Warm reception, complimentary breakfast, very nice atmosphere. Upscale lobby but the rooms are very cozy.

I’m quite certain this hotel may very well be the direct portal to hell. A slab of granite would be more comfortable than the bed. In addition to the bed, the room smelled of mold and dirty ball sacks. I feel as if I have to shower every time I just walk in. After looking at the previous reviews I feel that anyone who gave this hotel a 4, 3 or even 2 star rating needs their head examined. If you decide to take a chance and stay here anyway just make sure to bring clothes you won’t have a problem burning after you check out.

Excellent hotel, strategic location, very helpful staff to any kind of information and request, excellent breakfast with good mix sweet/salty. The merits found therefore far outweigh those that are in my opinion a couple of flaws that I have encountered and that is the room and the bathroom a bit cramped as spaces and the noise from the street below. I would like to emphasize finally the aspect strategic position… In two days moving on foot (except for Piazzale Michelangelo by bus) We were able to visit the main attractions of Florence reachable within a few minutes of walking.

I honestly don’t know how this is considered a 4 star hotel. Single rooms are as spacious as coffins, the internet connection is poor, rooms are dirty, air conditioning doesn’t work, panic cord in the shower is out of order, and I could go on and on. Never again!

Breakfast is pretty good, screens on the windows would be nice since the air conditioning doesn't seem to work. Solid 3 stars.

Staff at the height, but for a 4 * small rooms, and pity that this need not real orange juice squeeze on this lovely morning buffet.

I found myself well, comfortable the location, rooms aesthetically beautiful, typical finishes and quality, only drawback the stairs a little ' narrow and the floors, but as you know the historic palaces in Florence are all so, good prices and friendly referents and polite.

It's not a four-pull. Savings in everything is felt. The rooms are small but it is not a problem. Many of the rooms are noisy, because either go out on the street, or a noise lift, etc. Extraneous sounds. Check this on arrival if you have trouble sleeping. Clean and tidy. But the plumbing is not able to fix. Slippers are given especially valuable guests apparently. Breakfast is good. Good location near train and bus station.

High price for the quality of the rooms. I touched a small room with a tiny bed.
I'm surprised it's a 4-star hotel. In Spain would be a hotel with 2 being generous.

We got a room in a garret. My wife slept in an extra bed and I was on a mattress over a drawer. The cleanliness allowed us to wish (we found a rotten orange behind the furniture). The furniture worse than the cheapest of IKEA. The Wifi never worked. The TV only picked up a few channels.
I can safely say that this is the worst hotel I have stayed in all my life. And has a 4-star rating?!

Fatal treatment to the guests, the receptionist at night less manners could not have, he insisted that my companions did not belong to the hotel and made them identify before leaving as if they were criminals, no longer talk about the rooms, we touched one that did not even It had window and one of the mattresses was practically on the floor, on the second day there was no one standing in there, we discussed it at reception and they said it was what we had.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel. I would give it 3 stars and being really generous. The room was small, outdated and it smelled. The bed is not confortable at all. The hotel is not adequatelly noise isolated which makes sleeping a gamble on how noisy your neighbours happen to be. I Would not recommend it.

Breakfast OK, room on the top floor very nice, only flaw the shower gives some pressure surge. The hotel has 2 lifts.

We stayed in two at the facility with a smartbox-like package worth 95 euros nothing arrive in the early afternoon and we will assign the room.
And here and started all the room located on the ground floor next to the front desk with a single window that looked out onto the street with a separate that allowed little light to enter.
Let us say oh well rest a little seen the journey; At some point we hear someone entering the room; You wake up with a start and we see one of the staff coming in and running around saying sorry sorry that had to repair the only television service in the room which obviously did not work. I go out angry and both the janitor and the girls at the front desk apologise for what happened; It shouldn't happen.
Okay does nothing let's try to sleep another little and start with the laughter at loud of the staff at the reception. This time, my angry girl comes out and we need an apology. But it's not over… we go out and on our way back we find a fruit basket with an apology.
The fruit basket was included in the package and did not act as an apology… tax? Yes, because I didn't pay for monopoly money. Last thing belonging the two plugs only where is sticking or the light of bedside lamps or the charger, during the night about 3 a. M. Being the neighborhood not really nice and standing on the ground floor to glass, two drunks passing singing etc.

