Not really clean. So warm rooms. You could get a better room with this price.

Horrible hotel. Had to change our room 3 times with the rooms just as bad each time. First room opened into a swamp on the roof, 2nd room the shower wouldn't drain and the third room was just plain disgusting. The front reception is horrible. It's not like it was cheap, we paid 200 euros a night.

We booked for 2 nights. Finally we stayed only one night and with much trouble. We ended up with bed fleas, spiders strolling over our bed. Arriving in our room, we had the window open (for I imagine aerating) but we had a beautiful view of a courtyard overlooking 3 ventilation vents of kitchens of neighboring restaurants. In short, a very unpleasant smell. A hotel I would recommend never (even to my worst enemy)

It's a room with a bed. That's all you get. They make your bed 2 times a day and give you sheets, blanket, pillow and a towel. That it does well. However sometimes the fact that 10 people share on toilet gets to you, as I woke up one day to a toilet full of vomit. Presumably of someone who partied too hard.

Excellent location, good attention from the staff, super friendly! But expensive and dirty as everything in Amsterdam.

At the reception we stopped by accident in a bag, inside there was money, when we gave the bag because it was not the money and not respondian for that.

If you want basic & dont care about renovation work being required, then this is the place for you. Its a Hostel-esc kind of hotel in need of proper renovation instead of a slap-dash patch job. The staircase too is narrow & some of the stairs are pointless between the floors (watch your footing, especially when carrying a bag or suitcase)

The location is absolutely top. But That's really all positive about this "hotel". However, for the price we paid in April for the downstairs room, despite the location too Expensive. We would for the price, 125p. P/n, no longer book. Without breakfast,

It's a place to spend the night in an extreme case. Don't even take risks going to mess with your family or partner.

Location well located but very bad soundproofing (tram and person yelling outside) heating which does not work very well at the beginning of the stay.

A star for the good location and a since we were helped as we had locked ourselves out immediately. This was also all positive the windows have beautiful views of a filthy courtyard through which a disgusting Fritösenmief pulls up. When it burned right next to us, we unfortunately didn't get any info on what exactly happened because the alarm stopped after a short beep. When we decided to go to safety, the whole hallway was smoky. And only then did an employee meet us. The room and bathroom are a better broom chamber, but you should not expect too much. The bathroom is very dirty I've seen better in hostels. And the current was also completely out on the last day.

Very noisy, little maintained. Does not have parking at all.
The only positive point is its location.

Location is top, everything else more of a flop!
This hotel is suitable for young people who simply need a place to sleep without great comfort.
Otherwise not temple.
Because the room furnishings are partly defective; The table is skewed, the cupboard door is broken, the window is not dense, while TV is there works but does not work. The shower in the bathroom sometimes does not work properly, partly water does not come from the shower head only at the bottom tap to the bathtub, this has been provisionally repaired with tape. The room is not clean.

The hotel is in a perfect location. But do not expect exceptional rooms. I suggest this place to people who are interested only in being close to centre and not looking for an amazing sleep experience. The liners had stains, the room was not very clean. But I would come back since it is in a convenient location.

It's a 2 star hostel. The room had a TV and heat. I didn't have a roommate so that was nice. Location is great, but I was awakened by what sounded like a fog horn.

Dam Hotel and The Orange Tulip are a good price for a good location. The reception staff are friendly. But the facility is small, a bit run down and the other clientele seem younger (we're a couple, mid-40s and mid-60s), come in and go out at all hours, slammed doors… and they seem to ignore the no smoking and no marijuana in their rooms, because we hate the smell, but have smelled it a couple of nights. Also, cleaning staff forgot towels one day, and haven't provided body wash in the shower two days in a row. (Good thing we travel with soap! ) It's fine to stay here if you are on a tight budget, are young, and into drugs.

It was a very good price and very good staff.

Best thing about this place is the location. Room very small and very old. Mold around windows. Not the best shower. €80 per night for a squeeky bunk bed. Polite staff. Won't stay here again.

Hotel in ruins, very dirty. In Spain this hotel could not open the doors. No hygiene and bad smell. The walls are full of machas.
The only "good" thing is the situation but between this and sleeping on the street there is not much difference.

The worse ever… dirty, noise, very cold… staff not interested about customers… I'll never go back there…

£165 for a bunk bed for two nights in a mixed dorm was pretty pricey. Also wasn't exactly the biggest of rooms due to 3 sets of bunk beds being crammed in. Would hate to be in there if one of the gursts wasn't the cleanest. Out ro was in a separate building to the main reception, both buildings have really steep stairs though, so those with heavy bags/ mobility concerns may not wish to consider this place. The people working on the day and evening receptions were really polite and friendly though. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again; doesn't tick the "cheap and cheerful" box as seemed expensive for what it was. I'll finish on a positive; when you all out into the main roqd you can see the train station and get to the centre of town with the canals, within 10-15mins strolling.

It's good for a place to sleep, if that's all you're looking for then this is the place for you. Everything is pretty standard and it all works. Marked it as 3 stars because we had an exposed socket in our room…

Strong Urine smell all around the bed, they were offended that we would suggest the room hadn't been cleaned properly, only gave us another room for the 3rd night and then it was right at reception where the staff member made loud noises all night long! If I could give zero stars I would.

My room was okay. It was clean and the beds weren't broken or dirty. The shower didn't work — when I showered there was only steaming hot water. When my friend showered it was suddenly okay for about 2 minutes and after that it was only freezing cold. the others in our group had a bedroom for 6. Their bathroom was moldy. The room stank and was cold (a one-star from them). would I come again? maybe, but only if I got ensured a small room which I can look at first.

Nice clean smart hostel, quite loud at night but nothing unbearable.

Good value for money. Central Area.

At a central place, good location, the room is clean, beware of steep stairs. Some noise at night or early hours in the morning (waste disposal). Good price.

There's nothing terribly wrong with this place, but this is far from "great" for the price. Beds aren't particularly comfortable and power outlets aren't convenient. They made no effort to inform us that they've changed their name to 'Orange Tulip', leading to a lot of wasted searching.
