What's not to love? Great views, location and ship. We splashed out and stayed in the captain's cabin — what a treat! Brilliant place to stay.

A beautifully kept piece of sailing history that now acts as a hostel. Perfect location and view. Nice little bar on board and a restaurant, too. Stayed in one of the Officers’ cabins above deck. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in the hostel residing in the ship in May this year. The ship itself was brilliant, especially at night, though I feel I may not have spent enough time there to comment on any entertainment there was to offer on the ship. The location is perfect for touring Stockholm and access via nearby ferry ports is very handy. A breakfast buffet is available in the adjacent building where the main hotel is located. Though my stay was short, and may not have been at the most popular time of year, I felt like it was lacking in proper social areas on the ship which would have definitely made the stay all the more pleasurable. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would definitley be willing to stay again and recommend to anybody looking to do something different and interesting in Stockholm.

The hostel is very dirty, the kitchen unusable for dead mosquitoes on every corner of the kitchen and spiders on the walls. Mosquitoes and mosques have come out when they open the refrigerator. I waited to see if the cleaning lady would pass clean, the reality was that the lady passed but she only cleaned the plates not minding the hood infested with dead insects. Bathrooms were full of hair and with a filthy floor. The only thing they saved were the rooms not clean but acceptable to spend a single night there. The location is not great but easily accessible by the put from the central station.

The hostel is generally clean, and sometimes quiet. A great location, but with strange issues like broad windows into bathrooms with busy hills looking into them, secure doors are often left open frequently, and people bringing nonguests into rooms.

I was able to arrive at 11pm and there was a really nice woman at the check-in. They were overbooked so I got a bed in the boat next to the hostel which I though was exciting! I could see Gamla Stan and it's beautiful buildings from my little boat window. The boat was clean other than it had many spiders around the windows and on the ceilings. The hostel is cheap when you think that it is in the center with a good location near many sights. Maybe not for those who can't walk many stairs. If I ever come back, this is the hostel I will choose.

Perfect location in the centre of Stockholm at a budget price. Great view on the old town. Check out the bar at the deck and enjoy a snack from the kitchen. Perfect place to take some pictures.

Friendly staff and comfortable bunks. The rooms all felt very clean and there was great water pressure (even on the boat). Plus, the views were just incredible. Be sure to bring a face mask if you want to sleep during the short nights — no port hole shades.

The best accommodation in Stockholm ever. Super located with views of the opposite shore. Room or cabins must be said as befit a ship were spacious. Also great breakfast in the main house.

For sure the best spot to stay in Stockholm! Been given the best place on the boat, with awesome views, and even from my cabin! Walking distance to everywhere.

An old sailor converted into a youth hotel. Very stylish and very beautiful. For all who like the windjammer romance, who don't mind sleeping in bunk beds and sharing the bathroom with the neighbor. — The view of Stockholm is great from here.

The place to live in Stockholm! Sleeping in a 19th century boat with an unbeatable value for money without forgetting the welcome of the whole team.

Great location as it is on its own little quiet island but still in the middle of the city centre. Friendly staff. Needs a fresh layer of paint.

Small and cozy café and hostel with reasonable pricing on both food and drinks as well as the accommodation. Located in the literal heart of Stockholm on a small and beautiful island within walking distance from the Central station, Palace, "Djurgården" and many more spots. Good public transport for the lazies but really recommend considering taking a walk instead. Stockholm is beautiful.

Great place where to sleep in the city centre for really cheap! It is clean, the rooms can be shared with other travellers or you can have your own one.

If U lucky to get an outside cabin u really got the most fantastic view u could have of Sthlm! (PS! There are actually a few fantastic luxury cabins, i. E The Navigation Hytt, the Captains hytt…)

Great hostel, good breakfast, clean communal kitchen. Great experience, Super Central. Absolutely good.

Who can always watch that he gets room on the ship. There are disabled-accessible showers etc. But it should be clarified if there are possibilities with the wheelchair sensible to come into the ship the stairs I used was pretty darn steep.

Fantastisk beliggenhet og god historie om båten af Chapman. Båten er gammel så man kan ikke forvente top kvalitet men er bra som vandrerhjem. Frokost på vandrerhjemmet er god, men serverte ikke bacon. Alt I alt er dette et bra sted. Gangavstand til det aller meste. 5/7

Super nice staff! Clean rooms, great price and a wonderful view! The breakfast isn't too bad, and the hostel is close to the city center.

Awesome place on an island in the middle of Stockholm harbor. Epic waterfront strolls, I guess you could even go swimming, there are ladders up from the water! Awesome gardens, views of the Stockholm skyline and the giant cruise ship docs. They have a sit down cafe, wi fi, ice cream, you name it. Decent price for the middle of Stockholm. Walking distance to the subway, busses and monorail. Or you can take the ferry around Stockholm harbor! Nearby, you can catch a boat to pretty much anywhere in the Baltic Sea! This is a truly beautiful place that somehow doesn't feel like the middle of a city.

A nice hostel, the staff is friendly, only the door of the room no 300 its electric locks does not work, and everything is paying, even the breakfast, but otherwise, everything is beautiful, I would come back next summer.

We stayed in the captains cabin, fantastic! Spacious room, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was good too!

Attentive staff, quiet, facing the old quarter and view of the Royal Palace. Very well served by public transport. Very good breakfast, shared kitchen clean and well equipped. We had a cabin on the boat, a little narrow (normal on a period boat) but clean and quiet. It gives another stamp to the stay.