Beautiful Hotel, just a few steps from Santa Maria Novella station. It has spacious rooms with air-conditioning, large and comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, all impeccably clean. Super staff, kind and nice, delicious taste of welcome, based on teas and biscuits, is made to find directly in the room. Great breakfast, delicious croissants. I rebooked from them.

Pleasant location just off the river for a quiet drink.

Nice hotel near the train station, the receptionist super friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very good.

The room is very clean Small bathroom but with the services in order. Continental breakfast was a nice surprise as the staff friendly and professional. We felt welcomed. The only drawback was the separate pickup truck that woke us up at 5:30 but we know it's not the fault of the hotel but the room on the street near the dumpsters. Location.

(-) Small singel room, old dated furniture and TV, bed is not so comfortable. Internet is way too slow. 4.5 euro city tax per night, above government regulation (scam) Checking your guest ID (can they to that, they are not police, by law they dont have the right, but again this is italy=chaos). How about if I want to bring hookers. (+) good deal, decent breakfast and tea/coffee complementary.

As read by other users everyone found my perplexity about the 4 stars. Classic hotel with little modern facilities. There are no outlets available, which is made even more complicated by the absence of the chandelier, to whose place was affixed a socket (? ) Breakfast very good, European, nothing to plead. Our Smartbox foresaw a "romantic moment" provided by the hotel and despite our recalls we were not provided. Price dear, do not recommend to use the Smartbox.

From a 4 star hotel I sincerely expect more.
The room was definitely not 4 star not to mention de bathroom. The photos speak for themselves.

Great breakfast, very clean room. We had a room on the reception floor and a lot of noise with a flea market that they rode at night. It's very badly insulated.

Is not a hotel but I prefer living here than a hotel. Great host. Very clean. Good location. One thing that needs improving is the Wi-Fi for higher speed. Overall lovely stay.

My sister and I stayed there because there was a problem with the hotel we'd originally been booked into. The reception area and dining room are exquisite, all beige marble tiling. Once upstairs, the corridors are extremely narrow, and the bedrooms are minuscule. So not brilliant for claustrophobics. But they do have balconies. Breakfast is pretty much bog standard continental brekkie, which is great. The receptionist, who I think is called Sara, and who was there when we arrived late at night and the following morning, was extremely pleasant and helpful.

This was truly the worst hospitality experience. We had an unfortunate scenario with the taxi driver while arriving to the hotel, and the police had to be called. The receptionist was there during all of this and instead of aiding the paying guests, she automatically sided with the taxi driver. When asked to provide the phone numbers to the consulates she was sluggish and took forever. The situation escalated to such degree that we did not feel safe staying in the hotel, primarily due to the incomprehensible actions of this lady. To top it all off the rooms were run down and in need of maintenance, overall cleanliness was subpar as the whole hotel looked really outdated. With this being compunded with the damaging behavior by the receptionist and other staff, I would rather burn in hell than return to Palazzo Ognissanti.

Great position just 10 minutes walk from the Station and within easy walking distance of all the local places of interest. Rooms were clean and well serviced and ours had a balcony. A bit noisy in the morning but that is to be expected in a city centre hotel. Would I stay here again? You bet I would. Lot's of choice for breakfast and also lots of local Trattorias for dinner.

The internet was unfortunately unreliable. However the breakfast had a good range of cheeses and cold meats and fantastic pastries. You could order Cappicino's etc instead of the filter coffee. They moved us to a larger room all in all great location and value for money.

Great location, breakfast buffet is good it does have some good choices. The beds are really comfortable, towels are nice and soft, also have towel warming rack. It's really close to almost everything in Florence, withing walking distance from the river and most attractions.

It was located near the train station in Florence and we could walk to the south bank sites, the Uffizi Gallery, the academia and shopping. Very nice breakfasts. Nice room and friendly staff. We ate dinner down the street or in the neighborhood.

Breakfast (as per Italian norm! ) Was delicious and all of the staff is more than willing to accommodate you in any way possible. I had only a few issues. I had a 3rd floor, street facing balcony/terrace. Perfect and quaint for one person, however the 5 am glass and rubbish pickup was not a welcome sound to be woke up by and as a non smoker I didn't like the fact people constantly came to my balcony to smoke and put butts out on the tray that was always reappearing on the table. My TV would never turn on (batteries for the remote I assume) and Wi-Fi wouldn't stream or load videos. I could barely get a signal on any of the 4 routers in the hotel. These things (to me) did not make or break my experience of Firenze seeing as I really only went back to sleep and was gone again in the morning to venture out!

