This review will be posted everywhere! OUR HOTEL ROOM WAS ROBBED. I repeat, ROBBED, and the procedures taken were so terrible and could put future guests at risk! The hotel manager and security did not have us fill out an incident report, but FILLED ONE OUT FOR US that we later could not see. The security took his own notes and asked me to write down what was missing on a SCRATCH piece of paper. This was after I asked him for a pen and he said 'no, I only have this one and I am using it. ' Then let me use it when he was done with his notes. We asked the Manager, George, do we call the police or do you? His response was, 'you can call them if you want. ' And then he left the room. We did call the police. *When we went back down to wait in the lobby, we asked for the manager again and the front desk guy told us that he left for the night. There was a robbery in a room at the hotel and HE LEFT BEFORE THE POLICE GOT THERE. I will also note here that I felt very bad for the front desk guy. He was left alone to deal with a lot and he was clearly overwhelmed. The fact that this manager left him to deal with everything was not ok and the front desk guy deserves some praise for having handled everything so well and was the only one who was even remotely kind to us. Other hotels that I called told me that they would immediately change our room for us due to the fact that the room had been compromised, and it was a safety issue. They also said they would comp the room for the night.

Great staff & location. Rooms are also spacious and have great views.

I would like to commend Phil one of the late shift employees for being exactly what one would look for at the Marriott brand. Friendly, professional, caring and resourceful.

Far too expensive at $175 per night for a very basic room with noise from the ice machine all night. No breakfast and they charge for parking. Won't be staying there again.

The hotel is getting renovating at this point and I hope they complete it sooner rather than later. The location is good and I was fortunate to get one of the renovated rooms. This is a strictly a place for short term business professionals. The room is clean and the staff is super friendly.

Our work treats top performers for a lunch once a year here. They did not have the correct order last year and 3 people did not get the options they selected ahead of time. Parking is easy and food is good. Can't complain for free. Dessert is always great.

Currently one of three downtown hotels able to accommodate large groups. Word of advice, book early if staying within the historic square mile boundaries. Every weekend is booked without failure all year around.

July — Aug 2018. As a platinum elite member that has been staying at Marriott properties for almost a year now, This is one of the worst places I have had the unfortunate misery of staying at. Prices are low because of remodeling which means often water shortages, noise and very slow elevators. Room service is the worst! Took them over a week to change sheets and pillows. I started getting pimples in areas on my neck, that only went away when I changed hotels! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Seems like you have to ask for anything three times or more to get any response and when you do it’s usually lacking. Very important packages that get misplaced and forgotten, even though you call ahead during and after delivery! The only two things that are oddly good in this awfully run hotel are the in-room dining 10/10, and the parking that has four charging spots for electric cars 3 for Tesla’s and one universal charger. You are better off elsewhere.

Great views from the room 701, excellent staff with friendly customer service. Starbucks is served at the bar and C3 restaurant located inside. You can order Room service untill 11pm. Family's go take a dip in a super Clean pool and hangout with drinks while the kids swim. Parking garage can be tricky when full. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served Daily.

First of all I wanted to express how beautiful the hotel was the ambiance was so intimate and relaxing as well it was my first time there I enjoyed everything about it. I recently stayed there for my heart and soul woman conference the staff was amazing. Randy the loss prevention agent was amazing he was so kind and generous! Will be coming back soon!

This Marriott is very nice! My room was lovely and very clean with a beautiful mountain view. Stayed on the 12th floor to take advantage of the Concierge Lounge, which was very nice. In rating the night chef, I give the chef a two. On two occasions, I had a dinner in the restaurant after 8:00pm. First time, I ordered the salmon which was overcooked, overseasoned, and somewhat dry, as well as the brussel sprouts were dry. The second time, I ordered wings and a spring salad. The salad was very fresh, however, the wings were very dry on the inside and hardly no meat on the drumette. On both occasions, I had to wait for a hostess and the night service was okay.

Expensive for value given. Bars too expensive breakfast is too expensive and they are in the middle of a remodel. I gave it 3/5 stars cause some of these down falls just seem to be how California works.

I went to a job fair. The staff was very friendly but none of them new what company I was trying to find so after some time they figured it out and litterally was about 20 steps from the checkin desk. Other than that everything was just dandy. Parking was great. Traffic was great. Very quiet part of town.

Fine hotel in a decent are for walking and seeing what the area has to offer. The air conditioning was loud though. Not just air noise, it made a fairly audible mechanical sound when kicking on. Seems minor, but when you are trying to sleep, it isn't great. I think that may have just been our room though.

The battery on my room lock died and maintenance and security were able to get me back into my room very fast. Randy and David were so great, professional and nice. I used to work in the hotel industry so I understand these things can happen. They were able to solve the problem immediately, were so caring and made sure the battery was swapped out ASAP. They clearly care so much about the people who stay here and the place they work. Thank you!

