We shared at the InterContinental Almaty for 5 nights during our visit to Almaty.
Our rooms were comfortable, and spacious.
The service of all the staff was very nice, and warm.

The rooms are slightly outdated, but they still give a luxurious and comfortable feel. The staff is very friendly, polite, and helpful, which makes a big difference in the overall experience.

Lovely hotel just a few mins car / taxi from the cable car that takes you to the top of the mountain. Location is wonderful.
Rooms are spacious and clean and service is excellent.

We stayed at Shymbulak Hotel with our family for four days and truly loved the experience. The hotel is very cute—nothing fancy, but with a unique and charming style that makes it feel special.

We visited Shymbulak Resort for skiing, and it turned out to be a very nice and cozy place to stay.

The location is bit far from the city but the view make the place worth it to travel. The suite we took was quite spacious for 2 Adults and 1 children with smart home control in the capsule.

Location is far from central amaty city, but its worth it with the view. Staff is very helpfull, the smallest capsul room is enough for 2 person 1 kid.

Good hotel in a central neighborhood of Almaty. My room was clean and quiet, with complimentary bottled water and a small hospitality tray with a tea kettle.

My first visit to Kazakhstan in early October — I chose Mercure for the first three nights for its convenient location and clean, hygienic look.

We are pleasantly surprised by some of the staff. The one that stood out for us was Adel at reception.
It was a shock when we arrived and there was no air con.

Walking distance to a nearby park with a historic church in the park. Hotel is recently upgraded and good enough for a 4 star.

The location was perfect — it is close to many restaurants, supermarkets, and even popular tourist spots in the city, which made everything very convenient for us.

This resort has my heart, we booked 4 rooms (mountain views) stayed for 5 nights and had one of the best moments of our lives. We did receive 2 days of snow, 1 day of rain while staying here.

I stayed at here from feb 14-20, 2026 and it was excellent! it was nearby to a lot of shops and restaurants and even a park. Breakfast has a lot of options and everything was yummy.

Hotel is new and cozy. Free drinking water refill with nice bed equipped. Hotel staff very nice and kind.

Overall it was a great experience The food was great the designs and architecture of the room has a comfy feeling and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I had a wonderful experience.

Towels and robes are changed daily; cleaning is available, but the quality is average (water stains in the bathroom and dust on the floor).

Overall, it's a decent, fairly new hotel. The location is good, equidistant from the main attractions. Good public transportation access.
It's not entirely clear how the air conditioning works.

The hotel is everything you want in a hotel, excellent location, delicious food, well appointed rooms with a mini bar and most importantly friendly and efficient staff.

Comfy room, especially by comparison to der establishments, but nothing to shout about. Location is a winner for me as it is near a metro and not too far to the airport. Superb breakfast.

There's no soundproofing, so the room would definitely be cramped for two. I unpacked my suitcase and ran out of room.

Good location. Right across there is a huge mall Forum. 10 min from dostyk plaza.

Everything is fine in the lobby but once you go up the lift to u floor, the corridor carpet is too old and once you get into your own room the carpet is still that old.

They asked us to move from kitchen saying "the breakfast will start". We were not gonna try to get it free, it was rude. Also if we want, we can pay. Except for that, rooms were good.

I was there for an event, but it was well set up with old style hotel. It was cozy with the cold winter outside. The staff freindly and helpful.

To be honest selected this hotel accidentally but it proved to be a great choice.

We stayed there for 2 nights… choose this hotel as this was the pick up location for panda travels. Room was small… we had to leave at 5 am for charyn canyon trip.

Staff doesn't speak English. You have to download Russian in Google Translate. Lobby located at the back. Room is very clean. Lots of restaurant. Easy to take bus.

Resident Hotel is a comfortable and friendly place to stay, located in a quiet residential area on Ulitsa Taktarova.
