Great location. Everything within walking distance. Rooms are ok for the price.

My room overlooked the street where there were people screaming until 3am. I will close at the reception to call the police but he replied that they were on the street and could not do anything.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my entire life, the absolute dirt of the place is unbelievable, needs a good bang of a vaccume or even a whole new carpet put into the hotel and every room it's absolutely stinking! pictures of this hotel do not match what you get in real life so don't be fooled! hotel staff and especially the reception staff are as ignorant as anything, no warm welcomes no smiles NOTHING. The shower in our bathroom smelled strongly of urine.

This is by far the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in.

Superb hotel, very clean, quiet and well located staff is very friendly kind and helpful I would recommend and the breakfast really well, there are a lot of so.

I honestly do not know where to start! Myself and my friend arrived midday Friday and was offered a double room, as one was ready. I refused this offer as I booked a twin room, which ment we would have to check in at 3pm, this was fine and understandable. The hotel has storage for luggage, however, I did feel anxious with this room as anybody could gain access to key to enter!
Once arriving back at approximately 5pm to check in, the lady at the desk could not find our key. Sh…e then asked me for my name and while checking on the system she asked "are there other members to your group that may have already checked in" I replied "no, there is only us for this trip" this instantly rang alarm bells! The lady gave us the key for the room anyway. When entering this room there was a man and woman sleeping in the beds! This is found embarrassing and an invasion of privacy for both parties! I then went to complain and recieved a half hearted apology and to the man who worked there found it funny!
Once we were finally settled into another room. It was very unclean such as stains (including blood), hair and the room had not even been hovered. Once again, I complained to the lady. Her reaction came off as if this was a regular complaint! I was offered a deep clean which I jumped at!
On Saturday the "deep clean" took place. There was a slight improvement where it had been cleaned, which indicated that the cleaners are able to carried out their jobs!

Nice view from the window door, the rooms are unique and clean, but the bed situation is not good, because there are two mattresses combined into one, in my opinion the couple's guests are less comfortable, and at night the sound is too noisy from the outside making it sleepy, hoping You can handle all the guests' problems so that guests can be more comfortable and can return to stay at this hotel.

XO City Centre hotel In Amsterdam. Worst hotel ever. Management doesn’t give a crap and super expensive over the holiday season. Very deceiving from their advertised pictures to what you get. Our sink has a major leak and their solution was to put a towel under the sink prior to renting to us. We complained and we got a bucket! Really. Steer away and share please! I have pictures to prove it.

Great location, friendly helpful staff, clean room. Room is a little on the small side and view is of the neighbours roof but I would still recommend staying here.

Great hotel… conveniently located. Easy to get around. Front desk staff very helpful… breakfast not impressive.

I would definitely stay here again for the same price. This is a lovely, clean and comfortable hotel, situated perfectly in the centre of all the nightlife, coffee shops, food spots and bars. After reading negative reviews, I was apprehensive… but staying here myself has changed that view.

The best thing about staying here is that you are right in the middle of Amsterdam! Perfect location. The room was not the nicest I’ve stayed at; but it had all that you would require — beds & a private bath. It was modestly priced and the staff was professional. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff and all seem to speak multiple languages. The first night we were there, they put us in a middle room which was very dark as there was scaffolding outside the window, they offered us a room swap for no extra charge in the morning as many rooms were becoming available as people were checking out. So we did and had to basically had to check out and check back in that afternoon and the staff had already got our key ready for us which was great. We enjoyed our stay very much, the room was great with a lovely view of the street behind the hotel and a straight view of the clock tower. The only bad thing I have to say about the whole trip was that when we arrived at the hotel, we were charged an extra €100 tax at the desk when checking in the first time, which the travel website we purchased the voucher through did not warn us about. But other than that, we loved it, would go again.

Excellent location but rather sad environment. Very Convenient for the station and the center. Optional average Breakfast at a reasonable price. Small Rooms with basic décor and quite ruined. The same goes for corridors comma lift and lobby. Bathrooms in small room but recently renovated completely.

In the centre of Amsterdam, basic but clean, and a very good starting point to enjoy the city only a 10 min walk from the central railway station.

View on air conditioning not on the sky. The entrance is nice but the rest really does not deserve the price.

I would stay here again. Comfortable rooms & beds with an excellent breakfast buffet steps away from Amsterdam Centraal. The XO is my first choice when I return to Amsterdam.

The location is good but the place is absolutely shabby in all its details. Unfortunately the choice of cheap accommodation in Amsterdam is not huge so you have to be satisfied.

The location is absolutely great, so close to shops, restaurants, the Dam place and the Red District. However, rooms are not well isolated and we struggled to sleep because of the noise. Breakfast was nice and you can buy transport tickets on the hotel.

Malisimoooo! The only good thing about the location. I touched the room on the 2 floor and to access I had Q climb a lot of stairs super steep and awkward with the suitcases, after leaving the elevator and no one helps you, they look at you and nothing, I went with my in-laws who are big people and became very difficult. It is a disaster The breakfast is also precarious to have a coffee to queue xq must be removed from a machine. The maid service very rude was in the room when they wanted to get in to clean that incidentally it was the 14 HS I had retired at 8am and as I said in a little while I was going I made a gesture in a very bad way. The bathroom enters one person and thank you, 3 rooms lights were burnt and to finish the smell of humidity in the bedrooms, if you decide to come remember to open the windows to ventilate them. I don't recommend it at all. As I said the only good thing the location. Lousy.

