Recently had our wedding here at the Brehon. Absolutely amazing to deal with from start to finish. The wedding manager Rachel went above and beyond for us. Nothing was a problem and communication between hotel and us was incredible. The service and food we received was 10/10 not a fault! Every member of staff we encountered with was such a pleasure, so kind & polite and incredible customer service. We felt like royalty! Cannot recommend this hotel enough! It’s top class!

Absalutely fantastic massage experience. Must be experienced. I had one years ago and when I realised I would be back in the area I had to go again. Still most outstanding massage I have ever had. Think you would struggle to get this experience in most places.

Hats off to the Brehon Hotel for looking after 12 of us this weekend, we had an absolute ball & we will be back. The hotel itself it's just beautiful, very friendly staff, super attentive & catered for our daughter who is just 10months old, lovely kids menu & access to the gleneagle children's pool/kids activities. Food was gorgeous and breakfast had a super selection to choose from.
As there are guidelines due to covid at the moment, I think the staff in training are doing a great job, We would like to wish Grace the very best of luck & thanks for looking after us with our table service.

Went here for my 30th birthday dinner with my mom to the Danu restaurant and it was divine. They had a full plant based menu and it was absolutely delicious starting with the complimentary homemade breads at the start with dips. Wow. Everything was so fresh. Only disappointment was I couldn't fit any dessert and I bet they were wonderful :-) Definitely a place worth celebrating in and if you go early you might even have a little space to yourselves for a while. Thank you for catering for us.

We had a great weekend in this hotel and I couldn't recommend it enough! The staff were super friendly and professional, they went above and beyond my expectations to make sure we got a great experience. SPA is amazing as well, I had one of the best back massage! Location is great only a walk to the city centre and beautiful sceneries. Thanks to all the staff I can't wait to be back!

Just went for afternoon tea. As an experience it was pretty special. The server was very knowledgeable, kind, shared her recommendations. It's quite expensive for an overnight stay but the afternoon tea was great value for the sheer experience, would definitely be a strong recommendation in my book.

While not having stayed here I can vouch for the cleanliness calmness beautiful food and very friendly staff.
The spa treatment area was amazing from start to finish it was over 1nd half hours of pure bliss first time def won't be the last.

3 Stars. Beautiful room. Welcoming and Lovely staff. Amazing spa with amazing spa therapists. Food is a let down. Breakfast is buffet but at 9am it’s cold. Food in the evening isn’t great for what you’re paying. Got lamb rump that was honestly tasteless. Mash potatoes surprised to find them filled with spring onions. They tried to hard to be overly elaborate and it didn’t really work. For us food is a big deal for our getaways so if you’re not worried about food or intend to eat elsewhere then you’ll be fine.

We had our wedding in the Brehon in July this year. Sharon and Catriona went over and above to help plan our perfect day. Everything was amazing. We had our drinks reception outside which was beautiful and our guests are still raving about the outstanding meal. Thanks to all the Brehon team x.

A amazing stay breakfast was absolutely splendid, the pool was gorgeous and had a very relaxing calm atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, spacious and very quiet had a lovely sleep. The staff were so friendly and helpful will definitely be back!

Spent a night with my wife recently. Top class hotel. Facilities second to none. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had fabulous dinner in restaurant. Spa was relaxing. All in all one of the best hotel stays.

Being a photographer, we are here often. The staff are so friendly and extremely professional. The food is also 5 star.

Stayed here in August in a family room with my wife and two kids, the family room consisted of an entrance hall, a large sitting room with a balcony, a large bedroom with a huge super king bed, a single bed and a good quality travel cot for the baby and a huge bathroom with a bath, a shower and his and hers sinks. The room was well appointed with lots of storage, 2 TVs, a fridge and a nespresso style coffee machine. The staff were more than accommodating, really good with the kids and every member of staff we met in the halls said good morning. The breakfast had an amazing array of hot and cold food, juices, fruit and a make your pancake station for the kids. The bar food was fantastic, whomever came up with cheese, garlic, black pudding fries (dirty fries on the menu! ) should be given an immediate promotion! They were to die for! I couldn't recommend the Brehon enough, it's an amazing hotel with amazing staff!