The conference room was comfortable and professional. Restrooms were spotless clean. The parking staff was incredibly polite and helpful.

Nice looking hotel with all the modern upgrades located just walking distance from the downtown area. A bit pricey, ranging well over $200 a night but at least parking is free. Breakfast is not included with the price either.

Great service, but hotel rooms are dated. The good news is that they're renovating now. Restaurant and bar were pretty good. Shower was mediocre at best. Anyways, the hotel is in a good location and is a decent place to stay overall.

Pretty decent place. Clean, I use a black light to check things out. Quick check in and checkout. Plenty of onsite covered parking as well. Not a bad place to stay!

The hotel is spanking clean and the rooms are clean too. The bathrooms at Marriott is always nice. The hotel is nicely located in Downtown Riverside and close to Mission Inn where you have loads of places to eat. Staff is courteous and friendly.

Entering the lobby was a gift to the olfactory and visual senses. Beautiful light fixtures, general decor, and holiday decorations but also what a pleasant scent in the air! Bravo to the management. The front desk staff were full of smiles and quite helpful. The elevators are easily accessible and smooth in operation. The carpets are beautiful along the hallways as they were in our room. The room had excellent black out curtains and we slept very well. Bathrooms were nicely appointed with soft towels and a nice variety of bath products. Will definitely stay again.

I usually love Marriott hotels. This one was the first exception. Check-in was easy with great service but after that it was all downhill. Parked the car in the garage and walked through the hallway past the executive offices smelling very strong tobacco smoke. Not a great impression on the way into the Lobby from the parking garage. Up the elevator to the 5th floor, got off the elevator and smelled a very musty old smell in the hallway. The Room itself was fine / comfortable. We were starving and tired after driving all day to get to Riverside and we really wanted to relax, unwind and love the place. Went down to the C3 Restaurant off the Lobby area and waited several uncomfortable minutes to be greeted (all the while wondering if the Restaurant was really open at 6:30 pm). A hotel security type person noticed us standing there actually came over to bring us into the Restaurant and seat us. The waiter had a total of 3 tables with 1-2 people at each during the time we were in there but could not seem to give us decent service. Brought the wimpy side salad with the entree instead of prior to the entree. Had to be asked 3 times for the coffee we ordered at the same time we ordered our meals. Kept saying he would bring bread but didn’t bring it until we were 3/4 of the way into eating our meals. And with some god-awful sour tasting spread we couldn’t identify. The Butternut Squash Ravioli dish was lack-luster with a terribly unexpected and unappetizing color.

Beautiful. Comfortable… the best atmosphere and attention.

The room was very clean and internet and parking was comped. There was no fridge or microwave. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was not a free breakfast. Overall, it was nice and the staff was very nice. I was more surprised that there was no fridge or microwave.

I was trying to locate some coffee after the coffee in our conference room had been removed. I asked a manager if he could point me in the direction of some coffee. After he discovered that the coffee had been removed from our conference room, he personally took it upon himself to pour a cup from behind the bar and provide it free of charge. He didn't need to do that as I would have gladly paid for it. Instead he rolled out the red carpet for me, which I absolutely appreciate.

The hotel is very vibrant and the staff is very helpful. I was totally lost, as I have never been to the hotel, and the staff gleefully directed me to my location. Overall, great experience!

I walked in to get ice for my grapes, and the manager was very accommodating! He saw the shirt I was wearing and we talked about that, before letting me take a bag to fill up on ice. The bathroom was also wonderful.

Location location location! Located just Steps From The Heart of downtown Riverside this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting the city. Close to restaurants and bars in the historic Mission Inn. This is my go-to overnight Crash Pad when I'm in town. Always clean, staff is great, unbeatable.

My brother and I had to atted a funeral and burial at the National Cemetery in Riverside and we stayed at the Marriott. The staff was the most friendly and accommodating I have every experienced. I was impressed with every staff member we encountered, they all went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. I will be back and I recommend this hotel to everyone as they really earned this 5 star rating.

This is a nice place for the most part. I just feel like it fell short of my expectations. Or I could say I was expecting more from the Marriott name. The accommodations were good, nothing to write home about. I belong to another chain's guest program, and feel as though I get treated well and way better than what was offered here for the prices. Most lower floor rooms have no refridgerators but have microwaves. The upper floors have no microwaves but have refridgerators. So be choosy depending on what you want. The views from both sides of the hotel were good, but it is quieter on the east side or to the side that faces the convention center. The front desk personnel were nice and accommodating. And the overall customer service from personnel was really good. But they only had one bell hop for 2 days straight, while there were hundreds of us coming in for a convention. So if this happens to you, expect at least 1/2 hour to 1 hour wait for baggage service to your room. And they do not have any carts for use other than the bell hop. The restaurant is overpriced for the food being served. The nachos ordered one of the first night we were there were pretty stale. No apologies. It is edible, but for a short walk or drive you can find lots of other places to eat for much better and fresher fare and prices. Same for the bar. The good part of the 5 day stay was, the beds were comfortable and room temps perfect for the hot days we had.

