Wonderful hotel! Room 109 is large and very clean. Mirrors and lighting run the length of the room. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. It is nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was amazing. It is nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. My experience was awful. When I got to the hotel I asked the front desk to let me see the room before he actually charged my card. He let me see the room, and I was like I don't want to stay. However, he said since I made reservations and didn't cancel 24 hours in advance my card would be charged if I don't stay. I agreed to stay because I didn't want to give away my money. After pulling back the sheets they was so dirty. It looked like some kids had jumped on the bed with they shoes on. I told the front desk about the issue. He told me about 50 people use these sheets so they are going to stain after so many uses. I have stayed at a lot of hotels, and I have never seen anything like this. I had to go to the front desk multiple times just to get a pair of clean sheets. Out the three sets of sheets he gave me only one pair was clean. Not only did I have to walk down the stairs multiple times I change the sheets myself. Oh it's no elevator. After getting the sheet situation together I decided to shower before bed. It was mold all over the shower curtain. I just left the shower curtain open and showered. After getting in bed for the night I itched all night. I didn't get no sleep kids running in the halls all night, and adults laughing and talking loud at 3am. I will NEVER stay here again. This place is nasty the walls and the carpet is dirty.

STAY AWAY! Rundown and disgusting carpets, walls, and virtually all the furniture is damaged or broken. First room smelled like smoke so bad, that even the evening manager’s head rocked back when she opened the door. The second, had a toilet that wasn’t bolted down safely. At that point, I just decided that enough was enough! 3.5% rating is an absolute lie of an evaluation for this poorly managed hotel. Older hotels managed correctly, age with grace if kept up, cleaned, and maintained. This place is not safe and a disgrace to the Wyndham franchise!

Nice clean rooms. Only issue was they called me about makeup on the towels. Said they had to throw them away. Felt a little rude. I have never had that happen and my make comes out of my towels at home. Usually bleach does the trick.

Room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Stayed one night. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. My wife enjoyed it as well.

Toilet ran all night, but was told maintenance was unavailable. Pipes in wall rattled loudly when other rooms used the bathroom. Good breakfast for the price.

It was clean, affordable and breakfast was good but I wish their website would have mentioned that not all rooms include a microwave. I really hated having to walk all the way down to the lobby to use a microwave while juggling all my hot food back to my room. Not having a microwave or coffee machine in a room is not fun. : (

This hotel was a great place to stay away from home. My room was clean and I had plenty of towels. The hotel provides breakfast and it was delicious biscuits and gravy. It was really quiet to be so booked up for the events in town that weekend. I totally recommend this place.

Have no microwave in the room does have a frigerator lot of broken item air conditioner only works on high room is clean though.

Add $10.00 to the Expedia price if you bring a pet. This place is more "pet-tolerant" than "pet-friendly". Added $10.00 after we'd already paid through Expedia, and made it very clear that they really don't like pets here. No coffee-maker in room. Next time we'll return to trusty old Red Carpet in Opelika. It might be old but it really is pet-friendly and the service is great there.

Would not stay there again. Door to room appeared to have been broken into before. Non smoking room amelled of smoke. Carpet dirty and torn. Couch had probably never been cleaned. Discusting.

Front desk service is worth next to nothing. Utterly appalling how the owner has been unable to train someone who's sole job is to help customers and not frustrate them. The hotel itself is fair and not eye catching or noteworthy at all. However for the small price that it was it was worth it.

Rude staff, dirty rooms. Requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. Was told the hotel was completely booked even though it wasn’t so our room couldn’t be changed. Stains on EVERYTHING! Cigarette burns everywhere. Worst experience EVER!

This hotel is conveniently located just a couple miles by campus and close to Walmart for any last minute needs. The rooms were clean and didn't feel cramped. Complimentary breakfast was fine as expected. Overall I feel like I got a good stay I was promised.

About three days ago myself, my girlfriend and her 5 year old had to evacuate due to Hurricane Katrina. We decided to drive to Tennessee where our closest friend stays for the duration of the storm. After spending many hours on the road we decided to stop in Columbus, Georgia to find a hotel and much to our dismay and annoyance with ourselves for not planning better, there were no vacancies at all, in the entire city. So, after phone calls to approximately 25 hotels in the surrounding area, we discovered the Microtel in Auburn, Alabama with 1 queen sized bed in a smoking room. Being the only thing available we jumped on the opportunity. The front desk manager handled my information quickly and efficiently and asked where I was in relation to the hotel. I had asked him if there was any other options besides the single Queen. He regretfully informed me that this was the only option. Once arriving at 12am I met the man that I had spoke with on the telephone. He informed me that he had immediately put an ozone machine in the room in order to remove as much as the smell as possible even without my asking. He walked us to the room and retrieved the machine as well as present our miniature road warrior with a couple muffins and cookies. The window sill had a book nook with a cushion that was the perfect size for a 5 year old to sleep on.

