Disgusting filth! While my daughter attempted to shower with no soap or other amenities, I pulled back top bedding to discover crumbs and hair. Asked for cleaning and they brought sheets to see for themselves then we checked second bed to find more hair and debris. The bed she began to remake revealed a blood stain.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are so close to the beach it’s walking distance.
Beautiful trees … grass is very pretty & green… the air is fresh… I can go on & on.
@ the end of the day it’s a beautiful place to visit.

So far so good! Clean and close to the beach. I had small issues initially, but they were resolved quickly!

Bad hotel, I have not refunded 5 nights that I had canceled and in addition the rooms are full of dead cockroaches, the hotel has blocked my boyfriend here to facebook because he has asked the money to them, ridiculus! don't go to this hotel!

Terrible service! Soon as we got in the room & opened the curtains the whole rod fell on my head! Webs in the window, dirty tables and the tub didn’t stay full it drained the water. Joanna & Dan have been ignoring the complaints & were suppose to reimburse me for the wrong room but instead blocked my number. I wouldn’t suggest anyone stay there. This is only a portion of the issues that happened. So many pictures to post & recordings.

We were supposed to spend the night at a good friend's apartment on our way through the LA area but that didn't work out. My son had stayed at this hotel before and thought that it was a good value and it was. The room was clean and nicely appointed. I was particularly impressed with the TV remote. It was designed to be easily cleaned and sanitized. I really liked that. The area is interesting and the hotel was reasonably priced for where it is located.

This Inn was certainly the worst on our journey. Even from the outside, it doesn't make an inviting impression with dirty windows and dark brow colour. The parking lot also looked unkempt with the open garbage containers. From the entrance to the room we looked directly into the parking area under the first floor, where also the overflowing containers with the used laundry stood. The room was large enough, but poorly maintained. In the bathroom, the soap dispenser was broken and there was a puddle of soap underneath that wasn't wiped away. Behind the door to the bathroom were various splashes on the wall, which could have been removed with a rag. Not recommended.

Hotel Room-10/10 Rooms were amazing no problems at all. Pool-9/10-Was very nice but thought it would be bigger Front Desk-15/10 The day we checked in we arrived at 10pm very nice Indian guy helped us a lot. Then the next day there was a female very nice and a extra +5 cause of how beautiful she was.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all! Our stay was a mess and we were promised to be contacted by the owner. After many attempts, we were never contacted back. I paid a lot for this room, just to accommodate for 5 people. The room was twice as expensive, just so we could have a pull out sofa. There were 2 pull out sofas and neither one had blankets, sheets or pillows for it. Not to mention, one sofa was filthy with gum inside it and the other was dangerously broken (photos attached). We reported this to the office and they were mortified, but still nothing was done. The shower did not work. The water would turn on and then off, get cold and then piping hot. The smoke alarm was beeping from a dying battery. I called the office to have it fixed and they sent someone who didn't speak english. My friend walked out onto the balcony and pulled to door shut. The broken latch fell and It locked behind her. She was stuck out there for 10 minutes before we all returned to let her back in. The sliding door screens were broken and lying on the balcony floor. I found broken light bulb pieces of glass in the carpet. Not enough parking. They advertise a free breakfast, but its just juice, coffee and muffins (not that we stayed for the breakfast). Like I said, this place was a nightmare. The only compliment that I can give it, was the beds in the room, were new and comfortable. I waited 2 months before writing this review, giving the owner a chance to contact me and make it right.

Really enjoyed my time here… its too bad the manager from my last stay wasnt still employed there, Dee, he was great, very personable. The hotel has a great location to beach.

This is a great location, the beds are super comfortable. Only 4 stars bc the water pressure is a bit low. Great room for the price, safe neighborhood, and you should go here.

It's a small but very comfortable hotel with a great location. Few blocks away from the pier. Staff was really accommodating and friendly. Rooms have a modern interior with a nice flat screen. If you're visiting and have a budget, this place is worth it. Will definitely return again :)

Never stay here. Tried to put me in a room a customer just got moved out of due to bed bugs. I was listening to him complaining and she was just going to clean the room and put me in it. I refused and got my money back and stayed at the Holidays inn instead. Be careful if you stay here. They don't care about your health just about the money manager was insisting on me staying. Horrible just horrible.