I have stayed two consecutive times, I always find it good, rooms in the norm at acceptable prices. Excellent location.

Good hotel but bad and expensive breakfast.

Very good Hotel with a kind team that help everytime is possible. This is convenient for the people which want to visit the city, because it is in centre and near it there are many restaurants or take & away point. I advice it if you visit Amsterdam during a weekend.

First floor room, 3 single beds and a beautiful bathroom. The room is spacious and a nice view of the city centre. Is right next to the ‘square’ which of ideal. Lacks only in quality of decor.

The worse 3stars hotel I ever seen in my life! Where to start… Room was cold, smelling cigarette, dirty, mouldy… And faaaar too expensive for what it was! I had to stay 2 nights for work and I had to pay around 230€. Breakfast not included and cleaning not included neither apparently. For breakfast I had to pay additional 7€ which seems cheap for a breakfast but according to the quality of the buffet it was too much! We could say the staff should be really friendly to have people coming there… And not for all of the people with whom I talked. Not a friendly welcoming… Not possible to get a split in my bill for the breakfast as well (small detail but in addition of other things… It is annoying) The only positive thing is that is closed to the train station. I completely recommend to go in a hostel instead of this really bad hotel where you won't sleep good cause of paperboard walls which allows you to hear everybody in the building! I spent the rest of my stay in Amsterdam in the Flying pig hostel where it was really awesome and much cleaner and friendly! And just to share… I took some pictures of the room to give a bit of view on it… (And no the cotton bud was not mine. But it was stay there for 2days…) About the cup… I tried to drink tea. But gave up due to the cleanness of the kettle… But anyway. They didn't clean my cup… Which for me was disgusting.

A bit of noise, it was not very clean, there were even traces of a strange white dust on the candle, but a spacious and well located piece.

The room was very good, the hotel was very close to all the places to walk, but on the same floor of my room there were some guys beating continuously… smoking marijuana through the hallways and in the room filling with smell all the Floor and my room, all this has lasted until 5:20 in the morning and the Personaldel hotel ignoring it. Pesimo.

Totally not what I expected for the price I paid! Our room was so cold, in the month of febuary and our radiator wouldn't work! Dirty bedsheets, stains on the walls, we were on the roofspace of this hotel in which we were not told about, we could not even get a lift up to our room only the stairs! There was also a slope in our room with no warning on the wall in which me and my boyfriend tripped on several times thankfully with no injuries. Very rude staff, noisy. This hotel would be good if it was cheap because the price was not up to standards.

Very noisy, not just the street but the random clunking of utilities in the hotel. Low noise insulation from corridors too. Nice enough otherwise however, would stay again.

Hotel in the centre of Amsterdam, very welcoming and with qualified staff. My room was small but had the necessary for the days of stay. Convenient for those who want to visit the city and look for a hotel that is worth and that is located in the center.

It's very near the red zone, not recommended for families. It's not that clean and quite old everything. The staff is well predisposed.

Good location, it's clean and tidy and everything is easy access from here. However, the bells next door will keep you up all night. You won't get any sleep due to how loud the bells are from the church next door. Sunday was horrible as they wouldn't stop.

I found a very good hotel. Excellent location just a few steps from the Central railway station, in the same red light district. The spacious room, with private bathroom, the hot water is very good and the Wi-Fi runs excellent. Full breakfast. Highly recommended and very good quality/price as it is difficult to find a hotel that is not shared bathroom at reasonable price.

Fantastic location A stone's throw from Amsterdam Central Station, it was part of the Tulip Inn chain which offered very nice, luxurious and very attentive to the customer, the service left to be desired, the Tulip Inn chain was only the name At the entrance and the now old furniture.

I was together with 3 friends in a quad room, very basic but clean. Great desk service and nice staff. Perfect location 5 minute walk from central Station 7 from dam central. A good offer for people under bagdet.

Dirty, not vacuumed, noisy, stink of the bathroom, a small room, greasy footprints on old furniture, a creaky floor, a kettle in the room DIRTY, the absence of batteries in the remote from the TV. Don't skimp, pay extra and get a good hotel.

Room comfortable and staff allowed us to dry our coats in the dryer as we were caught in the rain. Yes, it can be noisy at night but that is expected in the centre of Amsterdam. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price and we were asked to leave the room an hour earlier than advised at the front desk. They did supply a room where you could store your bags but it was left open so anyone could go in.

Very disappointed! Old Hotel. Bad smell in the room (cat pee) No heating. It was a very nice Hotel. I do not recommend at all!

The hotel was terribly disrespectful to the hotel guests, did not clean the room at all, the shower water was interrupted for half an hour. Recommend not to come to this place at all.

