Great hotel & great location. So close to the old town, restaurants, bars & shops & museums. Amazing views of the waterfront (especially Christmas time with the beautiful Christmas tree). So close to the palace & the beautiful Gamla Stan. Lots of beautiful finishing touches like the throws & cushions outside on the seating area & candles. We had a good selection at breakfast to fill us up for the day. Definitely would come back or recommend. Great location to stay in, in Stockholm!

Stayed for 4 nights and have no complaints only compliments customer service extremely helpful nothing was a problem and happy to help with every question. Rooms are perfect with extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast is definitely a highlight with everything you can think of plus more. Great location across from water and amongst the beautiful section of Old town Stockholm easy walk to everywhere with the hop on hop off bus stop right outside. 5 stars!

Great Hotel. We arrived shortly before 10 o'clock already and the smell in the room. Super friendly reception. The room was on the main road but is completely quiet. The beds are soft and comfortable. We have 11 hours to sleep. German TV is not available. There is Wi-Fi. Cabinets are also available. There are a couple of smaller shelves and a Safe. The bathroom is really tiny. The first shower I got a shock, because the water delivery and the tiny bathroom (approx 2 sqm) was completely flooded. As my husband the part at the waste water out took it from the delivery. The shower is not otherwise to complain about. Also, the soap and even Conditioner were great. Alone the I the door to make and the toilet was half a step, and there immediately to the sink to give the only minus point. Big plus: return flight was on a Sunday. Check-Out time is 13 o'clock. How class is that? For the other hours, the pastry remained at the front Desk. Breakfast is also a class, and the industrious bee can see the little things immediately. So it was quickly renewed for a new product or the small, or any other mishap would be eliminated fix or replaced. The view of the water is gorgeous. Bus station directly in front of the door and also places of interest. A clear recommendation, who can accept a small Mini-bathroom and lack of closets.

Great location, friendly staff, good food. However, the experience was not ideal. No AC, loud street outside, renovations going on. The room was worse. Outdated furniture and a bathroom with worn out appliances and a ton of mold. For the price I will not be back. I guess when the rooms are modernized, and I have not seen them, it would be a good hotel. The city is certainly worth the trip.

Well what about… For a four star honestly I expected better. Let's forget the fact that I paid the full price… Booked 8 months in advance. Very mediocre rooms like cleanliness and above all the thing that I liked the most, pillow cases and duvet covers that let a glimpse of the fact that no one had changed/washed the pillows and the duvet! You could see the yellow sweat of the previous guests! Forget it. For the rest… The buffet is wonderful! Well cared for, so much variety of both sweet and salty! With all the labels describing what you were going to eat! Really appreciated! Also the staff very friendly and helpful!

Only ate breakfast here but it was great. Atmosphere was calm and peace full, the building is very old looking in a good way. Food was exeptional and plenty of dishes to choose from.

Quite nice, no bidet shower thou which is required for a 5 rating in my book. Breakfast was standard high quality First Hotel level and the Toast Skagen was excellent. Nice view over the bay also from street side rooms.

Truly enjoyed a 3 day stay at this very authentic, charming and centrally located hotel in the old town. While this hotel seems to be going through renovations to modernize, there were no noise or sound obstructions during our stay. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were made up and cleaned every day. Loved the heated floors in the bathrooms. The hotel reception were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is rather busy in the morning, but certainly worth the wait for a table. You will not be disappointed by the breakfast buffet. We truly enjoyed the croissants, breads, fresh fruit, and the hot foods such as the pancakes, beans and eggs. We look forward to returning to this hotel.

Perfect location. Helpful and friendly staff. Amazing and delicious breakfast buffet and a nice bar as well. Even though the hotel is undergoing a huge renovation that didn't destroy the cozy factor of its rooms and amenities it has to offer. A+ from me.

It is the hotel of the bigger Old town. It overlooks the sea in the direction of Grand Hotel, and is a stone's throw from the royal palace. The property is a house of 1600 adapted as a hotel, it can happen that the rooms are not all the same.

Hotel located in the medieval quarter of Gamla Stan and close to the royal palace. Outdated rooms that need a renovation. The rooms are cold with no air conditioning working. Room 100 does not operate the bath towel heater or stove. The best thing about the hotel is the extraordinary attention of the receptionist and housekeeping staff who were involved in helping you on your requests. Breakfast is excellent.

Clean, breakfast is lovely. Shame there is no complementary coffee and tea in the room. Staff very helpful. Definitely visit again.

Beautiful location within Gamla Stan (old town) of Stockholm though a long walk from the central train station, buses are the better transport to move around as there's a bus stop just outside of the hotel. However, I didn't use their public transport during my 3 night's stay as everything from old town to new city is within walking distance and we enjoyed the walk everyday. Check in and out was smooth and staffs very friendly and helpful. We had a leakage under the sink in our first room and were soon changed to the other room without a problem. Breakfast choices are plenty, loved that they have tomato juice and freshly prepared mixed berry juice. I enjoyed eating their breads and croissants. Overall, it's really value for money. If you ask me where to stay in Stockholm, I'd definitely recommend the First Hotel Reisen because "your second home is First".

