A very nice location in the heart of Amsterdam in the train station area.
— a very unpleasant man at the reception who refused access to our room to a friend on the one hand and other part who refused to keep our luggage after check out.
— woke up at 8:30 a. M. By the maid who slammed the doors, after explaining to them, they paid a little attention.

The room is very small by American standards. I don’t mind because if I’m spending time in my room in Amsterdam, I have bigger problems. The only things I would like to have had are Coat hooks and somewhere to hang my towel after use. Also the wetroom style shower had great water pressure but was rather slippery. A textured floor or bathmat would help. Overall a small clean place in a great location. Perfect for young travelers. Not wheelchair or handicap accessible.

Booked a room for 3. Payment was taken, about 2 months before we were due to visit Amsterdam my friends realised they won’t be able to make it. I rang and explained and even though the reservation confirmation stated min 48h cancellation they said I couldn’t cancel. Then I said if I could downsize my room. Then I was told I could but I couldn’t get any refund. So I had to stay in a 3 bed room on my own and had to pay £400 for 2 nights. They could have easily sold the room to someone else. Also I found the staff extremely rude. When I asked if I could downsize the room I was told I had to pay another 50 Euro’s and when I questioned it, Kristina started shouting down on the phone and then put the phone down after saying “Stay somewhere else” When I eventually stayed there, the guy at the reception would ask to see what was in my shopping bags as raring wasn’t allowed in the rooms. I would not recommend staying there at all. Location is great but staff are rude and unhelpful.

Great hotel on the damrak. Friendly staff that will help whenever possible. Cheap and clean rooms what more do you want.

I loved the hotel. Amazing value for money. You can't get a better hotel in the location in regards to pricing. Cheaper than hostels in the area with dorm rooms and shared bathroom. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great shower. I will definitely be returning.

If we could put 0 I would! The worst hotel of my life… We even found a mouse that was walking in the room (photoand video in support) … a shame and the staff at the reception all unpleasant and impossible to get hurt despite the unsanitary of the rooms. Don't go there!

Assuming that this is a 1 star hotel, my review is absolutely positive. The rooms are basic but clean and refurbished, excellent value for money, the location is ideal because very central and the staff helpful and courteous, the only flaw is the breakfast very basic.

Hotel in a perfect location. For the rest is by far the worst hotel in which I have been in my life, if you can call it so, this in Spain would be a hostel for homeless people. It's disgusting absolutely everything. If you are looking for a minimum of comfort forget to come here. Beds with 20 years of use, windows that do not close, dirt everywhere, old and filthy towels, killing stairs to go up and down, not to mention the other guests, riffraff of all kinds. Showers that cut the water every two by three. Breakfast is unfortunate, toast and juice and stops counting. To the second day pass of breakfast there. In summary zero stars, this site deserves no punctuation.

Old building, but well kept. Clean rooms and tidy bathroom. Small rooms, but that can't be helped considering location. View over Damrak, so that's noisy. No elevator, lots of stairs.

Recently renovated clean and modern. Great location, breakfast is a disappointing and the staff are friendly but can be rude at times with strict rules. Good all round budget room.

I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here. The rooms are so hot but the most disgusting part was being eating alive by various insects and parasites each night. I wouldn't ever rate this hotel at a half star and I strongly believe if it's not completely refurbished, it should be closed permanently.

Never ever go there. The place is absolutely filthy. The rooms are infested with some bugs or other and it was over 2wks after we'd come home before the sores from the bites improved. The management are at best indifferent and sometimes offensive if you complain. Bare wiring is on show in the badly refurbished rooms and the towels are nothing more than ripped rags. When we complained the management said that we were paying for the location and not the facilities or comfort. Avoid at all costs. Sleep on Central Station before here.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent.

