Terrible service, THE ROOMS DO NOT CLEAN them after 3 days of stay, there are no clean towels, shampoo, soap, when you request them to be cleaned, they mention in reception that this is the policy of the hotel, first time I am in a hotel where they DO NOT CLEAN the rooms. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM for any reason, I am sorry to have stayed at this Hotel.

I initially had an issue with cancelling a reservation at the last minute because I wasn't feeling well. I was originally told I would not be allowed o stay, nor would I be offered a refund. HOWEVER, they had a change of heart and accommodated my cancellation with no fee assessed to me. It's this kind of excellent customer service that will keep us coming back. Thank you, Hyatt.

Not clean compared to the traditional Hyatt Place standards: sticky area on desk, dirty phone, comfortable sofa, and one of the four glasses hadn’t been clean in about a year. Also, no paper and pen. We have a reservation to stop here on their way back home, but I think I may change that. (Update: Changed to Hyatt Palm Springs on the way home. ) Parking is $14 a night, but we are comped since we used points. No water was offered at the desk but I went back downstairs and got it myself. Also, no acknowledgement of being a globalist.

Thanks for making it easy for me to stick to my whole foods plant based diet by offering hot breakfast food I can eat! Oatmeal, fruit and colorful potatoes with salsa.

Very nice room; perfect for long stays. Continental breakfasts were great and staff was very helpful and friendly. There was construction across the street, but nothing can be done about that.

We stayed in the Suite, and it is very spacious. The staff was very nice and accommodating, especially since there was an issue of the room not being ready at check-in due to a late check out of prior occupant. The complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus for our family. Only thing I would suggest is if you have young kids to ask in advance if there is a room that is not street side — lots of motorcycles and modified cars drive around there, as late as 3am! Perhaps the hotel could get better sound proof windows for the street side rooms.

This place is great! It's a small hotel but our room was very spacey and very cozy. The front desk staff is very welcoming and warm. Complimentary breakfast is awesome! But at 10 o clock the kitchen staff was quick to shut down everything, I felt bad because I saw a guest going up to the buffet and saw a gal remove the food before the guest could arrive. I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, clean as well as a friendly staff. The parking is limited, but the hotel itself will take your mind off the parking.

Really nice hotel! Rooms were very large with a full living room with a couch, desk and fridge. Room is large enough for a baby crib without crowding the space. The hot breakfast was great and a large selection! Would recommend.

The staff is five star… professional and civil. Facility is clean and tidy. Unfortunately directly across Market Street is a construction site. Currently grading lot. Starting at daybreak. Lots of noise and dust. Rooms facing Market St. Hear and see the work. How many months will it take to build this new hotel? Hyatt does disclose… at the check-in desk and the room, when it's too late. No where on the site when arranging reservations is this disclosed. Rates for Market St. Facing rooms should be deeply discounted. Parking is on flat lot — no shade. City of Riverside requires parking fee so cannot be waived. Reserve rooms in back of building and don't wash your car until you leave.

Very nice hotel with large, clean rooms and clean toilets, showers and sinks. Even the pool was in good condition and also clean. At breakfast there was a small selection, but in good quality and delicious. That's why I can only recommend this hotel to others.

On the more expensive end of any place you'll find in Downtown Riverside. Worth the money as it offers good views of downtown if you get room w view. Room had nice bathroom and TV couch area for hanging out/unwinding from busy schedule. Front desk was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Location is nice, right behind Gram's BBQ, in the action! Rooms are super spacious, like whoa, and the staff are really sweet. There's no jacuzzi but the pool is heated so we went in, it was awesome! Now there's something I should mention, anything I needed from room service, towels, cream and sugar, toilet paper etc. Took so long I had to go downstairs and fetch them myself. Uh, just a side note, I love walking around hotels so I didn't mind, hence the 5 stars, but other people aren't like me sooo… yea.

The Hyatt Place Downtown Riverside has the absolute best Assistant General Manager in Vincent Romo! We had an issue with our recent stay, and Vincent went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I could not recommend this hotel higher! It was very clean and comfortable and with people like Vincent running it, we will always stay there when we are in the Riverside area!

