Cheap hotels in Osaka Prefecture

Definitely the most social hostel I’ve been to in my 3 month Japan trip. The staff is also super helpful with recommendations and anything you need especially Catalina.

As a solo traveler, it was nice to arrive at a hostel where there’s social events on in the evenings with other guests.

Its a Hostel, the shared space is enough for 5-6 people to sit at the main table and enjoy a drink/dinner. The shared spaces are clean and the rooms were clean besides the amount of dust in the room.

I stayed for about 4 days. The real star of the show here is the service. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and kind. They spoke English and we're always helpful.

Extremely nice hostel. The staff were always so friendly and kind. I stayed in a room with several beds, but it was very comfortable and I slept well.

Very good location and clean room. The downside is the sound proofing is abit lacking can hear neighbor chatting/snoring at night😆Still I would return as other then that it is all positive.

The place was very nice and close to the train subway. There are familymarts in a 10 minute walk and 7/11 just 3 mins away in the station.

Great hotel with a very reasonable price. The place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Although the room is a capsule, it’s not too cramped and there is enough space to place your luggage.

The nicest hostel I've ever been to! The dorms are gender separated with no mixed dorm options. The capsules themselves were clean and cozy with trash removed daily and new towels offered daily.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy staying in a capsule hotel this much! J-Ship Capsule Hotel was exceptionally clean, quiet, and surprisingly comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at J-SHIP Hotel. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax.

Very very clean, staff were easy to communicate with even though it’s self check in/check out. Good location about 15 minutes to namba/dontonburi.

This place is awesome! A little hard to find, it was worth the trouble. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the service was very good. Location was the best!

A few walk and you're at the river already, super convenient. Me and my family stayed here for 2 nights. In this hotel, men separate from women beds.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Osaka!

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yodoyabashi was such a smart choice for staying in Osaka.

Very clean. Desk is helpful and attentive. One associate offered an umbrella on a rainy day which was very thoughtful and kind.

Friendly staff and good location. Train exit is walking distance. Room size is acceptable and good breakfast option where we can take them if we like to eat on our way to see attractions.

最高の hotel! I love this hotel!

This was the second Richmond hotel that we stayed during our holiday. The first was in Nagoya and we liked it. Similarly we liked the experience here.

Richmond Hotel Higashi-Osaka deserves a full five stars!

Exceptional hotel. Great location! Close to train station. Service was wonderful. Great customer experience. Easy check in at desk with an English friendly staff. Room was perfect size.

Great location in Shinsaibashi, only 5 mins away from the station. The rooms were large for two people by the standards in Japan and they provided all the amenities we needed including pyjamas.

Staying at Hotel Trad was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, the warm, attentive staff made me feel like royalty. Our room was impeccably clean, with plush bedding and stunning views.

Clean and simple. Very close to dotonbori, metro station and namba area.
The room was very compact just like other hotels in japan.
The staff were exceptionally nice and made us feel welcomed.

Rooms were comfortable, clean and provided useful amenities. The staff was friendly enough but there was limited interaction as check-in was done through the machine.

Super convenient location, very near two train stations (brown line and red line) so commuting was really easy. Also very near a Lawson.

Very nice hotel, they changed our towels and made are beds every day, they offered luggage storage on arrival and departure if you come before check in or if your flight is after check out.

This is by far the most enthusiastic and service-minded front desk staff I’ve ever met — they truly bring the whole hotel to life and make it feel warm and welcoming.

Stayed for 2 nights right after landing in Osaka.

Was looking for place to in Osaka and found this gem, price was decent snd so was the room size, there’s Lawson and don quito near by if any amenities is needed.

Good location. Just one station from Osaka station and really short walk from the station. Really convenient to travel there with a big suitcase.

The hotels location is excellent, 2-3 mins from Tsukamoto station, which is 1 station away from Osaka station and 2 away from Shin Osaka, making train journeys extremely comfortable.

Relatively close to dotonbori and shinsaibashi. And even just a few mins away from the station exit. You can cook and wash your clothes during your stay. Cooking utensils are available at the lobby.

Hotel Review – Sakura Sand Hotel (March 31 — April 3, 2025)
We stayed at Sakura Sand Hotel for 3 nights and would like to share our experience.

This is now my 3rd time staying in this hostel and from the very first time I have made life long friends from around the world.

I came to Osaka as a tourist, but the place I enjoyed the most during my trip was Hotel Toyo.

Really good place close to station and supermarket. Nice area in Osaka a few stations down of namba, so it’s central. Love everything.

We had a great time in this apartment. Location is ver good, 2 min walk from metro station and 10 min walk from train station.

I stayed in a party room with karaoke, and it was very cheap and enjoyable.
It is also convenient that there is a supermarket nearby.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a wonderful experience! The rooms are incredibly cozy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The place is easy to locate just a walking distance from the station. The staffs are helpful and polite. There is a free drink area on the 2nd floor you can enjoy everything including beer.

Convenient place to stay for the night before our flight in the morning at Kansai airport! Complimentary bus provided to the airport at certain scheduled times.
