Review of DoubleTree 4*

I had a terrible experience at the DoubleTree Hotel. I normally do not leave negative reviews regardless of my experience at an establishment, but this was unforgivable. This entire review is about the male employee that was working behind the front desk in the lobby on 6/26 at around 3:30 PM. I had called in advance to book a room for my friend and I because we were attending the wedding that was being held at the hotel. When we went to check in the day we were scheduled to book in, (6/26/15) the young man (with a very unprofessional haircut) at the front desk was everything and anything but helpful. He initially told us that we had not booked in advance, then he told us that we had not booked under the wedding party rates, then gave us an off the wall price for the hotel room. He even told us that the military discount was not available to us! (My friend that booked with me is currently serving active duty in the military) None of this interaction with this specific employee was something we expected to have to deal with, especially after driving multiple hours to finally arrive at the destination. The worst part had yet to come! After ALL this, the employee decided to change our room to a room as far away as possible! He had originally gave a room right next to the lobby, and also right next to the rest of the wedding party. But because we were such an "inconvenience" to this employee, he changed our room at the last second to the farthest possible room from the lobby, and the rest of the wedding party. It was literally about a 7 minute walk to the other side of the hotel. Not only were we far away from the rest of the wedding party, but he also gave us a room with no balcony, which we specifically asked for. I could not believe how this guy treated us.
