The renovations being made will definitely make this hotel a crown jewel in the Santa Ana hotel market.
They serve a great hot breakfast in the morning for hotel guests, have a very nice exercise room with newer equipment. The outdoor pool is beautiful and clean, swim as you listen to sounds of hundreds of cicadas, crickets and katydids.

We loved our hotel room. Very cute living room and very comfortable bed! Staff were all nice and helpful especially understanding that I was arriving late that evening. I will come back again.

Very close to John Wayne. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Close to the beaches. Would definitely stay here again.

Request an early check-in … I was rudely told "NO" … Granted, I did get a discounted rate through Priceline but I didn't expect them to be doing construction work on the same floor that I was staying nor did I expect the constant banging in the room above me! Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep with the kid running around up above me or the smell of solvents emanating from the hallway! So around 9am, I called the front desk to request a late check-out … No answer! Call again at 10am… No answer! Long story short, IRVIN, at the front desk tells me I cant have a late check-out! Keep in mind, this is after I've already explained to him the nightmare evening I've had! I really didn't need a late check-out, I was just testing the front desk to see what level of customer service they provided! Honestly, I was shocked at his demeanor! This employee, clearly, needs to have an attitude adjustment and maybe some education as to how he gets paid… I thought that the definition of this industry was HOSPITALITY?!

Rooms were nice & clean. It's an older Hampton. Pool & hot tub are outside. Our Bathroom was hard to get in & out of. The door barely cleared the sink area. Food recommendations from the front desk were spot on! Nice location to where we were visiting. Food was good for breakfast buffet. Everyone was very friendly. Our only complaint was the beds were not as comfortable as other Hampton's we have stayed at. My husband & I both have bad backs & that is the 1 thing we always thought we could count on were the beds.

I would have given the hotel 5 stars had it not been for the fact that the hall in front of my room and the elevator was littered with trash can and debris. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The toiletries that are in the room are actually good quality and will not dry out your hair or body. The bed is comfortable and they provide both softwr and harder pillows to suit your preference. The breakfast is excellent, hot dishes, waffles with lots of toppings to choose from, baked goods, fruit and juices. It is close to super markets, drugstores, several freeways and about 15-20 min from Disneyland.

They are currently renovating the first floor and I assume they'll renovate the upper floors later. So the hallway carpets, once changed, will make the hallway look much better. The rooms themselves are pretty nice and spacious. The amenities such as fridge and microwave and door separated rooms were a plus. They had dine in service, complimentary breakfast, and decent Wi-Fi speeds.

I've avoided this hotel because they're the only one that charge for parking and they are the pricier ones on the block. All the furniture looks second hand, scuffed scratched and stained. None of the frames match, art is from the 80s and visually warped behind the glass. Paint is poorly done, white paint brushed onto the wall paper. Room was not vacuumed fixtures filthy and many holes spackled and painted poorly. The carpet near the sink was wet so I'm sure they had a leak. Parking lot is way too small. Upon leaving there were cars blocking others everywhere. Just a terrible experience for a higher end chain. The holiday inn is a much better alternative. Even the la quinta across the street.

Room was good, but the fridge didn't work. The TV was missing (although, the TV stand was still mounted on our dresser) from our bedroom. A room on the second floor flooded and spilled into the fitness center below, closing it down during our stay. I'm a Gold Member, but they didn't do much for us. I thought they would at least stick to their Satisfaction Guarantee or It's Free policy, but they didn't. Hilton needs to make this right.

The facilities are great &high quality. But we had significant issues with our reservation, check-in, and room availability. The computer system that they use clearly does not function as it should. But the staff was helpful and reasonable taking care of the issues.

Room was a good size and clean. Parking was easy and hotel was near our destination. People at the check in counter were very nice and helpful and check-in/ out was very easy as quick.

Worst hotel experience ever! The room AC, sink and phone in my room were not working. After convincing the front desk help to have her manager call me, things got worse. Chris the manager is the least customer service oriented human I have ever spoken to regarding an issue. The "offer" I was given was a fan, keep my window open (next to a highway) and that they wouldn't charge me for the night. Never was another room or location offered to me. The best part is my stay is on behalf of a Fortune 100 corporate account and Chris never cared to be more helpful.