It is the worst place u would ever experience. When we arrived, it was so untidy and messy as the hotel was under the construction. Many wokers were going around and they stared at us and trying to talk to us, we did not feel safe. It was so loud with hammering and the hotel's atmosphere was scary. Even worse, the room was disgustingly dirty. Floor was dusty, beds were damped and everything was worn-out. Flys were everywhere. The most terrible thing was the toilet. Toilet was clogged and it was so disgusting. I cannot even describe. We could not stand there so we went down and tell the owner about the toilet. He was so rude and unpolite and pretended like everything was fine. I told him we cannot stay here any longer because this place has no sense of sanitation, and the owner said u can do whatever u want but money will be not returned to us. He was so rude never apologize to us. Never! go to this place. Awful! You will ruin your trip. We gave up the money and changed hotel. Do not go here.

Stayed the past 3 nights. Horrid place. Shower holder is snapped off, it's filthy, and I've came home with bites all over me from the bed bugs. I understand it's a budget hotel but there is no excuse for it. It's like you're worst hotel experience. I've slept in hostels in Brazil with better standards.

Very dirty, awful, not worth the money hotel. No ventilation, very warm in the room. To have one star, if they actually have it, is not a permission to be dirty and lousy hotel. No internet in the rooms, just in the "lobby" which is a dirty room with only a 1 meter space for hotel residents to sit on two torn up, dirty chairs and use the internet, and if there is no place, so you can sit on the stairs, not worth the money!

I went with my partner. The location and the attention of the hotel is what adds all the points, close to the train station, the tram, the red zone, the shops of interest, the Sex museum… the truth that is better impossible. Hallucinating experience we booked for 4 people but in fact we slept in many more in the company of mice that circulated freely at night. The fixtures fixed with screws, holes in the floor, bathrooms cold and mopped, Sheets gnawed. They proposed the room change but they were all the same, rundown at the refund request to change hotel they refused telling us that the stable is old and that they do not refund. Good reception, Wi-Fi only at the reception, small room, prepare to climb stairs. The place is ideally placed and hard to find better for the price. Very interesting if you only plan to sleep there and if you take the private bathroom.

This hotel is just horrible. The breakfast was disgusting and very are worst. It's absolutely unbelievable that it's still open.

They do not even deserve one star, worst rip off I have come across on my holiday, 150 euro for a shit hole of a room. No elevator and Wi-Fi only works in reception. This place should be shut down.

Nice hotel and you get precisely what you pay for, so great value. It's just somewhere to sleep really. You're not in the room 24/7. Room was clean, despite looking like something from the late 70s or early 80s. To me this is unimportant as I'm far too stoned to care, by the time I've stumbled in at 4:00AM. Like most hotels, unless you find a work around (eg. A large window you can lean out of, whilst smoking carefully) you can't smoke in the rooms. They make it abundantly clear that a hefty €200.00 fine would be charged if they detect you. I like to take risks, but the windows in my room were not suitable for this and I wasn't going to chance it, as I would at other hotels in Amsterdam. Just smoke downstairs with the other guests and make some new friends. Staff were decent and friendly, check in-out was swift and painless and no discrepancies when it came to money. Didn't try their breakfast, but I imagine it to be, not too different to other hotels in the area. My next observation is crucial and if, like me, you're the kind of person, that doesn't want to pay for fun, this hotel is probably one of the least strict when it comes to bringing back visitors. Be careful still, but you should meet no opposition or hindrance. Certainly, my review is based on my good experience, but you will find it quite accurate. It's an affordable hotel right on the Damrak with friendly staff and a comfortable place to lie your head down. It's not the Hilton. It's never been advertised as such.

The worst hotel I have ever seen. Dirty to not be able to stand it, spots sticky on the floor of room, bad smells, showers that do not work, tanks not loading, beds that are removed, windows that will not close, vermin. The worst thing I've ever seen. Doesn't even have a good price, because between tourist rate, payable with card and rate that Yes, comes to about € 80 overnight in a room that no pension should not be called. Everything was pretty disgusting, sheets, duvets, pillows, curtains, bathroom. Everything had shit everywhere. Frankly, not go.

Please do not you ought to go to this hotel. It is the worst the best. Never you can imagine the fatal that is. Empenzando by personnel who is presentable, then cleaning (well that there is clear), and the old one that is. Uff that bad pass it.
