Dishonest Hotel housekeeping staff. I left my headphones in the hotel room and I checked out and discovered it an hour later and checked with the hotel. They said my headphones are not in the hotel room. How can it be when I didn't take the headphones out of the room before when I stayed there? Really upset as my headphones are costly one. The reception staff also wasn't helpful at all with a can't be bothered attitude. Only the porters are nice, friendly and helpful but I will never stay in this hotel ever again 😡😡😡

Called and booked for Buffet Dinner for 2. Even double confirmed the price for buffet 50/pax. Ended up they don’t serve buffet that night. Only set meals. We sat there and waited for almost 10 mins, nobody bothered to serve us. I had to walk to the counter to clarify all this.

First time for Hi-tea. Kind of disappointed. Stuff wasn't kept full all the time. Had to always wait for items. They had Sushi but was only vegetarian not the good ones. Vinnz did a good job at checking on items when asked.

My pleasure stay in this hotel. Old hotel but still well maintained. Spacious rooms for family with kids. Got complimentary fruits and 3 can drinks in the fridge. And also Rm30 voucher for spa. My kids enjoy playing at the kids playground. While I am enjoy pampering myself at their spa. The only bad things is the swimming pool is closed for 1 week.

Ballroom staff are so lazy. Stand aside without serve customer. Just keeo stand and look, does not help and serve. Worst service ever.

Held the PFS Orientation Ball here on 6/7/19, great environment and service not to forget nice food that was served.

Organised an event on 22nd June and the service very bad. We booked for 100 pax and the management only had 2 waitress with 2 senior FB incharge. One Bangla guy to serve 100 pax and no one to even pour drinks. Even not one person incharge for 2 vip tables. Extremely disappointed with your hotel and will not recommend this for events. Yet the in charge person can tell me there are 3 events. Well that's not our problem as youe management should plan and provide sufficient workers. Vegetarian food for vip table came 35 minutes late as our lunch is at 12. Portion was small n I don't understand if the chef needs 30 minutes to prepare bowl of white rice a small bowl of shall 2 samaso and a spoonful of mix Vege. I did not expect an hotel with this bad service. Very disappointed and will not come again.

Good accomodation and its suit my family needs. All staff are good. It have all facilities including swimming pool, gym, kids playing room, Jacuzzi, sauna n others also. It just that I cant see sea view anymore at gurney drive since construction under progress.

It's an old hotel but rooms are pretty good and spacious with sea view. Bar with live music and dance is good. Breakfast is not that great.

Seaview is unfortunately being reclaimed. The minibar has a jug for ice cubes and bathrobes.

Unfortunately, the double room is only given one.

An ironing rack and iron are available. A room that is a superior class is indeed better than other hotels.

Love the varieties of food for buffet. It is a great place for family or any social gatherings. Perhaps offer more vegan and gluten free options.

Nice location, friendly staff, very comfortable and clean room. The price is quite affordable when compared to hotels with around the same standard. Room is very well maintained, fully furnished with fridge and TV that has local channels and a movie channel. They provide complimentary fruit and drinks everyday, and a local newspaper.

The space is big but old, especially the carpet is old and dirty and scary. Shampoo super dry, to remember to bring their own hair yam! Several rooms have a washbasin blocked! Breakfast is ordinary but you can eat enough. All the drinks were soon gone, telling the staff after the replenishment was very slow! I asked for hot chocolate or milo, and the service staff just said "no" quickly! Have been to so many restaurants this is the first not, and so casual response! The location of the hotel is convenient in the city. After two nights, the two female staff members who met at the counter had a very poor attitude! One of me asked how to get around and didn't want to help me at all. In addition, check-out encountered the woman counter is also very poor attitude, do not want to ignore your room light only dim yellow light, even if the lights all open the whole room or again dim, quite inconvenient.

One of my most visited hotels, as the buffet here is above average and the food is worth the price. The toilet here is A++ as it is clean and stylish as well. The staffs here are quite friendly and are always ready to be of an assistance. The hotel has a bistro as well as a gift shop. So far one of the best hotels in Penang.

Attended a wedding dinner at the ballroom. Chinese course dinner is very nice. Service is good and staff are courteous and helpful. Wheelchair friendly. Parking lots available both outside and inside the gotel building.

The rate is ok, hotel room is clean, breakfast is satisfactory, location is good, although the sea view now is no longer great because of the construction.

The old five-star hotel, unfortunately the front is not professional, blunt speech, clothing is not clean. The other is good, the price is very high.

Dated old 4 star hotel with best view in the area, while it lasts, and still offers value for the non fashion /design minded good t. V. Selection and good size rooms with sea views, little things like auto bidet Japanese style, and shoe. Cleaning pad, big pool, tennis court, spa And live music all be it not my taste no rockabilly or reggae. A top hotel in 1980's still holding on for the silver surfer generation.

The buffet has a large variety of delicious smelling food and extraordinary looking dishes, the chefs and waiters are extremely patient and kind. The restaurant is sanitary and clean. I feel at home in this lovely hotel.

Although it’s an old hotel in Penang, it’s well maintain and their breakfast have plenty of local food such as roti canai and mee.