Very close to five star. A very tasteful Christmas buffet with seafood and shellfish touch. This year the lobsters were not up to the regular standard. Some were good but there were a few that didn't taste anything. But overall very good!

Perfect place to lounge after a long day of work. Cozy and chill atmosphere. Haven't tried their food, but the drinks are great. Highly recommended!

We like to stay here when in Stockholm. I recommend a superior room. You'll get a view over Skeppsbron waterfront. It's not The Four Seasons, but has charming nautical themed rooms and a very good breakfast buffet.

Beautiful old building in the heart of the old town. Rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Good food and wonderful breakfast. The only drawback was the early morning delivery to the hotel which woke is every morning.

Very old structure, all kept bad and shabby, smells like the various carpets with dirty appearance. Bathrooms under the No 4 star standard, but 2-star. Hole in the bathtub. Executive room But it didn't have anything better. Street Room with Noise. Environment and room rather cold. No comfort. Guys at the reception very cotesi (only good note) Poor breakfast and coffee fee after paying 200 euros per night. Highly recommended.

Love this cute hotel facing the water and so walkable. Loads of sights, restaurants, shopping, and transport close by. I love the ambience and to be able to walk and see sights. The staff are all very friendly. The breakfast buffet is immense and delicious! I would definitely come back again.

Concerning the bar: Not very cheap but worth it! Excellent service, good people. Loving the music, relaxed vibe, and the suggested vodka shot was peng. Recommended!

Cozy hotel, with perfect location. It is at the heart of Beautiful Stockholm. Close to beautiful sceneries and old shops and restaurants. The rooms are cozy and furnished in old style. Mine even had a sauna, and a view over the lake. Breakfast was quite fresh and good.

Excellent location in Gamla Stan, at 1min from the Royal palace. Hearty breakfast Varied and full of organic products.

Great location and wonderful breakfast! Watch out for car free day in September to properly schedule. As this being in old Town, need to get out of you need a taxi out to airport or anywhere.

Small rooms, tiny bathrooms, staff technically friendly (maybe Swedish standard behavior). Cosy hotel bar. Great location. Asked in advance for a room with view but they couldn't deliver.

Very tasty cocktails made from fresh ingredients and top shelf booze. They keep experimenting with old and new recipes and keep surprising me. The polite and professional bar staff who knows their trade makes it a pleasure to discuss all the things you normally talk to bartenders about.

Hoetl of good standard, allows you to visit Stockholm comfortably. Also recommended for a romantic weekend getaway. Inside there is a small Spa, separated between men and women. Excellent service and cleanliness.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean. Small room for three people and third bed uncomfortable.

Location is the key benefit of the hotel. Breakfast is awesome as well. As for the minuses — the main are small rooms. But this motivates you to spend more time outside.

Went here for food with friends after a show. After ordering, they forgot to bring me my drink (and even what I ordered). When the food came, they dropped my dish, and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food (after which the rest of the group was done eating). When I asked for compensation (which they did not offer themselves), they offered a meager 20% discount, of my tap. The food was decent, but not memorable. I am surprised that a place with this level of service can stay in business in Gamla Stan, but this is apparently how the Scandinavian service is nowadays.

Unfortunately, the 4-star hotel was a big disappointment! The location very good, Central. The ladies and gentlemen of the reception unfriendly. The toilets in the restaurant/lobby area more resembled a station toilet than a hotel: Please do not use! The restaurant to get very small, too small for the number of rooms, morning formed long lines around a table at all. The buffet was very good! And the very narrow room? The furniture is worn out, broken, the carpet had the crumbs of our previous occupant 2 4 lamps were open, half-broken shower gels on the ground ranged from Chair to bed, the window and curtains were seamless. However, the bathroom was clean. This hotel, we will book again and do not recommend!

Perfect service, excellent old town waterfront location across from docked ships and steps away from the royal palace and great old town lanes and pavilions. This hotel has a great sauna, delicious smorgasbord of fancy and classic breakfast foods in buffet. It's very fresh, clean, and well kept. I used getaroom. Com to find an excellent dealm.

We had the Deluxe room for 8 nights, we were pretty excited to try out the jacuzzi and sauna neither of them worked. The was also cleaning lady was doing quite a bad job, everyday she'd forget to fill up things which you think are pretty obvious, such as toilet paper, so we had to call room service several times during our stay and ask them to bring up some. The breakfast buffet was amazing, however I would not stay in this hotel next time.

Would definitely go to this hotel again! We had a great time just before Christmas (2009) Great sauna too.

Room with yacuzzi and sauna for 2500kr. Very service minded staff and their own restaurant is an excellent choice with good value food. The breakfast buffet had what you could expect but in a strange setup.

Unfortunately we got a very tiny room with a noisy bathroom but dont let that stop you. The people in the hotel r fantastic very helpful.
