The entrance, bar and hallway etc were really nice. Looked like it had been freshly refurbished. Our room, less so. The chair had a big old strain on it, window had been screwed closed at the top, (it was so hot, wanted some air). In general the room looked like it could do with a bit of tlc. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

Absolute Gem of a place! Booked as a surprise birthday trip and was seriously worth the money I paid! Champagne on arrival, very helpful staff, all major debit cards accepted and great area! Rooms are spacious and very clean! Will be returning! Thanks NH Hotels.

Very good location The old rooms (undergoing renovation). We asked for change and we were given one of the few remodeled.

The main advantage-the proximity to the center and hearty breakfasts with good cuisine.

Booked this hotel for a week they gave us an “upgrade” for booking more than 7 days (if you would call it that) breakfast was suppose to be included in our stay (according to our booking information) but it turns out it’s €24 extra per person per day. No thanks. Impossible to control the temperature in the room it is either freezing or way too hot. Had to request a new comforter because there was blood on mine. Attempted to use the beauty salon but he front desk was unable to really help with contacting them. They tried to charge us for two beers we did not have at checkout. The worse part because I am all of of data and still have two weeks left is that their Wi-Fi DOES NOT WORK. At all. It will say your connected but you’ll have to wait a couple years for anything to load (if it ever does). Would not book again if I had the chance.

A remarkable hotel with an excellent location. Superb staff, very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. An absolute delight it will be to come back here again. Highly recommended also for the nearby locations for shopping and eAting outlets.

Very expensive for what it is, there are better hotels at half the price. The best breakfast, all good with lots of variety and the staff very friendly. Uncomfortable beds and for my taste lack cleanliness to be a four star. Well connected. The reception of four people could not speak to us in Spanish and they were not very interested in understanding us. Very bad that part. I will not repeat without a doubt.

It's not a 5 star hotel, but there is nothing wrong with this place. Top to bottom, it was a solid choice with a great location. The people were nice, accommodating, and friendly. This bed was a bit stiff, but still no reason not to give a 5 star review.

Cleaning service is poor. Doesn't matter that your booking says clearly that you are 2 people, they don't provide towels for both and clearly they want to save some money not providing the service of a 2 star hotel and this one has 4.

It is ok in general. Nor very much in the city center, but close to museums quarter. Rooms are a bit dated, but pretty much in a good shape. Breakfast is perfect with wide assortment. There is an iron in the room, which is handy. The only problem that I had is dirty window and poor internet quality.

We booked a standard room in this hotel in October 2017 to stay between 26 and 28 February 2018. T. E. Six months in advance. And in the commentary to the reservation, it was stated the wish-two separate beds. A month before settling, we duplicated a letter with wishes. When arrival to the hotel, we were offered a room with a single bed, with one set of linen, absolutely eaves room, with dust on the bedside tables, butts in the window frame and a view of the trash! On our outrage, the staff at the front desk replied that there is no other option for today, you can try to move tomorrow. That we refused. Also, I want to note that in this period the hotel was almost empty. After we decided to leave the hotel, the staff "found" the room, for an additional 40 euros each, for 2 nights. We have made a payment, and received a number of large dimensions. However, with the same smell of cigarettes, dusty curtains, broken radiators and butts on the balcony.
For all who want to stay in the area of Leydensplane, bypass this hotel, its extremely insolent staff and dirty rooms.

It is very close to the center and even closer to the museums and the famous poster I Amsterdam. The service is very correct, a love, you are greeted with a small piscolabis and all day you can serve water of flavors or take a little fruit. The room is fine, they leave you a chocolate bar and the cleanliness is excellent. In addition and since it is a very rainy city, it has radiators, which comes pretty well to dry the coats. The bad thing is the water, the only bad thing, that is embedded and does not allow to be very comfortable. But everything else is excellent.

Amazing location. Great room bed and silence. BUT rebuilding in lobby area was uncorfortable. I can feel is a good place to come back tho. Super friendly staff.

Good location. We should have been informed that the hotel is on renovation… A bit disappointing… The rooms A… Good mattresses and clean bathrooms. In Spain this would be a three star…

Decent. Room thermostat was broken. Managed temp with radiator heat and opening patio door. Young staff at front desk were not very knowledgeable about tourist items like museums, tickets, etc. Found one front desk gent that was extremely helpful and went to him with questions. Fitness room was very small and inconsistent morning hours. Breakfast buffet was average. Good location to catch trams and buses.

Very well located, a few minutes from the Rij Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. Very good to get to know the city on foot from the. The hotel is OK, the type of any NH.

