The renovations being made will definitely make this hotel a crown jewel in the Santa Ana hotel market.
They serve a great hot breakfast in the morning for hotel guests, have a very nice exercise room with newer equipment. The outdoor pool is beautiful and clean, swim as you listen to sounds of hundreds of cicadas, crickets and katydids.

Well for starters TVs don't work, no ironing board in room never in 30 Years of softball or baseball travelball have we ever experienced such BS.

Tub leaks not just drips but leaks a steady stream of water, no temperature control so cold had to get 3 blankets no guides for channels in TV or local places to eat or things to do, have conferences same time as school field trips teenagers telling in the halls slamming doors and I was so tired during training fell asleep. Paid good money to fly out for these training sessions to be so tired can’t concentrate waste of money.

The room was really big and clean. The bathroom was very small and definitely needed to be cleaned better. There was hair in the shower and on the towels. There was no climate control. It was warm in our room and none of us slept well that night. We were offered a fan, but all that would do is blow the same warm air so we decided to open the window for awhile trying to cool it down. We couldn’t leave it open for too long though because the outside noise and lights were prohibitive go sleep. The beds were very uncomfortable. None of the phones in the room worked. The breakfast buffet was good. I expect more from Embassy Suites. Definitely disappointed in this property. With all the negative reviews, I do wonder how much longer this property will hold the Embassy Suites name.

This is the worse experience I’ve had staying at embassy suites I have stayed with this hotel in Cali and different states and never not had a heater in room the hotel was cold and had no HEAT. I went to the pool and had to go to sleep with wet hair and no heat now I’m sick. I have tried calling to complain but the manager Peter is not available. The ice machine on the 10th floor was out of order. The fire alarm was set off at 4a and was a false alarm which broke my sleep and rattled my nerves. Very pretty on the inside with furniture but the experience is not so pretty. I’m yet waiting to be called back or emailed regarding this stay.

Great place to stay. Pretty close to everything in Orange County from Costa Mesa to Angel Stadium. It's a short ride to either location. Rooms are clean, good happy hour and breakfast, and the room has a small entry room with it's own TV so it's nice to be able to hang out in another room besides the bed room. Will stay here again. It was under construction so some of the areas were not open.

The rooms were old and outdated. The bathroom was the size of a closet and had a warped floor. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the lamps did not work. You can hear all the freeway traffic and all the noise from the lobby below. Hey did run out of extra blankets and I was provided a mattress cover to use as a blanket. The lobby was remodeled and looked very nice and most of the staff was very helpful. I would not stay at this location again.

Interesting visit. We have stayed many times before and have had great experiences. They are in the middle of the remodel, which is great however, the outlets in our room didn't work. The solution was to not charge us for parking. Also we had animal droppings on our balcony which weren't ever cleaned. Overall we would not stay again if there were other options.

I couldn't say one bad thing about this hotel. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Everything was above amazing including the staff. We didn't even use valet parking, but they were extremely nice as well. The breakfast was delicious and better than your average hotel breakfast. I have stayed in many hotel chains but I would have to say this place was the best by far. Keep up the good work Embassy ❤❤ you are now my Choice of hotel chains.

Due to renovations, I'm currently rating this hotel as 3 stars and the main reason is accessibility. Based on how the parking is setup and the current "lobby" location, it is really inconvenient to get in and out from the parking lot (unless you valet). I feel that during this time they should have temporarily moved valet parking so that it wasn't such an inconvenience. Everything else was great though. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Complimentary breakfast buffet. Evening reception with free chips and fountain drinks. Pool area was nice also.

The rooms were a good size although a little bit it dark. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. There was very little outside noise considering the construction. The breakfast and managers reception was very good and properly served.

Good location, close to Santa Ana airport. Perfect breakfast. Big rooms. Complementary alcohol drinks during "happy hours". Refrigerator and microwave in rooms. Pool and hot tub. Just one complain. All furniture is a bit old for Embassy Hilton chain.

