Great Staff, good food, and clean rooms.

While it is true the location and cleanliness were very good, I just had a very bad experience with the staff. When I found myself in delicate health and proceeded to call medical assistance from my insurance, they did not allow the doctor who came to care for me to come up to my room as my room was simple and a double, even though it indicated my condition and indicated that it was due to hotel policies. Sick, weak and in pajamas I had to go down to reception where I was told I could use a few armchairs to talk to the doctor, having nowhere to oscultize myself. Finally I was given the option of my friends who were occupying a double room, go down to reception so that I can just go up with the doctor to his double room so that I can hide there (after doctor's identification). In addition to the personal discomfort to the Self finding me delicate in health, this caused discontent and discomfort to the doctor who came to help me, being very uncomfortable to explain what was going on. They really need to review their policies and whether you're proportional to the steps they've been taking.

Great location. This is the 2nd time our stay in Berna. Love to stay again. Breakfast is good. Front office staff very nice and supportive. Rooms are neat and clean, bath room very good.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Milan
right near the train. Plenty of good restaurants right out the door. Management and staff went above and beyond… as long as we fly into or out of Milan. We would always use this place.

We loved this hotel. Its location was close to the train station and Ferrovia Metro stop. The rooms were spacious and clean. Hair dryers in bathroom and they had a wonderful wonderful breakfast buffet. The morning we left Milan, it was 6am and before breakfast hours. They gave us a breakfast bag with yoghurt and croissants to go. Can’t say enough good things about it. Front desk always helpful and responsive. Price was so reasonable. Almost seemed like we were staying at a luxury hotel.

Effortless walk from Milano Centrale. This hotel is so convenient to the train station, you will save on taxi fares. Our room was quite cosy, but excellent. Staff were exceptionally polite. The breakfast was abundant and good quality. A little more expensive, but worth it for a comfortable night before flying. Quiet.

Well run, convenient to train station and central downtown. Friendly multilingual staff with a marvellous breakfast buffet included.

I was going to rate 5-star because the guest room was so clean and well prepared for guests to stay, breakfast has good selections of food and the rubber duck in bathroom was cute. However the reason of 4-star was because when we checked out, the guy named Erinco wasn’t very friendly. No smile no greetings like have a nice day, have a safe flight for our leaving. He looked like a senior staff as the trainee girl was given instructions by him. This hotel is at 4-5 start standard but some staff may need to be more friendly and smiley. Thanks for the service team’s hard work.

The hotel itself is clean, breakfasts are good. But guest requests are not taken into account. Requested a high floor and a beautiful view from the window, possibly quiet room. As a result: the first floor with a view of the fire ladder and the roof of the kitchen, about the silence can be forgotten, as under the Windows Technical zone and sounds appropriate.

Second time around. Very clean and excellent staff. B'fast staff always with a smile. Breakfast is superb. Will definitely return.

The hotel location is near to Centrale train station. It's a good place if you have a train to catch or go to the airport via the shuttle. The breakfast in the hotel is one of the best in Milano, and the room furniture is a bit old.

A pleasant surprise. One night in Milan, for work, I chose the Hotel Bern almost accidentally. It was very close to the main station and the subway. Comfortable room equipped with all the necessary accessories and also of the less usual but very welcome (a comfortable bathrobe for the shower). The staff at the front desk was very helpful. Not being able to do the collation in place I was offered a "breakfast bag" to be consumed later. Really a pleasant surprise, I think I'll be back even in non-working circumstances. I recommend it.

This hotel is a good value for money for those looking for a city break or for a business short stay. Perfect location if you are arriving by train at the Milano Centrale station as it's just 5 minutes walk. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. It was my second time at Hotel Berna in Milan, and this time I slept at a recently refurbished room. Very comfortable, clean, good WC privacy, LCD TV with plenty of local and some international channels, and enough room for a couple. There was however an exception: my room location. Although facing the backyard area, which is great because you don't hear any cars, but avoid at all cost the rooms finishing in "01" (ie 201, 301…). They are close to the lift and at night it can become quite noisy with guests arriving late. Overall a very good option for a city hotel in Milan.

The staff was very supportive in my "endeavour" since my suitcase was lost somewhere in Frankfurt by Lufthansa. The suitcase finally arrived 36 hours after my arrival in Milan while I was already out of that town. Upon arrival at the hotel, Enrico kindly gave me the direction to where I should go shopping to find new clothes at reasonable price on a Sunday at 5PM. He also gave me a kit to shave and brush my teeth. He even offered, free of charge, an iron/iron board since the clothes bought needed to be properly iron prior to the three business meetings I had schedule for the day after my arrival. The staff properly and safely kept my suitcase until I came back to pick it. Before my arrival, I personalized online my room preferences through the web site and everything I asked for was done accordingly to my desire (room temperature, juice in the fridge, quilt). I am recommending this hotel to anyone.