The service was very good considering the hotel was booked up for a conference. They have plenty of parking on site in a parking structure. The bar and restaurant are decorated with pleasing modern natural patterns. The rooms are comfortable, but they lose a star for having really ugly brown and yellow decor.

I helped coordinate a wedding reception here today. The staff, including TammynTellez and Maurice were over the top fantastic! Everything ran so smoothly and was set up beautifully! All of the servers were polite and friendly. What an amazing experience!

Staff was very friendly. Location is right in the heart of downtown and you could walk to any attraction or restaurants. Rooms were clean and was extremely quiet. Loved it.

The room was comfortable but unfortunately I was next to the ice machine located on the 3rd floor that ran all night and the view was of the roof that I late found had a lighting fixture aimed right at my window. The service was perfect… always with a smile. Check in and check out was expedient. The room was clean. The location was perfect since I was there for a conference at the convention center right across the way. I will say that I am satisfied with my stay.

I have stayed here 4 times and each time I question why I come back. Rooms are dated, and the hotel is by far the noisiest ever! Make sure you don't get a room next to the elevators or you'll hear them going up and down all night, but that doesn't matter when every time someone opens a door everything in your room rattles (this has happened every time I have been there). Hotel pimps out elite privileges to paying guests making my loyalty worth bugger all. My biggest gripe however is the front desk staff questioning the rate I am getting, with one saying "do we really have to honor that? " YES YOU DO! I have that rate because my company spends a shit load of dinero with you.
Don't waste your time with these jokers, the courtyard down the road is nicer and cheaper, plus you won't hear everyone walking down the hall.

Very nice hotel and it's located perfectly from alot of the downtown action. A great choice of restaurants and bars are all within walking distance.

I am rating this hotel at 2 stars and that is being generous. The room was fine; bed, space, bathroom, shower, water pressure, etc. Was fine. Hospitality at the hotel was really poor. They were unable to swipe a corporate credit card at my arrival. The staff made quite an ordeal out of getting authorization for my "company" credit card (master card). As a result I called the customer service line for the card and had them expedite a new one to be shipped. Soon after I found that there was in fact nothing wrong with my card. When the package arrived; another ordeal ensued with retrieving the envelope from the mail room. Now for the coffee situation… My job duties on this trip required an early start time. Nothing unreasonable, but fairly early. The hotel offers no complimentary coffee, but offer "Starbucks" coffee for purchase. Fine… they seem to start brewing it whenever they damn well please; which does not happen before 6 am. Fortunately, there is an actual Starbucks across the street. The entire front face of the hotel building is lit with green spot lights. If you happen to get a room on this side of the hotel, be prepared for all of that lovely green light to pour in through your window at night. I dunno, if you are in town for a conference, it may be worth it to stay here as it is right next to the convention center. Avoid if you are in town to support anything at the March Air Reserve Base.

This is just a rating for the C3 BAR and the APPETIZERS. I can't judge the actual restaurant or the hotel because I didn't go. I went on a weekday in the afternoon and it was dead quiet. I thought it was closed because no one was there, but then the bartender appeared. She was super casual, and wasn't sure about a few things because, as she admitted, she didn't usually work behind the bar — she was a floater for anything in the hotel. So I'm not judging the service too much because I feel like that wouldn't be fair to her. She was really friendly and got into conversations, but a couple times it was awkward when I wanted another drink or some food, but she was busy having a conversation with the one other guest there. I ordered the wings, which were really good, but the 8 teeny tiny wings should not have been $10. They came with carrots, which were good, and celery, which had a few pieces that looked more white than green (and were flavorless because of that). I also got the nachos, which were HUGE. Much better use of money than the wings. However, I've definitely had better nachos at places like Yard House. They way they layered the topics made it hard to get a variety of things on your chip. For example, the whole top layer of chips didn't have any cheese on it — the cheese was underneath that layer. And then, all the way at the bottom of the plate were refried beans, which I didn't even see until I was almost done with all the chips.

Pros: housekeeping is amazing. Great service, clean room, elevators even smelled good. Restaurant and bar. Stations to work on your laptop. Good wireless (much better than at the Convention Center). Cons: small gym that doesn't have cable weights. Hot tub had an unpleasant odor. No continental breakfast. Parking situation is odd. You need your key card to exit the garage, which also serves as the way to charge your room. However, what do you do after you check out in the morning but have to stay till 1pm fur the conference!? Conference attendees had to move their car to the street, hoping there was parking, and then check out. That needs to be fixed. Not having a fridge in the guest room was annoying.

