Went to the Hard Rock for a night swim pool party. It was great! Bottle service was perfect, the pool was fun and the music was great! It was crowded but not too bad as we had our own private cabana. Getting to the bathrooms was a journey though! I will definitely be back.

We had 10 problems with this hotel I highly do not recommend and this is in the middle of my stay 1. Our door knob to our balcony broke 2. The lights by my bed don’t work 3. The fire alarm stared going off out of no where and went on for like 10 minutes 4. The rooms are freezing 5. There was a pool party going on till 5 am there were playing really loud music so I couldn’t sleep 6. I switched rooms at 12am because 2 many problems in our room 7. Our toilet paper holder broke 8. Our neighbors were VERY LOUD! 9. The toilet didn’t flush 10. We couldn’t go to the pool five hours after the party was down because they were still cleaning.

The Service: Very attentive~ Love their customer service! The Food: Love their burgers! Nice juicy beef patty with all fresh ingredients. The Parking: Park at the mall across street from the restaurant. 3 hours free with validation.

Total party hotel. Nice and clean. Fully stocked minibar and snack tray. Very modern look. Convenient location. Only drawback is that it is a bit noisy. Also, the television HDMI connection was not working (but I fixed it). The sink also drained super slowly, but I think that is a California-style-save-water feature, which is cool.

It is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms and quite a few amenities. The staff is quite helpful in finding things to do around the city. It's in a very good location for attendance at a conference that's being held at the convention center. The convention center is located right across the street from the hotel. The hotel does provide valet parking at a fee of $25. It does not offer breakfast or similar amenity for free.

Seems like a classy establishment, didn’t eat there… didn’t stay there… but did go to a country concert on the roof. Lots of big guys in Speedo’s smashing their heads on the ground was interesting. The concert shouldn’t have been acoustic. Bud lights should be discounted when they come as a bucket. We will come back for the next one.

Had a great time. The staff was great. Was in and out of valet all weekend and they were on it which is nice in a big city. Was able to get an early check in and some other great perks bybusing the app which was legit. Had room service both days and it was good food. Try the sliders!

It was OK but we got the wrong bedroom we ordered 2 Queen beds and got 1 king.

Please do not stay here. It has decent rooms and amenities, but don't expect to use them. It's a hotel that's convinced itself it's still a relevant music venue, rather than just a hotel. The amenity and pool deck is constantly used by mediocre music events open to outsiders, rather than keeping it open to its hotel guests first and foremost. And because of these events, don't expect to get any sleep. It's ridiculous — it doesn't matter what theme you fit your hotel into, at the end of the day, you're still running a hotel. Your guests deserve to sleep and use the amenities undisturbed, and certainly shouldn't have to share those spaces with people not even staying in the hotel. Sure the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, but so are other hotels in the area (such as the Omni across the street, which I recommend 100% over the Hard Rock). You're either a hotel, or your a music venue, but not both. I shouldn't have to sit wide awake on a random Monday night waiting for non-hotel guests to finally leave the pool deck and for the sub-par cover bands to finally shut down. You run a hotel — BE A HOTEL, not a wannabe spring break destination.

Great location and the rooftop bar and pool are awesome. Rooms are somewhat dated and priced high, but to be expected for SD and location. Easy to get to from airport and easy to find transportation around. Nice sports bar inside that has outdoor seating and smoking area (wow! ). Travel here somewhat regularly and it;s not a bad place to stay at all.

Absolutely love this place. Staff is absolutely amazing. The pool is not a big big pool, but the weekend fun at SUNBURN is always a great time. They have vendors, beautiful women dancing, serving, and attending. Drinks are accessible at 3 different bars and there are nice cabanas to rent as well. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Another place to stay if you are ever in the San Diego downtown area.

Here you have good drinks! I recommend Lychee's martini. But, it's a little too expensive.

I liked everything. We went to take a bar. We didn't spend them dancing and drinking. Good weather.

Absolutely Terrific Place… Incredible service… The front desk team, the Bell staff, housekeeping team, the sales team… we're all just Amazing! Yummy, Creative Food! Pretty property & well taken care of… I would go back there any time.

I only stopped in for a quick drink with our convention team after a long day of setup. Close to the convention center — just across the street. The bartenders and waiters were great — helpful and fun. Gave us some good recommendations on things to do while we were in town. We didn't get a chance to eat but I'd go back and sit outside for some appetizers next time I'm in town for a convention.

Really cool hi location to stay in San Diego.

Only saw entertainment spaces here, but very impressive. Nice furnishings, great staff. Bar prices like all downtown SD hotels — Not cheap. Still, overall atmosphere and surroundings very pleasant. Recommend to all.

I've been to the shop. One of the most beautiful of those I visited (not the biggest, not the most assorted, but the one with the things that I liked the most)! Staff, as always, very kind and hot.

