Such a clean, friendly place to stay! The pool, hot tub and fire pit are so relaxing and well kept. The rooms are comfortable! Quick drive to the beach. We absolutely enjoyed our time here! We will stay here again!

Enjoy this place lots of areas to eat and shop.

3 times last night coffee was empty this morning try to get coffee and none there in breakfast room and not allowed til 630 to get any wont be back to this place again will stay at LaQuinta when I am here.

So I was down stairs for the complimentary breakfast with my sister and we put in our order before a huge crowd came and we ended up being the last to be served wat great customer service…

Hey Clarion Inn & Suites Orange County John Wayne Airport,! We really enjoyed our 2 nights, felt like a mini vacation in itself. Me and the husband thoroughly enjoyed your spot in Austin. Bed was amazing, snacks and bathroom were awesome too. Made us feel at home, owners and staff super sweet, helpful. Going to recommend to friends.

Person at the front desk was very understanding considering we showed up close to midnight check-in was a breeze everything went great.

Great stay for the price. I expect that the upgrades that were in the progress of being complete during my stay will be a great addition for if I stay here in the future. The breakfast was a nice switch up from what I'd expect from a hotel and the food options throughout the day were helpful for when I didnt want to drive out. There was also a friendly cat during my stay that made it all the more fun for my group during meals. All in all pretty satisfied and would definitely stay again.

This little place was great. We loved our stay with them. The overall experience definitely makes me want to reccomend the motel to others. They were doing some updating and the restroom by the pool and lobby were not available so I had to take my grandkids up to our room on the 3rd floor to potty. Guest services did a fabulous job. Clean, great breakfast, outdoor seating, pool and hot tub outside and very clean.

Staff was super friendly! Clean, cozy, and updated rooms! The location was also great, and the shuttle to the district and airport!

I was sorely disappointed. They told me over the phone I could give them my credit card initially, but pay upon check-out. Then when I physically went there they denied having said such a thing. Tried to charge my card full price up front, and it was declined. I never got to even see a room! If they had done what they clearly said over the phone, I would have had no problem. (When I called I asked repeatedly if it was okay for me to pay upon check-out, and they repeatedly said it would be fine. When I arrived in person, it suddenly was a different story. The ("lady"? ) said oh, no, none of our people would say that. I know they did say it; I was there! ) I wound up having to scramble to find another place to stay. I would give the Clarion zero stars If I could!

Very clean! Spacious rooms and stairs, halls. Had a outside fire going on near the pool when I arrived at night. Cozy =)

Not bad. Certainly not great. Their idea of a breakfast bar is a joke. But the place is reasonably clean and not too bad.

The atmosphere, staff, and initial impression were very nice, but overall, it seems they don't have the budget for proper upkeep. There was a decent gap to outside when the exterior door was closed and locked. The AC unit was really, really loud and smelled bad, so we kept it off, but then it was too warm for a good night's rest. The faux leather on the office chair was peeling off. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open, but it also creaked like a jack hammer as it closed. The mattress on the pull-out couch was old and worn out. The mattress on the bed was ok, but not comfy. The heating for the pool and hot tub were also not working when we were there (April 6). If I could do it again, I definitely would pay just a little more and go somewhere else for a better night's sleep.

Clean and modern rooms, very good price, friendly staff. This place is close to the airport, Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. This is a good location to rest.

Stayed there last weekend. The room was clean, amenities were new and well kept, nice of the pool from the upstairs. Breakfast was great, they made me a sandwich as per my request. I'll stay there again for my next visit in the vicinity.

Little slow getting breakfast in the morning. Even though it backs the tunes from the airport and we were having the airport, it wasn't as loud as I imagined it would be. In fact, it never woke to up.

Finally got to see Doheny beach. I'm having a GREAT time. Bucket list. Plus I'm a Doheny. Love it!

Good complimentary breakfast, rooms are clean, has most amenities. TV has limited channels. Has parking available. Decent place for a short weekend trip.

Wonderful hotel. Nice clean big rooms. Very friendly staff. Make sure you get a burger from the cafe, it's delicious and the young lady behind the counter is awesome. She cares about the clients and it shows. I'll be back.

Rooms are nice… good room service… extremely noisy, very little control is offered by guest services… Noisy befire 7, and after 11…. Don't expect to sleep. Of note, all rooms face the pool area which amplifies the sound.

It is comfortable clean and very quiet.

Room my clean, fridge that worked. The beds were more or memos. I liked the Jacuzzi and campfire.

Nice enough for the price. Bed was a little soft and saggy, the TV was small. Easy parking. The free breakfast was ok but minimal. Nice area for sitting outside at night. It's SoCal, so it's almost always nice outside.

Nice and clean, very close to the John Wayne Airport. Nestled amongst other hotels — very safe feeling. Staff was friendly and helpful.

When I ask for a no smoking room and my room smells of smoke for me it is something unacceptable. All the reviews talk about a clean hotel but come on guys what are your standards? Maybe the linen were clean (I hope) but everything else was not ok. I found spiders and other bugs. Stains on chair and table. Stains on lamps and bedside tables. Noisy fan in the washroom. Forget to sleep if someone talks outside your room because you can hear even the wind blowing. Two stars out of five is a gift. I don't give one out of five just because there is something even worse than this out there. Not a good hotel if you travel for business.

Don't take my opinion as something to base your decision off of because I didn't stay for long. I was just visiting a friend who was staying there. From what I experienced though it was pleasant. Not a lot of noise and commotion. The room was spacious and furniture was big and roomy. Bathroom was nicely sized as well. Room was also cleaner than most places I've stayed at. Can't tell you anything about the pricing cuz I did not ask. Overall, it was a very comfortable and VERY spacious room. I'd stay there over and over again if I needed a place in that area often.