The room was an absolute disaster piss all of the bedding stained urine on the floor in the bathroom tile period a two and a half foot long crack in the ceiling the telephone did not work the alarm clock did not work even better the smoke detector was not installed violation of code 6.18 did not want to give me my money back had to call the police enforcement. Will never ever stay at this place again or any Affiliates if they have. Absolute s*** hole.

Okay take it or leave it. I came here and it was midnight the dude walked down in his underwear which was sort of a shock to me but I got over that and got to my room, it looked like someone had been there and literally jumped right out the window. I got to admit the staff in the morning were extremely friendly and their smiles were so cute but I would definitely recommend going somewhere else if you want a clean place to sleep.

My room had a bunch of baby cockroaches crawling all over the fridge, tv, clock, microwave, on the wall and that's not even the worst part our room smelt like straight cigarettes and when we looked closely into out heater we saw a smoked ciggar I have picture proof and video proof of all this. Don't come here if u have a infant child and the locks and dead bolts to the sliding door were broken and would not lock stay here at your own risk.

Oh my god! Serious, the pictures are not accurate. Yeah they renovated, but it's like polishing a terd. First day there, check in was at 2pm… we got there at 1:30, the manager in the office gave us our key and said " go right up". We get up there and the room was filthy, the lady was still cleaning rooms. Ok, fair enough. We were a half hour early. So we walk down to the beach… (Not as close as you think) come back at 3pm, room still not clean yet the maid assures us she IS done and that it's clean. NOPE it wasn't, so we ask manager for new room, they upgrade us to a bigger room… not better or cleaner but bigger. We get in there and have to clean the whole room down our selves, get all new bed linens and remake the beds our selves, ok fine… after that ordeal we notice half way through the night and after the rooms were all full… that our sink began leaking… and leaking… and leaking more, when we turned it on to wash our hands… starts pouring! Put trash can under said sink and called manager who said they would send a guy right up… never happened, had to wash our hands in the tub. Loud place, you can hear everything going on, bed was uncomfortable, pretty much got No sleep, can't see or even smell the beach from this place so to those who think they will leave a window open and bask in the ocean aromas… Not going to happen, it's so closed off that you forget you are even at the beach! House keeping is rude, even new linens look dirty.

It was very great. Had nice service and rooms with a beautiful view.

This place did in a pinch. We had a last minute need for a hotel, this was close to the pier and right on PCH. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The owner was nice. It's better than a motel 6 and most small non chain motels that I've been to. It's no frills but clean. I'd stay again if I find myself in Redondo.

Great place for looking at something close to the beach. A little under developed. But not a problem at all.

The owner/proprietor is a great guy, very helpful and he has always been accomodating. He upgraded me on more than one occasion which was great. The deluxe rooms are very spacious with sunk tub and huge shower. The suites are nice with a luxury bathroom. Walking distance to Redondo Beach Pier and being on Pacific Coast Hwy, hop skip jump to food, bars, shops, drugstore, etc. And reasonable prices too.

What I look for… good beds, nice host, free parking, laundry, good eats near, quietly/safely located… near banks and good shopping… and priced well! All the rest is a given… clean, T. V. Wi-Fi, bathrooms in tact… THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL! I had a lovely walk to the Redondo Pier… alone, at night and felt very safe. Police patrol is very present. The host are exceptionally wonderful people who REALLY care about your comfort. It shows in every detail. Smoking areas set aside, dumpster decorated with live trees, Continental breakfast, and so many other little touches that make this a 5☆ destination. One of my top 10 Hotel/Motels.

Clean. Great location. After a long day of racing our sailboat we were looking forward to a good night sleep. 4am our 3rd floor room sounded like we were in a laundry room with a washer stub in spin cycle. NO response by phone from the office. No answer at front desk.

