Bed and Breakfast

Avoid this place at all costs. Double matresses propped up outside the door of our room. A sliding bathroom door that was coming of the runner to leave a foot wide of a gaping hole. Wallpaper peeling off the walls a TV from the 1980's. Smelt of must throughout. We actually had to leave within 30mins of arrival after a very long drive as the room was not nearly big enough or adequate for our family of 5. It says it has recently been renovated and looks really nice on the website. Dreadful experience.

Location is good. The staff was nice, but the room was so outdated, dirty and smelled. Beds were uncomfortable. Didn't stick around for the breakfast.

Friendly staff but the place itself needs a massive massive refurbishment. Very Cold and dirty. I could go into further details but I hate writing reviews like this. But from my experience avoid.

We arrived at the B&B and were given a really warm welcome and waited in the cosy sitting room with stunning views the room was clean and the bed was really comfortable all we needed for our stay and lovely and warm I was reading the reviews before we left and was nervous but as usual people expect too much its a B&B and some people expect them to be like 5 star hotel their is a reason why you have hotels and B&B. S. It was central to the town and the breakfast the following morning was great and great value for money thank you very much we really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff, a nice firm bed, lovely common spaces and a good waterfront spot. Inclusive hot breakfast! However, Our twin room’s bathroom had a pull out door, not very convenient as you could hear everything… last but not least we accidentally used some expired sauces at breakfast but no harm done.

This b&b was a mixed bag. The room looked like a dorm room, not dirty but old and somewhat dingy. The bathroom looked somewhat grey but again more from age then lack of cleaning. The beds were bad, very old and you could actually see and feel the individual springs through the bedding. When housekeeping came through they did no more than pull up the duvet, didn't reposition the pillows or take out a bottle beside trashcan. HOWEVER, the lounge was lovely with a large bank of windows facing the river, with a fire they started in the evening and coffee and tea service. The breakfast room is clean and pretty and very well kept and the food was very good. And above all else, the staff was wonderful! They were kind and friendly and very accommodating when we requested an early light breakfast (toast and scones and coffee). They gave us information about our day's activities (hiking) and remembered the discussion when we returned. Our room was relatively inexpensive so I think it about balances out.

Breakfast was horrible, room was dirty, online pictures were misleading, staff could care less, suggest you try one of the many amazing hotels or B&Bs located all around it!

Huge disappointment. Worst night of our stay in Ireland last week. Bugs flying around in the room, TV was from 1990, shower was too tiny and the water barely trickled out. Ran out of hot water and husband had to take cold shower. You could see the outline of the bed springs through the sheets — SO uncomfortable. The only saving grace was the sweet staff member named Bart, and a good breakfast.

The cons simply put, they have no air conditioning and the pillows had some sort of bug eggs on them when we arrived. Pros were nice view from the relaxing room they had and they had a great sit down breakfast that was included. Also, they providwd plug in adapters.

Clean. Easy access to town. Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. I think they misused our B&B voucher and over charged us though.

Affordable but comfortable.

On the first glance, this house is stunning. It is situated right next to the river but on the road for easy access to town. The deck that looked out to the river was wonderful and peaceful, you didn't really hear traffic coming and going. However, our room was a big dingy and the door was ridiculously hard to close due to a warped door frame. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but for 90 euros a night, I was expecting a bit better. There was a bachelorette party in the rooms closest to us, and they stayed up ridiculously late screaming like school girls to the point that I banged on the wall to show some of us were trying to sleep. All in all, I might come back, but would ask for a room not so close to a large party.

Magic This is a lovely place with perfect food.

I would have liked given a notice, but owners have estimated to be not required to answer my mails, only once I had given my bank details…

Finally, reservation not taken into account, as these people preferred rented their room for more than one night — it would have been just commercial to warn me by e-mail so that we can look back and correct (because at the last moment and on the spot, all the B&B were reserved)

They don't make much of an effort, the room was small, breakfast was lack lustre. The main room by the river is nice. Not too far from town, 1km. Quiet rooms. Ok place to stay.

I cannot really recommand this place, too many small aspects: broken bits of glas on the bathroom floor toilet flush did not work, had to fix it myself shower produced only hot water dirty coffee mugs the reception was nice, though. Ok for a day or so, but not for a vacation.

Absolutely appalling and misleading the 4* advert on the website! They didn't invest a penny since 1980's. If you come from a three house and you'll be disappointed! Breakfast was ok as everywhere else but the place its like I said, back from "80's. Never again. Totally disappointed.

Stayed here with my family and boyfriend Friday last. The lady who greeted us on our arrival was very nice and friendly. The lady who served us at breakfast on Saturday morning was also lovely; chatty and helpful. When we mentioned that myself and my boyfriend were vegetarians she immediately offered us cheese and tomato omelettes, which were delicious! The bread and scones were also amazing, I couldn’t get enough. The guest lounge is beautiful with a view out onto the river. There is tea and coffee which you can make for yourself, and even a tin of biscuits! I thought this was so nice. The rooms are nice and heat up very quickly in this cold weather. I’d have loved to have stayed longer, but will definitely be returning as soon as possible! Excellent value also, I highly recommend this place.

I just spent a night at this B and B. Is clean, the service is perfect, close to town, They have a great lounge with fireplace and breakfast what You want. I would definitely recommend.

Stepping into Killarney View House is an experience of Ireland's hospitality and service, while being surrounded in a comfortable Irish atmosphere. The guest lounge room is tastefully decorated to accommodate quiet casual conversations and the view of the river is magnificent. My most favorite feature is the fireplace, where in the afternoons and evenings I can sit by a roaring fire and contemplate the days end. At Killarney View House you are a short distance from the Muckross House, so spend a day touring the house, the grounds, and having lunch at the Restaurant near the House. You can also spend the day going around the Ring of Kerry, or spend the day going around the Dingle Peninsula and on to Slea Head. Killarney View is just a short distance to walking into Killarney Town for shopping, theater, or eating. Enjoy, it is one of my most favorite places to visit.
