We only had a one night stay at the Sumaq, but everything from arriving to departure was perfect. Their service is amazing with excellent attention to detail. The room was nice and the bed was super comfy. All of the food and both the restaurant and breakfast buffet was delicious. I highly recommend a stay here if you are going to Macchu Pichu.

Everything is fabulous, from the income, the care, the staff is very friendly, warm and professional. The facilities are spacious and very comfortable, which invite you to stay. It was very nice to be there. There will be soon return.

The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. We are lucky to stay over the night in Sumaq Machu Picchu, so that we could enjoy 2 day Machu Picchu visit and climb up to the sun gate.

The hotel is in a very good location it is super recommended that you stay in hot water before and/or after boarding to Machu picchu. The hotel is very classic and I loved it because it offers you various amenities such as a culinary art class where they teach you how to prepare the traditional Peruvian ceviche and the drink pisco soul.

The hotel has good connection with nature, is beautiful, the food very good and the rooms very warm and comfortable one of the best hotels with hot water.

Few hotels in Peru like this. Cozy, elegant, with spacious rooms that do not lack detail. Tea time included in the price, pisco time too, local cooking classes, etc.

Hotelatazo at the foot of machupichu. Machupichu, a mountain place where backpackers predominate and accommodation for this type of tourism but also has hotels such as sumaq. We stayed for a single night but can say it has very comfortable, clean and spectacular rooms. Also with a restaurant where the food was spectacular. If you have more days and want to relax you also have a good spa. I recommend it 100% especially considering that after a tiring day walking around Machupichu is appreciated a break.

The best food in the best place, it's amazing how they can turn all Andean products into art, such as their trout ceviche and its delicious raviables, A1-class food.

Excellent food in dining room — rooms on Creek / road side have nice view — side facing mountain is nice but has some train noise — rooms are great — spacious and we'll appointed — radiant heat near windows — overall enjoyed very much — nice large bathrooms — top drawer accommodation.

Wow, this Hotel was an absolutely amazing experience, I have never stayed in one that rivals it! The rooms were large, comfortable, and decorated in an incan style. My family and I are all celiac (medically gluten free), and the kitchen/serving staff were all incredibly accomodating for our dietary needs. They even offerd complimentary gluten free bread with their meals, wow! The rest of the employees are equally as friendly and will bend over backwards to help you with anything you need. For example: My family and I had never seen the product Inca-cola before, with it being our first time in South America, and naturally we were curious to try it. Of course, with our dietary restrictions we weren't sure if it would be safe for us and no gluten free information was disclosed on the bottle, so we resigned ourselves to the reality of foregoing the experience. BUT, the Hotel representative manning the front desk, Andre, heard that we didn't know if we could drink it and went out of his way to research it on the internet and even called the company inquiring on our behalf (it is gluten free for interested parties! ). This is the kind of 5 star service you can expect from this Hotel.

This hotel is outside of the city central which is one reason why we chose to stay here. We wanted a room with a view and it did not disappoint!

If you are looking for enough relaxation and the best food, just like we do after Aguas Calientes and after a long hike, you are definitely in good hands here. The rooms are large and we also had a view of the mountains and the place.

Just had 5 star "plus" xmas day and night with the wonderful staff, delicious food and superb room of this very well located hotel. From the moment I arrived after day discovering Machu Picchu the treatment from all staff was first class. Thank you for a truly memorable xmas day.

Great spot with super comfortable beds and linens. Modern bath and shower with great pressure and hot water. Large suites. Onsite dining was excellent and the presentation spectacular. Breakfast buffet was large and tasty. Excellent service all around. They will take your baggage to the train station for you as well. Welcome drink and sweets tray were a nice touch.

The perfect retreat after visiting Machu Picchu. Loved the warm hospitality when we checked in. Refreshing cool drink, hot towels, and snack. Plenty of bottled water in the room along with complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. Room was spacious and immaculate. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable and advanced five-star hotel, the restaurant is delicious, impeccable.

I stayed at the Sumaq during my trip to Machu Picchu. This was an excellent choice. I mentioned to them that I was proposing on top of machu picchu that day so when we got back to the room in the afternoon our room had rose pedals on the bed and some sweet bride and groom chocolate covered strawberries. I thought that was extremely nice of them to do for us. The hotel stay included a delicious breakfast buffet and dinner. We also had a ceviche making class which we really enjoyed.

Great alternative hostel in Aquas Calientes. Down by the river and bus station. Decent breakfast. Nice people.

The location of the hotel is perfect, is in the direction to Machu Picchu, the food spectacular buffet features a variety of juices, best breads including in Lima, on the night the dinner dishes well presented and delicious
