 only because the service was great. I believe this is where your room service food came from.

I love how this lobby smells. Stayed here for Spring 08 CRSSD with the corner harbor view room. 'Twas a good CRSSD. If you do Hilton Honors, even better!

Nice hotel and staff are lovely but unfortunately I will not stay in this hotel again. As an international traveller I have never seen a hotel mess up a bill more than this one. Shocking is an understatement staff seem to have the ability to modify customers bills and they seem to take as many payments from your corporate card as they want without prior checks with the customer. Very disappointing and the management did nothing to rectify this issue even though they recognised the huge problems with my billing. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone staying long term… fine for 1 or 2 nights but I won’t be back.

We stayed four nights in this beautiful hotel, with the ocean and downtown San Diego view. So many things within walking distance! The staff was incredible!

The rooms are a decent size and the beds are good size and comfortable. Fittings are modern and the entire hotel seems to be up to date and looks the part. The attached restaurant at street level serves really nice food but is a little dimly lit.

Located in downtown San Diego, this hotel is very close to many attractions such as bars and food places. It has a rooftop pool on the second floor that is open and you receive the sun during the D ia. The place and the rooms feel new. They have arenas in gym and business center.

We stayed here for one night. Location and service were good. Kids loved the giant Jenga game and adults loved the generous wine pours during happy hour. Everyone was happy.

The room was nice and clean. There was efficient space for cooking and recreation. There was no room service for breakfast so that was terrible. Thanks.

Very good but the people at the front desk didn't really want to work.

When you first walk in you notice the wonderful fragrant smell in the lobby and then you notice the beautifully decorated Christmas tree. I was pleasantly welcome by the the attendant at the desk. We then walked over to the outdoor bar area but we sat with another couple and we had a couple of drinks and some small hors d'oeuvres. The employees were very attentive the place was very well clean. I completely enjoyed myself and I shall return for another visit.

Limpo, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fresh, the due of Happy Hour were rich.

I'm only giving this place 2 stars because the young guy that workers front desk is awesome. There 2 ladies that work front desk that should never be allowed to work in customer service. One of the ladies seem like her personality is a little shy from people but the other woman is purposely being rude, she won't even say you're welcome when you give her a thank you. I said thank you 5 times and that rude female ignored me every time on purpose might I add. She also didn't give me my breakfast vouchers and lied to me about them. I had to spend a lot of unnecessary money because that employee doesn't care about customer services.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable and in the best place possible to visit the harbor, museum and enjoy dinner in little Italy. Price for parking is prohibitive (40$ … in usual hotels I stayed, it is more 15€ …). My room was located in font of rails but trains are not noisy. I will recommend to request view on the sea when booking the room!

This hotel is very classy and clean. The bedrooms are spacious and modern. My only minor complaint is that the parking spaces are very narrow, so it's hard to park next to larger vehicles. The inside of the hotel, however, is delightful.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The hotel restaurant had a great happy hour and breakfast. The location was convenient. The only downside was the expensive valet parking, but that is very common in this area.

Perfect location, walking distance to everything downtown. Two small gripes: 1. No towels in the gym… recurring problem 2. Parking super expensive $40 a day… you can find spots on street.

All the staff from the valets to the front desk to the room service people were extraordinarily friendly and very efficient and competent. The Pacific Standard is one of the best restaurants in San Diego. The Maryland-style crab cakes were the best I've had in years! All lump crabmeat, no filler. I was reminded of home. The Roasted Beet salad was an epicurian delight: complexity involving multiple textures, colors and tastes. The salad included red and golden beets, arugula, avocado pieces, tangerine slices and fresh roasted pistachios. Best beet salad ever! The Brioche Bread! Very close to Grandma's dinner rolls in a miniature glass rectangular-shaped baking pan. They took the time to brush the top with melted butter! Melt-in-my mouth yummy delicious goodness. Their Lemon Sorbet — best sorbet ever! Palate cleansing and ever so tasty!

Very nice, modern style hotel. Surprisingly quiet even though the train line is behind. The trains are very slow and are not running late at night or early morning. Very good restaurant on site with great happy hour specials. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing hotel! Very sophisticated Interior design, the breakfast is so good and the beds are very comfortable! If felt like home because of the decor. The view from the pool is so relaxing especially at night.

We stayed 5 nights here. One day has no bath towel. One day I called for room service and guest service from both room phone and external phone, but no one picked up the phone, then was transferred to reservation line… After an hour finally got fresh towel and coffee cups.

Great location! Took a beach weekend and drove down from Los Angeles. Within 15-20 minute driving distances from the two beaches we wanted to visit: Mission Beach and Del Beach at Coronado. And, when we weren't at the beach — we were wuthkn walking distance from Little Italy and enjoyed breakfast and dinner locally. We also walked to the Saturday farmer's market — very convenient! I will be returning to this hotel soon!

Great hotel! Everything was clean and tidy. Room was modern. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was sparking when we arrived. Good location. Easy walk to the Coronado ferry. Near restaurants and bars in Little Italy. Would go back and would recommend!

Great location right by the water and walking distance to restaurants in Little Italy. Also a short drive to downtown restaurants and bars. The hotel is new so it's very clean and inviting but the beds are small double beds and not very soft.

Nice bar/restaurant right at the corner of the property. Good selection of original and tasty craft cocktails and beers. Food looked good, but I did not have any. Charcuterie was the hit at the table. Prices were a little high, but typical for hotel restaurants.

My room had a great view facing towards the ocean. Room was clean and of the few services I used the attendants were very professional and and welcoming. Only complaint would be the elevator floors were a bit dirty.

Hotel stay was great, stayed one night for work. The hotel is brand new, it is very clean and has a great modern appearance. The workout area and hot tub area are both clean and well kept. The only downside of my stay was the parking ($40 a night if you valet) and breakfast ($19 for breakfast buffet)
