Great place to sleep nice breakfast there don’t for the love of god do their lunch buffet there was hardly anything out I wanted soup that looked to have been empty for a while it was broccoli cheddar they said they only had mushrooms the guys were just rude but otherwise a great place.

Nice spot. Rooms and bathrooms are big and they have a microwave and refrigerator. T. V. 's could be bigger though.

Not the flashiest of hotels but it was clean, the lobby decorated nicely for the holidays, and the staff were friendly and efficient. There is also free breakfast (real breakfast, like bacon) and a shuttle bus that will take you out to Secaucus theaters, shops, etc. There are also alot of places to eat/ get delivery from right next to it.

Rooms were clean and spacious but the shuttle was very unreliable aswell as being out of order for two days.

This one is added to my favorite list of hotels in New Jersey! It’s a great weekend getaway!

Free shuttle to train station was awesome we had nick, he gave us great information. The free breakfast was delicious we had pancakes, eggs bacon sausages coffee and toast. I didn't use the free gym but it look decent. The service was good. Room was clean. I got the suite on the 9th floor with my fiancee and two other friends. The bathroom is huge too. I would recommend it. We stood for one night.

This place has horrible management. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Do not invest your money in this hotel. I booked a room at this hotel and less than a week later, I cancelled the reservation. The person I spoke to said he cancelled my reservation but he did not. So I got charged as a no show even though I had cancelled. When I would call to speak to management regarding this, they would never (1) pick up the phone (2) come to the phone and (3) call me back. One of the managers, Samaya, who did speak to me (2-3 times) told me that she would review the tapes to see if I did call and then would get back to me. She called me back and said I did not call the hotel at all. So I went back to my phone records of that month and found out the exact dates and times that I called. The next day, I called the hotel to clarify on the dates but she did not pick up the phone call nor did she return my phone calls even though I left detailed messages. Finally, I got tired of this whole thing and decided to email the hotel management. In the email, I told them if they did not return my calls and my messages, I would get in contact with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and then the Bureau would deal with them. Unsurprisingly, I got an email the very next day and within two days, I got my money back. so in conclusion, do not invest your hard earned money in this hotel. The hotel management is a joke.

Food was decent even though it was the same everyday, but the beds were comfortable and the service was great. They also have a ton of amenities for guests like a free shuttle service around NJ. Good place to stay if you'll be going to NY often cause it's close by and there are multiple ways to get into the city. (I suggest the train or a bus)

Great place to stay. The hotel is pretty standard, but offers nice rooms and food. However, if you have come for NY sightseeing, the hotel shuttle service becomes indispensable. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the train (NJT) which is one stop away from Penn Station. The ride would cost you around 4$ one way and it is a nice (and budget-friendly) way to reach Manhattan. Once done sightseeing and back from NY, give a call to the hotel front desk and they will send you a shuttle. Moreover, they can do it even if you had to check out this day, which is absolutely great! The parking at the train station would cost you 30$ for 12hours (8$ for 2hours). Nice stay!

The staff is all super friendly and the hotel was worth every penny. A shuttle is provided to the train station as well as shopping and food areas. About 7 minutes from the train station in which you can take a train into New York City and be there within 10 minutes. The Train Drops you right off at Penn Station it is very inexpensive. The shuttle bus driver was very nice informative and gave us some tips about going into the city that we might otherwise not know. The hotel itself was clean and the rooms were pretty decent size. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to others.

We loved everything about our stay here. From check in, the front desk staff were very friendly… The shuttle service was super easy to use and saved us tons on parking and trying to navigate around… the free breakfast was amazing. We have never had a free breakfast that nice at any of the other hotels we've stayed in… the beds were very comfortable… the rooms were nice. I loved that there was a big closet with mirrors (I have a weird issue climbing into hotel beds on the side with the wall, but with a mirror there to see I got over that fear). The rooms were super clean… highly recommend staying here.

Rooms are spacious and relatively quiet, just a shame I could hear the highway at night. The TV is old and small for the distance away from the bed. Breakfast is terrible… Such a shame that an Italian restaurant doesn't do more for breakfast than scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. A missed opportunity.

I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't speak to the rooms, but I went to a party at the ballroom that was delightful. The food was served buffet style. We had mostocolli, chicken fracese, and eggplant. It was all delicious. The room is tastefully furnished. There is a separate bar area as well.

Good location to visit the city At 300 meters bus 129 leading up to Manhattan with 3, 50… Nice and helpful staff.

Excellent hotel. Room is perfect. They have very good shuttle pick up and drop off service to bus stop and the Secaucus NJ train station. Breakfast is decent.

Good Hotel, a little old, with correct prices and, most of all, a fantastic Italian restaurant inside!

Compare to the prices of hotels in Secaucus and in NYC, this hotel offers good value for the room rates they charge. You can park your vehicle free of cost at the hotel parking and take complimentary shuttle service to move around Secaucus area or take free shuttle to go to train station. Free shuttle is available from 5am morning till midnight or 1 am.