We booked a five-star hotel. Unfortunately check-in only three star level, and showers, there is the bathroom of the sewer jams, feedback after the room changed, although two single beds slightly larger, sofa also added a long sofa, but also only four star standards. Transportation is also not very convenient.

Very nice to stay and have lunch over there. Recommended to have a try lunch there. Various food and drink to choose.

The staff here is excellent. Mr Raymond from front desk is superbly friendly and helpful during check in. And the the hotel staff of Niranjan was great as well. That’s us being in the hotel less than 30 mins. Truly one of the best experience.

Good place, nice sea view. Need to improve the booking info communication process. Also the reception personal mood. 4 stars rating is for place, food, nice waitress, Smiling chefs. I would like to give a huge thanks to Evergreen Laurel hotel for excellent 5 star service offering as my stay there have ever been more condusive and welcoming due to the friendly and lovely staff who turn out to be a good friends of mine in a short while. I have enjoyed my stay here yet have gain more than what I paid for and I would like to recommend anyone outhere who is looking for a true 5 star service offering then Evergreen chains of hotel would be the place for you as their operations are all about tiering the service to the Guest expectations. We had a great time at the Evergreen. Staff could not be more helpful. Buffet breakfast was amazing. One night we tried the buffet dinner, what a spread, best service, food again was amazing.
Would defiantly stay again.

It's a nice place. My family likes to lunch here. All food very nice and we can choose what food we want to eat. My sons like ice cream. They can put into the bowl which colour they want. All the waiter and waitress very kind.

Good breakfast! Choose more, there are fried egg service, cook noodles themselves …, both Chinese and western style.

Nice set up par w 3.5 star, but 2 single bedroom is rather small that doesn't match the overall room charge of RM 120 per night.

Only been here 2.5 hours and I'm already feeling annoyed. Firstly, when we got to our room, the door was open and there were no bedside lights and there were some leftover rubbish. Didn't think too much about it yet. Was then taking a nap n put a DND light on when the phone rang n they said they will send their technician over to fix the lights. Even though I didn't like to be disturbed, I still accepted their service. 10 minutes later, still no one. I had to call their reception again to send someone to my room. Funny thing was after the technicians were done, they left d power drill in my room. I then called the reception to ask them to get someone to pick it up (a bit annoyed because the front desk staff who were foreigners tried to ask me if I could speak Chinese because they didn't understand my request. I'm Malaysian after all, why do I need to present my request in Chinese in a Malaysian hotel. ). After saying they would send someone to pick up the drill, I waited a good 15 minutes and still no one came before I couldn't take it and sent the drill down to the reception myself. Don't know if they're understaffed but this hasn't been pleasant so far… poor communication has given my stay here a bad start.

Nice hotel. Good buffet. Love the way that serve the sashimi there. The counter slice the fish in front of you. Many places they prepare in the kitchen, so this is definitely fresher.

Love this place. Been here since young. Dont feel that this hotel has aged at all! Beds are huge and comfortable. Facilities are top notch. Includes a tennis court and indoor kids play area as well. Walking distance to foods and shopping malls.

Clean and easy parking. The hotel facilities is good. Room interior classic and old, can be improved. But the size of the standard room really is huge, and the bed is comfy too. Breakfast can be improved though for 5 star rated hotel. The fruit choices and salad limited choice, not worth if you guys looking for a good breakfast.

It is indeed a 5 star hotel with good food and clean rooms. The location is nearby to Gurney Drive where a lot of hawkers' food stalls located.

Food is inconsistent based on theme. Sometimes pales in comparison to other hotels, sometimes excellent. Wi-Fi is fast. The General Manager is nice. I've been into the underground area where staffs work and overall, they're nice and the way they do their job is splendid. Worth a stay here. P. S. I love their seafood.

Breakfast pales in comparison to the numerous delicious food right outside the hotel. But service and amenities is excellent and they are always ready to lend the extra hand and go the small extra mile. I asked for a high floor and they gave me the highest floor!

Im just a normal supplier, who wanted to introduce myself, my company and my product. The purchasing manager Mr Eric Tan, is a rude person, he hanged up the phone right before I finished a sentence. When I asked about why he so abruptly hang up my phone he said "So? " So I'm writing this comment entry to say that a staff doesn't matter if ita from behind the scenes or front line staff, every staff is crucial to a business success and company's image. Mr Eric Tan the purchasing manager is a rude person, he does not even accept his apology, and not a courtesy greet like Good Afternoon Most of my Sales friends has the same experience he is not warmth, he is not friendly and above all else he is rude.

Rooms were dated, everything was dated. I felt dated, after waiting to check in. Prepaid on arrival, and was charged again for incidentals upon leaving. (Which I didn't use).

It was ok. Free Wi-Fi is good enough for youtube. Staff was pleasant. The sink drain was clogged. Water in bathroom seems not so clean. Food and pool was just ok. The only highlight is the sea view.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything in the room works. They keep the hotel very clean. It's conveniently located on Gurney Drive putting restaurants, stores, movie theaters, and temples within easy reach while being far enough away from Gurney Plaza to escape the noise and traffic. My preferred hotel when I visit Penang.
