Dirtiest and run down place! charge us 90 bucks.

Well we were traveling through and the La Quinta at our home is very nice and definitely worth the price so generally we thought it would be the same. Oh boy were we wrong! Made a reservation for 4 rooms all in the same name at the exact same time. One was upstairs but the other three were downstairs? Then 3 out of the 4 bathrooms were disgusting couldn’t even take a shower it was so nasty. Our room had a cracked plug-in in the bathroom like someone actually put a fork in it. The sheets aren’t actually fitted sheets and there were burn holes in blankets and stains everywhere including the ceiling?! Definitely don’t recommend!

Www. Laquinta. Com Had the worst experience ever with them. They put me, my 6 month yr old baby and 73 yr old grandma in a nasty hotel with no elevator. The rooms were dirty. Our first room a/c didn't work… the mattress was on backwards and the covers had blood on em… the service was horrible they refused to bring clean covers to the room and joked about my grandmother having to walk upstairs… never stay at the La Quinta in Decatur al off the beltline. Never book with they wouldn't do anything about my experience. Not even 5%off.

Everything was fine until you walked in the room and ac made this very loud sound that would drive you crazy. The staff was nice enough to move us to another room. No problems after that until I went to use the Wi-Fi and I couldn't get on at all during the day or evening hours. I even ask to have the routers reset to if I could get on. No such luck using the Wi-Fi.

Stayed here for Seminar. Staff is excellent and very helpful from check-in to check-out, Attentive and friendly staff. Nice motel location. Very clean. Awesome breakfast area. Nice to walk around and find some quick bites.

I just stayed at this location 2 days ago. It was deplorable! Upon entering, the smell was awful! One of the beds, when we turned the comforter back, had dried blood stains on it. We had to ask for housekeeping to put clean sheets on the bed. I took a shower and walked from the bathroom to the bed and the carpet was so dirty, the bottom of my feet were black. We pulled out the sleeper sofa and the bottom of the mattress was stained (which looked liked someone had messed in the bed). At this point, we decided to pull up the sheets and discovered the mattres was rotted, torn and dirty. It had a thin foam pad on it that was stuck to the mattress. We complained and had to be moved to another room. Don’t stay here!

These rooms are amazing, and the staff was so friendly. Makes you wanna come back and enjoy another stay.

Rooms were comfortable and they allow dogs and the free breakfast had some nice choices including waffles, eggs and yogurt. Allowing dogs is great. The downside, no elevators and our room had an odd smell to it.

Nice clean rooms at good prices and the staff was very friendly.

Obviously a hastely-remodeled older building. Uneven floors. Bathroom doorknob about to fall off. Didn't look like room fire sprinkler would work. No elevator. All breakfast bar utensils were in individual plastic sleeves unnecessarily. Customer service was ok, but could've definitely been better.

Would give 0 stars if possible! Staying here with a soccer club for a weekend tourney, upon arrival front desk clerk continued with a personal phone call, our room smelled of mildew and mold (others smelled like smoke), no linens for pull out couch in room, cigarette burns in our king bed linens, black mold in bathroom ceiling, patches in the ceiling that looked like they’d given a 2 yr old putty, no pool towels by the pool, uncomfortable bed… and to top it all off there’s an unposted policy about lobby use is for breakfast only. No one is to use the lobby because it’s inconvenient for staff to have to clean it for breakfast the next day per the night clerk who claimed to be a general manager. This after we had been in the lobby most of the morning and afternoon and then back for us to share a meal as a team. This is my first and last stay at a la Quinta, a call to corporate will be made.

Check in staff very friendly. Rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. Pool was on the small side but was still good to relax after a day of traveling. Wi-Fi was great. Lots of choices in nearby restaurants and deliveries. Breakfast was good. They do have a snack area and fitness center.

Value = 3, breakfast = 3, service = 4, location = 4, cleanliness = 1. To be fair I've averaged all the scores. The carpet in my room seems to have never been cleaned, it made my clean socks dirty and the shower curtain was mildewey.

The view was of a parking lot and the rooms didn't smell very good so we bought air fresheners. The fridges didn't cool things very well. The bed met what we needed it for but it wasn't anything special. No elevator. The pool is outdoor and was closed. The fruit was varied in quality but the breakfast was decent.

Clean and very reasonably priced. Good breakfast. Main complaint which seems to be almost hotel/motel rooms is there isn't enough light.

My stay was alright here. I gave it a 3 star because I was given keys to a dirty room to start which was kind of a turn off. Also, it is dog friendly; however, cleaning staff was afraid of dogs and wouldn’t come anywhere near our room. I wouldn’t recommend it; however, it was a place to stay after a long day of driving.

It was terrible, the bed in my first room looked like someone just crawled out of it, the sheet was up on the corner, & the mattress pad was so dirty, with cigarettes burns, the pillow cases looked like they had oil on them. The next 2 rooms was some better but not much, it was 3:30 in the morning, so I did choose to stay in the second room I looked at, only because I couldn't drive any further. I slept in my clothes, & left as soon as I awoke.