Home away from home and love how they always make me feel welcome. My stars go with the 5 star rating that the hotel has. Thank you and will always have my custom.

From 2 rooms One was OK, the other inadequate. At one temperature to 18 degrees, no heating. The other safe is broken. All in all for a four star hotel scarce (with good will) enough — both rooms together had given a good one.
Reception and service were friendly and accommodating. Location is OK, you can quickly reach a variety of excursion destinations or within 15 minutes of Amsterdam Centraal.

The staff were very helpful. Service at check out left much to be desired. However, only an arrogant toffs was responsible for this.

The hotel is great, well located what not. I liked is that when they arrived I asked for bail of €50 per room, that is no longer common.

The hotel is very nice, up to the city centre 800 meters away, there are a lot of small restaurants nearby.

We stayed here for 3 days in Dec 2017 and had a great stay. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were very easy to deal with and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the cake and goodies to celebrate my birthday — thank you so much for making it so special!

Very well located Hotel that is located close to the bus stop that goes to the airport late 45 minutes in arrive and very frequent step advisable. The breakfast is spectacular although the rooms could be a bit wider in summary pretty well.

The staff at this hotel is not welcoming. The hotel is rather dirty, rooms old, poorly cleaned, and defective! This is not a 4 * hotel.

I was expecting a lot more from a NH: they did not clean the room, but they only tucked the blankets, the shower stall leaked water, the room thermostat as well as being broken had the wires uncovered, they didn't even replace the used shampoo the day before. The location is very convenient but I don't think I'm going back.

So I found the service OK the rooms were reasonably well in order to sleep it handed it though, Mr. Floris (hotel clerk) knocked very loudly at our door several times at 4 o'clock tomorrow and woke us up because he meant that he wanted to control the room and harassed us very During the sleep and that we found not good not recommended was really cheeky and outrageous something.

Excellent Hotel, staff qualified, smiling, helpful and very friendly. They have an excellent memory, remember your needs and are in small care at the reception + lavish good advice. Perfect English and very nice.
Clean rooms, just what it takes. We came with a small dog, they are welcoming to them too. The supplement of €20 is expensive, but it happens relatively well. The rooms are quiet and it is very hot.

The Standart rooms are small and need urgent renovation. Very noisy cooling system. Staff friendly and prepared.

I don't know what to say about this hotel as I would probably sound like their marketing department! This was my second stay at this hotel and l I can say is AWESOME! This is the equivalent of a Hilton in the US and it is a truly fantastic property. My rooms have always been very clean, well equipped and oh so comfortable! The staff is second to none and the location is perfect. The hotel sits just off the Leidersplein (I am sure I slaughtered the spelling on that) and is convenient to all trolley's, restaurants and night life. Dam Square is just a 15 minute walk and the walk is an experience in itself. The city is so safe you can walk the streets at 2 AM and not feel any threat around you (regardless, when visiting any city do be aware of your surroundings). With no hesitation, I recommend this hotel! Have a great stay!

Keep in mind that the hotel is in a central area and at night it is somewhat noisy.

Great location, very clean, very well put together facility. The exercise facilities downstairs are up to date and the breakfast/restaurant has a great selection. The rooms themselves are very new and well furnished. The mattress quality is the only thing I would point out, but I love it! I came here to live, not to sleep.

Good location. Service and cleanliness sufficient room. I arrived by car and the hotel does not have a private hotel and not even a convention with nearby parking. For a person who works in the area and wants to spend the weekend in Amsterdam parking can be really a problem.

First room had broken tub and toilet. They were quick to give us another room. Helpful staff and bar staff for sure. The rest is what you might expect at this price point. Great location!

Great customer service and location, just a few minutes walk from shopping and the red light district. Rooms were fairly basic and a good size as I was travelling alone.

Friendly helpful staff. The room was clean and tidy and ready for our arrival. Location is close to tram stops so easy to get around. Didn't eat here but restaurant looked nice. Beds comfy.

Nice location but the cleaning was disappointing, a couple of stains on the bed sheets and a hair also. Not very welcoming…

Is central. Directly opposite CS Amsterdam. Is in hart of old city and on top of China town. Loads of great Asian restaurants. Also you have a lot of old dutch bruin cafes serving a great assortment of beers.

Well served breakfast expensive 20 €

Room key kept on demagnetizing, meaning many trips to the front desk. Room itself was fine. Small bathroom, large sitting area. Beds have a waterproof/allergy barrier, which was great for an allergy sufferer like myself. The wardrobe was not accessible with a rollaway bed, nor the mini fridge.

