Hotel Tamara Hotel

It doesn't deserve to be called hotel. Terible look of the room aside, I really didn't mind that, but having a mouse in the room and waking up covered with bugs, that's OK for camping in the nature, not for a hotel room.

Was a problem with booking but found me a room bed was well slept in but very comfy shower was a bit slippery.

On June 9, 2018 we arrived in the evening hours at the hotel Tamara. We had paid in advance for the four nights that we were going to stay in Amsterdam. The person who received us was an older gentleman, descortes and griton. We had to climb with the luggage up four floors by stairs narrow and steep. We arrived breathless to the room, which was small and dirty, the heat was unbearable, the mattresses were terrible, the walls were despintadas and, in case outside little, the gas heater in the adjoining room, to much noise that we could not sleep. In addition, the bathrooms were common, equally dirty and depressing (no light). So not being able to resist any longer, at 5:00 in the morning salímos to find another hotel. Is experience not recommend it to anyone. Do not fall into the temptation of staying there is its location; it's not worth the sacrifice they have to do. We prefer to lose money to stay there more time, we have even come to think that the Dutch government should close that site, unhealthy and dangerous.

Very central location, although I recommend it only to people who are going to use to sleep.

Don't stay here. They don't deserve your business. I hope you're not reading the reviews after your stay, like me. The location was really good, but not worth it. The reception man is like Scrooge. He would come into our room without knocking and wake everyone up yelling about something. Place was pretty shabby, not enough bathrooms, smelled very bad from the owner smoking. Waiting to see if I have bed bug bites.

I found it really cosy. So ideal if you want to spend less on accomodation as its right in the centre and most places in the centre cost a lot more. A little run down but overall bedding was clean and the bed was really comfy floors were clean and so we're the bathrooms. Just a little tired and old looking but I enjoyed my stay here.

The location is beautiful. The inmate.

Horrible place don't know form where to start… Room is small… Owner smoking and all house smells the cigarette smoke, also owners shouts on everyone. Left deposit for the key, never get my deposit back because no one was at the reception. Dirty sheets and room. No soap in the toilets… If you wanna spend nice time in Amsterdam just pay extra few quids more than go through this hell…

Bit grubby especially having to share a bathroom and toilet with the whole floor. Popular with noisy drunk tourists.

Please don't be an idiot like me and ignore the horrible reviews, do not stay here there are plenty of decent cheaper hostels nearby! The rooms smelled like straight piss and the creepy psychotic owner literally came barging in my room screaming at me because I changed beds. Do not come here pls!

The worst place to stay.

Staying at Hotel Tamara was a horror. We booked for two nights but just stayed one. The old Polish man (i guess the owner) is a joke. So rude that if you talk to him once you will never probably want to talk to him again. I am not really fussy but this hotel is just so filthy. The furniture in the room were broken and I guess they were collected from the street. I was really shocked to see the hotel but thought we would just be there for two nights and will spend most of the times touring the city. But no, even this was not possible the bed was broken. So we had to put the mattress on the floor and sleep on the floor. It was not super cheap either. We paid 156 pounds for two nights. No Wi-Fi in the room. There was no hand wash in the toilet and the shower was so dirty that we did not take shower. I do not know how this is even categorized as a hotel. The room was like a pigeonhole. It has bedbugs. The fire alarm went on all of a sudden at 2.00 am in the morning and went off after a while. Room was really noisy because it was next to the boiler. I stayed in many 1 star hotels but this one cannot be a one star hotel. The bottom line is if you can sleep at Hotel Tamara you can sleep at street too. So save your money and sleep in the street. The only good thing is its close to the central station. So please don't get tempted by a little cheaper price. Do yourself a favor dont book any room at Hotel Tamara. If you still tempted then please go and stay there and ruin your holiday.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

Location is great. The room has a cool view. It's ok. The service not so, since the guy that owns the hotel is incredible rude and barely speaks English. So it's was hard to communicate and he kept screaming with me when I arrived at the hotel. He screamed the hotel was full and that he didn't care I had a reservation. Seriously, bad experience with him. The hotel is ok but the service definitely not.

This place was my worst nightmare! I got eaten alive by BED BUGS! I couldn't see them when in the room, but at night, as I slept, they came out and ate me up! It still freaks me out! I had to have my luggage sprayed and all my clothes washed in hot water… it was terrible! DON'T STAY AT THE HOTEL TAMERA, it is dirty and infested!

If you care about the proximity to the train station, this is a place for you. If you like a neat clean room, look for another place.
Dirty, poor, uncomfortable.

We were expecting something a lot for the price. It is advisable if you only think of rest or hardened travelers.

It was, OKAY, at best. Needs a bit of TLC, location is great, but could be a lot better for the price point.

It is a hotel to spend the nights and the day on the street. Because you have nothing but the room and a toilet and a bathroom, but everything is very clean although somewhat deteriorated. Well, no complaints.

No privacy the guy from the reception comes into the rooms when he looks racist and very old hotel very encien I recommend it to you.

Worst hotel ever. Every morning the receptionist enter screaming to the room to pull people out. They weren't guest and there aren't lockers keep the things safe. The checkout was at 11 but the last morning the old man wake us at 8 to ask the key. The building is an old house with only two toilets and one shower for all the guest.

Not a bad budget hostel with a colorful master. The location is very good and the staff is very helpful. Clean rooms, fresh pastels. I'll take the weak Wi-Fi dostrelivajushhij to the last floor.
