Riad Dar Sido

I had a short yet very sweet stay at Riad Dar Sido. The location is great as I have relatives that live in this area of the new city. The staff here is outstanding especially Soufiane! He has such great positive energy that is very genuine and rare.

My father stayed at this Riad and his experience could not have been better. From the very first moment he felt welcomed and well taken care of. The place itself is charming, peaceful, and carefully maintained – perfect for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
We would especially like to highlight the outstanding service provided by Mohammed, whose professionalism and kindness made all the difference. He was always attentive, ready to help with anything needed, and ensured that every aspect of the stay was excellent. His warm yet highly professional manner gave a real sense of trust and comfort throughout.
We can only give the most positive feedback about this Riad and, of course, about Mohammed’s great work. Without a doubt, we highly recommend it and would be delighted to return.

We had a great stay! The staff was very kind and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The accommodation was clean and well-maintained, and the pool was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant experience – we would definitely come back!

Charming and Peaceful Stay.
Riad Dar Sido is a hidden gem—beautifully decorated, quiet, and welcoming. The staff were kind and attentive, and the atmosphere felt truly authentic. Highly recommended for a relaxing Marrakech experience.

Riad very lovely place, rooms lovely, bed comfy. Shower and bathroom great. Only down full was TV wasn't good and fridge door wouldn't shut.
Family run and very friendly could not fault. Helpful too.
Even a friendly tortoise that pops out now and then.

Lovely Riad with friendly staff and lovely rooms. Nicely out of the busy Medina but easy walking distance to the Medina and to lots of local restaurants. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

One word — amazing!
We arrived late after midnight and Abdel was waiting for us. He carried our bags and quickly checked us in. The location is perfect, very close to the centre but in a well developed and quiet street. We loved it as we didn't want to stay within the noisy streets of Medina. The taxi from here to medina costs 39 dirhams (3 USD /Eur) maximum, day and night.
We initially got a room underground (deluxe double) but when I politely asked to change, Wadeed at the reception immediately upgraded us to a suite on the 2nd floor.
The rooms are very spacious, clean and look exactly like the pictures. Bathroom was nice and had fresh towels. Running hot water all the time. Some people complain about the water pressure but this is the case everywhere in Morocco as the plumbing in the city are 100 years old, didn't bother us at all.
Breakfast area, terrace, lounge chair perfect for relaxing after a long day. The breakfast was delicious and fresh.
Staff are amazing — Abdel, Hassan and specially Wadeed, always with a smile and will look after you.
Only one thing that bothered us just a little a bit was the sound insulation, you can hear people in the room next to you but again this is very common in the riads. We were just quiet at night so we didn't disturb the neighbours and they were also very respectful and didn't make any noise.
If I come back to Marrakesh, I will stay with them in a heartbeat <3

Sorry to have to write this but I feel if someone is thinking of spending their hard earned money and booking this Riad they should be aware of our experience. Initially my wife and I booked for 4 nights with very high hopes based on the previous Trip Advisor reviews and limited reviews on other sites. The entrance of the hotel is unassuming but as we entered we were pleasantly surprised at the lovely authentic looking decor. Once we met the manager / owner (I'm not sure which) he was very friendly, offered us some mint tea and showed us to our Garden Room. Once we entered the room our opinion changed (should have taken pictures). The room felt dark, musty and claustrophobic. It was as if it had not been opened in a while and the bathroom was in a very poor state. We were then offered an alternative room named Erdouf (or something similar) which was not much better. The ceiling was clad in bamboo which instead of adding to the riad feel, kept shedding debris on the bed which was not pleasant. The satellite TV did not work, the fridge was extremely noisy and the bathroom was again very poor. The hand-shower on the toilet was missing, the sink hole unpleasant, the shower itself was unstable, leaked and was covered in limescale and rust. The manager said he would try to get us a different room once more in the morning which was good but our confidence was gone.

The service is great. Location is ideal. 10 min to the old medina. Younes and Widad are great hosts and cater to all your needs. Many different types of rooms as well. The view from the rooftop is amazing. You can clearly see the Atlas Mountains. Would definitely recommend it!

“I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The reality was nothing like the beautiful photos shown online. The rooms were poorly maintained, the cleanliness was subpar, and the service was unprofessional. The amenities advertised were either unavailable or in terrible condition. This experience felt misleading and not worth the price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. ”

The most stunning hotel you'll ever visit in your life! Beautiful! Honestly, we couldn't have been more happy with our stay. Amazing experience from start to finish. Staying in such a beautiful and stylish Riad only enhanced our visit to Marrakech. Couldn't recommend it more. Could stay there forever!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful place! All the details áre amazingly curated. Staff super friendly. The breakfsst was really good and delicious.
The pool is a must in marocco!
High end rooms.

Riad Dar Sido was an alright place to stay during our visit to Marrakech. The decor and rooms are beautiful but two things put me off, hence my lower rating. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal and there was a serious bug problem throughout the floor of the bedroom. Apart from this, the residence was good and the rooftop area is also very nice.

Had an excellent stay here. The facilities are beautiful, the staff are very friendly, and they’re very accommodating. In addition, they’re very close to a unique and cool nook of Marrakech where all the young Moroccans hang out which was awesome to explore and some of the best food we had on the entire trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Younes!

Overall a wonderful stay! Very clean and staff is welcoming. Great location too. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Marrakesh.

The service was perfect! The only thing I regret was the room…. I was not able to sleep properly as we can ear everything. It’s like my neighbors was in my room. It’s was a bit annoying. Also, the room was a bit small and the breakfast was almost the same. I had only once a croissant that we have to share with my husband. I would suggest to improve the breakfast and the rooms and the Riad will be amazing! In my opinion it was a bit expensive for what we got.

WONDERFUL! Love at first sight.
Amazing staff (Wydad reception, Younes the manager, night shift Abdellatif and I unfortunately didnt catch the rest of the staff’s names)
Very helpful and welcoming.
Rooms are super clean and super cute well decorated (special mention for the doors and gates that look like they’re coming straight from the 14th century)
Location is GIANT PLUS, the authenticity of a riad style guest house (no patio but who cares! ) without all the hustle of Old Medina…
I would definitely come back!
