Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location just steps off the beaten path. 5 minute walk to Piazza San Marco! Generous breakfast!

This quirky hotel is filled with art, and has a lovely little courtyard where you can sip a coffee or a cocktail from the bar. All the rooms are a bit different (ours had a tiny balcony with views of the neighbouring rooftops), and the accommodations are comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bartender, Roberto, was especially skilled and personable. (Speaking of the bar, try the Bellini here; it's usually made with fresh peaches, and it's magnificent. ) The continental breakfast will set you up for the day, though it is a bit bland, and heavy on the store bought croissants. The hotel is well located for all the classics: shopping, dining, and of course the nearby opera house. It's a seven minute walk to Saint Mark's square, and has quick access to the water buses. The attached restaurant is pricey but delicious. I recommend the lighter and more affordable lunch menu, but both lunch and dinner have vegetarian and vegan options.

We had a great time at this hotel. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a great spot in the middle of Venice. Roberto is the bartender and has some wonderful drinks that he creates. The Courtyard patio is a pleasant place to sip a peach Bellini.

The rooms for Venice are big, clean. Friendly staff.
Of the cons, there is not enough cooler with water. Good audibility of neighbors. Breakfasts are modest but delicious coffee and great croissants.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel! Our room is hot, no matter how cold we tell the AC to go. Also, it stinks like body odor! I’m typing this as I lay awake choking back the urge to gag from the stench in here. While you try to hold back puking for the smell, you can hear every sound in the hotel, from the elevator going up and down to someone taking out recycling and clinking all the glass bottles together at Midnight! It is so disappointing. Additionally, the bathroom is small, dated and has black mold as well — in the shower. We can not get the shower to stop running water and must sleep to the sound of water running constantly. I legitimately can NOT wait to leave in the morning.

A sweet hotel in the heart of Venice. Super location.
You are fast at Marcos Square, Rigato Bridge or several restaurants. A supermarket is also within short reach.
The hotel lives out its artistic style and is the witness of several works of art that adorn the corridors and walls.
The rooms are lovingly furnished and make the stay unique at all cases. The rooms are cleaned daily and have air conditioning.
Breakfast is not varied and large, but leaves cornflakes, fruit and yogurt for a varied breakfast in addition to rolls and cold cuts. For this, there are all the types of kaffles your heart desires.
In the evening you can have a drink in the conservatory terrace.

Superb hotel a 5-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. In the Venetian style, very nice room with king size bedding very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and varied with local products.
A special note to the friendly and very competent reception service. I would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Fenice apartments. Very convenient for the family and a better value for money with spacious rooms, living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry place… well recommended.

This is just a great hotel to stay — central in San Marco Area — with some amazing room options — the theatre next door added to the features of the hotel, the internal Art all around the hotel was stunning and the little features unique. This is one to stay if you are looking for that unique venitian stay — if you like a Hilton stay in a Hilton — I often do! but when I travel to these great places I want something more I want an experience and this hotel delivers each and every time! Looking forward to coming back again next year! Keep my room open please x.

Happy magical place to visit, even more amazing a place to stay in, the history and some of the residents are a wonderful collection of actors and artists from around the world, you never know who you will meet in the bar!

Wonderful stay. Very pleasant helpful staff, from concierge to waiters to cleaners. All very lovely. Reasonably priced too. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a little lacking but all in all a very nice hotel.

A somewhat over the years hotel. Some things have come down (our bathtub, for example, had several places where the enamel had jumped, for the most part the damage was overglued with butterflies) but the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is only about 50 m from Main entrance to Teatro La Fenice.
The bathroom was quite cool although the heater worked well.
The choice at breakfast was probably plentiful for Italian conditions — we would have liked to have had a slightly larger selection of cereals. Fruit, for example, was often absent altogether. But all in all we were very pleased.

We had a wonderful experience during our weekend in Venice, also because of this central located hotel. Besides some small problems with the radiators, the service was excellent and rooms have a lot of personal space. I would definitely visit Hotel La Fenice again!

Great hotel, in winter there is unfortunately something to save on the heating. Otherwise, the location is really recommended. The breakfast is not the big buffet, but it tastes and you survive to the next snack on the island. We will book it again the next time you visit.

Average hotel. We were expecting better. Room was basic. Shower was dreadful. Cold water every day, too low as well so had to hold above my head. Breakfast was adequate. Bar was awful. Rudest barman I have met in my life. You would think he was doing you a favour by eventually serving you. I wouldn’t return.