Spent multiple days at a business conference in the hotel and stayed in the rooms. My room was large king bed with a well defined lounge area with TV and mini bar. The center of the room is the sink and mirror area flanked by separate commode and shower rooms. The shower has two rainfall heads and no curtain in the room. The bed is comfortable and the staff have been attentive and friendly. If it's in your budget, it's a beautiful hotel close to all the fun stuff in downtown San Diego!

Attended a conference at the Hard Rock in San Diego. Staff was prompt and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Conference rooms provide adequate space and decent seating for comfort. The catered food was delicious. Pool area is fun, relaxing, and comfortable. Location is amazing, close to many great local restaurants and shopping, as well as the bay.

So so much fun! We stayed 3 days. They upgraded us to a suite. So nice of them! We did the NYE 2018 party and it was nuts! So much fun. I think it was just as fun as Vegas! Will be back soon!

Great place, had fun. It's close to the airport and easy to find nearby drinks and food. Recommended! Staff was very professional as well.

Awesome venue to celebrate the new year! Plenty of space and dance floors along with multiple bars which are easy to access. DJ variation was good, hopefully they select more talented DJ's next year. Drink selection was great and $5 coat check-in was super convenient. Will definitely consider attending again next time!

I have booked this hotel due to the good reviews and can only join me! The rooms are very nice, the service excellent and the location very central near the Gaslamp Quarter. And: Ingenious parties at the hotel — pool parties on the roof, Halloween parties, etc.!

This hotel is awesome year round. Comic Con is the best. But they always have events going on. Rooftop yoga or pool parties and more. You don't have to stay here to enjoy all the stuff going on. Location can't be beat.

I had such an amazing stay at Hard Rock Hotel. The staff was more than amazing. The experience is one I won't soon forget. Charlie and Tony were the greatest making sure to meet all our needs.

The hotel was very nice and modern. Some rooms were very used. But I really enjoyed our time here. We were in the center of the gas Lamp district and had a lot of life in the night.

Room was nice, very modern and well designed. Loved all the music art every where! Cool view of Petco Park too. Also nice that the hotel has 2 restaurants, a bar, pool area, night club, and Woodstock concert area. Valet parking was expensive, but a parking structure next door is much cheaper!

Great location and cool vibe. We arrived early and asked to check in. We got upscaled to a suite that was clean and ready. They couldn't make any promises for our regular room until after 4pm. Room was nice and spacious but HOT! we kept adjusting the A. C. But it stayed slightly warm. This was the only con. Right next to the Padres stadium. Awesome view. I would come back.

Great. Don't be fooled by the old gold exterior — modern, clean, fantastic shower with the double rainfall setup. Pricey, but we finally got our money's worth for that price — in LA and San Diego for the week. Staff's great as well.

Very nice hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Great location in Gas Lamp District. Pool area nice but pool quite small. Our suite was not big and poorly laid out. Shower had no barrier so leaked. Toilet had limited privacy. Expensive for what you get.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The valet service was friendly and quick. Check in was quick and the room was standard. There's everything you would expect in a hotel room and not many extras. The fridge and counter are supplied with expensive drinks and snacks. You're better off bringing your own food and refreshments. The bed could have been better and the pool bigger. The location is conveniently close to lots of restaurants and stores, and the San Diego Trolley is right across the street.

Upscale hotel and pricey, but it is well worth it. Everything is quite modern and before you arrive, the staff will ask you to request the kind of music you like and it will be playing in your room when you check in. I found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. There are multiple roof top bars and places to hang out within the hotel, but it's located in a part of town with a lot to do so you should get out and check out the neighborhood. If you don't mind spending a little money, this is well worth the price to stay here. Ps. Try to catch a ball game across the street while you're here.

The hotel and staff are great! I was in San Diego for a week long conference. By far the nicest hotel I have been put up in for work. The staff was always smiling and helpful. Case and point, I had a flight get canceled and had to leave the hotel in a flash to catch a flight. I realized that I left my watch in my room during the whirlwind packing. I called hotel on Friday to see if they could locate the watch. They found it and shipped it home to me in Illinois. I was leaving Monday evening for vacation and my watch showed up that day! Can't say enough good things about the people and my stay at this hotel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It's got a great location for restaurants and the waterfront and the staff is very responsive and treats you like you are important. My only complaint is that I could not get the hot water to work in the shower during my 3 day stay there in the mornings even though I had the maintenance man come and check it out in the evening. The hot water would not run run for me and my travel buddy despite operating as one woukdc expect and following the maintenance' instructions. No other complaints.

Stayed here for a night, the hotel staff is very helpful. We got to rent a guitar and DJ set, however, we had to return the latter because it was missing a piece and the staff didn't have any more sets. But we got to play the guitar on the TV which was really cool to do. The layout of the room was cool, and the beds were super comfy.

