But at the restaurant an waitress did get the wrong order. Because she didn’t ask half dozen or one dozen for the oyster and brought one dozen And too interrupting to the table even though we didn’t finished food.

That margarita pitcher and fried chicken bucket! Great Sunset.

Very rude racist bartenders and security. I saw a woman of color (Asian American) being discriminated against when she tried to order a drink. She was sober, waited and was polite till the bartender insulted her and ignored her drink order! When she asked why security removed her embarrassing her in front of her friends and bar patrons. I will never go to your bar again and will be letting everyone I know, on Facebook, twitter, Yelp, next door, Instagram and word of mouth! You should be ashamed of your staff and management. This establishment has a history if you look through the reviews on yelp of discrimination!

Overtly Racist Servers were rude and discriminated against Asians and Asian-Americans. Pure ignorance and douchebagery. Never going back. Needs training. Needs to apologize to Asian Americans and fire the racists!
Apparently there is a history of racist behavior here, as well as IP theft in the artwork of others. Shameful!

I had such a Beautiful Time Everybody was so friendly, the staff the drinks, Bartenders were really Awesome the food was delicious. I will be Telling my friends about this place. Iam. On Vacation but I will be back.

Haven’t stayed here for some time and the hotel and restaurant have got busier and bigger. However, the service, food and facilities are as good as ever. The restaurant Fig is very popular and it deserves to be — the food at dinner was excellent and the breakfast as good as I remember. The valet service is great too as although busy it is everyone works hard to make it run as smooth as possible.

Great hotel a little pricey but that’s why it’s a Fairmont. Had a good experience here the staff are always attentive and make your stay wonderful. I got the Malibu view room with balcony. Was awesome to be able to sit outside and have coffee each morning. On weekends they have a beach service where they will drive you down to the beach and get you set up and also get you food. Was exceptional service down at the beach the boys down their worked very very hard and should be commended! The pool was busier on weekends but we didn’t seem to have a problem finding chairs. We did go out in the morning already though. The free coffee in the lobby is a great touch for guests. Nice to be able to take up to your room and have it on the balcony. We ate breakfast once at the restaurant it was good, but we just went to Whole Foods and got our own as you can get a mini fridge for your room. The food by the pool is really good their burger wow so good!

Always exceptional service and a relaxing atmosphere that is hard to find at other hotels. The pool and inner garden area make a private setting where you can relax. Rooms are nice and spacious in the old wing. Fig restaurant serves up memorable dinners and great breakfast or brunch. The fitness area is well equipped and in a great space with views over the pool.

Hotel is nice and a great location. Staff is really nice. So why the rating of 3 star? The service in the bar area minus the bartender is horrible. These two individuals do not have any idea of service. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne and the server grab another tables ice bucket which had water in it and actually put our nice bottle in it and walked away. Before that it took nearly 20 min to acknowledge our existence. Other guest around us were all getting up to track the two servers down. I would think the hotel would not want their guest to have such a poor experience specially at $1000 plus a night room cost. May not return to this hotel just because of this experience. Well we are back two weeks later, short story NEVER coming back. Bartender's, bellmen, parking staff and maids are great, top notch guys… we have traveled around the world and I'm shocked how terrible the service is from the front desk-pool. Who runs this ship, fire them! Great location and just because of that and the Bungalow is not a reason to SUCK up front. NEVER COMING BACK, this hotel is no Malibu Inn…

Of course a great hotel. Very attentive staff. The rooms are quite spacious. You have to take the high floors to enjoy the view. Breakfast à la carte so you can choose what you like. Ideally located to access the beach by the ramp and deck (be careful it's not feet in the water) here also you have to cross the freeway on foot or by bike on the deck but the beach is worth it. The small poolside restaurant is excellent. Rates are high for rooms but luxury is always expensive. A beautiful tree at the entrance to the hotel.

The vibe of the bungalow is very good. Lots of people from all over the world stop in to have a drink before heading out into the city’s night life. If you want to meet people this is an excellent location. If you want to try a good selection of cocktails and wines this is also the place for you. The lobby lounge has little finger foods that they offer as well. I would recommend the ceviche!

