Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous and clean rooms. The suite with crazy balcony.
Hotel a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco really. Hearty breakfast and top staff. They were all very kind and helpful. A little dream holiday. Absolutely recommend!

Great location for St. Mark's Square.

Best Wifi in the hotel. After first login all mobile devices are automatic connected to the internet every time when you return to the hotel. Big room with hidromasage bath and good air condition system.

Couldn’t have found a better accommodation, better staff then we did… made our Venice stay a memorable one.

Hotel 2 minutes from St. Mark's Square. Very spacious and well-maintained junior suite room. Breakfast in the room or plentiful buffet. Elevator. Keep in mind that being in such a central position and overlooking the rooms on a street of restaurants the rumor lasts until late in the evening.

Super room. Price is okay. 150 meters to St. Mark's Square. Very friendly staff.

Good location. However smell of canals would waft up in mornings. Smells of sewage. Bathrooms had a little mold but were ok… Breakfast was always cold. We asked for new eggs. Old ones were nuked : ( But the pastures and other stuff was good… Do not get room Service. It's from a restaurant nearby that has horrible customer service. They did not have what we asked for. They made a recommendation which was horrible. Then snubbed us when we asked for something else. We also cancelled an order less than 1 min after makimg it. But we were told we still had to pay for it. Hotel made us go to restaurant one block away to deal with issues ourselves. Wasn't happy at all. Oh by the way. All canals a seriously polluted and smell of sewage. We were told Venice has a day problem. Things I wish knew before going. Also be Nice is overcrowded. I had to get up at 5 am to take proper pics of sights without huge crowds covering them. I recommend not staying in touristy areas. Or coming at peak times. Other smaller islands were less busy.

What a beautiful hotel. Modest when you walk in the door, but the friendly people make you feel welcome immediately. And the room took my breath away. Plus I had a lovely view of the canal from my balcony. A delicious breakfast every morning and a perfect location from which to start my site-seeing day. I was sad to leave.

Where do you start! What an awful place to stay. I’m shocked that there are any positive reviews at all. I booked a junior suite as a birthday treat for my partner and this hotel failed abysmally in every respect. First they gave us a room that was clearly not a suite nor was it in any of the pictures of the hotel suites. They initially told us there were no other suites available as they were all occupied but after we insisted, there was a suite that became miraculously avai…lable after a couple of phone calls. The room was better but we had a broken shower, wood lice, dirty and ripped furniture and the flooring was falling apart. You could not make this up even if you wanted to! After further complaints to ebookers (where the booking was made) and to the hotel, again another suite miraculously became available. This one was a lot better but there was no hot water. Apparently it was due to the hotel not having a big enough tank. The furniture also needs to be replaced as they are dirty and have seen better days. We’ve spent the last couple of days speaking to the hotel and ebookers to get some sort of solution to this debacle. All we wanted was a birthday getaway which has turned into a absolute nightmare! I do feel for the staff who work here who have to put up with unhappy guests. It is unfair for the owners of the hotel to keep charging exorbitant amounts of money for what in essence is a dirty and broken hotel. This is a total scam!

They charged us for a suite and tried to put us in a small room. When we pointed out what they had tried to do, they then moved us into a room with filthy furniture, a shower that wasn’t working, no shower curtain, woodlice in the wood work, and an old worn out mattress. Today they moved us to another room which looked good, but we we tried to have a shower, there is no hot water. The man who came to look at it said that their tank is not big enough for the hotel and there is… nothing we can do but wait. We have three days in Venice, we have spent the majority of our time so far waiting for new rooms, waiting for the manager who doesn’t live in Venice to get back to us. We now have one day left, no hot water, they probably won’t refund us, and we wish we never came here. Just to follow up — we tried to speak to the manager but the receptionist said she refused to speak to us. He then just kept saying ‘I’m just a receptionist, I cannot help you’ and refused any further conversation. I have never had a worse customer service experience in my life.