My name is Heidi Pascal, my confirmation number is 61579536. To begin, The check in was not good at all. When I called the hotel to inquire about the room, I was told it was ready. Then when I went to check in, I was told that my room was Not ready. Then to add insult to my irritation, Marlene, miss attitude asked me if I was sure that I called their hotel. Really, wow. Such quality staff they do not have. In addition to the negative check in experience, the computer system of the hotel charged my card 3 times, instead of only once. Brian, was helpful but he didn't resolve my issue or help me figure out why the system of only THIS hotel charged my card 3 times instead of once. Excuse and excuse followed by inane questions and long hold times to speak to a manager. Eric, totally useless, full of excuses why this hotel computer charged my card. Keep me on hold forever, why don't you so you can look into nothing that helped me! Vincent, don't you know it's rude to put a customer on speaker, it's adding distance to the way someone feels especially after you have fraudently charged someone's card. My card was charged again on Monday the 29th. I checked out on the 28th. This is illegal my card was fraudulently charged. The questions that Vincent, had were inane and ridiculous. Really, I was charged for 2 nights then you ask me if I Made changes to the reservation, let's not even mention your heavy accent and inability to pronounce certain.

I have worked in Hospitality for over 8 years of my life. I have worked the front desk, valet, PBX, bartender, and concierge. So, I like to think I have an above average understanding of a well-run versus a poorly-run hotel property. I would say without a doubt, that the Hyatt Place Riverside downtown is one of the poorest run properties I have ever visited in my 32 years of life. Please let me elaborate, my business partners are Hispanic and we did some shopping and secured a very good room rate, at a price below market value at a time when the hotel happened to be 100% occupied. When it came time for us to pay for our second night, the front desk refused to take our MasterCard for payment. The lady at the front desk said that they do not take MasterCard as a form of payment. Let me tell you, if you have an opportunity to book elsewhere while in Riverside, it may be a wise decision to do so. Moments like these remind me how blessed I am to no longer have to work in the hospitality industry with tyrannical management! Please do yourself a favor and when you see the Hyatt Place Riverside downtown. Run, run very fast and in the opposite direction! Unless you prefer rude, rakish and racist bereavement from the front desk staff, in particular Cat, the lady with ugly tattoo on her neck! The rest of the staff was suburb! Best regards, Patrick.

I wish I could say that I had a pleasant experience at the Hyatt Place, Riverside downtown, but unfortunately, I cannot! My group and I extended our original one-day reservation for the second night at a fantastic rate of $112 with taxes and fees. We were told we could pay when we returned. Upon returning, the hotel refused to take our payment. We then find the hotel has been overbooked. My pregnant wife, my 3-year-old son, my business partner and I are then told we will have to pay with a different credit card or leave. I quickly leave to go move some funds around to a credit card they deemed acceptable. When I return, literally 15 minutes later, the police had already been called to escort us off of the property. This is after I have moved money to another account, one they deeded acceptable and they removed $100 from the account. Then when I have returned they refuse to allow us to pay the balance of $12 on an acceptable credit card. They keep my $100 and have the police escort us away. I always stay at 4 or 5 star hotels. The staff here has no compassion and only treated us so poorly because they overbooked the hotel. Stay away!

Went to see the Festival of Lights they had a spark in a structure up the street for cars were broken into and then they tried to tell one of the people that they didn't cover I had to explain to the individual that if they had you park your car there they are responsible for it. The Festival of Lights is excellent the hotel needs to have better security when they have clients that are staying park your car somewhere other than the hotel parking lot. My girl's Porsche brand new had the license plate taken off bumper scratched up from them taking the plates off senseless crime the other cars windows were broken out so I guess we should consider ourselves lucky 4 cars all in one night and nobody heard or saw anything.

I stopped by the Hyatt for a quick business meeting with one of there guests and sat in the cafe area. The atmosphere was really quiet and relaxed when right outside is a busy downtown. Nice place to meet.

The rooms arw very nice. Large so you aren't cramped at all. Separate sitting are from bed.

They now charge for parking overnight $12.00 Not a good think. Thats just ridiculous! They took away Hot Cocoa pkgs from the breakfast area and want to now charge for that. Just stupid.
There used to be better breakfasts, they're not as good as it could be. Nice place, but it's a shame they're skimping & cutting costs & more gouging prices now & receiving less in return.

Great location. Lots of options for food that are in walkable distance. The Festival of Lights was right there, which was a pleasant surprise. Hotel was clean and had amazing service. They were very helpful and welcoming. The valet people will work in your best interest, super friendly, and very thoughtful.