This seems to be kind of a scam. I can't believe many people gave this place high enough marks for what it shows when you search. It's old and the pic they had when I booked had now changed. Earlier today they had a big gym with Olympic weights in it, how could that be? Well, it can't. They have a couple treadmills, and now that pic is gone. Old, tired.

Shuttle driver's are not friendly and it's not a very clean hotel. Their gym equipment is outdated. The continental breakfast is awful.

Visited the Meadowlands Plaza hotel for a get together with some friends. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Spent a little time at the bar downstairs, but didn't have the opportunity to eat there. Chicken parmesan looked appetizing, though. Reliable and accommodating hotel.

The Meadowlands Plaza Hotel is very convenient because it is right off of Route 3 and close to the city. However, the hotel is dated in their decor. The restaurant seemed pretty dead when we walked through at 6pm. The banquet hall was nice and the food was tasty. The calimari and the paella were very good but the steak and the chicken were overcooked and not great. We went there because they were cheaper than the Brownstone. The happy hour appetizers were very limited. The bartender was very nice and the drinks were good. We would probably go back there if the Brownstone continues to overcharge us.

The worst hotel in Secaucus. Horrible Front Desk Staff. I booked my sister's wedding night there and they could not find our reservations for the guests, they refused to help put a sign for the shuttle I had to pay for myself and the room was no better than a motel, absolute NIGHTMARE.

The location is good, near NYC. Breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are nice and pretty comfortable, but not a lot of lighting.

Good hotel and a good deal for the price. The rooms were neat and cozy. Nothing special about the view but the staff was really friendly. They extended the breakfast time a little bit to accommodate us. It was our fault that we were late and hungry but they still did that for us. I liked the customer service. Good place to go if you want a no frills service.

I stay here for work regularly. Front desk is always pleasant. Breakfast is pretty good for a hotel breakfast. Rooms are always clean. Gym isn't anything great.

Grossly exaggerated and basic hotel for the price. Zero hospitality and non-existent customer service from the front desk staff. They're not helpful or cheerful to their guests. Terrible service … the hotel didn't even have a wine opener or plates to use outside of breakfast. Ridiculous! Will not return. The only good thing about this hotel is the sweet cleaning lady.

Attended a wedding at the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel and stayed overnight. Friendly staff and nice clean room. The banquet room was very spacious and the food at the wedding I'd give a 7.5 out of 10 (pretty good for wedding food). Also, the breakfast buffet in the morning was better than expected. Overall, I had a great experience here and would recommend it.

The hotel was clean and the shuttle service was convenient getting into NYC. The staff was friemdly also. My only complaints was that the hot water in the shower was either too hot or not hot enough! Very weird! Our room was right across from the elevator which was annoying because we heard everyone going on and off the elevator! Also we left a do not disturb sign on our door and the cleaning girls came in anyway which bothered us! Also we held the room with a credit card and when we got to the hotel we paid in full with a different card. Well they ended up charging us on both cards. When we called the manager to complain she told us there was nothing she could do about any of our issues. But for the price it's not a bad hotel.

The room is very from outdated to very nice my only problem with the rooms that's far is that several of them have tubs that will not plug so it's impossible for you to take a bath that's very annoying when you come home after a long day and you're very sore. That aside the hotel staff is very friendly they try hard to please the food in the restaurant is excellent and it is very close to several fast food restaurants and very convenient to route three.

I only went here for the restaurant. Service was great and the food was good but nothing amazing. I'll go back at some point to try another dish.

Was given a room that someone else was already checked into. After I got into my new room the bed was super comfy and I had a great night sleep.

Perfect place to stay if you are visiting NYC! Staff is very friendly. The complimentary shuttle service will take you to and from the train station. Plus, the free hot breakfast buffet was delightful. Great value and easy assess to NYC.

I felt the hotel was pretty good in accordance to its price. The staff was quite nice, especially the front desk, except the room service people. They would come to your door at 8:30am and bang on it repeatedly for room service, the earliest iv ever seen them come in any hotel, that too on a weekend, not at all happy about that, which happened 2 days in a row, and had to use the do not disturb sign for the third day. The breakfast was also quite nice and complimentary. The shuttle service they run to anywhere in NJ to the train or bus stops is also quite efficient, just give them a call and they will come get you at any time. I feel apart from the room service personnel, my only other real grip were the beds and pillows. Not sure what it was, Although they are nice and big, for me they were just not comfortable at all, couldn't get much sleep. Possibly the beds too firm and the 2 pillows they had were one being too soft and the other too hard. But apart from that, the room was quite clean. Would recommend it for a short reasonably priced stay.

It is more like a 3.5 star, but I will give it 4 stars because the hotel shuttle will pick you up and take you to the Secaucus junction which makes it very convenient to get in to the city. I have stayed here 5 times now because it makes it cost efficient if you need to work in the city and also see clients in NJ. The GYM is better than most hotels and the restaurant in the hotel has good food and a good happy hour.

This is more of a 2.5 star than 3 star hotel. Rooms were OK. Carpet was dirty and not vacuummed. Great location just outside of Manhattan. 30 min bus ride depending on traffic. 10 min train ride. Suggest taking train in the morning or evening rush hour. Their best perk was the free shuttle to the trian or bus station. Prepare to wait though. The shuttle leaves at half hour intervals.

