I don't think anything new about this place can be said. The facilities, the gardens, the sea club, the restaurants, the swimming pool… it's impossible to improve it.
The staff is tremendously effective and attentive. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
A marvel, of the best of Marbella.

We go whenever we can at the beginning of the holidays. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Things to improve in my opinion: more service in the hammocks of the beach (sometimes if you want to order something you have to be almost half an hour to see someone who takes care of you) and another point is to improve in general the facilities that have become a little old.
They are only suggestions for improvements, we will repeat whenever we can because it also has an important sentimental link.

5 star hotel, too crowded for my taste, I like charming hotels more, and in addition, they are cheaper. But as an experience for one night, it is worth it, it is very nice, the staff is very involved. However, in my modest opinion, it is priced at least in August (320 euros the cheapest room) too high for what you get, which is quite good on the other hand.

Very nice buffet breakfast here! With cava, omelettes and everything you’d want. €30 per person.

I would give them 4.5 I was happily surprised about their small pet attitude! At the beginning I thought that for a "pet friendly hotel" their policies were pretty strict and unwelcoming… however if you have a well behaved pet and are able to keep under control your small pet, they are also willing to overlook some of their strict policies. My cute little Pistacho had a blast in their gardens which are GORGEOUS! I give them 4 stars just cause eventhough breakfast is included and totally delicious, all the other meals ie. Any food and beverages are VERY overpriced and the worst part is that if you are not able to finish your meal you can't take it home for later either. Nevertheless it was a very pleasant stay beautiful hotel, adequate for adults that are looking for a relaxing couple of days.

The hotel is In a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Warm top pool, free sunbeds, great service From Cons: quite pricey. The Rooms are a bit tired, the mini bar is pricey, the English gaps in the staff.

Great place to relax and unwind. Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful grounds and good facilities. Orange Beach Club a quieter and more pleasant option than Nikki Beach Club next door. Highly recommended for couples.

Stayed at the Don Carlos for two nights and wished it had been more. Our room was clean modern, hugh beds, good pillows and sea view. The room would have been perfect had it contained a balcony. On our next visit we will pay extra for balcony. We found the pools and grounds fantastic, never overcrowded and very comfortable loungers, the lower pool especially was excellent. The breakfast was superb one of the best we have had for choice and quality. We also loved the Piano bar for before and after dinner drinks, the live music was very good. We did not eat dinner at the hotel so are unable to comment on this. The location of the hotel is excellent and there are lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very helpful polite and smiley. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing location great service delicious food and all team members of hotel just brilliant.

Came in for a drink this evening, off season Saturday night, and we had a lovely time. Hulahoolah played in the piano bar and they where excellent. Cocktails where delicious. Exactly what u expect from a 5* hotel.

Very friendly staff and an excellent bar / lounge. Football this evening on the large screen TV. Juventas lost. They also have live music or disco dancing on others.

Nice modern hotel complex with small but modern and well maintained rooms. Spacious terraces and gardens with private beach club and beach access. Located right next to the Nikki Beach Club. Rich breakfast and lunch buffet.

Far from the centre of Marbella, if you like to spend the holidays in a pool or beach nearby if it is perfect. Also for events are very professional. The beach Club is the most beautiful.

Lovely place to be. Located on the beach. Very good place for a vacation or to hold big get together and conventions and meetings.

Great location and fantastic tennis and pool facilities. The rooms are more than suitable for the price, but agree with other reviewers regarding the size of the bathrooms.

Can't fault hotel at all. Genuine 5*. Lovely attentive staff at hotel. Certain staff at tennis club could be a bit more customer focused. Like to come again in full season.

1. ) When a five star hotel has Spa resort in the title then hotel guests should be able to use the water facilities for free. Instead the hotel charges EUR 45. 2. ) Once you are forced into paying EUR 45 to relax you are then reminded by staff that your time limit is 1hr 45mins after which time you must leave or get charged another EUR 45. (By the way outside guests get a 2hr limit). If you've stayed in five star hotels in major cities or luxury resorts than this is very much a 3.5 or 4 star in my view so bear that in mind when booking.

A high quality hotel located very close to the beach. Easy access to leisure and spa facilities and with a selection of bars and restaurants, all with great food. The business facilities are smart and comfortable and the staff are eager to help. Would like to visit again.

Very expansive but poor service we decided to stay at Don Carlos to enjoy our holidays but the staff really killed the vibes. I can't recommend it.

We would not stay in Don Carlos again because unfortunately we could not enjoy our holiday. What a pity!

Massages, food, drinks, room service, all overpriced! (130 €/45min back massage and €6 the fl. Water) Poor price performance. Service very slow, I got a ham omelette when I went back as a vegetarian I then got a raw omelette for breakfast and vomited all night and had diarrhea. I think it was a food poisoning although my stomach is hard to take. The hotel gives to be dogs friendly they have us but in the 4tagen we wanted to relax there unfortunately every day with the dog stressed we like to wear it on the hotel grounds and lobby all the time on the arm and they meant it seriously. The one star is there for the good cleaners and the beautiful facility but for 300 €/night there is better in Marbella.

Service excellent. Room at the Oasis was first class. Food pricey and not so great, the only reason for losing a star.

Good hotel. Staff very nice. A Spanish 5 star… so at times service can be slow. If you like using the gym I wouldn't bother… it's very poor. Tennis club fantastic. Restaurants very good and fairly priced.

A site pretty, quiet and with all kinds of detail… The staff is very attentive, I've been for a week with my dog, which also sum, as long as small can be desayunado or eating with your pet and that it is difficult in a hotel and the gardens are large and beautiful where you can stroll with the in a beautiful setting.

Went there with a large corporate group for meetings and célébrations for a week. The service, the food, the attention etc were all amazing. Love every day there. Large hotel, great facilities. At the beach with several restaurant choices Inside. Would definitely recommend for famillies couples and for large events.

There are hotels of 3★ with more luxury and details. In the room. The very small bath. Single hair dryer was missing go to pedals, ancient and stop 30 seconds. The breakfast buffet very OK almost from nothing. Only the personal service is acceptable, too expensive for the type of hotel which is.