No hot water one day, leaking ceilings on multiple floors (1st and 4th), bad soundproofing (could hear people shouting outside every night), missing wallpaper in the halls. My room itself wasn't bad and the staff was nice but overall this was a sub-par experience.

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Worn out look and feel of the passageways and elevatots. Wallpaper was stapled to the walls. Good customer service.

The rooms were great the only down fall about the rooms are that beds and pillows are not very good. Also the pool was extremely dirty and had small dead bugs in it. But on the other hand they Serve you hot breakfast which is nice, and the staff if pretty nice.

The bed is amazingly comfortable and roomy. The showerhead is actually high enough to step under unlike most hotels. The complementary breakfast was good. Wish I had more time at the hotel to enjoy the amenities. It felt like an apartment and not a hotel. Staff was friendly. Had a great experience.

Extremely friendly staff but the room used was always to cold or too hot. Breakfast was quite nice as well. Everything was clean and worked were attentive. Would come again.

Enjoyed the stay. Everything in the room was clean and net. Hotel had up to date furniture. The staff were great. The price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

Stayed there exactly once. Decent value for the dollar but would like a little more. Size of room was ok. Facilities were OK. Etc.

I love Hampton Inn. Just not this one. Staff is great. Hidden parking charge, uncomfortable beds, equals a big PASS. This location is not up to normal Hampton Inn standards. Too many choices out there. Lots of choices up and down the block.

Got a great room with an amazing rate. Two bedrooms, oven, stove, full size fridge, fireplace. The beds were comfy, very nice and accommodating staff and the free breakfast was impressive.

I wanted tp give this hotel 5 stars but it haf a few flaws that made our stay a bit of a nightmare. The rooms are clean and maintained. The location is fantastic for everything we were doing while on vacation. It is obvious the owner takes pride in his hotel. Breakfast room is beautiful. We checked in late in evening a decided to go soak in hot tub and enjoy the beautiful California weather. The hot tub had a strong chlorine smell. When we got out and headed back to our room I noticed my grey swimsuit was cream. The chemicals in the hot tub had ruined my swim suit. My skin had a horrible rash and felt like it was burning. I spoke with the front desk employee "Chase" he tried to address my concerns but asked me to speak with Manger in morning. He told me it was not a heath concern and would not shut down the hot tub. The morning front desk manager tried to accomadate my concerns and offer me compensation by giving me free parking. $16 Does not cover the cost of my ruined swim suit. She got the manager "Peter" who basically called me a liar and said the pool is not chemically treated it was salinated. We walked out to the pool area with him to prove a chemical had been used in hot tub. He offered 50, 000 Hilton points for compensation and only awarded me 5, 000. One day after checking out I had to go into a Urgent Care to be treated for a UTI.

Exactly what you expect from a Hampton suites inn. Big rooms, cleans sheets and everything working. 4 stars because of moderate water pressure and aircraft noise from the airport. On the plus side getting to SNA airport is a super short drive even at the height of traffic.

Hampton Inn and Suites in Santa Ana, offer a great place to stay when visiting the LA area. This Hampton location is surrounded by older hotels, this location is a bit aged, but has been remodeled. Parking on weekends tend to be an issue, since the parking lot for this location is very small. Parking at this location is $8, but when all stalls are filled, you are forced to have it valeted for the same price. Other than that my stay was great.

Good hotel, well located to go to Disney has transportation. In general the service is good.

Great stay. Breakfast was great in the morning, although the selection was not as big as I expected. The room was a double on the top floor and felt like a suite. There was a large sitting area. So beautiful.

My new favorite place to stay! The customer service is absolutely above and beyond fantastic, the hotel is nearly immaculate, clean, upscale and very convenient. Breakfast buffet is great with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit and various breakfast pastries as well as oatmeal, cereal and bagels with alllllllll the toppings/trimmings, plus the fresh made waffle bar with all the fixings! I checked in on a Wednesday evening, and to my surprise they were having their weekly complimentary BBQ with hot dogs and hamburgers as well as wines and beer — so much fun! Of course the best part was my room — a 1 bedroom with a couch/sitting area with a TV and a nice TV in the bedroom as well! The bed is super comfy and clean and well made, lots of storage space and spotlessly clean bathroom! All that for a very reasonable price too! I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, the only downside here is that you'll never want to leave!

