Hakone Hotels

Truly worth a stay here if you visit Hakone. There's 2 bus stops right outside the hotel, the staff are professional, they spoke both fluent English and Chinese, and were very accommodating.

Make sure to check in early if you want to book a private onsen. They have three, only the big one accommodates three people or more, the other two just two.

We love our experience during our stay. The service was exceptional, staff was so friendly and nice. We had teppanyaki for dinner, the food was cooked in front of us. All the ingredients was so fresh.

Hakone is a gem in its own right, and this special place immersed us in authentic Japanese traditions from the moment we arrived.

They were extremely nice with us, I enjoyed the dinner and breakfast so much.

Ten-yu was amazing. Service was superb and also the facilites, like the shuttle-bus and the restaurants. I only stayed for one night and I wish I stayed longer, even though pricy.

Our stay in Hakone Kowakien Tenyu was more than perfect. Service is of the very high standard and staff is so friendly.

The property and cabins are so zen. I loved my stay here. The villas have a wood burning stove and private onsen. Very spacious and I’d stay here again :)

I came here for hot springs. I did not stay here. They have private bath. I couldn't use public bath for religious reasons. You can go for private bath with the additional charge of 2200 yen.

The guesthouse has a warm, traditional charm with a relaxing onsen. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like home.

The best hidden gem in Hakone! The host was so welcoming and communicative. Our room was very spacious and the bonus private onsen was awesome.

Terrific hosts and an ideal location for your stay. Highly recommended. The hotel was across the street from the port for the Lake Ashi cruise ships, and a short walk to restaurants.

This is a lovely and cozy onsen ryokan run by a kind elderly lady. When we arrived, our room was already prepared and spotlessly clean.

Our stay at Suiun was honestly one of the best ryokan experiences we’ve ever had. We’ve stayed at a few onsen ryokans across Japan, but this one was the most memorable one.

We loved everything about this hotel. A short but very uphill walk from Gora Station. We checked our shoes at the front desk and it was all awesomeness from there on!

Started from Tokyo to Gotemba Premium Outlets, and then bus took me right in front of hotel. The location is ideal and easy to get around.

This was a lovely place to spend a night. Very relaxed and zen. The deco was very minimalist. The down side you could not eat in the restaurant there because it had to be pre-booked.

We had an amazing 2 nights stay here, enjoyed the onsen, the traditional ryokan feeling and the food, not to forget the amazing service from Yuy (sorry for butchering the name).

This was a great experience for us! The Ryokan Yushintei is near Hakone-Yumoto Station, about 5-10 minutes by taxi aprox.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The Japanese-style room was very spacious, clean and beautiful. We also really liked the small onsen in our room, which was pleasantly warm.

Our stay at the Hakone Kowakien Hotel in April was truly wonderful. The cool, cloudy weather added a peaceful charm to the entire experience, making it the perfect setting to relax and unwind.