Absolutely beautiful venue and evening with friends. Drinks were good, food was good. The only thing I would of changed about the experience is mostly everyone working there seemed pretty miserable, going through the motives, unhappy. Which is never fun for anyone.

Great location, some rooms are fairly dated and small. Bungalow club next door although 'affiliated' doesn't give priority access to hotel guests. Bikes they offer are great, and beach access is awesome. Good group of guys that drive you and help you out at the beach.

Great location near the water and 3rd Street promenade. Hotel lobby is well appointed and has a nice restaurant for small bites. Fig restaurant is good as well, with a nice outdoor area overlooking the pool. The bungalow bar used to be a scene but is now mixed bag and not that great in my opinion, but fine for a daytime drink.

Bad reviews! Bad reviews! Bad reviews! One of the most slaughtered hotels in the Los Angeles area! 500 dollars a night hotel! Wait a few minutes for the guests to charge a parking fee of 20 dollars! Service staff Vicious class is not allowed you to explain! Service attitude is extremely bad! Can only say first-class location! Second-rate hotel environment! 3 flow of sanitary conditions! Non-inbound service attitude!

A spectacular stay truly your treated like a celebrity from check in to check out! The rooms are stocked with anything you could possibly want or need you’d never have to leave but who wants to stay in when you have so much to see and do just steps away! Go for a day of shopping after all Rodeo Drive is down the street, Santa Monica Pier can be seen from here, walk on the beach and enjoy everything Santa Monica has to offer!

The Fairmont is a gorgeous property just across the street from the beach. It's like walking into an enchanted garden to enter the front driveway. They have three unique room products, all very comfy. There's also a salon, barber shop, indoor-outdoor gym, and amazing views.

We’ve had an amazing stay here. We always try to stay at Fairmont’s when we travel and we are so glad we did. The Fairmont in Santa Monica is beautiful. With the window open you can hear the city and the ocean crashing onto the beaches. The staff are friendly and the restaurant downstairs is superb. The location is amazing and the bikes are free to rent. Will definitely stay here again when we are back in Santa Monica.

I can’t speak for the rooms or the staff inside. However, we are here on vacations Dan got turned around trying to find our way. We ended up on the valet parking lot of the hotel. We tried to explain that we were trying to explain that we were just trying to make a u-turn and we were met with the nastiest response from one of the attendants. Then after I told him that his attitude was disgusting he proceeded to be nasty. Then when we tried to explain to him there was a car coming towards us he told us our car was small and we need to drive. When I told him again that he was being rude he told me it was private property and he would write me a ticket. Not a good impression of the hotel.

Absolutely love this place. I’m from NYC (so this review is going to be bougie) and asked my driver for a place he recommended and this place came up. Lo’ and behold, it is everything he claimed it to be, and more. The drinks, aesthetics, decor, literally everything is great. The absolute highlight of my experience at this place, however, would be due to a single employee named Junior. His professionalism and manners were unmatched and just plain phenomenal. He addressed everyone by either “Sir” or “Ma’am” and was very quick to be of any assistance to the patrons of this establishment. Guy was just all around solid. When I come back to L. A. I will absolutely be coming back. And I will absolutely be shaking Junior’s hand again.

Let's start with the positive: the manager in the end took care of the full bill and was nice.
Recommendation: may be good for drinks and mingle, but expect mediocre service at best or no service at worst. I would choose better alternatives.
Story: My bf and I got to to the Bungalow around 7 when the place was sparely populated, but the server was quick once we got her attention. Once the order was delivered, the food and drinks came quickly. However, after taking our order, she basically disappeared and we could not order anything else. We ordered fries, tacos and burrito. The fries came out cold but the tacos and burrito were tasty and good.
The Bungalow has excellent setup and caters to the single and mingle crowd in the main noise bars or relatively calm outside fire pit. We settled outside to be able to talk and chill.
The main issue happened when we wanted to leave. As we didnt see the server and could not find her for 15-20 mins, we asked the bartender. After another 15-20 mins we spoke to the bartender again and no response.
At this point we went to the main rooms to see if anyone could help find our server and close out the bill. No one could apparently help as it wasn't their issue. The bartender near the fire pit helped by calling the manager. At this point it was over an hour since we had asked to close out the bill.

