Hotel Ben Centre Hotel

This is actually the worst hotel we've ever been to. Strange system with your money being blocked in advance, and tis sum doesn't counts when you pay for your stay. Very little rooms, not even comfortable and suitable for one person. You hear everything from your room and smell everything too even the hotel is non-smoking territory.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever used & I've used many. The staff are appallingly rude & have every scam possible going with regards paying key deposits, card charges & pre-authorisation. You are made to feel extremely unwelcome from beginning to end, you’re only there so they can take your money. The rooms are dirty & stink of stale cigarette smoke. Hope this place goes under along with the staff! This is the first online review I’ve ever written.

It's a okay hostel/hotel. Really small rooms with a little private bathroom, it doesn't cost much so you don't get much. But it's really in the centre of Amsterdam and everything is berry nearby.

Checked into our room and found the door wide open. The room had clearly been used: used earbuds on the bedside lamp, basin and a plastic glass with a dark liquid in it had been left on the floor. Reported this at reception and the guy was shocked and clueless, and when I said I expected more for the €500 for 4 nights I had paid, he pointed that Amsterdam is ‘like that’. Unbelievable. He offered us another room that at least didn’t have surprises. The facilities are dreadful and have no words to describe the customer service. I would definitely never go back to this hotel.

Warning, do not stay here. There are no elevators and the stairs are ridiculous, good luck if you have a suitcase. The rooms are dirty, they smell and there is no air conditioner. Furthermore the owner/reception man is on drugs, literally threatened to kick us out because he thought we were bringing in extra guests. He eventually admitted to his mistake after leaving us in the street for hours. He was extremely rude and swore at us, completely unprofessional. I know this is a budget hotel but trust me, save your money. Its not worth the headache.

This hotel is terrible. No air conditioner so sleeping is difficult, the rooms are ridiculously cramped for your luggage, no elevator to get up to rooms with luggage, the rooms were dirty. Only thing that is good about this place is the location. Most importantly the old guy with grey hair is a real douchebag and swore at us when he thought we were bringing in extra guests. I could not believe how rude he was to us. Can not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.

The location is the center, you go down, two steps and you're already in the middle of the drive). It's very close.
We had a double room, on the very last floor, to get on the stairs then another adventure, need a good physical preparation, but for the elderly, the climb is unrealistic. The room itself is small with a shower and toilet, the condition of the room is not important, something falls off in the bathroom, the lake is squalid.
If you plan to hang out or walk all day in the center, then it is ideal for such money! For the rest Of us, I advise you to take something in the suburbs near the subway.

I have heard that this place is a hostle, we were in a private room/bathroom. I ordered a 2 person room and received 2 twin beds put together and a small shower/toilet. Perfect for what we needed for our overnight trip to Amsterdam. Place was very old and could use upkeep but was clean and had decent water pressure. Room was as advertised as 15 square meters, small but we weren't in the room for long. You may have to climb many sets of STEEP spiral staircases to get to your room. Great location. Middle of all shops. Would stay again.

Hostel in line with the price. Let's say we spent little and little we got. Our room was on the top floor of the building, with those damn narrow and steep Dutch staircases (I don't tell you the difficulty when I had to go down with the suitcases), to the limit of livable (it was really small), however at least we had the bathroom with the shower in Room. Fortunately we had to stay little…

Right hotel for sleeping… the room was clean and minimal. They provide asking for clean towels every day, you only pay cash and the staff is very courteous. In the lobby there are cold drinking machines and a small car for coffee and tea at 1 euro but they are not great of course. No B. There are a lot of very steep stairs.

Nice hotel with good staff! The location is just 500 meters from the central station 2 minutes to walk im in april again there see you soon.

It is a beautiful hotel, quite clean, cozy… Maybe hangs a little to the right, but this does not matter. The Lord of the reception is always very helpful and polite… There has been able to help and indicate the most beautiful places to visit. The only problem is, perhaps, the too many and small scales.

A very central location. Much better than what you read in most reviews. Surely it is suitable for those who do not presume much, but the room was clean, quite spacious, with two windows, radiators and bathroom new and spotlessly clean. Pity the flights of stairs is absurd that there are (emphasis in the fall! ). The staff is helpful and multilingual.