Great, perfect reception, dream situation 5 minutes from St. Mark's Square and Rialto and at the foot of La Fenice. We loved this place. (Apartment very comfortable, spacious and very clean).

Disappointing hotel, bad value for money. On the first day we did not have hot water and the 2nd day, no water nor electricity throughout the hotel so no shower possible nor breakfast that we had to take in a cafe near the hotel. No discount for the annoyances, breakfast counted anyway. The +: The staff speaks French.

He went far beyond the call of duty in actually taking my husband to the hospital (a lengthy walking distance) when I had had an accident. … a great guy! Thankyou Francesco! More propretèe. And ventilation in the rooms. It doesn't smell good. And cleaning question it takes more control.

Most unfriendly hotel front desk. The older man with white hair is a mean man. Very unfriendly. We were afraid of him. The hotel should fire him. The bar man is very friendly! And house keeping very good. But the front desk man is a big minus for our experience overall.

Nice place and rather cute outside, but the rooms are really antiquated, the paintings and carpets wastewater… Breakfast with canned fruit salad, chemical juices, etc… The staff at the hotel is very pleasant.

Very good location, quirky rooms. We booked two rooms, one for my wife and myself and one for our sixteen year old son, we didn't know that the double room had another single room joined onto it! Had we known it would have saved us a lot of money. So call before you book online. The continental breakfast was ok, but just ok. You can get bacon and eggs at an extra charge, but I think you are better off having the continental and having a good lunch on your travels, Venice is rammed with great eateries.

The most helpful front desk I've encountered in Europe! Directions to the hotel on the website could be greatly improved, but honestly, directions in Venice are highly unreliable anyway lol. I ate dinner at the hotel and it was wonderful. Breakfast was awesome every day. Loved the super slow elevator and the note from management inside. Awesome experience.

Excellent location, quiet, Clean and fresh. Superb breakfast buffet, with lots of fresh warm local breads and croissant, fresh juices and most of all, best fresh coffee served in Italian Hotel! I do recommend it for a good place at a reasonable price tag!

Fantastic quirky hotel. Close to the center of Venice. Hotel staff was wonderful and friendly. Rooms were extremely neat and clean. Best Tiramisu (in the bar area) I had in 2 weeks in Italy. Cute little sitting area to relax between the bar and the breakfast room. The art on the walls is for sale and you can buy anything you like. Smokers have an outside Garden courtyard with tables they can sit at. Beds are more firm than most Americans will like, but still tolerable. Bathroom are hit and miss (some have tubs, some postage stamp size with a shower)

Home from home for me. Spent 2 months at Hotel La Fenice and have to say the staff are the friendliest you'll meet anywhere, extremely helpful and great fun.
Great location, only a short walk to both Saint Mark's Square and Rialto bridge. Try the restaurant Vino Vino just round the corner for fantastic food and Venchi for the best gelato in Venice.

Located next to the famous opera. The hotel is well run, clean, and the staff is helpful. Soneone is at the front desk 24/7. They include a breakfast bar with good coffee and freshly baked pastries, cold meats and cheese, juices, and cereal. The place is quaint but certainly a bit worn out. The room I was in could have used a coat of paint, a new shower faucet, better lighting, and overall a makeover. Nevertheless, it was very clean and acceptable.

I finish a ten day stay at this hotel: I am delighted: very affordable price in the middle of July, perfect reception (and in French! ), comfortable rooms, impeccable bedding, perfect cleanliness… In short really a success, with, in addition a Central location without being in the flow of tourists… I will come back without a problem!

It is close enough to every tourists attractions without feeling trapped in them. Comfortable beds, and the staff is very friendly. The overall aesthetics and the atmosphere are tired and rundown. Confirm that your air conditioning works, specially if you are there in the summer. The windows don't have screens so it's an invitation to mosquitoes.

Great Hotel! The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well kept. The rooms look beautiful with painted doors and red carpet and tiles. The free breakfast is not bad either, though limited compared to other hotels. The only real issue I had was the Wi-Fi.

Great place to stay. Central location to all the sites. Great staff that truly looks out for your best interests. Rooms feel a little old but filled with character. Gives you a real Venice feel. Grazie for a good experience!

A beautiful historic, Venetian-style hotel, very well maintained. In just a few steps to the Theatre / Opera Gran Teatro La Fenice.
Only the room / apartment in the roof let me not sleep due to technical noise.

Definetely a great hotel in a really good position in the heart of Venice. Great service and stay. Probably only the breakfast needs to be improved with more choice.
