You get what you pay for, bed=room, no privacy in bathroom or toilet, very dirty.
21 Hostel offers private pods that can accommodate 1 or 2 persons. The hostel is clean and the bed is comfortable. Wifi connection is free and fast. They have a cafe on the ground floor that serves superb cheese sandwiches among others. Location is very close to 19th Street where all the lively pubs are located. About one hour walk going to Shwedagon Pagoda and Karaweik Palace. (You can take a taxi too. ) The staff are friendly and helpful and they speak English so they can help you with local travel information, bus ticket booking, etc. I highly recommend 21 Hostel.

Just I call their hostel to book for my friend long stay but who answered the call was very rude and shouted me. I said please be polite I just want to get full information about room and they hanged up without reply. Don’t recommend. It was a guy.
