We stayed in room H9. It was perfect for our honeymoon. Bigger than we thought, quiet, we loved opening the double doors and hearing the rain.

Lovely boutique hotel. Not serving breakfast yet due to COVID. Fantastic location by water.

Absolutely amazing experience. We spent almost a week staying here and it was amazing. The rooms were always clean and cool. The rooftop patio was a nice place to relax and read no matter the time of day. Every staff member was incredibly accommodating (especially Natalia! She was wonderful and brought breakfast to our room one morning when my boyfriend was sick). Everything is within walking distance in Old San Juan and it really has a nice, cozy feeling. We will 100% be returning and staying here again!

We was there last December 2017 and will be returning December 5, 2018. The staff is so accommodating and we also stayed one night at your other property Casablanca. I can't praise how great the staff were. If you want the feel of Old San Juan this is where to be. We could have stayed in a commercialized hotel but that was not the atmosphere we wanted! I loved all the recommendations of where to eat and the coziness of a small hotel. They made all our arrangements for travel to the airport and to the cruise ship. The personal service was incredible. We will be seeing you for two nights in December. I wish I had more time than that to spend with you. Both locations are GREAT! But I loved being able to walk down to the ocean in the morning and night.

Awesome little boutique hotel. Right off the water and surrounded by bars and restaurants. The staff was incredible as well. When we checked in the front desk person talked with us for 20 mins about his personal recommendations. The room was great and I highly recommend this to anyone staying in old San Juan!

We had a wonderful visit, and it's all thanks to the concierge and staff! Willing to take extra time to share the best spots for food, swimming, and even showed us photos of different swimming spots to explore. On the last day, we checked but we're not flying until 2am. We were allowed to leave our things in the hotel for the rest of the day, until we left for the airport. Not only that, we were having trouble finding a rental car to use for the day and the concierge called places for us, found names of scuba diving places and sent us on our way. After a long day, we came back to warm welcomes, we were allowed to stay and wait for our cab, change, get something to drink. The staff really do go beyond. I can't say enough of how unique this place is. The roof top rooms open up to the rest of the rooftop gardens, and in the evenings, several cats come for friendly company. They really are sweet. I do not want to go home! I loved my stay, and I plan to come back and stay I this hotel!

A true sample of excellent hospitality! Without a doubt one of the best Puerto Rican bed and breakfast to stay in during a vacation in Old San Juan's Historic district. Both, my wife and me were born and raised, in Puerto Rico but moved to the USA a few years ago. Recently, we visited the island for a wedding of a friend and decided to make it a tourist type trip as well. Upon arrival, their friendly staff and general manager warmly welcomed us and helped us settle in immediately. The hotel is located in a centric and quiet street close to lots of restaurants, beautiful scenery, and historic sites. We loved the fact that the hotel only has 9 rooms, all of them very comfortable, the local artwork displayed on their walls, their antique furniture, rooftop patio, among other amazing amenities. Absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is one amazing hidden gem in Old San Juan. It’s a sister hotel to Hotel Casablanca (awesome place, as well)! The property is just stunning and superbly decorated. The bed was so damn comfortable! The rooms are as romantic as one could hope for, too! The best part of this hotel is their insanely kind staff! The staff there helped us with every kind of recommendation and did NOT disappoint in these recommendations. They are warm and welcoming people… from the front desk to the super sweet housekeepers. We highly recommend this hotel and their beautiful employees!

Nice and quiet local hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. They upgraded us to an even better room for our honeymoon! We loved the rooftop area for hanging out, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.

This hotel was like a dream come true! The location was perfect, being close to downtown old San Juan, and it is also a block from the walkway to the outside of the walls. The room was absolutely stunning. It was very clean and had a beautiful antique feel to it. There was a rooftop lounge area that was also great for relaxing on while drinking some wine. The service was amazing as well. They provided breakfast every morning and waited on us hand and foot if we needed anything. There is a tablet installed in every room to take requests if need be. We will definitely be going back, and returning guests receive a 10% discount, which makes it even better!

This place is awesome! Stayed at the villa herencia for a week and wish I could have stayed longer! The whole staff was friendly and super helpful. Especially one employee named Christian, he recommended great places to eat, allowed us to wash our clothes in the facility after they got muddy in an ATV excursion, plus much more. Also the place is super cool looking and private! The deck on the roof top is chic and perfect for relaxing! Also it's close to everything, my husband and I were able to walk to every thing in old San Juan and occasionally needed uber, so it's location is super convinient. Overall this place was great and I will definitely be back!

Great little quiet place within walking distance of main touristic places in Old San Juan.

This is, hands down, the best place to stay in Old San Juan. It's perfectly located in one of the quieter areas of Old San Juan, near the Governor's Mansion. It's just steps from the iconic cathedral, forts named as national treasures, and the San Juan Gate and trail, which is right on the water. The hotel itself is perfectly appointed and affords an authentic cultural experience (with the exception of outstanding AC is the private rooms). It's all the open air, fountain, upper deck under the stars one might hope to find. Perhaps equally importantly, each time we've stayed the staff are incredibly hospitable and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sites to see. It's an absolute gem and of all the places we've traveled and stayed, Villa Herencia in Old San Juan is undoubtedly my favorite.

Absolutely loved our experience here. It's close to so many amazing restaurants, museums and downtown fun. Their attention to detail and excellence made me feel welcome and important. This place is quaint, elegant and perfect for anyone who wants to experience the rich culture of San Juan. Oh and the staff are fun, friendly and very helpful. Thank you guys!

We stayed there in January 2011 before a cruise and it was magnificent. This is a quiet, around the corner, out of the way inn that has to be experienced. The charm of Old San Juan is only a few steps away to explore but we had an incredible evening sitting on the inn’s rooftop being serenaded by a local guitar player in the plaza below. The staff was better than wonderful and helpful. In fact they allowed us to store our luggage on our return from the cruise, even though we were not staying overnight again. How I wish I could get back there and when I do I will be staying at the Villa Herencia.

Our wonderful experience started before we arrived when we emailed a question and the hotel manager emailed us back and sent all sorts of wonderful information of Puerto Rico. We felt we were already friends by the time we arrived. The staff was very attentive, the hotel was charming, the location was ideal in old san Juan — on a quiet street but close to everything. The staff recommended some wonderful local restaurants within walking distance.

This was a lovely little place with a roof top patio. We stayed in one of the two roof top rooms and it was a nice surprise. Close enough to many attractions but on a very quiet cobblestoned side street, which after visiting Old San Juan was a huge bonus.