Guest services at front desk were friendly. The room however was a different story… I understand they are going through a remodel, but cleanliness … should still be a priority (especially since our room wasn't getting remodeled)! Here's the problem: MOLD in the bathroom! Yes. MOLD! That had been there. It didn't just happen overnight (which means they are not cleaning and inspecting things), Vents with hanging dust and blowing that dust and dirt, the sheets were too small for the bed AND inside out. TV in front room didn't work. Also the pool/spa area smelled horrible (like dirty laundry) and there was pondIng water by the drain. Which probably was the smell. Just multiple things that made the visit not good. (Good thing we only had to stay one night) Front desk apologized, but if it gets fixed or not we won't know because we won't be going back.

Service has been fantastic. The lobby is under construction but that's a minor inconvenience. Rooms need to be the next renovation. The room that I stayed in the bathroom fan doesn't look like it's worked for a year and there's mold growing all over the place. The restaurant is under construction as well except for the kitchen, but the food taste like it came from Sam's Club and warmed up in a microwave.

MY room was an absolute dump! The curtains were ripped to shreds, the sheets were dirty, the towels were stained, the bottom of the bed was ripped. I sent pictures to Hilton and their response was offering me 10K points. As a Hilton diamond, I am more disappointed in Hilton’s response vs this filthy hotel. I am in Santa Ana every week and will never stay here again. Go to the embassy suites near the airport, to have will pay a little more but you will have clean sheets!

Amazing hotel. I love the pool, and the people working there are always so friendly, always willing too bring up an extra sheet set. In my experience, all embassy suites are like this, but this one is one of the best I've been to.

It isn't nice by any stretch but still pretty clean for the most part. The breakfast is decent and extremely friendly staff. The property definitely is run down and old, but they mostly make up for it with service and location.

What better place to quedarae a weekend qie Embassy suites! Hapoy hour and Desayubo included. All rooms are suites. Vuel or every time I can give myself a getaway. The Prexio PPR you get is excellent.

The room was very nice, but we couldn't get the air conditioning to work. Apparently it's either hot or cold depending on the temperature outside, so you can't actually pick the thermostat temperature. Other than that, very nice stay, great location, and friendly staff.

You are going to love this place! Great decor. Very friendly staff. The aroma is phenomenal. I LOVE the elevators! They talk and say something fun and nice!

This hotel used to be a family favorite. They have done a "remodel" and took out the inviting tropical atmosphere and replaced it with a "halfway" modern, cold feel. There used to be fish, turtles, waterfalls, and tropical plants in the atrium/breakfast area. Now you have happy hour in a run down restaurant. The rooms have been halfway remodeled, but the old fixtures and old doors remain. I am surprised Hilton approves the conditions of this hotel. Staff is friendly, and always have been. The hotel itself needs a lot of work to be "Hilton Standard".

One of the nicest hotels I've been to that are somewhat affordable. Service is great, you have free access to pool, gym, and food during your stay. Rooms are nice. Food is okay.

Pros: 1. ) Great Breakfast compared to competition. 2. ) Comfortable beds. 3. ) Big living spaces (suites). 4. ) Cocktails from 530PM-730PM. Negatives: 1. ) Water was out for a full day. 2. ) No hot water when I woke up. Had to shower cold. 3. ) Dust collection, mold spots, hard water build-up indicates poor upkeep. 4. ) Thermometer in room doesn't seem to do anything. Result: I encountered problems here that I'd expect to find at a No-Star Motel. Instead good money was paid for a poor experience. I don't plan to stay here again.

It was very nice. Staff was attentive, the place was beautiful, but the room we used fluctuated in temperature. If it was fine I would have rated it 5 stats.

Nowhere to park and they charge $17 a day. They have 2 large metal containers and pallets and chairs and table in the back parking taking up all that space. And on top of no parking there is no heat in this place. They had to bring my wife a portable heater. Really! @#?. I normally stay at the Residence Inn and here is why.