We were in a junior suite, which was absolutely gorgeous. I felt like Venetian royalty staying here. The location is fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable and welcoming.

Room was ready even though we arrived very early. Room was very clean, a little bit smaller than what I expected of a junior suite although it has big closet and lots of drawers for your clothes, it kept the room and bed clean and in order, a big plus since I don’t like clutters. Bathroom was clean, bigger than expected and I love the shower — very good water pressure. Breakfast was very good although few choices, on the plus side we don’t have to dressed up since it’s delivered to our room. The only downside was the TV did not work the first day and the person who checked it does not know what to do. Thank God the next person who came the next day was a Filipino who really knows what to do. Overall, I would stay here again if I come back to Venice with my family and friends.

Very nice hotel with excellent service. Wonderful location with Venetian flair. The breakfast is served by Raffaele lovingly in the room to start the day in a cheerful and invigorated mood.

Very nice hotel good service nothing to say everything is perfect the staff is very nice and available Sinnois let's go back to Venice we will return to the same hotel without hesitation.

The hotel was quaint and quirky, definitely satisfied our desire of a true "Venetian" experience. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful with navigating the hotel as well as restaurant recommendations. The size of the room was quite immense for a European hotel. The shower was a bit small and we had to successfully time the microbursts of hot water that would occur while showering. The breakfast that we ordered each morning was a perfect start to the day and included muffins, proteins (meats and cheeses), cereal, fruit, juices, coffee, etc. Thanks so much for providing such a memorable first impression of Venice!

The reception Olia to rotten, for two days we had no hot water, winter 4 degrees, the staff was rude and superb when we claimed, the upholstery of the chairs in the "suite" were raided and broken up pictures of that. The location is very good, with that service and those flaws is amazing to give the category 4 stars by God!

The hotel is in an excellent position. On arrival we were greeted by very hospitable and friendly staff. We were shown to our room on the 3rd floor. It was a very nice room, clean and bright. All staff we met were friendly and professional. Our only gripe would be the shower. It didn't work properly on the first day but the staff did get it fixed quickly for us. The shower is a pod type and is small once you're in there — don't drop the soap, it's a challenge to pick it up! It certainly didn't spoil our stay in the slightest. We would definitely stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom to review: hook removed but exposed screws. Carpet threadbare in the staircase and in the bedroom. Mini-Bar light does not work.
I will probably come back for the proximity to Piazza San Marco.

I allpggiato in this hotel for 2 days from 23rd to 25th January. Nice Hotel and kept well. Very clean and great breakfast. Would stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Venice. The room was very nice, quiet and very clean. Since we were there in December, it was important for us to have well heated premises. The staff was very nice and helpful. We would book the hotel again.

We had an awesome experience here. Our room was huge and shower/bathroom also massive. Excellent shower pressure and water temperature. Breakfast in bed is so convenient. Best of all were the staff! Very friendly and so helpful. We could not have asked for anything more. This place is fantastic!

Classic hotel with friendly staff. We had a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the canal and the Bridge of Sighs. Fantastic breakfast served by our own waiter. What more could you want? A free drink at the bar next door? yes, that's included.

The hotel is completely restored, as furniture, seats, beds, curtains, sofas etc… Everything is borderline and rickety chateau. What a pity because the place is wonderfully located and the staff very nice.

