Almaty Hotel

Went there for international meeting in Kazakh-British Technical University.
Great Mountain View from my balcony.
Love the breakfast foods, plenty of choices.
Souvenir shop on ground level outside of hotel if you not manage to find one.

Eventhough the property is situated at best location and best amenities. Front office staffs are not professional. They are very particular about the view of their hotel. In the Check in date, adjacent room member has put their cloths for driying in the balcony. Without checking the room number they accuse us to remove the same from balcony. Even though we told them we had not put the cloths, they insist us to check that. Later based on clarification they tendered upology.
Last day of our stay, all the keys of the rooms are deactivated before check out time. Which made us to go down to reactivate the keys.
Need more refinement from front.
Till the date of check out, cloths of adjacent room stays in the same position 😁. Seems they are not concerned of the same after the incident.

Every day has construction. No solution from FO staff and they asked me to understand. Are you kidding me? I paid for room not for sympathy. They hang up my phone without notice as well. I booked via agency, if I have a chance, I wish I will never come back.

Very cozy stay, bit dated but very much function big room size, nice bathroom and just opposite to Opera, take public bus (12) from very close street for Mededu, and Kok tobe, so three great attraction are very much reachable from this Hotel.
We reached to Hotel middle in the night, and they accommodated us by charging 50% one night charges. Hotel is value for money, Chef at restaurant during breakfast is very much accommodative and arrange something for us as we are strictly vegetarian. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great property at great location. You get a clear view of the Opera House in front and also get to scenic view of mountains. Would love to stay again here.
Services also good here, cash withdrawal machine available so no need to search currency exchanger.

SUMMARY: excellent hotel, location and rooms. Highly recommend and would stay here again. I think this should be a 4* hotel.
PROS:
1. Rooms excellent condition and modern.
2. Central location (restaurants, cafes, things to do etc)
3. Polite and professional staff.
CONS:
1. Breakfast average: both types of eggs cold both days; bread not great selection or quality.
2. Cheapest rooms would be a tight fit for 2 people.

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The superior twin room I stayed in was really spacious, clean and everything is working perfectly. View from the balcony is amazing.
Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety. Location is top notch, right in the centre of the city. Good selection of restaurants nearby and also walking distance to the metro.
Highly recommended.

This place was amazing. I had a great room, very spacious. Pillows, comfy. Bed comfy. Full length of the room windows from floor to ceiling. They lead out to a great balcony. I had super views of the mountains. They would leave 4 bottles of water in my room most days.
Reception were very helpful.
The location was great. Plenty of parks, cafes and wine bars in walking distance. Mini mart close by. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Location is nice one nearby many cafes and sightseeing, rooms and service is good, but the only minus is breakfast: lacks variety, seems cheap and not very good quality, also sometimes too many people and no space to sit down. If breakfast is not important, then a good deal.

Rooms are a bit old and noisy (generator was running all day at the back)
Service three stars as they kept asking if my wife is really a guest in my room.

The best thing in the room was the bed, but the shabby and old carpet was stained and worn out so much that you didn’t even want to walk around in slippers. The room really needs renovation. The bathroom (shower stall) was cracked + when moving in it was very dirty and I asked for it to be washed. The room itself is microscopic in size, it gives the impression that for the same money you can easily rent a cool apartment across the street.
Dirty worn carpet. Cleaning was not regular and every time they caught us at the elevator and asked if it was needed. Yes, it is needed according to regulations, not on demand!
Had to ask to clean the bathroom twice.

A good hotel. Rooms are clean and big with good view. Breakfast is good. You can get everything nearby. Spend good time in behind street.

This 1 star is only for the GM of the property.
Most pathetic hotel to visit in summers. Acs are ofnpoor quality, no amenities. Room service is damn poor. Reception staff (especially males are damn pathetic). Technical staff is poor. This property does not deserve a 3 star certification.

Room is fine. Location is great. The services need to improve we had power off for two hours at night and Wi-Fi is very slow.