This is an awesome hotel in a great location. It's only about 10 minutes from Orange County airport. They have a shuttle service that runs between the hotel and the airport on an as needed basis. Bad thing is the shuttle service ends by 9:30 p. M. However the day that I was there, one of the valet went above and beyond and still brought me back from the airport even though it was past 9:30. Breakfast is awesome here too with the absolute best omelettes anywhere. Whenever I come to this area, I try to stay here.

Parking was a nightmare, but other than that the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. Hotel was undergoing renovations, but it didn't affect my stay. Rooms were spacious. Bathtub faucet was leaking in our room. Location was good. Right off the 55 which was good since our actual destination was Disneyland.

This is a very nice hotel in a convenient location to highways, restaurants, etc. Room was clean, and comfortable. There were some negatives, but no deal breakers. The atrium was under construction, and will be awesome when done, the manager's reception consisted of just chips, chips and salsa, nothing exciting, and the free drinks… are definitely well drinks, and did not taste that good. Might want to stick with bottled beer and wine. But… It was free.

1 — Floor smelled like urine 2 — Toilet overflows when flushed 3 — Shower doesn't turn all the way off 4 — Found bloody band aids and old hair ties on the floor. Spoke with the front desk about these issues, they sent a lady who sprayed frebreeze the floor and a handyman who couldn't fix the shower properly because it was late and would take time. I was told to just play with the handle some. This place is as high end as a Sizzler, Hilton and the Embassy Suites should be embarrassed by there help service and by their room quality. At the defense of Embassy Suites, they did offer me fresh towels as a apology instead of a different room or any of my money back. They need to change their rates to hourly, it's that disgusting. Anyone who posts 2 or higher, either works for Embassy Suites or doesn't care about personal hygiene. I can't let another person waste their money as I did. Buyer beware.

I stayed here for business, this was my second time in the same month. On my second stay I noticed the staff, who have always been friendly, started to remember me. In particular, there was this gentleman, his name is Oscar. Oscar Placed special attention to what my drink was and what I was having for diner. He would occasionally check on me and provided conversation, which as a lonely traveler, it was much appreciated. Ruben was awesome with his attention to detail as well. The young lady at the bar is super friendly and welcoming. Overall these group of strangers made me feel at home and as I am to return on business really soon, I will make sure to book my room here and I will look forward to see friendly faces such as Oscar, Ruben and Mariella. Thank you Embassy suites for making me feel at home away from home.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years when traveling for work. I used to think it had a really cool atmosphere, the atrium especially. There was a stream that went through the middle with a waterfall, turtles, koi fish and large palms. It was dimly lit and was the perfect place to relax and grab a drink after work. I really enjoyed that atmosphere. I just checked in and am shocked to see that the entire atrium is in the process of being rebuilt which I think is really sad. It's super tacky looking, very modern. Everything is white, there are now super bright lights everywhere. The atmosphere is completely different now. Not really relaxing at all. Sad! This used to be the coolest hotel…

Will steal your valuables. We stayed at this Embassy Suites Oct. 5 — Oct 7.2017, departing early morning of Oct. 8. After realizing on the morning of Oct. 9 that I had left my laptop in the room, I called the hotel and was sent to Housekeeping and left a message at 5:00 am PT. I have a friend in the area and asked him to go by the hotel as I felt for sure Housekeeping or the front desk had the laptop and we would easily pick it up. It had only been left in the room for a few hours and should have been found by Housekeeping assuming they clean the room thoroughly every day. My friend was told by the front desk at 8:45 am PT that they had the laptop and went to check on it but came back and said they don't have it (suspicious? ). Upon hearing this, I called the front desk myself at 9:30 am PT, explained the situation and was sent to Housekeeping again. Louis, Housekeeping Manager, said he didn't know as he just got in (I had left a message earlier) but he checked and nothing had been logged yet. Louis said he would call me in two hours after talking with the Housekeeping Manager and the maid who cleaned the room and it is now 2:24 PT. No follow up. I should mention that the maid who cleaned our room the afternoon of Oct. 7 left her cleaning rag with cleaning solution on it right by our TV. We had a laugh about it but it shows the quality of the housekeeping staff at this hotel. It's a shame; I usually love Embassy Suites but won't stay at this one again.