Hotel al Ponte dei Sospiri has a wow factor! We got the room with a view to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday. He couldn’t believe the view! It was so fun to look out the balcony and onto the canal. We chose this room because of the view and location. And it delivered! We thought that it would be fun to have a Venetian vibe, and it was. However, our room definitely could benefit from some updating. The couch and some other areas were worn and and would improve with some reupholstering. Maybe a new cover in the bedding? Some updates (even maintaining the quaint style) would make this place outstanding! The bed was very firm, which I liked and my husband did not. It was also very squeaky, which impacted romance. We paid a high price and appreciated the view and the location. The service was wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Arriving right to the hotel dock from our water taxi was excellent. The hotel is located very close to St Mark's Piazza. We were offered free drinks in their sister hotel during happy hour, where you could watch the gondoliers go by. The rooms were decorated in a Venetian style, which was fun. We opted for the room service breakfast which was nicely set up on a table in the room. The hotel had a lift and the air conditioning worked! The service was very friendly and helpful for restaurant recommendations. Our only issue was our water taxi was late arriving for pick up from the hotel and we nearly missed our flights. This was not the hotel's fault. The canals were filled with gondolier traffic on a Sunday morning. Just be sure to order your water taxi earlier than you think is necessary! Overall, We found the accommodations to be very enjoyable and we would stay there again.

Dirty, old and dated tapestry/ furniture… I was scared of sitting on the chairs that they might break. Broken drawer, small bathroom with very very small shower,, noisy room,. Be ready to take your bathroom supplies… as lotion etc. They just provide shower gel. We were traveling for a month and ran out of conditioner and body lotion and when asked them they said they don't provide. We drink tea and coffee with creamer but they said they don't provide milk or creamer we can go and buy from the market:) we were very tired to go back in the market so slept without tea:) not even a single day found our room tidy with nicely placed cushions/ pillows or slippers They don't have a breakfast room… go to another hotel and (limit was… waiter came to us and asked can you move to another table in the corner so that she can put other people on our table specially when no one was waiting in the line. ) waiter never came to us to ask if we need anything from their menu or otherwise. Very unfriendly impersonal small reception and staff.

Hotel Al Ponte Dei Sospiri which "follows" our life… February 2005:1st Carnival… June 2006: For our wedding… June 2017/For our 11 years of marriage… Still wonderful. Plus this year a big thank you to the receptionists at the entrance, all very smiling and efficient. And then a "special mention" of Excellence for Rafaele in charge of the breakfast for the suites… "Bravissimo"… Kindness, professionalism, smile, good humour, availability, flexibility… We started all our days in a very positive way… We particularly wish him a good continuation. Let's not forget to say that the suites are very pretty, the mattresses of good quality, the spacious bathroom, with bathrobes, towels, bath products, slippers, the mini bar Nice for a small complement sometimes necessary to drink after a Long Walk, Internet access with no worries important to stay close to our professional activities, the hotel ideally located next to the Bridge of Sighs and Piazza San Marco… access to Vaporettos (San Marco San Zaccaria) rapids… taxis have to Also a direct wharf on the hotel… This is all perfect! Our opinion remains unchanged in twelve years: Perfect stay! Highly recommended!

A very nice hotel, ideally located, and whose staff will welcome you with distinction and thoughtfulness.
To avoid the few trattoria that adjoins it. Very expensive and not very good, prefer to lose you to the Arsenale. Far enough from the bridge of Sighs, at the level of gigantic yatchs you will find, just at the bottom of a bridge (left) a very nice restaurant.

I loved this hotel. The staff was great and everything went very smoothly for the 2 weeks I was there. The only problem was the Wi-Fi and the fact it rarely worked. I also had a room on floor 1 which almost always flooded because there is no lip on the shower to keep the water in. All in all, great hotel and I would stay there again. Breakfast staff was incredible and worked extremely hard to get anything we needed. The front desk staff was also great and willing to help.

The hotel is beautiful with the most accommodating staff. The location is perfect and our junior suite was amazing. The room was beautiful and we had an amazing view of the canal leading into the channel from our balcony. Breakfast in bed (all inclusive) was a perfect touch and Raphael was a pleasure to interact with every morning! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Great location, good bedding, big room with an old fashioned décor, nice staff, attentive and very smiling. Breakfast simple and basic not terrible next time I prefer take it in a small bakery with good coffee.

Favorite for this charming hotel extremely well located! Only small regret, breakfast is to take in another establishment, certainly not far, but very poor quality.