We stayed two nights through the package 3-star room me say Smartbox seemed budget waiters that go into making the seasons … I expected a better breakfast and room service ok.

Clean, spacious, modern hotel with old keys. I love the décor, colors melt well between them. The staff has been helping quickly. Room well maintained, spacious, comfortable bed, TV, wardrobe, dry hair, mini bar, Wi — Fi. All what we need. Two elevators has provisions. The breakfast… Do not talk. There is the choice! Between lunch has the American, French and Italian, … the sweet to savory… Great! Good location between the old and the new Florence, surrounded by power supplies, restaurants, snacks, pizza. And the station! I just got back from Florence and if I go back I intend to return to this hotel.

I stayed for a package boscolo gift. Staff and staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly; great breakfast, Italian and international. The room was very clean but small, ground floor, vicinia hall; decor quite dated and size really contained, functional bathroom but minimal. The fan could be better. Overall a nice stay, but with a few niggles not acceptable in a four star hotel.

The rooms facing the street are perhaps a little noisy … overall I would recommend it for heavy sleepers, otherwise it can become heavy.

Wonderful experience. I traveled to Florence with my adult children. We stayed at this fabulous hotel and loved everything about it. The front desk clerk (lovely young lady) was extrememly helpful in providing tips to nice quaint restaurants and other local attractions (not normally found on tourist sites). The room was perfect, clean and breakfast a great time every morning. Food was great. Can't say enough good about this — we stayed 5 nights. One more thing — I notice several reviews unhappy with the hotel — "not a 4 star hotel". When we travel abroad we insist on staying at local hotels — not 4-5 stars. I want the experience of being in off the way places that have a more homey feel. Clean and friendly are the top priorities after that. And in that case — this was a 10 star hotel. I can stay at "5 star hotels" in the U. S.

We were me and my girlfriend 4 days and 3 nights. We booked a room at very good price for a 4 star hotel. Room service and very good, there are digital terrestrial channels, bathroom and in good condition. For breakfast I was expecting a little more (there was no hot water for tea, poor choice for sweets), but despite that you ate well. The location is great (100 m station, ponte vecchio in 8 minutes, the city centre and the duomo in 10 minutes on foot). It was a great experience. We also recommend a good restaurant which is located at the corner of the building "the farmer", the restaurant more convenient and good of the city. Friendly and always smiling.

Problems in the booking made us transfer to other hotel. Almost outside the city. Not good at all.

Staff is very friendly, good location. But if you are looking for a true 4 star hotel, this is not one. Very outdated and low class hotel. This is a 2 star hotel, maybe 2.5 but that's pushing it. If all you care about is location and friendly staff then its good. But if your truly looking for elegance, roomy, nice, and comfortable also, then keep looking.

Clean rooms friendly staff. Awesome breakfast. Wifi only works in Lobby (tried on three devices) and TV is fuzzy. Even tho we are on our honeymoon they put us in a first floor room that was between the lift and the stairwell quite noisy. But luckily the noise stopped at eleven. Would still recommend.

We just arrived home after our wonderful stay in Florence. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and knowledgeable, and always greeted us with a smile. This hotel also stored our luggage while we visited other places. We travelled to a city to visit my grandfather's birthplace and the staff assisted me in calling another hotel we were trying to book. They suggested wonderful restaurants in Florence as well. Housekeeping staff were wonderful. Our room was kept immaculate. Very clean. Air conditioning worked great. The breakfast was the nicest spread we had ever experienced in Italy. Absolutely was something for everyone to eat. And I thought the staff at breakfast were extremely nice as well. This hotel was a short walk to well. EVERYTHING! They provide maps of the city which were very accurate. We never got lost. I definitely would stay here again if. No when I visit Florence again! Catalano/Houston/Volpe.

Great place! We had a great room on the 3rd floor with a table and chairs right outside of it. Sparkling clean bathroom! Great service! Amazing breakfast! Best continental breakfast I’ve had in any hotel. Great location – it was right in between the train station and the river, and right outside the busy tourist area. It was a short walk with our luggage from train, and a short walk to the river. Across the river is less tourism and we found some great organic restaurants at a reasonable price. It was right across from a laundry facility and an ATM. Very convenient.