Air conditioning broken, room came down, the TV is scratched, the transmitter unsorted and a hotel bar with the charm of a flight hafenklo. Overall, a disappointing and very carelessly-run house that is not his money, for sure worth it. And the Wi-Fi is not a joke, that's no good for YouTube. I'm definitely not.

Interesting if you're going to amsterdam center.

First time in amsterdam this hotel was really well placed for everything. Walking distance to both the city, museums and food and drink. The hotel was a 5 euro bus drive from the airport. The hotel was modern with great facilities, I was lucky enough to get an upgrade. All in all I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

Barbaric! Excellent Location! From Central Station take the front of the station, the colectivoa 170, 172 or 174, and after 6 stops (11 minutes) arrive at the front of the hotel stop Leidseplein!

Well maintained Hotel in a strategic place. Tram stop is 10 metres away. The breakfast was excellent. Good overall cleanliness and every comfort in the room.

Room 130, very quiet. Average Internet. Speed but free. They started to take 50 euros from your bank account that will be released after a few working days if you haven't consumed anything from the mini bar, some might not like this.

I have opinions conflicting with this hotel. Strengths the situation is fairly new and modern. Bad points small rooms, when the bins were dirty, the toilet this boxed between the sink and the bathtub. The bath is very high. The reception is bad not to say terrible. They charged us twice the stay.

We were in this hotel, the start wasn't very good to last time I had to add 160 us. For confirmation, when we arrived the room were two beds and not one as we had asked. An interior room without any view but well. After two days to cold and the heating didn't receive another room on the third floor (we were in the first (very similar but more broad. ) ) The people of the hotel all! very helpful, great breakfast (the charge to the dining room a very kind person, Spanish-speaking) a very full breakfast, cleaning everything very well. About 15-20 minutes walking Lady square, 5 minutes from a plaza with plenty of life bars and places to eat and drink. The tram at 200 meters and the bus to shipol tam ien. Taking the problem of price (which I bother much x that was to last moment) the rest is worthwhile. Beautiful Amsterdam.

We wanted to know Amsterdam and chose this hotel of NH chain known by the following characteristics:
SITUATION
-By taking the bus 197 at the Airport leaves you practically at the door of the Hotel, so you don't have to take the train and then the tram to return to the airport the same. Price: €5
-Is located very close to the Van Gogh Museum, RijsMuseum, the Museum of modern art and the Museum of diamonds.
-The Leidseplein area is an area with many amenities and great atmosphere.
-You have trams 1, 2, 5, 7 stops very close.
HOTEL
-Reception: Very friendly. We attended Sharon, a great receptionist who speaks Spanish perfectly and wonder that we attended.
-Room: complete. No missing detail. Clean and with very good Wi-Fi signal.
-Breakfast. Exceptional. Very full and quality.
In our case, we had a room on the fifth floor that gave to the channel and very good.
Probably if we return to Amsterdam we will try to stay again in this hotel.

320€ on a Saturday night for a small room which is built so you could hear everything! I can not recommend this hotel. The only thing which was good (which is why I give two stars) is the great breakfast.

I booked NH Amsterdam Centre online, but I didn't really know the brand (NH) that well at all. I wasn't expecting anything too grand, given the affordable pricing, but WOW I was surprised when I walked in and felt totally spoiled. The reception desk was so nice, and when I got to my room, I realized what a great decision I had made. It wasn't lavish, but super comfortable. It was heated well, with everything I could have needed at my disposal (including shoe polish, which I've never seen given at hotels before — came in very handy for my boots after days spent walking outside). The kicker was that at one point, I got stuck in one of the elevators for a total of 3 minutes. That's it! And when I did get out, someone was waiting for me to make sure I was fine. Later that evening, someone came to my room with a letter from the hotel and free drink vouchers to use at the bar. They really went above and beyond to make it up to me, when they really didn't need to. It's a show of good faith and good hotel management when the hotel staff is so attuned to their customers' needs and the ways to go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. I absolutely loved Amsterdam, and I attribute a big part of that to the amazing services and location of NH Amsterdam Centre — next time I go to Amsterdam (hopefully really soon! ), I'll be staying here again.

No. Great location indeed, but old and more of a 3 stars than a four. Not aligned with usual NH quality at all especially for the price. Mostly bed are awefully soft, rolled all night to the middle of the bed, couldn't sleep. A/C not working. Edit: the internet is rubbish.

Very good location to organize conferences including meals.

The room (we"ve got a suite) was not so great for the money we spend. (350€) the bathroom was beautifull but the roomservice was awfull and the couch was dirty. Breakfast was normal but al little bit cold.