Excellent service and amazing prices. Had an instance with a dirty room/slow Wi-Fi on the backside, the front desk very politely moved me to another room. Excellent customer service overall, fully recommend for an economical stay!

The rooms are very neat and clean. Loved staying here, it's not your ordinary hotel room. Didn't find any problem with the services they provided.

Good location. Clean but unexciting room. Believe it was a remodeled hotel. All rooms are accessable from the outside. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was limited but they would cook you something but you had to pay for it. Was good value for the money.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were better than average for a Clarion. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. Great seating area with a fire, Jacuzzi and a decent sundries store.

Thin walls and loud plumbing. The AC in my room was vibrating very loudly. I kept hearing some door slamming. The bathroom fan vibrates and always turns on with the lights. They won’t refund my unstayed nights. Stay away.

Clarion Suites Hotel is a nice comfortable relaxation to kick back watch cable TV go swimming in the pool relaxing jacuzzi, breakfast in the morning with hot coffee was spent ocular I really liked it.

Convenient, freeway-adjacent place. Clean. Some parts seem a little dated while others, mainly the pool and commons/firepit area look new. Bathroom is nice, and the AC worked well. Our bed was really bouncy, and kinda fun, it also held up well under a considerable burden! Not a destination hotel, but if you're visiting OC for some other reason it's perfectly adequate and comfortable.

Friendly staff. Free breakfast available until 11am. Checkout is at Noon. Pool and Jacuzzi was clean. The only bad thing was the noise level outside of the next doors opening and closing was really loud. But besides that everything else was great. Parking is included in the rate of the room.

Close to airport. Close to UC Irvine. Clean and fairly quiet.

Quit place and nice/safe neighborhood… had a great stay… breakfast rules have tightened since new management but it's alright… close to Newport beach and Laguna beach… not so much to downtown L. A. Definitely need a rental car…

If you want a nice place to stay at a reasonable price choose the Clarion Hotel, John Wayne Airport. Rooms were clean, friendly front desk, free shuttle here and there, pool, jacuzzi, firepit and workout room.

I had an issue with a leaky shower head. It was fixed promptly. The employees were very polite.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this hotel. The rooms are renovated and looks quite nice on the inside. Free breakfast too (includes an option for a hot breakfast sandwich). The only downside is that when I wanted to take a shower at 2:00 am, there was no hot water!

Place just completed a remodel and made extraordinary efforts to be a great destination.

I only give star away for the elevator out, dirty main elevator, and dirty hall floors. BUT staff is amazing! Especially Jesus and Diedrick! The cafe has the best breakfast that is provided. The most amazing thing is the BBQ wings! BEST I have had!

Nice clean rooms. OK breakfast but long wait to breakfast crowding to order and wait about 10 minutes for the food. No organized too well. Nice premises. Pool and hot tub.

Good location that is central in Orange county. Easy access from freeways and airport. Hotel is likely 30+ years old but has a number of upgrades. Rooms are somewhat small but roomy enough for the price. Newish carpet and fake hardwood in the entry. Doors and hardware inside are very old. TV is flat screen but rather small. Desk chair is a $20 staples office chair that is 10+ years old. Bed is rather old but nothing that is uncomfortable. Refrigerator and microwave provided. Bummed that breakfast is not included. Bistro in the lobby with good prices for the convenience.

Since it was my first time visiting this hotel and laverdad I imagine that was quite carisimo but when they hear the price. I said woo the price of the lp compare with other hotels and the difference was only of l5dolares more. Because it's worth it because it is very clean, the hotel rooms are quite grandesla bed or tell you sleep so comfortable keno kieres, or have visitors waking up the next day are all very clean and have a good cleaning staff the do I qualify with a 10 huge, I recommend to visit the CLARION hotel. They will love it I say.

Great location, next to interstate intersections and airport and in a central area of many attractions like Disneyland and the aquarium of the pacific. The high speed Internet, clean rooms, and amenities for the very affordable price make it a great choice for a place to stay.

Woke up at 3am to a burglar in my room. He stole my buddies' phone and wallet. He had a female accomplice waiting outside and It probably was one of the cleaning ladies in on the job. When the front desk heard of the news, all they said was "I'm so sorry, did you call the police? This motel has by far the worst security system and I will never stay in this place again. Talk about a lack of respect for their own customers.

Its a work in progress. Hotel is still in the process of being remodeled so many of the outside walls are different colors. Price was affordable and you get what you pay for. But overall hotel will be comfy once its all done. Might change my rating once I stay again and all is done. Pillows are amazing…

I have to say this was the absolute worst hotel stay I've ever experienced in my life and that says a lot due to the fact that I've stayed in over 500 hotels! There was construction going on all over the hotel so no matter what room you stayed in there was going to be construction. Unfortunately, my 8 month old got sick during our stay and I was traveling without my husband for a whole week. We came at 3pm for check-in and the lady at the front desk was completely rude to me saying there were no rooms available, so my child and I had to wait for a room to be ready. The first room they put us in there was horrible noise due to the construction and huge machinery outside so I asked for another room since I had a child that sleeps during the day. The gentleman at the front desk was again very rude and said they were all sold out for the night and to deal with it! I asked to speak with a manager which she then got me another room for my stay! Sold out huh?!?! The construction was going on literally right outside my door in the second room they gave me, so it was virtually impossible for me to get my stroller/luggage in/out of the hotel room or for my child to sleep, specially when she was sick. Will never recommend this hotel. Extremely horrible and rude staff with no compassion whatsoever!
