Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station was a really lovely experience.

We had a fantastic stay at DoubleTree Kyoto Station. The property takes great care of loyal Diamond members, and we certainly appreciated the room upgrade and status recognition.

For the price, this hotel is amazing.

Good for walking to temples.

The hotel is conveniently located next to Kyoto Station. It was a 5 mins walk once u exit the station.

Amazing hotel. Very accessible, the Kyoto Station is within 3 min walk distance. It has access to buses, subways, and bullet trains.

Superb location: you couldn't get much closer to the main station, yet it was quiet and we got a good few night's sleep.

After 4 days in a cage in tokyo, this apartment was god sent. Self-checkin was smooth. No problems whatsoever. Plenty of space for luggage.

Lovely little apartment style room, large bathroom with Japanese style shower and bath, included washing machine.

Excellent hotel stay! The location is super convenient, with a train station and bus stop nearby. The room was clean and spacious, perfect for my family.

Great way to experience a traditional Japanese sleeping arrangement without breaking the bank. The room at a little kitchen, washing machine and all the amenities.

There were mixed reviews, I am very satisfied with their amenities, foods (got half boarding), service, quietness, old but clean. It wasn't expensive either and even guests were courteous.

The location is perfect, ample car parking and right on the river.
The river, the bamboo forest and the monkey sanctuary are all in easy walking distance.

Stayed here last Saturday and Sunday, and it was one of the highlights of my Japan trip!

Convenience, comfy, value for money. Got all I need and good sleep here. Within walking distance to tea shopping street and other view attractions.

This is my first time sleeping on a futon bed, and tatami room. The building is traditional and authentic and very beautiful. I was impressed by the cleanliness. The host was very kind and friendly.

Genuinely beautiful inn. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Not a lot of easily walkable restaurants nearby, but a kitchen is accessible and there are nearby grocery stores.

Hibari hostel was exactly what we were looking for. Friendly, simple accomodations.

We took the Annex room.
Its basically a closet with tatami Mats — but pretty good for the price.
The lobby and sanitary facilities are good and clean.

Stayed 2 nights with a family of 4. The house itself is amazing and well worth the price. The host is great and helped us with local food recommendations and local sights.

Nachiya is the most beautiful, stylish and comfortable home you can find (away from home). The house is spacious and clean and full of traditional Japanese charm.

Absolutely fantastic service, hospitality and food served here. The location is convenient and easily accessible from Kyoto Station as well.

Confusing website for bookings… Inadvertently booked a room that didn't include a kaiseki meal that I was really looking forward to experiencing.

We booked Hotel Kanso for 4 days in Kyoto and had a great stay. The room was very spacious—there was enough space for our 3 big bags, and we still had room to move comfortably.

I won the 10AM morning time slot for Nintendo Museum so I decided to stay in Uji instead of Kyoto city.

Good accommodation in Kyoto for us, and the owner is the best person. She help us for everything.

We stayed there a couple of nights and we had a great stay. First of all the owner is really open and helpful (he answered to the questions within a couple of hours).

Kasuya was amazing and very accommodating. The airbnb is close to convenience stores and grocery store. It was a very enjoyable stay. Both the kids and adults had a great time!

Staying at this Airbnb in Kyoto was such a great experience! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed.

Great place, and everyone was so kind and helpful, giving you tips for nice areas to visit. Would highly recommend.

This was a great location with beautiful scenery and easy access to transportation to explore Kyoto! There are many different shops and restaurants lining the streets, and the staff were very helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely experience. Traditional old style Japanese home. Tani and her daughter are wonderful hosts.

I stayed at Tani House 26 years previously when backpacking and was very pleased to find it unchanged and as I remembered it when my family (kids aged 12 and 14) spent 3 nights here in September 2025.

A nice hotel by the serene Uji river. A great place to relax and have a quiet get away from hustle bustle city for a day.

My family stayed a few nights at this hotel. I was in Tokyo and experienced a medical emergency. Unable to reach them, my last resort was to call this hotel.