Nice clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Large breakfast buffet with a large selection. Well located, close to the train station and Corso Buenos Aires. No problem with the car. The hotel staff will take care of the parking lot. I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel located within 5min walk from the main train station and 2min from the city's metro stations. Rooms are small but well equipped with new finishings. TV and Wifi both work well and the mini bar drinks and snacks and complimentary Breakfast selection is large and the staff were happy to provide us a takeaway on days when time was limited. Great Hotel.

No surprises. The hotel deserves its four stars. I am happy with my stay in Milan at this hotel.

Room was nice enough and staff was friendly, but ran into a lot of headaches in the one night we were there. After check in, we went out for a few hours. Upon return there was a door leading to the hallway our room was in that was inexplicably locked. Had to walk back to the front desk (that was in a building across the street), and wait about five minutes to get it unlocked. Then that night, some nearby establishment played music that shook the walls all the way up on the fourth floor until 5:30 am on a Tuesday.

On arrival the staff was friendly and accomodating. However the hotel staff have caused major damage to my car when they drove it to their car park, they did not see the wall and they drove the side of my car to it. The sink plug hole in the bathroom was stuck shut, it did take about 30minutes for the members of staff to release it. All the time this was happening I had to be present, so I delayed my dinner. On the checkout, the valet service of the hotel brought my car from their car park, only for me to discover that my whole rear quarter panel was scraped on the wall while it was driven by the hotel's member of staff causing a major damage to my car. The hotel did not notify me of the damage and it was left for me to discover when I was loading my luggage, I had brought it to the staff's attention and still awaiting response on compensating me and repairing my car. Apparently they want to see CCTV footage. The fact the check sheet when they collected the car was clear with no damage at all, and that my paint of the car is all over the car park's wall is not enough to prove who has caused the damage. I have to note here this is not a public car park, only the hotel staff has access to open the gates and drive in and out.

I wish there was a chain of hotels just like this one, exceptional service by all staff, all the amenities plus a notice in bathroom if you have forgotten to pack something speak to reception and they will get it for you. Oh so comfortable bed and as I prefer no air conditioning, I slept with my window open, it was really pleasant to wake to bird calls. The healthy variety of food at breakfast was more than I would expect and in that respect it became my main meal for the day. Overall this hotel ticks all the boxes, best hotel.

Rooms are comfortable and cool! The staff are wonderfully accomodating and friendly. Free breakfast each morning is a great spread with plenty of options and fresh coffee. Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Drinks are reasonably priced and with free nibbles (enough that you don't need dinner). And to top it off free soft drinks from the mini bar in your room!

A beautiful discovery.

Absolutely worth the stay. Modestly priced hotel in Centrale, 30 seconds from the subway stop and four stops from Duomo where you'd have to pay twice as much for worse hotels. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, something that can be difficult to find in Italy. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar, complimentary Wi-Fi that works reasonably well, and the reception staff sent us off into the city with free bottles of water and fruit. The rooms can seem small and a little worn in, but the service and practical décor makes it absolutely worth what they charge. Try to make sure that you get a room in the main building, rather than the annex.

Ecellet place. Clean, tidy and lots of little details to ensure comfort. Service is friendly and constantly offered. The buffett breakfast is the best I have ever had in a hotel, and I travel my fare share. I would come back to the hotel just for its breakfast. Elevators are small and there is not necesario plentiful space. But the layout is smart and you don't feel enclosed. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

Charming, friendly hotel. It is very well located near the train station in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast buffet is OK. Some facilities are a little dated and deserve a renovation, including in the rooms. To summarize, a charming but slightly dated hotel that suits very well.

We had a very pleasant stay, warm friendly staff, very helpful. Impressive buffet breakfast, & waiter even gave us a doggy bag for out with fresh fruit, yogurt & water for the day. News leaflets printed out daily in a range of languages. It's all the small touches that make all the difference Rooms cleaned & made up every day. The hotel is great. Very clean and the people are super kind and professional. The breakfast is impressive.

Excellent hotel. Location of the hotel is located within walking distance from the central railway station. Staff are super helpful. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast feast-like (good). Some very good restaurants on the street, and our favorite is the little pizza shop around the corner.

Second stay and my first choice for a good night sleep: book the better rooms for more comfort. I like Milano.

Very good hotel. Located directly at the train station Milano Centrale in a quiet side street. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are partially bit tight, but it always clean. Even though the hotel is probably already a little older — it fit everything actually! Happy to be back.