The best thing is that hotel is the restaurant nobu.

Great hotel, but had an issue where they had sold out of the suite we had booked. All we got in compensation was the price difference, which would have been ok, except for the fact that we spent 2hrs on the phone with our booking company finding out why we were in the wrong room instead of being informed at or before checkin. What was supposed to be a romantic getaway, wasn't.

Came here for a bachelor party on Memorial Day weekend. The Hard Rock was well located in Gaslamp within walking distance to some excellent restaurants and breweries which were a focus for us. The staff were excellent, great concierge with advice on things to do, and the ability to check out a Fender guitar for the room was a nice touch! We also enjoyed the decor and a queen suite which was great for hanging out at the end of the night before crashing. A very memorable trip made better by a great place to stay. Thanks!

Highly efficient and in a good position to move, the tram is right out. To go downtown (gasLamp) it takes 5 minutes on foot. It's quiet and you can reach downtown in 10 minutes.
Inside the hotel, connected, there's Nobu restaurant in San diego, not to be missed.

Club on bottom floor, amazing night life nearby, steps away from great food, Nobu is right there. Gotta love the see through shower walls too. We will be back!

I had a great experience at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. You couldn't ask for a more convenient place to be. I was able to walk across the street and catch a Padres game. The people are really friendly. The room smelled fresh and was spotless. The pool is really small though. But a very nice pool deck. And of course, the staff were great. I only give it 4 instead of 5 stars though because they charge a $23 fee per day that is essentially a resort fee. It's not optional. And it isn't included in your rate when you book. There are some good perks. But this isn't a resort hotel. Also the parking fee is $47 per day! Ouch! Park just behind the hotel in the ACE parking garage. Always spots available and it's cheap compared to everything else. Parked for $15 a day. Very reasonable for overnight parking next to PetCo Park.

Very funny but to receive our food and drinks took much.

I've been multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful and clean inside. The beds are comfy and clean as well. The atmosphere is incredible too, you feel like a rock star during your entire visit.

It was very soft with the things of the stars.

Always a great place to stay. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I hate how you find out that valet fee is 48 dollars a night and there are additional resort fees as well. Read your contract when booking. I do love this place the best though when we are in this area.

I have to say I really liked this hotel — I was just in for the weekend to run the San Diego Half Marathon, very late check in Friday night, but still had a nice room. The front desk staff was very nice (as a former hotel manager, I judge! ), and accommodating when I requested a late check out post race on Sunday. My room was clean, the mini bar options funny, and I really liked the room layout. Housekeeping missed my room Saturday even though I was out of the room until 1pm, but there were plenty of towels and such so I didn't mind too much. The location can't be beat — I will stay here again.

Pros: Room was great Beds were comfortable Bathroom was clean Service was nice Cons -Hallways were dirty (party hotel so puke stains and spills were frequent on our floor) -Amenities fee is required even if we don't use any -parking is close to 50 bucks a night I've seen lots of negative reviews based on parties going on at the hotel. There were a lot of parties, but it was to be expected at the Hard Rock so it didn't bother us.

I can't say enough about how nice this hotel was to stay at. Trevor at the front desk was extremely helpful, courteous, and very professional. He took care of everything from the reservation to checking in/out. We stayed in the Rockstar Suite and I can't explain how perfect this room was. Anytime I plan another trip to San Diego I will be staying here at the Hardrock! Trevor, Thanks again for everything!

Visited the Hard Rock on a whim to get away from the late winter blues in Michigan. Was welcomed with great service, stylish rooms, and a beyond excellent location downtown. Don't let the prices fool you, you're getting a great value if you're staying downtown.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The layout of the room is quite odd because the bathroom sink is in the middle of the entire room with no noise separation aside from a curtain between the open bathroom area and the bed. The shower is very loud because of the lack of separation as well. However, if you are staying by yourself ir traveling with someone on a similar schedule then this shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise a nice hotel.

A complete dump! Do NOT believe the hype garbage on this site. The hotel has all the bums sleeping on the front door, the hallways are tiny and walls wore out from baggage carts, the hotel is way off the actual gaslamp, the hotel bar is dead empty nearly on a Friday night, the TV in the room provides NO movies only local channels, the shower doors do not close well flooding the floor outside and the valet is $47 a NIGHT! It's all purely insane. Fine, ignore me and stay and find out for yourself and you'll completely regret not listening. Let me rephrase: this hotel is NOT a luxury hotel that it's been advertised as, and it's EASILY not a "Top 10" pick. I would have MUCH preferred ANY of the other main hotels around over this ESPECIALLY when the advertisement is DECEPTIVE as to how "good" or is.