I wish I could post NEGATIVE stars. Worst experience I've ever had, and absolutely disappointing for such horrible conditions and lack of communication from website information to their staff. NOT what I would expect from a HILTON name! To see their sign that says "if you're not completely satisfied, we'll MAKE IT RIGHT". Complete LIE. Mold in our room, no air conditioning, pool and spa closed with out ANY verbiage stated in the website. Construction information is vague, and staff is uninformed and uncaring. Thank Hilton for making my Honeymoon MISERABLE! Your $25 compensation didn't even cover taxes or resort fees on our room. I will NEVER be staying at a HILTON hotel ever again!

The hotel was under major renovation, which we were not made aware of. The ads were much more beautiful than the room was. It was old and out dated. Construction noise from 9 to 5. Weak breakfast. Not the worst I've been in but far from. The best. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Visited this place during the Labor day weekend. It's very crowded. The packing lot is always full when I come back late at night. Inside, there is construction in the atrium causing dusty the entire outside the rooms: the balcony, the elevator. Inside, the room have heavy odor and needed to update badly. The hotel was understaffed for the holiday weekend. As the results, breakfast lines were and many no place to sit. Hilton should do better job to inform customers about the hotel remodel when booking.

Queen couch was the most uncomfortable bed ever, air conditioning was uncontrollable in the room. Not enough forks and knives for breakfast. No parking so we were forced to use the valet and in the morning our car was covered in millions of ants. Construction was horrible for viewing. No view. Over packed hotel and high price made for a terrible stay. We will not be staying in a embassy hotel again! And no water in the rooms, ice machine was in a room with a very smelly trash shoot. They charge for parking and 15 dollars more for valet.

I was not a fan of this hotel. I've posted this on Trip Advisor as well, but the hotel was clean enough and staff helpful enough, but everything seemed old and tired. It was not impressive. There was construction going on in the middle of the hotel, so there is a big hole in the ground visible from everywhere, which isn't great. The rooms were too warm (the A/C system doesn't work well), and the price was high for what was offered. I would not stay again unless there were some major changes.

Awful, by Embassy Suites standards… Whole place smelled like mold and sweat. Room are old and warn looking. Maintenance is non nonexistent (I kept complaining, but things did not get fixed, I was there the whole week). They charge for parking (other hotels in the area don't). And the lobby was under construction. Lots of better hotels in the area, don't stay here. Interestingly, this is the 1st time I have stayed at a Hilton property and not gotten a survey. They know this place is a dump.

The most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on! The room was cozy and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that was included in our hotel rate. Only downside was the tremendous amount of construction that was going on in the middle of the building. If self parking was full, the hotel will provide valet services at no additional cost. Will be back if we are in that area!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room accommodations were nice and the fitness center was too. I arrived a few hours earlier than the check in time and they still gave me access to my room right away. Have stayed in a lot of hotels in California but I frequently have problems with getting a room even at the normal check in time and other issues with customer service and accommodations.

I just came here for a professional event but from what I saw, the main lobby and the entire ground floor is BEAUTIFUL. Large amounts of greenery and fountains provide a very serene yet detailed scenery.

Pool is open late! Big room. Big! Fun hotel. Free food in loby. Tv has good stations. Cant rent movies though. Comfy beds. Lots of vegetation in the lobby. Which looks awesome! Modern looking room which is VERY important! Good stay. Some renovation woke me up this morning. But I sleep till 12 so thats my fault.

Great hotel, very friendly and professional staff. It has a nice indoor water feature with a bridge to cross. Attended an event here and it seemed clean throughout.

I just left this hotel after trying to check in with my Priceline reservation. After waiting for thirty minutes in line, I was told by Fred that my fully paid for reservation was no longer valid because the hotel was sold out. He also suggested that this was fully the mistake of Priceline and took absolutely no responsibility for the error. The entire situation is completely unnacceptable. Had Fred been in the least bit empathetic, this situation may have been salvageable, but so do not foresee this as the case any longer.

