Owner is helpful, but limited english. He is quite helpful, even when there is a language barrier. Would have liked a bit more information/help during dinner and what is what at the dinner. Papers in English is posted everywhere else but the dinner.
The entire ryokan is rather old, but the bath is warm and just what you need after bicycling an entire day! The rooms are in much better condition than the "common areas" and are without a fault except for the shower area which have not aged well. No matter, since the bath is what you use anyway! The views are amazing!

Very pleasant experience, the proprietors were friendly and welcoming and the food excellent. It's a great location on the seafront and handy for the Shimanami Kaido.
