At first glance this hotel is shabby and dated on the outside. The room was simple but ok. The area was very loud and made it hard to sleep. Looking at the details, … it is Very dated and run down. The workers laundry is awful. Its outside under the parking lot behind a chain link fence! Never staying here again. Please look elsewhere.

It looks a lot like a motel! When you open the door of the room there is the sink on the right. On the other hand there is a small balcony. We had breakfast included, with bagels and the inevitable peanut butter, various foods for a sweet and salty breakfast.

Aweful Hotel. Don't stay here if safety is important to you. Small parking lot, with $15 charge. Broken door to our room and lock doesn’t work. AC doesn't work. Ice machine doesn't work. Elevator is sketchy/tiny/hot/foul smelling and to boot it rattles, clunks and shakes. Non stop emergency services sirens, car alarms and people shouting. (That was in the middle of the week, just imagine a weekend! ) The staff treat you like you are a nuisance instead of a guest! Many better Days Inn locations in San Diego! Such as the one on Circle Drive!

It needs a little updating in rooms. Not to eye pleasing. The bed was not to comfortable. An need much better breakfasts. Nothing hot to eat. Besides toast. Is close to everything downtown. Easy walk to convention center. Staff was extremely nice!

Decent priced hotel with close proximity to the zoo and sea world. The television has more channels than any hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was quite basic but you can take your bagel and coffee to go. The street noise is a little loud, they charge $15 for parking, and the rooms face outside. Overall I liked this hotel.

Nice staff. Good price. Ran into an issue with Priceline and they worked with us. Facility is a little dated and parking tight, but the rooms were good. The price was great for the location.

They didn't tell me I had to pay $15 a day for parking when I made the reservation. The man checking us in was rude & slick talking. Next time I will stay at Best Western like I planned.

Visited on vacation and really liked the location. Close to both the Gaslamp District as well as Little Italy for night life. Also close to the zoo and Balboa Park. The rooms are simple, but fine if you are just using it as a place to sleep. Breakfast was free and had a good selection. No eggs or hot food served at breakfast.

The manager was awesome both nights, very clear about our room directions and how to access survices. Also very knowledgable of the nightlife and surroundings. Would definitely stay again!

3rd party website nor the company website mentions a parking fee. Noisy guests. Room was clean, bathroom needs to be updated. Housekeeping staff are very efficient. Would stay elsewhere next time. Only convenient thing is the location.

Clean room with plenty of towels. Great breakfast selection for free. Was able to charge my car with an electrical part by the fountain. Great customer support at the front desk.

Cheap hotel in a good location. Furniture was no longer the latest, but still quite ok. Continental (poor) breakfast was including parking cost $10 extra. Gaslight Quarter and HAfenarea were within walking distance.

Breakfast included, free Wi-Fi.
Spacious rooms and frequent change of towels. Lots of pillows and great motel location 15e per day for parking maybe a bit too much but in line with the city costs.
Ice machine along the floors very noisy.
Anyway I would recommend it to stay a few days in San Diego.

Desk staff was rather rude while checking in to the hotel. Room was fairly nice but the chemical used for cleaning was overwhelming and gave me and my partner nausea and an upset stomach. Beds were very uncomfortable and hard. The website said nothing about the fee for parking, which was $15 each night. The only nice part was the location.

There's a few things I have to say about this hotel. The staff is neither as helpful nor particularly friendly. Customer satisfaction is not their priority. I happened to stay here twice and the second time was more discouraging than the first. They just meet with you, provide you a room and the rest is for you to figure out. They apparently don't even know the structural layout of where they work. I asked for a Room with a balcony and they had to walk outside and gaze around to see which of the rooms even had one. I mean shouldn't it be in their database?! When I got to my room, the balcony door was jammed to which I called the front desk to bring it to their attention. That guy's sarcastic response was literally, " I don't know… there's no one here to fix it. " (I ended up opening it myself) when I called to request another packet of coffee be sent up. That same guy says, "you have to come down and get it yourself. " Needless to say the rude manner. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. If you wanna try the Days Inn, check out he one next to Qualcomm stadium in mission valley, it has much more to offer and the staff is much more professional and freindly. Good luck!

Cheapest place we could find close to Santa Monica pier that wasn't a complete dump. Would rather find an air bnb next time. Only plus is free parking.

Great inexpensive place to stay. Nice complimentary breakfast and the staff was very accommodating.

Absolutely disgusted by this hotel. We attempted to check in for our reservation at 3pm only to be told by the most disrespectful incompetent buffoon front desk attendant John, no rooms were clean. Ok so we waited. 45 mins in we went back up to the desk to check in and the idiot John refused to take my credit card for payment because he couldn't figure out his system. Absolute waste of space and time this John. Absolutely incompetent excuse for a front desk. We ended up cancelling because of this moron and found a much much better hotel one block over. Management, you have a disgrace representing your front office. Address it. Continued loss revenue is all you will achieve with that buffoon.

Room had a balcony and a nice view. Clean room.

The price is great for being really close to downtown. The rooms are comfortable, and the parking is cheap.

Stayed for an overnight trip. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Free breakfast in the morning was convenient. No complaints.

Pretty good location and nice views from the balcony of all of the nicer places you could have stayed. This area has lots of neat remodeled old school motels with exterior access from each room. This hotel is not one of those, more just old and not remodeled. Fans of breaking bad will be pleased — reminds you of the Cristal Palace.

I fearing room is tiny it has 1 bathroom and 2 beds and one TV and no kicten and the rest is just bulcarp days inn suck! i'm never beening in days inn and sleeping and going in the place. Good for you ares look crap. This such carp I never book something that looks like this sand deago sucks!

About a 20 minute walk from the convention center. The exterior is nothing spectacular to look at, but the interior is comfortable. A good value if you just need a place to sleep at night.

Great service. The person at the desk was a tad sarcastic… A little odd for a person in such a job… The room was clean however the room did smell a little off. It smelt like an older building so it wasn't so bad but for the price it is kind of expected…

CANCELLATION POLICY AND ONLINE BOOKING IS A JOKE! I tried booking a room online for my boss at this hotel. There was a problem with the website, so I called the hotel to book the room. No problem and I was emailed a confirmation for the ONE room. Well, my boss couldn't make his trip due to personal reasons and I told him we might eat the cost. A few days later he checks his credit card bill and he was charged for TWO rooms. I called and spoke with front desk personnel about what had happened when I tried booking online, and the fact that we were only emailed ONE confirmation. They said so sorry, we'll submit it for review for a refund. After a week of waiting and calling the "customer care service" line, still no refund and now they can't discuss the details of case with me because I'm not my boss, even though I book all his travel and have been the only person dealing with this mess. My employers travel all over the country, but I know one hotel that will happily be left off the list in the future.

Great proximity to the convention center (we were visiting for Comic Con). The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our rooms were nice and clean and plenty of towels and extra toiletries. We would stay here again!

Clean and good location. The room is big. They always put clean towels.
