I like staying here. It's been my fave hotel every time I visit Singapore.

Have been been there several times. Acceptable budget hotel for a reasonable price. Good location close (600-700m) to 2 MRT stations. Many cheap food options & groceries in surroundings. The room size is reasonable for what you pay. Friendly staff. Only drawback is Wi-Fi password is frequently changed & so you have to log in again every time you go out & return to the room & room cleaning is not properly done in some days.

Very clean and friendly hotel well situated with easy bus access to the city and 2 MRT stations about 10 minutes away. The room itself was a bit small and a bit difficult to pray. There was no arrow on the ceiling to show the direction of Kiblat although a member of staff was quick to assist. My room had a small refrigerator and a lockable safe box as well as a good flat screen TV with a fair range of chanels and good quality picture, also tea/coffee making facilities. All in all good value from this budget hotel.

Even though the location is in a red light district area the hotel was elegant and the district "services" were not on display on the street the way you`d presume but was actually a normal looking neighbourhood. Therefore i'd recommend it to any groups travelling. There isn't much to see nearby but taxis and grab drivers arrived there fast and the nearest MRT was within reasonable distance. The spaces are not large though. The lobby and rooms are just enough. Not really a place to hang out but the rooms are nice for resting before going out to see the city again.

Good room with limited facilities. Good to stay at night. Can give more tea or coffee bags.

The rooms are nicely decorated and relatively large for the conditions. However, they were not completely cleaned on our arrival, which is why black hair was still everywhere on the bathroom floor. The rooms are very clean. You can hear the other guests in the hallway as if they are standing next to you, which can lead to an early awakening in the morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even if they forgot to give us towels in the room.

Got 3 rooms for a trip for 5 people ordering all 2 twin rooms and 1 single but got only single rooms since apparently it's only a request and that it doesn't need to be fulfilled. My group is pretty heal cautious and we wanted rooms that don't smell like cigarettes. 2 of the 3 rooms reaked with the smoke smell each time you go in. This is in the red light district which is a downside for me as well. I strongly discourage people to stay here especially without a gym or fitness area. The rooms are also incredibly small.

Room 202 is haunted. Not joking, just saw excuse when you enter the room. We forgot that step and I had a bad experience. However the reception was good, they didn't even ask why we want to change room. They just change like they already knew what happened. :-)

The room is nice clean and cozy. Just the bathroom is small. Higher than my expectation! Overall its good!

Cheap hotel with decent interior. Not that far away from 2 metro stations. Pretty good choice for that money in Singapore.

The room is also clean, soundproof almost, cheap and affordable can send baggage, counter service staff will be Mandarin, near the evening to eat a lot of junction, there are 24-hour convenience store, MRT MRT can not be about 12 minutes, there are buses to ride, but nearby is the red light district, the girls fell single night.

This is prime star. Nice room. There is everything you need. The room was clean. Fridge, shower toilet sink mirror teapot and cup. Everything is clean and beautiful.

Compact, clean, change bed every day, not far from the subway.

Good clean and comfortable housing, for their money. The rooms are small but clean and well-groomed. Cleaning every day, free water, tea, coffee, there is a kettle. MRT station in 10 min walk.

Ambience looks relatively clean but no one would mistake it for a high class establishment.

Hotel 81 is quite a good Hotel, cheap and affordable the service is good and the front table working person is also very friendly, I would surely recommend my friends to stay there.

We stayed here six nights, easy to find food, convenient store and bus station near by and MRT station is about 10 mins walk Not all the hotel staffs are friendly The rooms are quite small just good for 2 person. The room rate is reasonable. Overall rooms are clean except one of our rooms have urine smell I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Good place to accomodate. Around 800 meters to nearest MRTstation.

Had to meet a business associate at the lobby. Nice decor. Clean well maintained. That's all I can say.

Rooms are clean, comfy bed, limited channrls ontv, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi is good, bathroom is a little small, toilet has no bidet.

The rooms were quite small but it meets your needs. It has a queen size bed, a safe, a sink, air conditioning, a TV with an attached smart TV option for YouTube viewing with a remote control, free fast Wi-Fi for the room, hot and cold water for showers, a toilet, a fridge, a hair dryer, 2 towels, 2 pillows, free shampoo and body wash, an electric kettle for coffee, and curtains for the one window. The toilet does not come with a bidet only a tissue dispenser near it. Overall, the room does its job as a place to sleep while you're on vacation. The hotel is located in the red light district though for those who wanted to know or who are interested, you can sample the local Chinese and Singaporean just at the corner.

The room is clean, the subway, shopping and eating are convenient. Check out the card can be, no rounds. However, can only be checked in after 1 o'clock in the afternoon/, s$40 per hour in advance.

Typical Budget hotel for tourists. Mostly located close city centres. Convenient location.

I stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms though clean but small. Bathroom was also too small even that washbasin was fitted in the room. Budget hotel.

Nice service & comfortable.

The rooms were quite boring and weren´t attractive. The hotel is located in a red light district and this was noticeable. The personnel was pretty distant. But besides that the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was fine. We were here for just one day and this was good enough for us.

Overall, the room is great, however, beware of the two ill-mannered and uneducated employees (Eric On & Alvin). They both did a great job by damaging the reputation of the whole Hotel 81 representing in Singapore. I am their loyal customer but am disappointed that the company top management show less effort in dealing with their employee's insolent behavior.

Good value hotel in the red light district near the Aljunied MRT stop. Rooms are clean. Hotel is located near many restaurants.

Fair hotel. Sits next to about 20 brothels, not ideal to stay here is you have young ones.

New after the repair! only that night! small rooms! have all the necessary tea kettle refrigerator bathroom accessories towels. Wi Fi free in the room!

Clean, nice, modern and very comfortable bed. Only thing wrong with the location, as it is on a street of prostitution.
The attention is very good and the hotel inside is very modern, full of comforts and free Wi-Fi.
It is about 5 minutes walk from the metro and although the neighborhood isn't the best thing you'll see, at any time I felt unsafe.
Right next to the hotel there is a restaurant that makes corner and eaten soooo good and very cheap.

So many bitches every saturday night.

Staff are very accomodating, hotel is very clean and over all value for money.

With the promo price that I got, surprisingly the hotel is quite tidy, clean and the front office service is good.
