This place is close to Medina and it only takes 10 minutes walk. The host Samir is very kind and has passion for his job. Anytime you need some advice he always helps you as soon as possible. The room is ok. There is a hair dryer.
We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Elli last week. It is located around 15 minutes walk from the centre of Marrakesh which really suited us. You have to walk along some narrow, dusty streets to get to to the Riad, but as soon as you are inside it is like an oasis. We had two rooms which were in traditional Moroccan style. As others have said, this is not 5* luxury, but traditional accommodation at a good price. The host, Samir was the best, very helpful and made the best breakfast. The roof terrace was very nice and a great place to go in the evening. All in all, a great base to explore Marrakesh.

Riad Elli is way too different from how it appears in the photos. The rooms are small, cold and gloomy. You cannot keep the windows open as other boarders passing through the corridor can look inside your room. The rooms and washrooms are very poorly lit. As this riad is in a very small area hence anyone passing down the stairs or other boarders chatting in the common area can be a bit noisy and annoying sometimes.
The staffs are helpful and friendly.
The lanes to the Riad are shady and small.
If you are ordering dinner from the Riad do ask the price first before ordering. We ordered one chicken tagine with vegetables and they charged us for 2 people.