Bathroom So small Shower curtain rubs all over side of toilet. No full length mirror Not enough room for 4 suitcases even though sold as a 4 person room. Closet had shelves built in, so only allowed 1 suitcase to fit. Anyone who travels would assume each person would have a suitcase! Our duffle bags even zip in half when space is tight, but the bed wasn't even tall enough to place underneath as an option. His left us with virtually non existent walk space which is considered a safety hazard. Beds were pushed up against the walls so virtually no walk space to climb in. Dirty looking Crusty Faucet leaked water all over the counter which soaked all toiletry bags. (faucet was immediately repaired to stop leaking, but it was still crusty from hard water, and not replaced which was long overdue. No shear curtain in window so room either had to be pitch black by using the blackout curtain or blasting sun directly in your eyes. Basically room should have been changed to a king size bed with a small couch to have any chance of being more comfortable, not 2 double beds for 4 people. All rooms next to us had balconies, ours didn’t. At least make this room comfortable by not overselling and cramming so many people inside. We just left the Californian Disney hotel which was a comfortable room. I would have never dreamed a Fairmont property would have such a crummy room. Clearly the reputation of both these properties should be on different levels.

Great spot. Lots of beautiful people that want nothing to do with you. Santa Monica at it's best. Will go back for years to come. Ping-pong table is a must. Avoid if packed/like outside because there won't be any room inside. Trust me.

This hotel is a historic local Gem that has traded ownerships several times. The history stretches back to Cary Grant days, and in fact you can see a lot of his photos while he stayed here, all those years ago. I like this hotel. There is something authentic about it. Its probably my most favorite in all of Santa Monica, if not Santa Monica and Venice (Not much in Venice frankly).

The hotel has a perfect location the rooms are very spacious, I loved the jacuzzi and the dining room. The cómida this good and the service excellent.

Very Grand hotel! Everything is a 10! From customer service to the cleanliness. The hotel is only 5 blocks from Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade! I would say if you are into the grand type of hotel, this is for you. The hotel has small stores, restaurant, spa, and a haircut shop. One of the beautiful restaurants you wanna go to is Fig, it is very aesthetically pleasing. The only problem about our stay was no fridge but that's it. I would stay here again!

First night at the Fairmont on Christmas day 2017 = below average. * Booked an ocean view room: assigned a 3rd floor room with a treetop view of obstructed ocean view * Reassigned a room with Santa Monica Pier view — accommodating, thank you * 5-monthbold baby woke up crying in the new room — room's thermostat was not working and no heat being vented even with temperature set at 80F — actual room temperature based on the portable heater the super friendly engineer brought was 68F. Disappointing that a basic room functionality did work properly at a 5 star hotel.

I am a business traveller and in 2017 I stayed at The Fairmont in Dallas, San Jose and Santa Monica. I believe this is my fourth visit to The Fairmont Miramar where my company holds our year end regional meetings. I spend most of my life on the road staying in many hotels. It is always a treat to visit Santa Monica. With the Pacific Ocean and SM pier across the street to the wonderful restaurants and shopping near by, this is always one of my top places to stay. It shows when a hotel works hard to earn your business and in my opinion, The Fairmont Miramar delivers a truly exceptional experience every visit. Also, my wife and I are big fans of Le Labo products that we first discovered here at The Fairmont. •Deluxe Travel Machine •

Awesome and classy place. Beautiful hotel and entrance. Lovely staff. Bungalows are great if you like loud music, pretty girls and a mingling feel.

The location is ideal, beachfront, park to walk very safe. As for the quality of the service is excellent, staff very helpful and attentive. The quality of the rooms is good though it could improve. In general I would give it 4.5 stars. Best of all is the service, if you are going to have a few drinks, ask for a strawberry daikiri, delicious.

Thank you to Kirk and his concierge team for helping my fiancé and I off to the ER the morning after our good friend's wedding. They shipped my rental tuxedo back for me and transferred all of our baggage to another hotel we were staying at for the next few nights. This was all organized and taken care of while waiting in the stressful confines of the ER. In addition, the service throughout our stay and at the wedding was impeccable. Thank you again, and we will be back.

The service is perfect. We had arrived early for our reservation. Raymond looked after us and upgraded our room. He directed us to the lounge and arranged to take care of our check while we waited for our room.

