Worst service I have ever experinced. Whenever I called them for booking, they asked me my phone number, name and even to send email three times. I keep sending email and gave my name adn phone no three times. And when I call them for fourth time, they still asked me the same as usual and I told why you keep asking mine info as I have given u three times, the recelieptionist replied me if it is hard book another hotel, he said.
What the hell!

It was clean and they were good people down there. Breakfast was good.

Second to none with cheap price. Stuff are friendly and eager to help. But, bit mosquitos in our room, I slapped and let died them.

I liked this place. That was about a year ago, on my last visit the place had gone to the dogs. Dirty room, which wasn't the one we booked that one had a dodgy aircon and they had the gaul to charge another 5000kyats cos it had a window which was so filthy you couldn' see out of it. I could go on but I'll just say I won't be going back. Next time I'll stay at Grand United chinatown.

Located in downtown area with reasonable room charges. They provide breakfast for all guest and also provide free Wi-Fi. Nearby is busiest area in Yangon and easy to go any place and easy to buying anything you needs.

The price and location are outstanding. The breakfast has a wide range of food including western food. The staff are very good and helpful and understand English. The rooms are very good for the price and well kept. Room was very quiet considering the noise in this area of the city. Will stay again!

A good Hotel to stay at Yangon citycenter and easy to go downtown by walking. Not cheap or expensive.

Great breakfast and comfortable bed! The staff are friendly and very accomodating. Arrived too early at 10am, but they let us to check in. Location is great and easy to find. Just say "near sule pagoda and city hall" and the taxi drivers will know immediately.

Unfortunately the place gives off a feeling of being unclean — first because all the rooms are carpeted (which have to be +25yrs old) and appear/are dirty. And it’s the carpeting that sets the unclean tone to the rooms/hotel. The bedcover had stains, which made it feel like the bedsheets were not clean either. The walls had splatter stains. The AC units don’t run well in several rooms (had to be moved a few times). HOWEVER the staff are very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Location is awesome — central to sites and restaurants.

I wasn't expecting very much from this hotel but it was located in very good area in Cental downtown Yangon and it was only going to be for one night at $52 USD, Double deluxe room, We stayed 3 nights in the Luxury Rose Garden Hotel the first 3 nights on the start of our trip around Myanmar. The City Star is a short walk down to Chinatown and the famous 19th Street, Something we didn't do from the Rose Garden, We were lucky that the last day of the Chinese New Year party was on, 16th of Feb. The hotel isn't 4 or 5 star so don't expect to much, The carpet is old but the bathroom had been modernised, The bed wasn't as hard that I would normally expect in Asia, Aircon was quite quiet as well, Had a good night sleep here, Our room 707 like the others had a small balcony with street views.
Breakfast was basic cornflakes, Toast and eggs, Asian food, Tea and Coffee, Some fruit.
Would I stay here again, Absolutely for what you get for and for the money a bargain, One of the better 3 star hotels, Great location. 10000 kyat taxi to to airport.

Clean and comfortable rooms in the best location we could have, just behind the town hall. Really value for money.

Buffet breakfast is good here. Rooms were kept clean everyday with daily refills of complimentary bottled water and coffee packs. Staffs and attendants were very polite and helpful.

Central Hotel, very welcoming staff, the rooms would need a carpet change!

Good hotel in the center of Rangoon.

Good location but not clean, service oriented like any other hotels in Myanmar. I spent 28 days in Myanmar this is the only place I gave 1 star and couldn’t sleep all night. Shower drain blocked, dusty bedroom, smelled like never used. My wife developed rashes by morning. I don’t recommend unless they keep it clean.

Well positioned in the city of Yangoun the reception is cold old entrance as the superior double room It is still good plan the location and the room very bright with view on the city of Yangoun.

It is a very central hotel. Is clean and the breakfast very complete.

The place was fine. Was neither here nor there. Better accommodations no doubt but definitely not the worst. Average for Yangon.

Excellent location just outside City Hall. Within a short walk to all the heritage buildings. Walking distance also to Shangri la mall and the Scott's market.

Good location, some staff are very helpful. We moved after first night (booked for 3) our aircon didn't work and other rooms they showed us had same problem. Breakfast was good.

Worst hotel ive been through, though some of the staff are respectful the hotel itself is kept in extremely poor conditions.

Clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff But. But. N Forgot the receipt, I paid my 2 nights on the first day and they only recorded the payment for the first night. So I have to repay. I'm out of me.

The City Star is in a very central location. From here you can go on foot or by bike to visit the metropolis of Yangon. Cleanliness could improve. Very friendly and efficient Reception. Friendly staff. Big problem is finding a parking lot to stop the car and load the suitcases. Very good value for money.

Not to good they pay back service for ur money.

They already changed the name to Orchid City Center Hotel. Hope the new owner will get more functional and pay more good service.