The website gives a complete misrepresentation of the accommodations. It is far from the modern, clean look they picture. The rooms are dark, unclean and VERY worn. Ultimately, we did not feel that this hotel was up to standard and decided not to stay. The staff was nice enough but very unhelpful and the communication with the "corporate office" was impossible. I have never been able to connect with anyone in their so-called corporate office and have been unsuccessful in getting my refund. They have sent me on a run around in regard to who to connect with and I cannot get a phone number or direct email of anyone with he ability to issue a refund. Bottom line, VERY SHADY! I do not recommend staying here.

Had worst. Price was actually higher than posted online. Room was great. Breakfast sucked. But I got coffee, which was nice. Location was good if you want to swim and watch whales, but far from any other attraction I wanted to see. Staff was friendly. Overall by far not the worst hotel experiance I had.

For the price this hotel met our need. We were able to get the room for $129 plus taxes, $144 out the door. The beds were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was very convenient for access to the Redondo Pier. The walk was less than 5 minutes and it was all downhill. The walk home obviously was uphill and less than 10 minutes. There were several restaurants within the local area and they were not chain restaurants, as we prefer to support the local community. The cons were limited outlet plugs in the room, the room was renovated but not at a "luxury"suite, it seems as though the hotel was still under renovation. This was a basic room that gave you a place to relax without a ton of amenities. A last good pro, there was free parking.

The owners are very nice, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Our non smoking room (all of the rooms are supposed to be non smoking) constantly had cigarette smoke wafting in from somewhere. My eyes stung and my throat hurt every morning. We let the office know several times, were told it'd be taken care of, but it was not. It was very noisy all the time, you could clearly hear traffic in our room, as if a window was open, and it was one of the farthest rooms from the street. The air conditioner was very loud! I would recommend ear plugs if you want to run it at night. The decorations are nice, mid century modern, but everything is in disrepair. Pieces were missing from the TV stand, the chairs in the room had shredded upholstery, and the paint on the wall was damaged. The bed is exceptionally uncomfortable, way too hard. It is, however, a fairly clean room, and close to the beach for the price. I was left feeling very unhappy with the room though, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anybody. The worst part was they charged in advance and no refunds so we were stuck here for 3 more nights after the first terrible one.

I am bummed and will NOT stay there again. My family and I have always stayed here as we love its location and convenience to the beach. I hadn't realized it was under new management. They "remodeled" their rooms but lost their touch on customer service. We originally booked the room for 2 days but had to cancel last minute as we thought our plans changed, within minutes of canceling I tried to rebook (totally my fault) but it would only let us select one night. Upon check in, we asked if we could book the second night, understandably so they had to check to see if their bookings were confirmed. After checking back a few times I was rudely told that if my family wanted to stay another night thatI would need to pay the higher rate, which was almost $100 more than our original booking. My husband wanted to take the kids swimming but after one look at the pool (that their maid was cleaning) he changed his mind, he asked the desk about the pool and they him that they only let people in the pool "if they need it" as advertised of being one of their amenities I would thibk that it would not only be adequately cleaned but also available for the guests to use. The entire experience was definitely a let down and we will never rebook again. The old management will be missed.

Good for the price. And location. But since it pretty cheap for the location. They get a lot of tweakers and people that walk like they are giants. Pets are welcome. So overall it's all good.

So loud. You can hear every footstep from the people upstairs (sadly I know how many times the guy upstairs went to the bathroom in the night). The noise from people outside going down the walkway is very loud too. The light breakfast is oatmeal packets and sad looking smooshed pastries in plastic packages. The pool was closed one day. The next day when it opened we found it wasn't heated and was freezing cold in June. The room looked clean but I found mold growing on the wall beside the bathtub. If the maids keep open the elevator doors downstairs, the elevator will not come for you no matter how long you wait or how heavy your bags are…

This is by far my favorite place to stay when in Redondo. It's clean it's quiet it's relaxing and location is perfect!

Pro's: Staff was friendly and the place looked nice as I hear it was recently renovated. The proximity to the beach and pier was great. Cons: Their was a bit of noise, the pool was dirty and I actually couldn't even find the advertised whirlpool. Our shower also was REALLY weak dispensing hot water and the tub wouldn't hold water. : (The room also smelled like cigarette smoke at times, but I think it may have been from adjoining rooms? The bed was nice and comfy, but I would seek another hotel for the price next time.