The room has comfortable beds and pillows. What I found was a very nasty room. I did a short video of just how dirty this room was. The floors and carpet turned our socks black. My 7year old, the bottom of her feet was black. The sheets had body hair on them. On my video, I pointed out some of the area's. I took a white wet cloth. I wiped down a random place on the vinyl floor. If was filthy. We was on the second floor. In room 226. I used a different part of the white towel. With a clean part I wiped across the top of the mirror it was nasty, at the top of the doors it was black and nasty. The carpet was nasty. I am going to post this video, but I am not going to tell which hotel I was in. My stay was for two nights. My reason for staying, was our child 7th Birthday. I just want people to understand what they are paying for. I do understand that hotels missed used. The places I marked on the video, is unacceptable. Clean sheets is a must. The air in the rooms have no sent, which is fine. People that clean these rooms need to be taught a few steps about cleaning. I catch many hotels carring filth. These rooms have not been cleaned in a very long time. If you want to see the video before I post it, would be glad to share it.

I don’t think the two-room jetted tub king suite has been truly cleaned in a long time. We had to go to Dollar General and buy some Clorox wipes for door knobs, toilet, sink, remote, surfaces. We felt more comfortable wearing socks in the shower. Bedding and towels were all stained (or unwashed? ). Breakfast was not good. We were in a great mood and we’re going to use this for a laugh in the future. Otherwise, we would have not stayed.

First of all the staff was very helpful. Second, when we booked, I forgot that the chain allows animals. While my room was OK, after being in the lobby for a while, I started to have RX's to the animal dander. Itching throat, sniffling, eyes burning, etc. Now I know people want to travel with their pets, but some of us can't handle the dander left behind. The lobby looked clean, however. I just have to be more careful in the future.

Two old stories, with no elevator. Our white comforter had stains on it. Old couch, wouldn't dare sit on it. We didn't even have fitted sheets on the bed. They had a regular sheet that they tucked around the mattress. And don't get me started on how you had to change the channel. I attached a picture so you can see for yourself. Definitely not impressed, to say the least, with this hotel, only good thing I can say, was that we didn't see any bugs.

Only think I did like was I Reserved for a queen size bed and when I got there they only had double twins.

Very affordable. Friendly staff. And very friendly management. Definitely recommend.

Checked in but didn't stay. Mildew and rust all over the a. C. Unit. Many dogs in hotel so was bark-y. The lady at the desk was pleasant.

The employees were very nice and very accommodating. Allowing me to even exchange rooms without a significant up charge or convenience fee. The room was clean and in order. No disturbances. My wife and I were very comfortable there. We will stay again.

My family stayed here for a week, we were very pleased with the clean rooms/restrooms and friendliness of the staff. They also offer free breakfast and reasonable prices for their rooms, I would definitely use their services again.

Nicest la Quinta I've stayed at in a while. Most seen to be under construction. This oh is nice.

Smelled pretty weird and musty in the room. Smelled like weed in the hallway. Not even the good kind either. Gross. Staff is nice though, and helpful.

At ll pm trying to check in, clerk tells us one price then when we go to pay with cash, oh no ti get that price you have to use credit card, so the price goes up plus extra 50.00 and breakfadt was nasty. The bed was comfortable and it was fairly clean in the room.

The hotel location was really close to our event. The rooms was very nice. The pull out bed had no support. The service here was very helpful and relaxed.

Tried three rooms and all three were water damaged/mold infested. While willing to allow us the switch rooms, on the third try we decided to depart, expecting all rooms damaged. When we attempted to check out for health reasons, after spending an hour and a half hauling bags between rooms, we were told neither​ the night manager or the owner would refund us the value of the room we did not use. Would not use again. UPDATE: Next day owner contacted us to apologise and offered us a refund.

Great place especially since my dogs could stay they are my babies and if they can't stay neither can! I work for Sonic Automotive and I'll be letting everyone know at corp office how great my stay was so some of the 10, 000 people we employee know how great is was and they can bring their fur babies!

It was a very nice hotel and very clean rooms. The woman at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Great customer service and very helpful. Fridge and microwaves in the rooms. Many restaurants nearby and most were within walking distance. You got 25% off Sam's bar and grill which was very good and was in the same parking lot of the hotel. Also got 10% off at Applebee's and Chili's. Will definitely go back whenever I'm near Decatur. The outside pool was nice and the breakfast was good. Just wish they had eggs and sausage but did have biscuits and gravy if you like hot items.

Called to book 2 rooms with jacquzzi. When I called they had 4 rooms left with jacquzzi. I got one room booked and then they hung up on me. It took me 12 calls and 10 of those calls were answered and then the front desk guy hung up on me 10 times! We got there and they only had one more room with a jacquzzi so we took it. We asked why they kept hanging up on us and the man said I was busy. We got to our room, the fridge, blow dryer, and heat doesnt work. We asked for room maintance and the maintance man wasnt there. The front desk came and looked at our heater and said we can either move you to a different room or give you a discount. We told him we would take the discount because we absolutely wanted out room because it was the last one that had a jacquzzi. When we wanted to get in the jacquzzi brown flakes came out of the jets. We just decided to go to sleep. We froze all night. Woke up the next morning at 8 and checked out. We asked for our discount and he said he would have to call the owner and would give us a call back. We get back to our hometown and the owner wouldnt refund us nothing so we asked to speak to her and she said she didnt have time for us. Never again will we ever go to such a ridiculous place. Poor service.

