Super friendly staff. Great location close to Marina for swimming trip. Car rental option was very convenient with airport pickup. Kids loved the pool it was good to practice swimming before going to swim with whales.
This place has been nothing but amazing, was definitely a home away from home! The service and warm hospitality here is unmatched, always checking on us and kindly making sure we had everything we needed for our days of activity. They were really helpful, even with organising rental cars for a great price and the facilities were perfect for our stay that we decided to come back there on the 2nd half of our Tonga trip.
During the beginning of my trip, Air-NZ withheld my luggage at the Auckland airport and the gentleman, Mana at the resort took the matter out of our hands and would tirelessly contact them (which is quite a difficult a thing to do communicating overseas), ensuring that our stay was worry-free. He even gave me some Tongan attire to wear (Tupenu) since I wanted to visit a Tongan church.
I was very pleased at how we were treated at Papiloa's and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay. It's by the beach and a few minutes walk to some bars and restaurants.