Room we reserved was large and clean but our AC barely worked! I didn't sleep comfortably on either night because I was so hot. We had it on 60 degrees and still felt hot. Fridge took quite some time to get cold. Bed was okay to sleep on. Lots of pillows. Multiple vending machines near elevators. The lobby and guest entrance stunk horribly. For whatever reason the guests come in through the back of the hotel. I was a little nervous about having to use the elevators because they seemed old. We stood here for an event at the restaurant and while we were dancing the food was served and taken away without us even touching our plates. That upset me because even after we sat down wait staff did nothing but rush us to eat and leave. Thought that was super tacky. It was during a wedding reception. Not cool. Breakfast was very good. I was expecting more of a variety but the few items that were served tasted good. For what we spent per night I was not at all impressed. If you are traveling with kids this is probably not the place to stay. We had to pay for our baby to watch cartoons. Overall I've been to cheaper places with better accommodations.

Wouldn't even give this a star, honestly. The beds are hard, there was trash still in the room when we first got there, there were only 4 tissues (we know this because my friends allergies were going crazy), the staff is rude and ignorant. Ugh the staff, and the vending machine didn't work. Not only did we not get our complementary breakfast because the people who checked us in didn't tell us, but they overcharged my friend for her security deposit thing. She had to put down a card in case we like left the room damaged (which is understandable and common) and she had to put a friends ID down too. Well the security was $100 that she was supposed to get back after when we left and there were no issues. Well they charged her extra that the staff checking us in didn't tell us because my friends weren't 21, $50 each person. And my friends boyfriend is 24 so had we known that we would've just put him down. But none told us any of this until we were checking out. They didnt even tell us they charged $200 and not $100. She found out when she checked her account on her phone. The man that she talked to was also very rude and honestly didn't care, took forever to call back, then told her to call her bank and they would fix it. And the bank said no they need a call from the hotel. I would never go there again and highly recommend none does. Also someone should redo the management and clean the bathrooms.

Close to NYC, but at a more reasonable price. You can take the bus to Port Authority, or you can take the NJ Transit one stop from Penn Station (you'll need transportation from train station to hotel). Room was clean and staff friendly. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity.

Stayed for weeks at a time. Good: clean rooms, decent service, nice staff. Bad: HARD BEDS, free Wi-Fi is slower than my regular phone network access.

The hotel is nothing special, but the room was clean, the staff was very nice, the location was fantastic, and all for a really great price. There is free parking, adjacent to the hotel. The included breakfast was really good. The shuttle is super convenient to the train station, which is then about a 15-20 minute ride into Penn Station. I will definitely be staying here for all my future visits to NYC.

I had a very bad experience with Meadowlands Plaza Hotel. Although the place seemed nice through internet, it turned bad since the moment we arrived. The staff was extremely unfriendly and barely even looked at us. At the moment we arrived, at 11pm, we noticed the noise from the conversations and the music from the restaurant just below our room, at the second floor. We called the front desk to ask for another room, because the music would play until 1 am, according to him. The refused and said they didn't have any room. They said they couldn't do anything for us and the music played until 1:30 am. After that, the voices from the drunk people outside of the hotel kept us awake until 3 am. The second night in, the same scenario happened, but worse. The music was louder than the night before, and when we asked politely to call if they could turn the volume down just a bit, they told us they couldn't do anything and that the music would play until 2 am. Overall, although the breakfast wast delicious, this hotel didn't give a damned shit about the music and noises that they knew would keep their costumers awake, in the room that they gave us and the rooms around. Plus, never have I seen a hotel staff so rude with their clientele, and so unwilling to do anything to improve the situation. I would strongly recommend you chose any other hotel in the surroundings.

I wouldn't listen to any negative reviews about the Meadowlands. My family and I stayed here for 3 days on our NYC and I can honestly say it was a great place to stay. The shuttle service from the hotel was awesome and it helped us get everywhere we needed especially the bus stop to the PA in Manhattan. The staff was friendly and informative, helped us figure the bus routes and the subway. The rooms were clean and had an okay view. The beds were a bit hard, but after walking NYC for 13 hrs you really look past it. In all we had an awesome time and the hotel helped us achieve that.

The hotel was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay here. We ordered something from La Reggia downstairs and got a wrong order which they corrected later. Other than that my main concern is regarding the tour that they recommend for NYC — The New York tours. Please please don;t take this tour. It is overpriced and the people conducting it are super rude. Try to do the hop on bus or something reliable. Dont get on those buses which say New York tours, it is the worst.

We've stayed at this hotel many times. Very, very clean, friendly staff, super parking, very good privacy, and a great breakfast. Absolutely no complaints.

We made a reservation at the hotel for a business trip. Upon arrival we were told that they could not accept third party billing (company credit card, not in our names). We were turned away. A couple weeks later we were charged for both rooms, despite the fact that we were not permitted to stay there. The hotel told us that they would not refund our money because we had not cancelled the reservation. I would have figured that being turned away and leaving would constitute a cancellation.