Disaster checking in. Don't get what was booked. For booked, expensive price is quartered in 2 bed with communal bad-tallow toilet. Only after inquiries came an explanation … Booking. Com would be to blame. Clarifying conversation with manager. Next night at the Gunroom on folding beds.
Saucoldly uncomfortable … but a big room for that. They met us and apologized several times but breakfast and room as well as rooms drove us to escape on the 2nd morning. That was a fall for us. 1year looking forward to it and now something like that. Hotel change completed.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of the city. Beautiful view of the rooms. Welcome 24/24. Proper cooking except during the work that takes place during our stay. Clean bathroom and kitchen.

Location A romantic setting. The view is gorgeous. Rich and varied breakfast.

Quality hostel. I stayed in a dorm room in the boat. Beds very comfortable and good length. Toilets and showers good. Kitchen well equipped in main building. Very happy with my stay. Would have loved a working galley and common room on the boat so I didn't have to go up to the main building at all.

A great and unique youth hostel! We stayed in the boat, Af Chapman, and really enjoyed our experience there. Room was nice and quaint and beds were awesome. Breakfast was OK and the little restaurant is above average. When booking, opt for the boat. You won't be sorry. I will finish up with mentioning its location. Af Chapman is near so much of the good stuff: Gamla stan, Gröna Lund, Vasa, Junibacken and lots of museums.

Located on the island of the central ship, the water is the palace, the North city is very convenient, the location is very good! The scenery is good! There are two types of accommodation: You can live on a boat or on the shore. The ship is basically a sailor's room, up and down, one room 4-6 beds, men and women mixed. There is a bar on board, you can drink coffee to see the view, but there is no place to eat. Eat the place on the shore, can order meals can also do their own, the second floor to provide kitchen, cooking tools and tableware (disadvantages: Many people, small places, tableware is not enough to go inside and rest room (can see the magazine internet watching TV) The accommodation is also basically on the two floor, as the room situation is not very clear, because this time living is a ship.
The first floor is a reception and a small restaurant.
There are parking spaces, about 120 CZK per day.
Advantages: Very beautiful, very good position!

The setting is very nice and quiet but the property is overly spartan. The rooms are very small, two beds and two stools for bedside table. The only decoration is a chair. Shared bathrooms and showers are quite strenuous. A makeshift accommodation not proportionate to the price.

Loved it, good price and great location. There's a 24 h reception. It's also pretty cool to be staying on a boat.

From the pictures they show the ship, then they put you in a neglected room on the fourth floor without a lift and with tiny windows.
When I did this at the front desk they replied "Yes there is a problem with the site, they all complain about this thing but we can't do anything about it, it's not our fault. "
I have the reservation for the following days and after the first night I left.

Fantastic place to stay, close to the city and a short walk to many museums and attractions. Rooms are cozy and the facilities are good for a hostel. The best part is sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. I would not buy any drinks from the bar though, they are very expensive.

A different kind of experience, great view of Stockholm old town, staff are attentive and helpful but not for land lovers as you can get seasick as proof from the soiled toilets.
It's also a 15 minute walk to Gamla Stan (old town)

One of the worst hostel I've ever been to. The bunk beds are so low you can't sit on your bed without bashing your head onto hard wood, the toilets and showers smelled very bad, some of the toilets being broken, the noise at night was unbelievable and no one cared. The kitchen was tiny and understandably crowded at all times, along with the TV and dining rooms. The most infuriating thing so far happened last night where 2 unknown men got into our room, looked around a bit lost and finally went out. Top security really. On the plus side the front desk agents were really helpful and nice, super efficient at their work and very patient with unhappy or lost guests.

Great Location with a Unique Experience. You are located just across from the Palace and surroundings, park with festivals nearby, etc. If you are settling in for a few days, you're in good shape here if seeing Stockholm is what you are hoping for. Cafe on site is good and decently priced. Rooms are clean and of decent size. In summer, the rooms can be a little stuff. Our room had exposure to the west and the sun came in all day. While the windows opened, one inch isn't enough to cool down the room. With the door propped open, it helped some. Others in our part who stayed on the boat had a similar experience on a day that was no warmer than 75° F/22°C, it was surprising. However if you're in Stockholm, how much time do you really want to spend in your room?

My second time here. Beautiful views of Gamla Stan and Gruna Lund. Clean and tidy with helpful staff. After 14 years at sea in M. N. I've slept enough on ships so I stay in the shore hostel. The 65 bus runs from the Central station to within about 200 metres but check the final bus run if you are arriving late, particularly on a weekend in winter. Reception is open 24/7. The ferry across to Slussen or towards the fair ground and Vasa and ABBA museums is less than 10 minutes walk away. A really useful location.

We spent 3 nights here, one of them onboard the ship. And that is a really cool service at this hostel, you can sleep on board a historic sailing ship, relax on deck in a deck chair and enjoy the view over the fjord. The cabin standard is good, no luxury, but comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The best thing with this place is the location, near the sea, walking distance to the city, footpaths around the island and along the quays, green parks and trees, a quiet place with almost no traffic. This is not a typical youth hostel for backpackers, we met both young and old people. The breakfast is typical hostel-like, basic but ok.

Uno de los hostales (youth hostels) más interesantes, porque además del edificio propiamente dicho, el barco que hay amarrado forma parte del mismo y el desayuno se hace ahí. Hay habitaciones para todos los gustos, desde más pequeñas si se quiere algo más de privacidad a más grandes, compartidas con más gente. La situación es buena, porque está cerca del centro, y las vistas son geniales.

I had two nights stay in the dorms. The location is amazing, room was clean, light and well ventilated and breakfast was well provisioned and tasty. Would happily stay again, maybe next time on the boat :D.

A cheap Hostel in the city centre and then on a ship!

Central nice hostel. 24 hour reception. Very nice breakfast for the price and cheap place to sleep.