Great location if you're going to the conference center. Located next to a lot of restaurants. Lobby is definitely nicer than the rooms though. Gym is small and ok if you're doing cardio but not many weights or cables. Hot tub is outside… entrance is to the left of the restaurant.

Staff go above and beyond to accommodate. Rooms are very nice, with some amazing views of the mountains. Food is amazing but super pricey. We ate @ Woodfire pizza and Subway a few blocks away. Conference rooms and lobby are very large, with a Piano in the corner. Fitness center has dumbell weights, a bench, mats and free headphones. Definitely one of the better ones. Conveniently right across from the convention center! Warning, internet is not free and very pricey.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over several years. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. This is my go-to when traveling to Riverside.

The place was very clean, it was in a nice area, and the service was great. The employees as well as guest were very friendly, helpful, and polite.

Had a quick stay for a convention this week but the Marriott was nice enough to get me in my room about 8 hours early and allowed me to stay aa past checkout so I could finish some contracts. Really appreciate them working with me on this.

The room was comfortable but the noise levels of the air conditioner, hallway noise, and the bosses from other rooms were a bit loud.

As a Marriott Platinum elite I had higher expectations for this location but alas staying here during the holiday season things were missed, but overall staff was hospitable. Areas of Improvement: -Concierge lounge was closed. -Original room they gave us had hair strands in the tub and bed. -2nd room they gave us had 2 strands of hair. Good Things: -Friendly staff -Walking distance to the Festival of Lights.

We had some very bad communication problems with the events planner N. C. This resulted in some financial loss for my company and some legal problems. The situation ended with this woman calling and harassing a person on my staff on his personal cell phone while he was on his vacation in Canada.

I stay here at least once each month when visiting the area and have done so for quite some time. Rooms: Always clean, the decoration is simple and tasteful, but does not feel like it's cutting edge. There are a few different room types available, and they are all consistenlty well kept. The bathroom does not have a fan so a shower fogs the mirror. Windows only open a little so if you don't like air conditioning on a hot day it's going to be hot. Halls: Clean. Lobby and Common Areas: Clean, well organized. The bar is worth the stop, their team does a good job. Pool: This is really nice on a hot day. The path to it is through the restaurant area, so that feels starnge — but it's worth it. Bring your room key or you won't get in. Towels are provided at the poolside. Staff: Consistently courteous, kind, and keen to take care of my needs. Whenever I have any issue, big or small, they are cared for. Locale: It's in the heart of downtown Riverside. Right next to the convention center and in walking distance to all of downtown. You can catch a farmers market, visit the Mission Inn, go to several diners and pubs, and enjoy the atmosphere of a town on the edge of being hip (shh, that makes it nice and quaint instead of packed). Overall: It's my goto for a reason. Everything is solid. The decor is starting to feel a little dated, but if that's my complaint. Things are good.

My partner has been staying here consistently every other month for the last couple years so he can visit. Two months ago, we requested a nicer suite with the hot tub and didn't get it. He provided this as feedback online and the manager called him and promised him he would get the upgrade next time. We booked again and a couple weeks later, we were put in the same room. We didn't bother complaining. The bed is comfortable and the suite has a nice view of the hills. My only peeve is their soap and shampoo. The packaging and products seems pretty cheap compared to other Marriott I've stayed in.

I would like to give accolades to the Riverside Marriott Resturant. We took our mother there for Mother's Day breakfast/Buffet. The service we received far exceeded our expectations. Our server MAYRA VIDAL was amazing. The omelette maker was so kind and caring. Plus, the omelette's melted in our mouths. Everyone wanted to make certain we had what we needed and was everything alright? Assure us there was more food at the buffet and could they get us something we didn't see that we wanted. OMG…Awesome! When you're treated like Royalty and the food is beyond tasty, delicious its worth returning to the Riverside Marriott. Our mother was compeltely satisfied with everything. It was her day; it was important for everything to be perfect.

Really disappointing for many who know the name "Marriott". The hotel's appearance is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. However. 1. No free breakfast is supplied, and for the price a free breakfast should be supplied. 2. Internet is not free 3. Not all rooms have a refrigerator, lower floors do not at all, no microwaves in rooms either. If you like to eat healthy or bring your own, you are out of luck. Get ice in the hallway and cool your drink in your ice bucket. 4. Pay to park. Another price gouge. The parking structure is very limited, average car sizes are too big for a lot of 5. Ceilings are low, if you are tall, this will make you uncomfortable. There are few places to eat within really close radius, walking around downtown Riverside at night isn't suggested unless you are in a group. The big win is the bed comfort, I love the beds at this hotel. Other than that. It's 60% inconvenient to the general traveler.