This a very nice hotel. Very conveniently located. Easy to reach from all freeways. They charge for parking, but $8 ain't bad. Clean rooms, friendly staff, all that you'd expect from a Hyatt property.

Easy to find, very close to downtown. It's right next to a convention center. Outdoor pool, but it's in the middle of the hotel so I don't think it gets that much sun. Event rooms are nicely sized. The food was great. Wide range of options that were nicely prepared. We were given "heavy appetizers" and it was more than enough for dinner. They even came by at the end and handed out to-go boxes so that none of the food was wasted which I really appreciated.

Nice hotel, good beds and friendly service. Breakfast could be better, its mostly preprepared frozen items, but there are a few options. The location is great.

The stay at Hyatt was wonderful, the staff provided the amenities we desired in a timely manner and were incredibly friendly and helpful. If we needed extra keys or a simple bottle opener they promptly provided us with one and made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms themselves were very spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a family suite that had two queen beds and a third queen sofa pullout. Should I ever find myself in Riverside again I would stay again.

Staff gets 5 stars… it's the overall cleanliness that needs improvement especially the breakfast plates, cups, flatware, table tops. Co worker had a roach in her shower. Rear entrance doors either need to be replaced or repaired.

The Serviceis excellent, staff very friendly and constantly cleaning, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The price is very competitive but better. Plenty of parking and accessible. I'll would definitely go back.

Called made a reservation with Sarah at the front desk at 9:20pm. Asked if I held with credit card can I pay with cash upon arrival! She stated YES! Hour later we arrive! To be told they will make no exception … Basically nothing could be done. Feeling humiliated in a lobby with several other guest! With my daughters and friend. I called the 800 number and asked what Could be done! She said they have a strict policy! We explained we could've brought a card! But didn't want to be in this area and in court with our credit cards. And had that been expressed! We would've brought them! I then said show me on this confirmation that you said we must bring a credit card! He could not produce IT! Then he conviently said I will Make an exception! Are you serious after being humiliated, calling the 800 number and showing you the very confirmation we brought in! Are you serious! We understand everyone has policies… but don't say one thing and Inconvient your clients. And embarrass them! Do your damn job and find out who said it and deal with them! Other than that the hotel is cute! But this incident has ended our relationship with the HYATT! Nationwide!

This hotel is Beautiful from the lobby to the rooms. Makes me feel almost at home! The staff is polite, and very helpful, breakfast in the morning ud above average as far as hotel breakfast Mk.

Worst service ever. Sat in the lobby of the hotel with 15 other people because the rooms werent ready by three like we were told. When we asked what they could do after sitting around for an hour the manager said to us "you can cancel your reservation". Do no stay here.

I stayed here two nights for a conference. The hotel and the room were great. My only complaint is that parking for disabled people is so far away in the parking structure, because too many spaces in front of the hotel were always taken by hotel vehicles. Because of the disabled parking issue I'm not sure I'd stay here again. I'll be traveling to Riverside in August but we may stay somewhere else. And the hotel charged me for disabled parking, which meant another long walk back to the front desk to have the parking fee removed from my bill. Please create more disabled parking spaces in front of the hotel. Let the hotel vehicles park in the garage! Thanks.

The room was very nice and they had great customer service. My only complaint is the quality of the breakfast available in the mornings.

Fantastic rooms, spacious, clean, solid Wi-Fi. The higher floors are better, I was surprised by the traffic on Mission. Truly amazing staff, having stayed at more expensive hotels, they surpassed expectations even time. Central location is an added bonus!

Seems like a great proximity to downtown riverside right next to Main St. Room was good except for some stains on the carpet. Breakfast was ok but there was no water and when I asked the staff for some she disappeared and didn't bring me water.

I have always stayed at Hyatt hotels and never had an issue. They have great customer service and maid service also. Always has the best prices/ rooms in my opinion. This is definitely a 5 star hotel!

Nice hotel, very clean, great service, very friendly staff, good number of car spaces for guests (free), good colazioneca buffet (unfortunately varies slightly).

Pros: nice building and room layout, room furniture is well thought out and comfortable, very friendly staff and free breakfast. Cons: looks small compared to large hotel building next door, non-covered and dimly lit parking lot next to alley (was nervous about the security of my car). Overall it is a very nice hotel that is making the best out of location and building situation, but almost half the price of competitor next door.

The place was very nice. Rooms and hallways were clean. There was some noise late at night and the breakfast selection was poor. All things considered though, it was pretty good.
