Beautiful food, friendly staff…

Location: easy and conveniennt to locate Ambiance: the staff are friendly and welcoming. They explain what is the food in their menu. It somewhat resembles a one-stop shop; a restaurant, an art gallery and tour agency. Food: they offer different menu depending on what day of the week is. 'Had curried jackfruit, I must say I am not surprised of it's distinct taste. Price: somewhat higher compared to the other local restaurants.

Love the place, Love the food. I ordered Beef Burger and it's delicious. The portion was generous for me. Friendly staff. Chill atmosphere. Recommended.

The food is delicious, but if you wish to have a table it's better to call and reserve or come before 6 PM. They offer international cuisine, but also local one. They have Indonesian section with a special for each day of the week. The prices are really decent. They also offer a take out. I ordered food twice to have it packed for my daily trips. They packed it in lovely bamboo baskets.

The place is really nice. You can meet with other tourists from various country. They also sell some local souvenirs in the same place, in case you want some. The food is awesome! There are local food also. Totally will come back!

The BBQ was a special event, that they do once per week. But if you have the chance, go there! It is excellent!

It's a nice place with a nice foods and ambience. The variety of foods is pretty huge, with Indonesian menus and western menus. There's vegan menus also in ViaVia. They have cakes, and variation is different everyday. Their cakes is delicious and so light. At backyard they have little playground for kids to play around, and souvenir shop from local crafter.

Nice industrial cafes. They serve huge menu and not so expensive. Good one for chill!

Prawirotaman is really nice place. The meals price is moderate. You can easily get vegetarian menus here. You can purchase handcrafted from Bali and another place. The necklace and accessories so unique. The place also selling notebook from the recycled trash.

It was an extremely hot day when I came here recently. So I ordered melt in the sun (what could be more appropriate? ) and vitamin rush. They turned out to be the perfect combo. Fresh, filling, simply delicious.

This place was such a life saver! It is so kid friendly, with a kids' menu and a fantastic play area that the kids didn't want to leave (see pics). The food is delicious, with great variety and great vegan options. And I loved the shop. It was perfect for our family.

I love the place, the food, the service, atmosphere. I love to be here. The food is unlike what you have in common cafes. It taste great. The price is average. Not cheap but also not expensive.

Average Western food we went to Viavia looking forward to eating something different from the typical Indonesian food.
Maybe we were wrong in our choice when we asked for pasta.
The place looked very good and also some of the dishes that we saw pass.
However, we ordered pasta and the truth was nothing good. Inbound we ordered an assortment of humus with different types of bread that was very rich.
We should have chosen other dishes.

I loved it! I’m a critical guy, and okay, it’s comfy food, not haute cuisine, but it’s excellent! The staff is friendly and so nice! If you like fairtrade, organic food, is this a good place! A lot of choice, specials of the day, healthy juices, vegan food also, vegan cakes and pastry, homemade pasta’s, Indonesia food, burgers, salads, name it, they’ve it!

I like to have lunch and dinner at this place. There are a lot of tourists but the food / price quality is good. They have European and Indonesian food. They organiseren BBQ on Thursdays and there is live Jazz on Fridays. Staff is friendly and they speak English. A must try when you are in Jogja. Oh and they also have a shop were you can buy some nice presents and a bakery (bread and cake). You'll love it!

Excellent place to eat, grab a coffee (delicious) or search for a guide or activities by the city. Recommended.

Best place to hangout in Prawirotaman. The food is extremely yummy. They held many entertaining event, and its really good to spend time in here with bunch of my friends.

Ate there on several occasions while in Jogja and found the food to be exceptional every time… definitely recommend it especially with the live jazz on Friday nights. Fab place.

Foods are so so. They have souvenirs displayed that you can buy. They are pretty cool and traditional and artsy stuffs. Place is somehow noisy. Not cool for book reading. Good place to meet up with friends and talk.

Really hip place to hangout and meet friends. They have variety food on the menu and tastes good. They have a second floor where it is nice to lounge and stay for while. Sometimes they also have nice live music downstairs. But the best part is that they have a gift shop next door where artisan merchandise and handcrafted indonesian products could be bought. They're pretty original and in decent quality. Great souvenirs for those who don't want generic gifts. They also provide tour packages and workshops for travellers and tourist if they can't decide where and what to go around the town. Really recommended place for young and creative people.

As a freelance shopkeeper, I got the chance to enhance my social skills by meeting tourists and doing services. It upgraded my experience and fluency significantly in English or other languages. It is best for family gathering as well, and the shop is awesome (frankly)!

Great vegetarian options. Pesto vegetarian pasta and Veggie burger are great. Service is good. Kids friendly. Perfect if you are a group and cannot decide between western and Indonesian food. They have both.

Best food, best location, best service! The gluten-free cakes, biscuits and sandwiches were still the crowning glory. No other restaurant could survive the entire holiday season, we spent 6 out of 6 evenings there!

Great help from staff to get me on a combined Borobudur-Prambanan tour! The tour itself was very nice as well with a safe driver bringing us to the temples and showing us around.
The restaurant serves nice food from all over the place. When in Rome, eat as the Romans so stick to Indonesian food! Some creativity might have come in place to create a nice banana pancake dessert. ViaVia's version was really below par.

Very good food, great operation and great atmosphere.

This is a nice place to just relax, eat and meet. The food here is excellent, and the staff are very friendly, and helpful. They have an upstairs seating area, where we sat. As foreigner in Indonesia, I felt very much at home here. I had the beef burger, which arrived with at least 4 different sauces, a fresh salad, and french fries. I can't wait to go back and try something different! I also found it interesting, as a foreign couple that came here, while we were dining, took a course on how to cook Indonesian cuisine, which I've never seen before in any restaurant! Just amazing!

Delicious food with local and international menu choices. We liked the concept as a place for local artists to perform and the attached fair trade store has some good items. Great food and friendly service.

This place is truly for the travelers. The food is good. The place is cozy. They now open the roof for eating place and cooking class. The price is reasonable. Downstairs you may find a small souvenir shop.

ViaVia Prawirotaman is a busy place, very strategic, one of the earliest tenants that grows with the area. In the non smoking area they didn't forget to supply kiddie section with non plastic materials. The shop is nice. I like that they make bread, makes it simple for me to choose because there are so many seemingly good options in the menu.

Very nice restaurant for foreigners linked to a small shop (selling dresses, jewels, bracelets, etc. ) and with a nice terrace. If you want to feel like being in Indonesia it's probably not the right place to go to, but if you want to relax in a familiar atmosphere than it's your place. Food was good, not spectacular but quite good. Portions were a little too small in my opinion, service was somewhat lacking and extremely slow. I don't recommend to go here if you are starving! Overall I'm not sure if I'd go back again.

Cozy establishment. There is an atmospheric shop at the tour agency, hostel and Kafeshechka. In the café-delicious juices.

Falafel pita sandwich is great. Batik bags and notebooks next door.

Food here is okay. Prices are average. Service is slow. It's the kind of place that you'd expect it to be smoke free, but it's not.

Good food. Took a bahasa Indonesia course here, it was excellent and cheap. Great resource for travelers, be sure to check out their tours and classes.

Great food, fresh made juices have been a surprise! I loved tasty recipes from the Indonesian cusine… The place is friendly and it also includes an alternative Travel agency and a Fair trade shop… lovely!

I loved it here, I stayed in the Sulawesi room. The rooms are secure, clean and simple. You get a lovely open/outdoor ensuite for each room. The staff are absolutely delightful — fun, friendly and helpful. It is down a quiet laneway so the area is quiet too.