Wi-Fi isn't great, but the people are. It's not much, but you will sleep sheltered from the elements in comfort.

Worst ever stay at LQ's (Been plenty of them) rooms were dirty and in disrepair. Sheets had stains on them, bed skirt nasty. Complained at front desk about cigarette smoke smell in room. Got the Oh well. Had my sisters and mother with us and was bragging how you did not have to worry about a LQ as they are always clean, What an embarrassment, Only hot food was waffles. Saw billboard going to the motels for $54.95 per room, when checking in was informed you must have a coupon to get that rate. (Available locally). LQ should be embarrassed by just having their name on this one. Really stay away for find a $39.00 motel you will have a better experience at Decatur, IL. Don't normally report on these but this one deserves it.

If I could give zero stars I would. I reserved 3 rooms. I checked in at 2:45, was given keys that were on the "Quick Check In" wall. Only 1 of the three rooms was clean. Dog food and everything on the floor in one, the other bedding stripped off the bed. I later went to complain or see if I could get a discount, I was lied to and told that the check in time isn't until 4! Another lie! Check in is at 3:00! Really? I would have appreciated it if I was told upfront that the rooms were not ready. Instead, I was given a key as if they were! I called back and was given an apology and was told… well the house keeper said that only one room was not ready and that they cleaned it in 10 minutes! Another lie! I guess you get what you pay for! I don't recommend anyone stay here!

This hotel is very clean. Small units hotel but very nice. Hotel staff was helpful. Affordable Rate compare to other hotels. I will be back!

Did not even complete the check in process! The 2 employees at the front desk advised our business group that our rooms were on the 2nd floor but there was no elevator and then laughed when we asked for assistance with our luggage going up the stairs. The hotel smells horrid throughout and the rooms are worse than the hallways. They allowed us to "inspect" our rooms and we made the immediate decision to move to another hotel nearby.

Carpets are disgusting and the room smells funny but it'll do for the night. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were clean staff friendly oh I could complain about the dryer broke. But Will went out of his way to rewash dry and fold my clothes so I could go to the space center with my family. If I could give 10 stars I would will made a bad situation into a pleasant we will stay there again.

First room had burn holes on the bed sheets and hadn't been cleaned. We informed the front desk and they switched us rooms with no issues.

My daughter just returned from a team trip where they stayed at this hotel. Not only were the rooms filthy (there was a soiled pair of underwear on the floor, cigarette burns in the sheets, the room smelled like cigarettes, a dirty toilet seat), but she returned with BED BUGS. To add insult to injury one of the housekeepers (or somebody who had access to the rooms) stole one of the team member's Coach wristlets that contained $300! They had gone to eat and when they returned, their belongings were removed from their bed, piled on their floor, the beds had been made, and the item was missing. A police report was filed. Terrible.

WARNING WARNING: $90 for a room that should be $50 there's a dog kernel right next door and all the dog start barking non stop from the time the sun comes up. Ruined my early morning rest. I called yt? He front desk to complain and was told that they won't bark for long. Never get room 234. Over all this is a gutter of a hotel. Stay somewhere else.

Very dirty. Sheets and comforters were not clean. Stained and food marks on them. The floor was damp in spots and the room smelled horrible. We had to buy an air fresher for the ac unit. The TV did not function. Not to mention they advertise new rooms but that must have been from 30 years ago. Time for a new marketing team. Bottom line is don't stay here unless it's a last resort. The only up side was our pets stayed free.

We stayed at this location during the week of Memorial Day and the pool was CLOSED! Had I of known the pool was not going to be open, I would have chosen another hotel. We have children and a hotel with a pool is a big deal to us. They said something about not having the permit yet, so the pool could not open. I've never been to a hotel in the summer and the pool was not open. Also, I was given dingy (gray) wash cloths the first night. I did not use them. They did not have any clean ones at the front desk. The next morning, I tracked down a housekeeper on the second floor and exchanged the dingy rags for some cleaner (white) ones. Even though some of the rooms were updated, some parts were not. I have stayed at LQs before and made my reservation at this property based on those previous stays. The pictures on the site were not as detailed, so I had no way of knowing about the chipped paint, the cracks in the walls, and the bathroom doorknob that did not fit. We will go back to Decatur, but we will not stay at this LQ again.

Very dirty and smelled of mold and mildew. We checked in and IMMEDIATELY checked right back out to head to the Marriot right down the road. The staff was helpful and understanding though. Refunded our money and gave us no hassle about wanting a refund. We have stayed at plenty of La Quinta's, and they are usually very good. This one is just very outdated and dirty. They don't even have an elevator.

Best hotel bed ever! Very clean room, good sevice, and great price. Not sure why all the negative posts from others. Will stay here again when in this area.