Front desk staff is incredibly nice and the room clean when we arrived. The price was increased for a football game but otherwise a decent value.

Clean place, smaller rooms but nice. The bed was super uncomfortable. My husband an I woke up with body aches it was that bad. You could tell as soon as you laid down it was bad. Breakfast was ok an well stocked. Nice an quiet area. Would stay again if they got new comfortable beds.

They changed extra for a non smoking room. Breakfast was decent but didn't have any eggs like you'd expect. Cereal, biscuit and gravy, sausage, juice, milk and hot waffles. Toaster but no bread to toast. Staff was friendly and our room was clean.

Good price. Friendly staff. Free breakfast! The only problem I had was that the tub wasn't draining properly, which I didn't notice until the morning. I let them know when I checked out and they said they'd take care of it. Smooth stay overall. Good location and plenty of places to eat in the area.

I've stayed here few times over the last 4 months and the service was fantastic every time. It's a tidy hotel with interior room entry. It's clean spacious with comfortable beds and well placed furnishings. I usually clean my own room to meet my standards but it's great when most of the work is already done. The Wi-Fi was great I was able to stream Netflix and xfinity with no interruption. The breakfast is better than most but not restaurant quality. The selection is good: meat, eggs, gravy, biscuits, and your basic fruit and cereal. I slept well and I felt comfortable every time I stayed here and to me that is all you can ask for in a hotel. After all it's isn't home. The rates vary depending on if the school is having events and so on but I've found their non-peak rates more than reasonable. Feel free to book without hesitation.

Hotel is affordable and had a nice breakfast provided. Employees are nice. However, be aware that the hotel is pet friendly, so in my case there was a puppy yapping in the room below us. Fortunately it quieted down for most of the night, but was still irritating and cost us some sleep.

The location was convenient. Decent amount of parking available behind the inn and the checking in and check out process is pretty good with no time wasted. The room itself was really good and was elated to see the features and comfort for the price. Clean, well ventilated and cozy room. Definitely a good option to check out if you're in need of accommodation in the area.

The room was bigger and nicer than I expected from the reviews. Breakfast was great. Best place for your dollar to stay for a football weekend in Auburn.

I have stayed here a few times over the years, usually get a Queen room or a Suite even, and have never been paid over $75/night, even during the 2013 Iron Bowl. Wanted to book a room for one or two nights in Sept. And the prices are 3x higher than normal starting at $260 for 2 star hotel (football game is away)! (For reference 3 and 4 star hotels in the area are around $150 or less during this same time period. ) The price increase is outrageous!

I am only giving this 1 star because I can't give it ZERO. Avoid this place unless you have no other choice at all! This place is a disgusting filth pit. There is grease and dirt and filth all over the stairwells and doors in the common areas. The place reeks of cigarette smoke everywhere. There is no elevator to get to the second floor, so it you have heavy luggage, you better be in shape. This room was booked through Hotwire and they did not tell Hotwire it was only smoking in that hotel. I don't know any non smoker who'd be OK with that. Especially if you're allergic to it or don't want all of your clothes to reek of cigarettes. The room was so gross. The sheets were dirty, the towels in the bathroom were dirty. The storage closet was broken and falling apart. The sitting area around the window was peppered with burn holes and filth. The windows were so dirty with dried sneeze/cough spray and what appeared to be grease you could barely see out of them. Paint was chipping and falling off the walls and door jambs everywhere. And if that wasn't enough, then there was the jackass at the front desk, Mike Patel. He was RUDE as hell! When I told him we weren't staying in that room, he didn't give one crap and basically said get out if I didn't like it. Then he REFUSED to print us a check out form that we were leaving. He pretended to be on the phone and ignored me for almost 10 minutes.

We had a very pleasant stay! Nice size rooms, everything we needed and very accomodating for our baseball team. The owner/manager was VERY nice and helpful with everything we needed! We all said we would love to stay there again.

While the room is smaller than normal, it was pleasant and clean. A really good value considering its lower room rate.