Not a great stay for me as a solo traveler. Room was very very small. It felt more like a hostel then hotel. My room faced on to busy red light area and therefore very noisy. Noise all the time with night life, garbage pick up, delivery trucks… on and on. Would not stay again for cost. If you book request inside rooms. Hotel itself is quiet. It is in a great location. My TV never worked. Staff so so that I dealt with.

Stayed here for one night in Amsterdam. Excellent location in the heart of the city. Clean and very pleasant and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was ok nothing to shout about but would stay there again.

Great location not too expensive compared to others but the room is poorly maintained. It's rather clean (dust layer on the toilet paper door) But many things are breaking as in the bathroom (door towel holder soap button that goes from Bath to shower all this is breaking) or so coming out of my shower I saw that its Avai T all flooded except that their spray is fixed to the wall so it's not my fault it's just bad screwed. A lot of noise the night of the double glazing will not be useless. We found an employee who speaks French which is great and they have a room to keep your luggage which is very helpful. PS: Do not get to have with all the sweets sold to Cote de the hotel especially the churros they are vile and everything is expensive. Take a weed cake it's more profitable.

After a maze of hallways and staircases we arrive to our 2 small rooms attic in the top of the roof (on one side you have to lean hard to reach the bed). They're so dusty that my son had to take antihistamines. In a room, the hose of the pommel is crushed, no water in the shower! The bulb of a bedside lamp is missing. More than 200 Eur night/room, without breakfast, to be paid completely before arriving at the hotel! Never again a Tulip Inn hotel…

Ruined Hotel, very dirty. In Spain this hotel could not open the doors. No hygiene and bad foul. The walls full of machas.
The only "good" is the situation but between this and sleeping on the street there is not much difference.

Well located but with many deficiencies in the rooms, noises, window locks, and overall conservation. He needs urgent reform.

Only positive was the location itself. Rude personnel during check-in and the rooms are a joke to say the least. Will never stay in this hotel again and will do my best to warn others. We had 2 rooms for us and our grown kids. Our son had bedbug bites all over him upon waking up. I had extreme airway problems after running the air conditioning. Upon investigating, I found the filters to be all clogged up and moldy. This is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed in and we'll never make that mistake again.

The room was great and it is located in a great area for tourists, but there is a church near that rings bells all the time, including late at night and from our room it was pretty loud. If people are looking to have fun until dawn and don't care about noise it's perfect, but if you need to relax I don't recommend it.

Establishment old Dirty Vetus home middle shower room dilapidated the only positive point the bedding.

Hotel very well located but the hygiene of the rooms leaves to be desired, uncomfortable bedding. Plus they gave me a room in the basement so view on a disgusting Acer yard window at least 2 m high.

I am very disappointed with the room for 4 people I rented. The paints are entirely to be redone, the ceiling has significant moisture stains, and the situation in the basement deserves suitable lighting. This room is depressing, fortunately it is located right in the city center.

Our room was disgusting, unclean, we booked our room 6 months in advanced and that was what we had. Rude staff. (head cleaner was only helpful lady) we asked for another room but they said they was to fulk amd had to upgrade us to the best room. But even the cleaner said it wasnt. Ans weve stayed before and know the other rooms were not like it.

House, squeaky door, creaky floor, cleanliness can make bcp better, good quality bedding, helpful and polite staff, hotel well located in the center of everything, pretty noisy street at night.

This Hotel is a very quiet place, despite being located in the centre of Amsterdam. The staff will clean the rooms every day, but if you do not want you can forbid them to enter with a sign to lay out at the door. The location is strategic, you can walk around or with the tram that passes right nearby and visit every Angola of this beautiful city and its open mindedness.

Located on the doorstep of the red light area, it is a quiet and clean hotel. I stayed here with a friend who had never been to Amsterdam and booked a room in promo which turned out to be a bit small but still perfect. The cleaning was done every day, also on the ground floor there is a PC with Internet connection and printer that can be used for free, and it was really useful since they stole my phone.

Reception was very slow. When we got to our room the smell in it was disgusting. After about another half hour in reception we were given another room. Much better and a lot larger than first one. Good points are the location and breakfast.

Just back from here it's was ok.
Very good central location. Probably reason that the noise level never stopped day or night, so to be expected.
Buffet breakfast wasn't up to much unless you like the continental cold meats and cheese for breakfast.
Anything warm wasnt too appetising, eggs seem to be powdered, bacon just in shreds, etc.
Friendly staff.
So overall a 3 is about right.

Good, but very noisy and some rooms are small and have a single-glazed, so noisy. The breakfast is top.

The hotel is very well located (in the Center). The hotel itself is clean and OK, however the windows are single glazed and so we hear what is happening in the street. Not nice knowing that at night it's noisy (with the Café next to the hotel) and the morning is the garbage collection and street cleaning.

Good hotel to go in the center of the city.

The location is nice but I left something in the room and I didnt get it back. Hotel staff said that they throw it away despite the fact that it was nicely wrapped as birthday present giving rise to serious doubts concerning the trustworthiness of the hotel and staff members.

This is exactly what u get for 70euros. Low light rooms but good bed and clean bathroom. Crappy decoration and some things broken in the room.
