The Village Backpackers Hostel

I stayed at the Village Backpackers both at the start and the end of my Tongan adventure. It is very well located, reasonably priced, has powerful showers and very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend the Village to other travellers. Make sure you also check out their property in Vava'u!

This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. Mia and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are very sweet. I will definitely stay there again!

Mia went out of her way to help with anything and everything. Had a great stay here! The food was super cheap and really nice, one of a few places you can eat on a sunday when everywhere else is closed.

A great cafe (part of backpackers) hidden behind the ANZ bank. The wait was a little long but the food was worth it!

For 30 per Night (11Euros or 13USD) a perfect clean place in the middle of the Town. Bathroom Toilet in good and clean condition. The stuff helpfully and friendly. The food from the kitchen delicious and affordable. A big thanks and a hug to all of you. Don't use the booking platform walk in or check Fakebook vor the Email.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Tonga, this is it! In a great location close to shops, local bars, restaurants and the ferry, with it's own café serving everything from tasty samosa's to Keke. Mia is an excellent host, making you feel part of the family from day one, the rooms are really comfortable and the showers are the best I've had since leaving home. There's even a shuttle to and from the airport. The perfect place to base yourself to explore this beautiful island.