Awesome place to day drink. Really chill spot with a bunch of cool people. Drinks were a little pricey but it's California. The beach views are amazing and I was relaxed and was meeting people left and right. Spent hours here and didn't get bored at all. The music was cool and there was seating both inside and out. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Probably the best time drinking I had. 5 stars hands down. Will be returning in November and can't wait to go back to Bungalows!

Pricy hotel but worth the cost. Exceptional service and food, you can enjoy Fig restaurant's food delivered right on the beach! This is not like a typical American hotel. Bungalows recommended. I stayed in Palisades wing Suite and a Premium bungalow but I would recommend the latter. A bit smaller than a suite but nice atmosphere and superb decor.

Ive only gone to the Bungalow twice, but both times it was a really fun experience. It's a beautiful bar with a lovely outdoor patio area. Fun stuff to do like pool and ping pong and areas for quiet (ish) conversation.

Nice overall hotel. Great staff and location. Rooms could use a bit of updating, but not bad. Main level, lobby, pool and Fig restaurant are quite nice. Would stay again.

Ambiance was really nice, definitely more of a casual place. Drinks are good but a little pricey. Definitely can be crowded outside. No line if you go around 10, but definitely a long line around midnight. Bathroom was surprisingly clean, even the co-ed one!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last ten years. Beautiful location, grounds, nice restaurant… then they realized they could make money playing loud music at the bungalows out front. First it was weekends, so I avoided Friday and Saturday nights, then it was Thursday. I stopped coming, but had a bunch of extra miles, so turned them in for a $500/night room to stay Thursday and Sunday. Here it is Tuesday night at 11 pm, I'm on the 7th floor, the music is loud enough to vibrate things in my room, I called down to ask how long it would play, and was told it would go until 1:30 pm. Never again. Shame when a hotel forgets what their in the business to do.

The Bungalow was beautiful. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. The waitress came around just as often as we wanted more drinks. I highly recommend this place to both tourists and locals.

I visited the Bungalow and got there right at noon when they open. It was a fantastic bar. They have ping pong, pool, and a fire pit. There were also a few bars so drinks were never far away. The place feels like you are hanging out at a house. I hear it gets really busy at night but enjoyed my day visit.

Definitely a great place for under 35s. I love the concept of the different rooms, but I'm too friggin old to appreciate it.

Awesome; we experienced a mix up between the Fairmont booking Agent and this Hotel here in Santa Monica and this included our own misunderstanding of the same but true to form, the Fairmont team on property, especially Allyson Humphrey's and Adrianne were fantastic. We were treated very well and this is of need of specific mention before stating how fantastic this property is in design, location and function. The Valet team is even great and courteous. The restaurant on site is very good, the fitness facility with the outdoor option is perfect. Danielle at the Concierge very helpful and pleasant. Great place to be for a few days and if you can spoil yourself with a bungalow go for it, otherwise prefer the Tower over the low rise older building. Enjoy!

Badass place. With the right crowd, you can show up without your wallet and have a good time. I highly recommend it to anyone trying to go out and meet friendly people. Just dont get too messed up!

We had a great stay at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica. The hotel is definitely unique! Loved our room (although a tad small) and the quirky decor! The wine hour is always fabulous. Loved the central location and the staff were very friendly and helpfuL! Will stay here again!

My wife and I just had our wedding here, at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows. We can describe our experience in one word: AMAZING. From start to finish, Fairmont and The Miramar Hotel and Bungalows was a premier location for our "Californian Wedding". We started our wedding planning journey in February 2013 for our September 6, 2013 wedding. Fresh in our mind from last week, this is our review of our Friday afternoon wedding. We held our ceremony in the entry drive under the historic fig and reception in the Wedgewood Ballroom. The hotel offers packages with typical wedding offerings and allows you to make some adjustments to suit your needs. The Ceremony — Chairs are set on the drive with the ceremony facing the tree. We set our quartet under the tree and had guests blow bubbles as we walked out. The Cocktail Hour — Post ceremony our guests were offered hors d'oeuvres and cocktails under the tree while we took photographs at the beach. The Reception — Our 120 guests entered the Wedgewood Ballroom for dinner and dancing. All dining staff are dressed impeccably and were focused on our guests throughout dinner service. Starter — Wild Mushroom Ravioli Salad — Arugula and Endive with Pecans and Apple Entree Choice — Filet Mignon or Sea Bass with Quinoa Cake — Included in our contract was cake from Vanilla Bakery on Wilshire We knew during the planning period, The Culinary experience from Ray Garcia's on site Fig Restaurant was of top quality.