Went to Mary Jane's restaurant for breakfast with my mom and sister. The restaurant atmosphere is themed heavily in rock and roll and is awesome. The food selection is pretty wide and accommodates the health oriented, vegetarian and those who love the good ole meat and potatoes basic style meals. The service was excellent and the food was the same. Prices were average for gas lamp area and was worth it.

Very chique and unique but some of the design is odd. Bathrooms in the rooms have no privacy at all and they are the best up-selling hotel I have ever seen. Touche!

We stayed at the Hard Rock for a weekend getaway. It was amazing! I loved the vibe of the place. The suite we got was also awesome and had a great view. Also loved that Nobu was just downstairs. That place is delicious! Will definitely stay here again.

The location is amazing since its next to all of the restaurants in the downtown area. The king suite is also great. I thought it would be too loud based on other reviews but it hasn't been. Service has been good overall.

Great place to stay. Rooms are very nice. Feel like a rockstar. Customer service is above my expectations. Gave it four because the food at the 207 bar is not great. Also, depending on the night you go, the male bartenders tend to be rude and un appreciative. Except the balled guy, sorry I forgot his name. Other wise it is a great place to stay when visiting San Diego. Its in the beginig of gaslamp district.

We went in 207 to have a beer and happy hour. I was happy with the service but the fries were meh… Lemon and fries do go well. The banana ketchup was interesting. Would go back one day eventually.

Absolutely wonderful. Nina at the front desk greeted us and made making a reservation a piece of cake! She was very honest and genuine in answering all of our questions and told us about the fantastic packages. She was fabulous and we are looking forward to our stay in December if it's going to be anything like that experience!

I worked an event in the Edge Room. It was a great space and worked well for the party. Cool guitars owned by famous musicians and I got to stare at my favorite picture of Elvis Presley for 3 hours. I've also been here for pool parties in the summer, which are so fun!

If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. A more interesting than most of the hotels in san diego. Great weekend spent here with a group of friends in one of there suits. Love the shower too by the way. The club was jumping that night we went and packed.

Beautiful view of this restaurant really urged me to enter and have a dinner with firends. Price were high but the dinner was awesome. It is luxurious, splendid. Services are too friendly as well as quick.

Small dance floor on regular nights. Best time to go for Halloween event. Elite security work here but don't give proper breaks. Parking costs. I wouldn't go back unless I get free entry, which you can on the guest list online.

Pretty hotel, great location, good customer service, friendly people. Only down side right next to the train tracks some what noisy, however I am happy and will stay again.

207 in San Diego is the spot to hang out at. I was roaming around gaslamp district and some random girl approached us to give us VIP passes to get in for free. Of course we took up on the offer or other wise it's usually $20 to get in. We only spent 20 mins in there because we didn't know it was a white party. Everybody was wearing white. Anyway, music was blasting and people were nice. I had fun dancing here.

Great location in the heart of Gaslamp. Be aware of upcoming events as it may cause a delay in check in. Great bars and restaurants. I will most definitely return here on my next stay in San Diego.

Hotel itself and room was clean and very friendly hotel staff. However, there were a lot of inexperienced drinkers staying at hotel. We stayed three nights and we had a very drunk young person try to get into our room at 2 a. M for about 10 minutes with his room key. When we woke up the next day there was puke in the hallway. Every night loud drunks walked down the hall. If you don't mind not sleeping and dealing with annoying drunk people this is your place. If you want to have a more quiet experience stay somewhere else. We will next time.

Woo-hoo, had a blast for my Amigas 30th birthday bash.

Outside of being charged a great deal more on my card than should have been charged for a "hold'. It was nice. Im pretty aggravated that I was had three separate charges for one line item. The billing doesnt make sense to me and the person I spoke to could not explain it only to say they had released the "excessive funds" and hopefully the money will be back on my card within 48 hours.

The rooms are very nice, but I had a very unfortunate experience where I believe the bartender essentially stole from me. When I confronted her about it, she denied I even paid her. The manager came over and I simply said "just pull the video, it's right there". He told me he would address it in the morning. I called and went down to the front and he proceeded to basically hide from me for the two days I was there, ignoring my calls, etc. When I returned home, I wasn't going to let it go. It wasn't the money, but the principle of the situation. Finally I was able to get in touch with the hotel manager. He said he reviewed the tape, but was unable to see the interaction. He did provide me with a one day free pass (which is the only reason they didn't get one star), but the truth is after that experience I would never recommend anyone staying there and I will never again.

Let's just say you know what you're getting into when you stay here. A certain kind of folk with a certain type of taste with just a hint and a whiff of Vegas coming your way. Rooms are pretty spectacular, if not a bit small, and the walls are too thin for my taste. But aside from that a better party pad is not to be had. Location is great if you're looking to get out in downtown, which would be the case if you're staying here.