This is a great hotel. The front desk person, Eric, is very helpful. We wouldn't have been able to stay here without his help.

Attended an event here and found it to be a nice hotel for events. It's calm and quiet with very friendly staff. We had a great experience. Design is very familiar to other embassy suite locations I've visited!

This is the first time that I have ever left a review on Google… or practically anywhere else for that matter… at least that I can recall. But, I think an honest, non-bitter review is warranted. I generally love Embassy Suites… Generally you know what you are getting… but in this instance have one big complaint. When I arrived at the hotel late at night, it was warm outside. I am a very hot-natured person. When I finally got up to my room, I opened the door and the room was sweltering hot and extremely stagnant/stuffy. So, as per the norm when I am traveling, I marched right over you the thermostat to crank it down and get the a/c moving. That's when… standing beneath the very low popcorn ceilings (an Embassy Suites norm) … I saw it… "the sign"… the sign which tells you that you have absolutely no input whatsoever regarding whether the a/c or the heat is on. The building… as in the entire building… can only run one at a time. So despite how sweaty or cold you might be, you don't have any control over whether you get a/c or heat. If the temp outside is higher than 75, then supposedly you get a/c… though I am questioning this… it was over 75 outside and the a/c was not on during my stay. The best I can recall from the sign, if the temp is less than 55 (or 60) outside, then you supposedly get heat. If the temp outside is somewhere in between, then you get nothing. Here was my problem… even when the temp outside was hovering around 75 outside (and the a/c was not on),.

We have stayed at many different Embassy suites and this one should not be considered an Embassy suites. The bathroom is extremely small the hot water took at least 10 minutes before it would get hot. You have no control over the temperature of your room. You have no thermostat only a fan speed control. The hotel controls the a/c and heater depending on the outdoor temperature. The bedding on the sofa sleeper did not smell fresh we had to ask for clean bedding. The carpet was not very clean you would think with us staying there six nights housekeeping would at least vacuum but nope didn't happen. Housekeeping forgot to replace our towels left us with no towels didn't replace paper goods. This hotel is outdated and $15.00 daily parking fee. You are really paying for breakfast more then anything else. Bottom line, I would NOT recommend you to stay at this hotel for the price you are paying your not really getting an Embassy Suites.

My husband and I stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Ana on October 1 & 2, 2015. We appreciated the airport shuttle service. The breakfast was outstanding and the service was very good (Angela at the breakfast was a terrific help to me as I am disabled! ). The parking fee was waived for us, probably because we could not get a shuttle when we arrived at the airport so had to take a cab that evening. Although the room could use renovation, it was still nice enough, comfortable and with amenities. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We had an amazing stay at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana. My husband and I just got married in California. Upon our arrive to California the alternator on our car went out, we worried about what to do with the car. We took out chances and just had it towed to the hotel because it was late and every other place we could think of was closed. The valet was kind and assisted us in finding a spot were the tow truck could get in and leave the car. Upon check in the man at the desk gave us free parking, due to the occasion of our stay. Over the next few days we spent the day in the parking lot pulling out a car, they were very kind about this and offered any help and anything we needed. On top of all the car stuff the room was always very clean and well kept by the staff… even after we went swimming and left sand all over the room. The breakfast is included and had a great selection of food and convenient hours of service. All the staff I interacted with were helpful and kind. Thank you Embassy Suites for making my crazy honey moon a great one! :)

Everything was great here the only thing was when u first go in the room is very hot but after u turn on the a/c it was perfect.