Stayed here twice the past year so I figured I finally post an update on my recent experience. The rooms have always been clean. The attentive staff and fast check-in. You can't beat the view from my Balcony. The huge Lobby with a nice vibe. Food and are always on point. I discovered this Five Star Getaway when I missed my flight out about a year ago. :D.

We visited their bar/lounge Bungalow. Always a cool, relaxed vibe. Drinks can be on the pricier side but made well. It's really about the atmosphere here though,. Feels like you are at someone's house party, in the back yard.

Very unique location, right off the Santa Monica Beach and pier. Conviently located in the downtown area and walking distance to the 3rd street promenade, classy restaurants and bars. Great selection of drinks at the bar, amazing food & service at Fig restaurant. The hotel staff, valet, and room sevice are extremely attentive, knowledgeable, prompt and kind. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Service from the door attendants to house keeping! Stayed there for 4 nights during a ASHA Convention and couldn't have chosen a better place! They have, by far, the best bedding set I have ever slept on! Really felt like clouds! Made me an instant fan of down comforters! I didn't even want to leave the room, just wanted to lay in bed the entire time.

Very friendly people, close to great dining and shopping and sites, comfortable rooms and beds.

Discriminatory to disabled persons, really rude and inept staff made me feel humiliated when I paid a thousand bucks to stay there for a weekend. Discriminated against myself and fellow guests, also after flying 300 miles for a cat and asking for a cat or general pet store, Marcos at front desk sent me 20 minutes away to a dogs-only shop where I couldn't get the ONE item he said they had! Don't waste your money. Stay ANYWHERE else.

Go with the bungalows! fabulous and fabulously expensive. It made me feel like a movie star. Worshipped by gods, and goddesses and dreaming of a day when I can just lay back and live here. I would live in a hotel if I could afford it, no hassles, excellent housekeeping, bar, restaurant, pool, fun, no troubles and no crappy neighbors. What's not to like? I had such an excellent stay. I am sometimes such an air head.

WARNING: According to the front desk this place does not have a set check-in. I arrived at 4:30 pm only to be told that my room was not ready. Over the phone I was told by the hotel staff that check-in is at 3:00 pm and I even knew who I spoke with. However the gentleman at the front desk acted as if he had no idea who I was talking about and was not apologetic nor was he helpful. I asked him for an approximate wait time and he brushed me off and said he didn't know. He told me that the hotel doesn't have a set check-in time. I've stayed at hotel chains including Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton's, Montage, St. Regis and never have I heard such a ridiculous statement. I don't have a problem with my room not being ready as long as you own up to it and treat your guests in a respectable manner. Luckily I happened to have my email confirmation on my iPhone which I had to re-wait in line for another 15 minutes to get help from another gentleman. As soon as he saw the email confirmation a room happened to magically pop up. I don't expect this kind of service from a world class hotel brand such as the Fairmont. On top of being disappointed by the lack of service the rooms are extremely small and the decor is outdated. Next time I stay in Santa Monica I will give Loews and Shutters a try. PS They charge $40 a day guest valet parking.

If you want to feel like a movie star, then this is the spot to stay. When you first roll up you will find an Impressive entrance and lobby. Feel the royal treatment as you exit your vehicle and check in. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the quality is all there. If you can afford it, I highly recommend a stay here.

It's a high-end price at medium-end level. I felt ripped off at the price we paid for a suite. The rooms, bed, and bathroom were small. We were on the ground-floor which meant we were woken-up every morning and there were bugs (2 cockroaches) that we found in 2 days. The pool area is a bit cramped and the beach option is great — but it's a 12 minute walk (which is not great for kids if you've got them). On the plus side — I thought the general service was good (Ryan the concierge was very helpful). I had a great massage from Inana and the hotel is very conveniently located to a bunch of great restaurants.
