I did stayed there few nights. Very relaxing place. Staff speaks good English, Very nice breakfast, after take tea outside and enjoy stunning views. We did not have bathroom in our room, so for bath/shower You have to use Onsen, thats amazing. Highly recommended.

Good location hotel in the morning can see many frog and near pirate ship and ropeway recommend to take rope to see sulfur spring and eat black eggs.

Perfectly located for the start of the Hakone Ropeway and Cruise Ship from Lake Ashi. The staff and service were outstanding and was one of the largest traditional rooms we had seen. Dinner was traditional Japanese with a mixed of sushi, grilled tofu, salads and meat. The onsen was wonderful with guests having the option of indoor and outdoor onsen baths (individual and group) and sauna. Most guests stay for one night but would thoroughly recommend a two night stay.

I would give give stars. There is a smokers room before the spa area which sinks so bad like cigarettes. Rooms located over this room will smell like horrible cigarettes smoke. On top there is no elevator in the hotel you will have to carry your heavy luggage around until your rooms. Staff is friendly, only one staff member spoke very hard understandable English. Price is high for a night. Spa area is beautiful and you have a outside area which smells like the sulphur springs. If you don't have a car you can't find around the hotel any open shops or restaurants. Everything closes at 17.00h. So you might have to eat the predefined dinner menu of the hotel. The food was ok but not worth 20€ per person. Make sure you have a car. Buses go to town, but at evening they are chilling every 40 min. Cabs are very expensive and they don't have navigation systems and are very old and slow. There is sometimes a strange noise coming from the volcano. The hotel its in a beautiful place, the rooms are typical Japanese you make the bed your self and everything is on the floor. You have a tea kettle and tea. You will get a yukata and a bathing bag with toothbrush and essentials for spa. Toilets and rooms are clean and modern. Your have vending machines.

二階建てのこぢんまりしたお宿でした。 客室数がさほど多くないので、静かな雰囲気です。 元々国民宿舎だったそうですが、リフォームされていて、清潔感がありました。 むだなスペースなどないのに、狭さを感じない作りです。 露天風呂には、ジャグジーがありました。 空をいっぱい感じることができ、適度な開放感とお忍び感がありました。 また来たいですね！

Nice rooms, great food, nice hot spring and walking distance to the gondola and lake cruise boat dock.

It was pretty good. Service was fine. The view is fantastic.

スタッフの対応は全体的に優しく親切でとても良い印象です。和牛溶岩焼き思ったより量があったので十分楽しめました。料理も全体的に満足です。遊覧船やロープウェイ乗り場が近くて便利です。チェックアウト後もしばらく車を置かせてもらえるので駐車場の心配もありません。 (ロープウェイ乗り場の近くの駐車場はどこも満杯で車で来られた方は大変そうでした。) ホテルの敷地も広くて散策等も楽しめます。ただ今回泊まったお部屋はユニットバス付の洋室ツインで荷物や服を収納するスペースがあまりない点が少し残念でした。お風呂はまあまあ良かったですが、夜11時半以降朝5時半まで入れないのが少し不便ですね。テラス等からの眺めはとても良いですね。

Went there as part of the tour to see the gondola. They offered a nice set menu. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

An ideal hotel to spend a night since there is not much to do around the area. It is recommended to book for dinner on it as there are no restaurants in the area. And the "onsen" is quite an experience… Very friendly staff.

Good quality for a 3 star hotel. Nice restaurant. Close to stations for lake cruise and Hakone Ropeway.

Relaxing place to stay for a couple nights, big and clean onsen, multi course dinner and buffet breakfast, next to both the ropeway and boat dock. Would probably be a bit boring if staying for more than a couple nights (no bar)

Short stop during our tour. We had a small lunch there and it was nice. The view here is amazing.

Nice hotel with really good SPA area. It´s close to the amazing lake & ropeway station. Food is typically Japanese. Unfortunately, staff do hardly speak English. Rooms are okay, but bathroom is really tiny and plastic.

Good location near Togendai station. Good service as they honored even something that was an error in the reservation. Good quality rooms although it would be much better if each room has its own toilet. What was disappointing was that we paid for dinner (supposedly same menu for everyone) and we saw some people with better food without explanation.

The rooms are really good, but the bathroom is shared by the whole floor. The hot baths are amazing. The dinner is quite good, but some tables receive other food than the one on the menu, but there was no word of why it was like that. The staff is very nice but few speaks fluid English.

Lovely bath and beautiful view of lake but hard to get to. For English speakers, staff don't speak too much. Restaurant you can't walk into, have to make reservation day before and there is no bar to just drink and relax at If you stay here I recommend getting a Hakone free pass as it is far away from everything. The baths are beautiful though. Both indoor and outdoor.

If you seek peace and seclusion, this place is what… especially for older people. We are 40ig and looking for something quiet, but next to this hotel there is hardly anything, and certainly nothing to eat or drink. Even the hotel restaurant is closed from 9pm and there is no bar. The bathroom is OK, but in our taste little detail has been created in love. The ball-like steam bath on the pictures of the website is not very inviting, because there are only 6 white and rather uncomfortable plastic chairs. The rooms are OK and the service, as practically everywhere, very nice and helpful. The question of whether we would go back, we would deny.

Nice hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Half board included with a delicious dinner. Very nice onsen and clear views from the room (with the lake that is hinted). The comfortable bed. Near the cable car and the ferry port of Lake Ashi.

Lovely view and food is good.
