We had a great stay at Hotel Savoy in Bern this past summer. The room was a perfect size for two people, and the layout was quite spacious for a European hotel room. The decor, bed, and amenities were all great. The bed and pillows in particular were extremely comfortable, and it was very easy to fall asleep. The hotel is a perfect location and a close walk to everything in and near the center of Bern. The staff was extremely helpful and showed us around and made many good recommendations for us. We definitely look forward to staying at Hotel Savoy again. One of our favorite hotels in Europe for sure.

Our stay was really enjoyable. We had an excellent service from the reservation to our departure. We enjoyed the free water and coffee too. The closeness to the train station and the old city was perfect. Thank you. We highly recommend your hotel!

The hotel felt cramped for 45 days long stay. However, the decor was new therefore reasonably pleasant. The best part was that most staff were very polite and helpful. The housekeeping ladies, the front desk staff and the breakfast ladies were very courteous. The long stay was much to bear but we managed thanks to some good staff care.

First, the staff was very nice. They answered any questions and were helpful with guiding us to our interested sights. Nice hotel room. Very well appointed and clean. It can be a little noisy near the street, so request a room in the back. Would stay again.

The best ever I can say … lovely & friendly Staff, neat rooms and great location.

I was in Bern for a work trip and wanted somewhere conveniently located, near to the train station and within walking distance to food options. Couldn’t have been more pleased to put up at Hotel Savoy. The rooms were clean and well furnished, everything looked like it was new. The hotel staff were friendly and very warm. I would definitely recommend Hotel Savoy to my friends and am looking forward to returning soon. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Very nice hotel, within 5 min of the main train station; extremely friendly staff, very welcoming. I got a room upgrade and stayed in a very spacious comfort room, with separate toilet and shower; coffee and tea making facilities. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, otherwise everything was great.

Hotel is very modern and room was good. However the windows were locked shut and the air conditioning didn't work. We asked for it to be checked and were told to our surprise that Swiss Law did not allow aircon to be too cool! Frankly it spoiled what could otherwise have been a comfortable stay. Luckily the weather cooled down and the room was just about bearable. We are fairly regular travellers to Bern but won't stay in the Savoy again.

Spent 5 nights there whilst touring the canton. Superior room on the 4th floor was extremely comfortable. Every member of staff was polite helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is buffet style with good choice. A little noise from the street in the night of the Friday night but otherwise just "city noises" in the night. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel, the room had everything one needs and more, super clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was top notch! Besides it’s walking distance to main attractions in the city! Highly recommended!

Out of all hotels I stayed at in Switzerland, this one was my favourite. Savoy Bern is a simple, yet stylish hotel with great location. Savoy got clean and quite rooms, friendly staff and they serve a great little breakfast buffet. I would like to say thank you and I will recommend your hotel in Bern.

Great hotel with quite rooms, a central location, friendly stuff and simple yet stylish breakfast buffet. Very smooth stay and easy going. It is not a hotel with unnecessary facilities. It is chic a easy going city hotel.

It was by chance that we chose this hotel and it was a nice surprise. We were upgraded to a superior room. Great, large, very spacious, bright, very well equipped, quiet, modern. A beautiful bathroom.
The staff is very nice and attentive. The breakfast was very good. Even if the hotel does not have its own parking, there is one nearby.
The only average score is for the use of Wi-Fi, limiting the number of connections and the amount of data.
We would definitely stay at this great hotel.

Very nice room with Nespresso machine. Central location.

The room was clean, the breakfast extensive. We found the rain forest shower in our room particularly impressive. Top is also the location of the hotel, especially from the central station. The city centre to the bear ditch is very easy to reach in walking distance.

Overall very good (compared to the price). It's good that there's also a little bit of food late. For me, you are a very good pure hotel for business events.

Ideally located city hotel to explore Bern on foot as well as for trips to the Bernese Oberland or Lake Geneva.
Access to the loading and unloading possible, underground parking for a fee is nearby. Train station, tram, bus — all within a short distance.
Large, functional rooms with also large bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything necessary for the early morning tea available.
Good breakfast. Cosy lounge and bar with comfortable seating and daily newspapers. Possibility to sit outside too.

Absolutely 5 stars. We stayed here Jan 2018. The staff were friendly and our hotel room was great. Six weeks around Europe in 10 different cities and this was by far the best hotel. The room was spacious which is really appreciated with large luggage and had a few cool touches like the automatic blinds and push button shower. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good, and being Switzerland so expensive has a very good value for money, this next to the train station, close to downtown, is a newly remodeled hotel and this very well, is modern and very comfortable, it honors its 4 stars!

Extremely welcoming check-in experience. Mr. Boehm took care of making our stay comfortable giving us good suggestions about cultural and restaurant scene. The room at the 4. Floor was modern, clean and absolutely quiet. The location is very convenient as you can reach everything in walking distance.

Only stayed 2 nights but location was great, short walk to train station and close to everything. Room was nice, shower amazing. Only negatives would be bed size (queen quite small) and breakfast was average. Would return.

Conveniently located only a few steps from the main railway station and from the historic centre of Bern, the Hotel Savoy could hardly be better located. The room was nicely furnished, modern, clean and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent staff and location! 2 minutes walk from the Bern main train station, near many restaurants, and shopping places. Highly recommended for those who love convenience and nice hotel rooms!

The only downside is that it is not very economical but good when you go to Switzerland there everything is expensive.

Likes: Central location in the old town, very service-oriented staff (room change was immediate), HBF and shops/restaurants in the direct vicinity, tram and bus stop 2 min. Away, supermarket/department store/Backshop around the Corner (COOP), various inclusive services (WLAN, water, tram use, coffee/tea). Dislike: room to the street quite noisy (to the courtyard much quieter), upscale price level (typical ch, internet search recommended), no sauna, cleaning staff in the morning quite rude (note to reception helps).

Excellent hotel. Super well located in the center of Bern. The room is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Great bed, great shower. You also get a card that allows you to get all public transportation for free. We really enjoyed our stay and wanted to stay longer.

This hotel is so near the Bern train station, so it is extremely convenient as train travel was part of my itinerary. I was able to walk to the historic area, shopping and restaurants. Room is stylish, well-lit, roomy and comfortable. I believe we were given a room upgrade and it is much appreciated. Bathroom just the right size and shower stall roomy. The staff were welcoming and friendly; in fact, I arrived early in the morning ~9 and they said they would clean up a room and it would be ready in half an hour or so … I really appreciated this.

Great hotel! Rooms holds a good standard. Location is awesome. Price for breakfast is OK — however it is not cheap, but fair in regards to similar alternatives.

Nice & simple hotel. Homely feel, again breakfast is limited. We stayed for 6 nights in Savoy. Location is excellent right in front of railway & tram station. Very friendly staff. Avoid including breakfast.

Excellent! VERY short walk to Bahnhof (Train Station) and the Old Town. Clean, well appointed and the staff are SO professional, helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a wonderfully spacious room on the back side and it was so peaceful. Forget McDonalds and go to all the fabulous local restaurants nearby!

Completely renovated, nice rooms and clean.

Lovely hotel close to the train station. Everything in this hotel was new and clean with a wonderful bathroom. Staff were very polite and helpful and provide free travel pass for getting around the city.