Being a visitor to Killarney and the O'Donaghue establishments for almost fifty years I wasn't surprised with the hospitality we received at the Brehon. The staff in every area surpassed our expectations. They were courteous efficient and friendly. We had a beautiful experience and certainly we will gladly recommend it to our family and friends.

Where do I start with the hotel — we celebrated our day here in July and we cannot thank the Brehon enough. The food was amazing, the function room was set up beautiful and the staff just went above and beyond — they are so helpful and anything we needed they did not hesitate to help with. The hotel itself is beautiful — such a cosy hotel with beautiful decorated rooms. We cannot thank the Brehon enough for an amazing wedding.

We had our wedding reception in the Brehon this July. We are from Tyrone and most of our guests traveled a long journey and had thee most pleasant experience. Even though the Brehon have loads of weddings each year we really felt like ours was their only one. The staff were unbelievable and made our day special for everyone. Caitriona, Stephen and Marius couldn’t have done enough for us from the first day we spoke with them and do top it of they are lovely people. The rest of the hotel staff made us and our guests feel like they were honoured to have us. It was also good value for money as well and no hidden costs when the final bill came. Thank you so much from Barry and Colette. We will be seeing you again soon.

Nice hotel with a good bar and good food. Rooms are clean Spa is excellent. Could be a bit more child friendly though (children's room is currently closed). Spa including pool is for adults only.

Last year, a relative and I went into the Brehon for a coffee & dessert. The bar was not that busy at the time and we were ages waiting for our desserts. It took another while for our coffees to arrive. I found a hair in my dessert and we were never asked to see was everything ok. Yesterday, we returned with more relatives for a lunch. We got our menus fairly quickly but it took quite a while for our order to be taken. We were told our dinner would take some time to cook but …it took way longer than expected, at least 45mins. When it arrived no one said anything or apologised. We sat there for a long period of time before our table was cleared after finishing our meal. We asked for a dessert menu and ordered. We were waiting a ridicolous amount of time for our desserts, 20mins approx for an ice cream, so we had to leave because we had other duties. The apology which we received was unthoughtful. The bar was quite so we could not see why everything was taking so long. The exterior and the interior of the building itself are incredible. Myself and another relative had planned to have our weddings here in the future but because it has been such a let down on two occasions with the service and the food we are not likely to return. We are very disappointed as it is such a popular hotel for such occasions.

Beautiful luxury hotel just a 10min walk away from. Killarney National Park. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast is perfect. The staff was always very helpful and available. Will hopefully come here again.

Disappointed to say the least. I wish I had gone to do my tourist stuff instead of checking in early as this has spoilt my mood for the day! The outside of the hotel is very deceiving! The room is very disappointing and basic, nothing like what has been advertised it really could do with an upgrade. Sadly I will not be lookin forward to coming back to spend a night here. I only gave it one start because I had to! That’s how much I am disappointed in the room! EDIT 2 May 2018: I should have edited this a while ago but better late than never! When we went back to the hotel late in the afternoon after our day out I complained about the room and we were moved to a different room (on the third floor) which was much much nicer. I enjoyed the rest of the stay including the use of the spa and the nice breakfast spread the following morning. I will still say that paying customers should NEVER be checked into a room like the first one we were checked into! It’s on the second so I hope not all on the second floor are that horrible and if ever the hotel looks at these reviews they will know the room being referred to. I do hope the room has now been done up to reflect what people see when they look at the hotel online.

The Brehon best. 10 min walk. 4 mins taxi. 6 Euro. Superb team. Great vistas. Tranquil. Food at Danu 5 star class. Choice menu. Wines excellent. Lite bites in bar wonderful. Well priced too. Excellent appointed bedrooms. Team from management to reception and bedrooms all amazing. It works looking forwarforward to our return.

Took my mum sister and my 3 children for afternoon tea as a treat the children s afternoon tea was good Value at 12, 00 euro as for the adults I was disappointed because what you got to eat was not worth the 18.00 which consists of one slice of bread cheese and ham sandwich one small slice of brown bread with cream cheese and smoked salmon on top plus one small roll. Served with the tiniest of one small scone cream and jam plus 3/4 tiny cakes served with tea/coffee was not at l impressed sorry won't be going back.