If it wasn't for a conference I'm attending, I would never stayed at this hotel. For the price they charged me, I expect better customer service and hotel rooms. First of all, they charged for outdoor parking. Are you serious? The carpet is musky and old. They really need a real upgrade! On top of that, the bathroom smells like public bathroom. The front desk is unhelpful! My keys got deactivated and I couldn't open the door. I came up to the front desk and the little girl told me I needed my ID to get the keys re-activated. I told her I left my ID in my room since I'm just downstairs. She said that the policy is you need to have your ID to activate your cards. I told her she could verify my address and all the info they have to activate my keys for me. They still said no! It's not good customer service people! It's annoying that I had to have someone escort me to my room to verify my ID. It's so ridiculous! I never had this experience anywhere else at any other hospital. Policies are good, but when it's not practical, you should change it! It ruined my stay.

Main complaint is the bed is super hard no give. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor or a board under me. The breakfast was wonderful and the balcony is nice view.

I stay at this hotel for business about 5 days every two months for the last two years. After several tries at several other hotels, this hotel is the best value in the area. The two rooms, the friendly and accommodating staff, the amazing breakfast, the atrium which is truly stunning are all reasons to come back over and over. Its easy access to Highway 55 and the John Wayne Airport without feeling like an airport hotel cannot be overstated for value. The downsides are small the glass windows on either side of the door to each room, though adding architectural beauty to the atrium, seriously take away from privacy inside the room. Book a room ending in "14" if this bothers you. Also the paid parking that was implemented in November 2014 still irritates me every time I pull in the parking lot. I will say before I would sometimes not be able to find a parking spot and now that is never an issue. However, paid parking in that location seems silly. The internet only works in the "living room" of each suite. It will not work in bedroom area no matter what room you get in my experience. Still given the windows, parking and internet, it is the best value hotel in the area.

Great hotel! Great value for your money! In our last trip to Disneyland we book on this hotel and I was surprised for the large rooms, they really have 2 separate rooms, the bed where ok, the bathroom looks like was recently renovated. We all loved the made to order breakfast, having the indoor pool was great and my kids enjoy it the 2 days we stay in there. 2 separated TV's and the rooms where clean, my compliments to all the staff, they make our stay fill like it was to be in home. we are going to go back to this hotel any time we are back in Santa Ana, this is the place to stay.

Unreliable Internet, could not get my work done. When I asked for a room with better internet service they gave me one that was marginally better but the A/C did not work.

DO NOT — — I REPEAT — — DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING HERE! DO NOT STAY HERE! My daughter had her wedding here on July 19, 2014. That was a bad decision. The catering director, Jean Fulco, is as rude as she is incompetent! She mentioned that she had never done a wedding with 200-250 guests and it showed. She was extremely rude to the bride, the mother of the bride, the grandmother of the bride, the guests, etc. Etc. I am still in disbelief about her behavior. After all, she is in the service industry. An example of Jean's extreme incompetency, she has charged two different people for my daughter's wedding — — one of which was charged twice. She double billed several wedding related expenses and WILL NOT make it right. She is full of excuses and will not reverse the charges. Corporate is of no help as they keep referring us back to Jean or the manager, Tim, who is just as incompetent and rude. It is amazing that this Hilton owned hotel is in business. If they don't make this fiasco right, we will certainly have to report this to the BBB and consider any other recourse. My daughter could not be more disappointed with her wedding thanks to Jean, and neither could I. Furthermore, I, as well as other family members and friends stayed at the hotel after the wedding. The staff is really rude and the hotel does not have the bare necessities such as blankets and towels. We were cold that night because the hotel ran out of blankets and the heater did not work properly.

Honesty my stay was great! My rate for the room I stayed is 8.5/10. They are nicely cleaned and well organized. My only Con from this hotel was getting great signal for my phone. I use T-Mobile by the way so maybe it's my problem. Anyways the exterior of the hotel is pretty luxurious and the breakfast was great. I look forward to coming back to California and staying here again.

Beautiful hotel. Courteous staff. The breakfast is fabulous. The only downside—hardly worth knocking off even half a star—was no 24/7 coffee service in the lobby. But there's coffee and tea in-room, so that's OK. I just wanted another cup when I was leaving at 4 a. M. The atrium was a great place to sit and work awhile. I even found a power outlet. ;).