Wow! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and cups. Everything we needed. Breakfast had an incredible variety of hot, cold, low-carb, and sinful options. We were sad to leave.

Courteous and friendly staff at check-in and check-out. The room was nice, big, and clean. The breakfast was very good. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Love this hotel, beds are comfy & bathroom is clean. Breakfast is fabulous, awesome homemade oatmeal. Complimentary valet parking when the lot is full. Very happy!

The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Front desk staff made you feel welcome from the beginning till the end. Everyone was always smiling. Even the valet guy took pride in their role to make customer feel happy. Rooms were great, nice layout and clean.

First time staying in a "nice' hotel like this. All of my travels, I always stuck in between on how to allocate my money, either on hotels, food, fun etc etc. So for the first time, instead of going to a budget hotel/motel, I chose to stay in Hampton Inn & Suites in Santa Ana. No doubt, it is a lot better than the budget hotels, no brainer. Hampton's continental breakfasts are absolutely amazing and it changes every morning! The rooms and restroom are very nice and clean. Something I definitely enjoyed & took advantage of. One thing I should have looked up more was the Wi-Fi, its not free. So unfortunate for a guy who brought his laptop expecting free Wi-Fi but it's such a small thing. Another thing is overnight parking is not free, $8/ night to park overnight cause of their "valet" thing. I have no clue what that meant cause I never saw them until one night where I came back around 11pm and there they were, there to assist me when there's no parking in their small parking lot. I gave my keys and there goes my car to whatever other parking lot they have hidden. Unfortunately, the next morning, I came down to get my key from the front desk and was told the car is the lot in front of the main entrance but after walking around the small lot, my car was not to be found. Had the front desk to help me and he didn't know where it was, so I had to wait about 15 mins for him to figure it out and lord behold, it was in their hidden parking lot somewhere down the horizon.

I have been staying at this hotel during business trips to Santa Ana off and on for the better part of 3 years. I probably have stayed here two dozen times and this is my first review (which is well overdue). The facility and staff are great. If I ever have any issue, they are on top of it and rectify it immediately. The staff is friendly and polite, with a friendly hello whenever they see you. The rooms are always clean and fresh when I arrive and I get a good nights rest. Congratulations to the owners and staff for making me feel so comfortable.

It was good, but I can sleep in any place.

All by itself. Hotels no food. Airplanes fly right over the hotel (hence airport hotel). The staff is rude and parking is very limited. Upgrade yourself and book something way better.

This hotel is super cool it's a ship themed hotel, it's pet friendly so my monkey could roll to SF with us, my girlfriend loved the rooms theme it was like being in the Titanic! The room was a ships all nautical themed! There was a museum in the hotel location, ideal location across from fisherman a wharf! We absolutely loved the hotel the staff was impeccable and the property was gorgeous! Love love loved this hotel! Ps I think my room was haunted! How bad ass was that! My woman thinks I'm nuts!

Quiet location and affordable for the area. Clean rooms and responsive staff.

My family and I love to stay here. It's our 3rd time this year. The daily hot breakfast, is great! The staff is always courteous, the rooms are very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The amenities in room are another wonderful addition. The coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave are great for a family, especially with young children. I only give this place 4 stars because their parking lot is full to the max at night and it's frustrating arriving to that after a long day. Fortunately they have a Valet to park your vehicle when the lot is full, but usually I like to park and walk in. Kudos to their management! & staff We will be back! Thank you for always making our stay great.

The room was very nice and quick service.

Beautiful hotel; comfortable and quiet environment. The buffet was very delicious. They have a lot of variety to choose of. The room we stake was spacious and clean definitive coming back again.

5 night stay. Staff and room were fantastic. Only issue we had was when we came in late Friday night from an event, there was no parking.

An excellent hotel with very good service and management.