This is a lovely hotel with some great food. It is very relaxing and it moves you at an easy pace. I would highly recommend the spa treatments.

I spent a night at The Brehon with my partner. We made use of the relaxing pool and sauna and had a delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. They even offered to post my newly bought trousers which I forgot when I checked out.

Had a great weekend at the Brehon. Went on the Girlie Night package with 4 others and it was brilliant. All were lovely and so friendly and helpful from booking to check out. Nothing was too much trouble Had the best massage in the Angsana Spa and there were knots kneaded out that had been there for years :). Heather the receptionist at the spa was lovely and put us all at ease! The dinner in the restaurant was delicious and again the staff were great. Beds were comfy and even though room was near lift, noise was not an issue. Breakfast was delicious with huge choice. The reception staff on check out were lovely and we had a small issue with being charged for something we did not get but this was sorted promptly.
All in all, a 5 star experience and can't wait to return!

The Brehon is perhaps the worst of Ireland! Book elsewhere, otherwise you will likely find yourself without a place to sleep! Arrived to find they had given away our room, booked a month earlier! Apologies but not real solution. Said they tried to contact us, yet I'd received literally five emails confirming and reconfirming our stay, then a other that evening thanking me for staying! (Obviously didn't, since they had given our room away to a wedding party that gave them the wrong number of guests).

We came here for afternoon tea on my trip to Ireland. I thought the hotel was just breathtaking! I would love to actually stay here — — it is clearly a luxury hotel with all the amenities (including a spa) you could want. The tea was served in the couches of the lobby/atrium area and was delicious. Fresh sandwiches, scones, and lots of little pastries. The parking lot was quite crowded, I think due to the convention center nearby. I would definitely come back here and do recommend the afternoon tea — top-notch experience.

This was my first trip to Ireland with my wife and we stayed here while we toured the ring of Kerry and explored Kilarney. This hotel is amazing! The room was clean, spacious and inviting. Our room came with breakfast and it was delicious! My wife had a birthday while we were staying here and the hotel had some chocolates in the room for her when we arrived, nice touch! We had her birthday dinner with our Irish friends in the restaurant and it was amazing! The food and service was five star! I would stay here again and recommend the property.

We stayed at this lovely Hotel in July and from the moment we stepped into the hotel the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food and wine were beautiful and our room was stunning, looking over the mountains. The spa was gorgeous and the staff especially the Mangeress Fiona were fantastic running around making sure everything was perfect for their guests, a luxurious retreat that we shall always remember. My son left his pencil case at the hotel, when we flew back to London and the staff posted it back with no hesitation and even popped chocolate bars in the envelope, we thought that was a really lovely touch. As my 8 year old son quoted "Mummy this is like a 10 star hotel not a four star hotel;0) ha ha". Thanks to all the staff, we shall be back again! x.

I visited the hotel for the second time with my sister in April. This is a luxurious hotel which has so much to offer the guest. The lobby is welcoming and relaxing. I would have no problem spending an afternoon here with a good book. From the moment we arrived staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and professional. We were delighted to receive an upgrade on arrival on this occasion. When we tried to book a treatment in the Spa however we were disappointed to discover it was booked out. However Mary, the Guests Relations Manager, could not have been more helpful and helped us to book a treatment in another hotel. We booked dinner in the Danu restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal from a varied menu. The buffet breakfast was equally appetizing. On checking out and mentioning that we were going for a long walk for the day, Mary (Guests Relation Manager) provided us with bottled water and a snack. A lovely touch! Well done to all the staff in the Brehon and a big 'Thank You' to Mary and the staff for being so helpful.

Attended a training course here recently and found the hotel very beautiful and professionally run.

Staying for two nights with work, plenty of things to do around the hotel in the evenings, including pitch and putt, tennis and squash not to mention the Angsana spa and gym. Food in the Danú restaurant was excellent and service was very good too.

Very nice hotel with pretty good food. Didn't use the spa facilities, but the staff were very helpful in helping us arrange our tours of the area. Hotel is not located in town, but there is a shuttle bus to take you there, and ample parking if you'd like to drive.