Hotel room was very nice. Huge bed, and nicely decorated. 10mins walk to the beach The staff were very friendly and helpful. Downsides, it is very noisy and doesn't exactly feel very secure & safe.

Very friendly staff and nice room! The price was very affordable for the location. The walk to the pier was about 10 minutes. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Very nice place and welcoming staff. Very clean room, Hardwood Floors and Freindly Staff. I drove from Los angeles near WEST. La to redondo pier inn… totally worth the drive and $$. Highly recommended and I will be back soon!

With the location, the age, the upgrading they have done and finally the price, this place a must each time we visit southern California. Dee and the rest of the staff are friendly. They have added touches like usb charging throughout and a wonderful salt water aquarium. Walking distance to the beach, peir, and many restaurants. Most everything else you would need is just a short drive away. We'll be back for sure. See you there.

My now wife and I were looking for a hotel that would offer a room block for our wedding. Wanting something reasonably priced and close to the venue, we called the Redondo Pier Inn. Throughout the process, we spoke with Dee who gave us the amount of rooms we wanted for a great price and was quick to respond. When we arrived to check in, the first thing we noticed was the lovely aquarium in the reception area. They distributed the wedding favor bags to each family who came in. The location was perfect, letting you walk to the pier and beach in less than 10 minutes. My only problem was a faint odor, but I am unsure whether this was coming from my own room, an adjacent room, or a business next door.

Very good interior renovation of the rooms. Well situated for the beach and the Pier. Parking is free.

Complete remodel under way when we arrived. Our Room was HUGE with a Private patio and sliding door with a screen. We were able to sit outside or just leave the screen open and enjoy the ocean breeze in our room. The new upgrades are amazing to have in such and affordable Inn. The manager was accommodating and very personable. My family and I would stay here again any time. Clean, no bugs, comfy beds, Dark Curtains so we could sleep in, and in walking distance to the beach and places to eat and shop. Its a Gem. Great job on the remodel.

I was very, very pleased with the Pier Inn. Location is great, a few minutes cab ride from LAX, and 10 mins walk to the lovely Redondo Pier restaurants and bars. The renovated rooms are clean and large as a Manhattan studio apartment. Great shower, free toiletries and very quiet A/C. I slept like a baby till late. Elevator, parking for your car in the shade, and above all a very friendly, helpful and efficient management. I'll stay here again when I transit through LAX. It's the best place to relax between flights.

We stayed in the Redondo Beach area from 11/29-12/2/2014. Had not been by the pier in over 15 yrs. The Red Pier Inn location is fantastic — easy walking to the Pier and beach. Also on Pac Coast H1 — many eateries around to visit daily. The room on the 3rd floor was remodeled. Clean, modern, nice flat screen TV. Also many channels available. Wifi signal was steady and strong. Bedding clean, mattress firm, linens clean. The bathroom itself was very small and the shower water pressure is a bit on the mild side. However, water temp (hot water) was steady and good. Nice to have mini-fridge, microwave in room, plus utensils. Front desk was helpful, always available. Dee, the General Mgr, was more than ready to help and give information about the region of the beach/Pier, etc. We enjoyed the stay at the Red Pier Inn — will definitely look to visit there again soon. My family and I go to California a few times a year from Las Vegas and we always save one or two days to go to Rodondo Beach. We have stayed at a couple different hotels but none are as clean, big and friendly as Rodondo Pier inn.

Staying here currently for work. Rooms are newly renovated and very nice. The only complaint we have is the noise being so close to busy road, and you can hear the people on top of us when they walk. Awesome staff and rooms though, great price.

Dee and his staff are amazing this is a must stay when in redondo beach the new rooms are beautiful. You can tell they took there time and focused on every little detail to make your stay conveiniant and comfortable. I love this place and will definitely be back.

There rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, iron, and ironing board. Only two blocks from Redondo Pier, about 30 minutes from LAX. It is an older hotel, get the upgraded room. We missed our flight into LA due to airport security. Called up the hotel and they saved our room for the next day. Also didn't charge for the night we missed. This will be our regular place to stay when coming to Los Angeles.
