Just had a beautiful treatment, seaweed bath and back massage, the spa is fabulous and staff are really nice. Feeling very relaxed. Highly recommended.

Relaxing atmosphere in the bar. Went for dinner in the Lake Room and really enjoyed it. Thanks to our server Corah for a wonderful night. Will be back!

Best hotel I've ever stayed in. Fabulous room. Amazing comfortable bed ever. Views stunning. Food delicious. But it's the staff that makes this hotel a cut above the rest. Brendan the concierge is brilliant. Will collect and drop into town /train station. Pure gent. And reception staff so nice. If in killarney. Stay here!

We stayed in the Aghadoe for 2 nights. We had a Lakeside room for both nights, fabulous views. The spa definitely deserves it's awards. The staff in the spa were very friendly and informative. Unfortunately this did not follow through too the reception desk and restaurant/bar (morning&evening). I don't know if this is a 5 star. I have stayed in nicer and friendlier 4 star.

Oh my goodness. Cannot fault the stay I have just had here. Everything was amazing. Room what you expect clean and well presented. Lovely shower, loved the makeup mirror I could see what I was doing lol. They have a fridge which was nice. Coffee machine and kettle great facilities. Spa was great and relaxing great experience. Views were spectacular. Lunch was amazing that good we had to have a later dinner, this again was a great fine dining experience. The staff where at all times attentive, you could ask for extras and you got them with a smile. Friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived till we left. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. I know where to come now to celebrate a birthday, you did a great job for my granddaughters 21st. Thank you to all the management and staff. Hope to see you again soon enough.

It is a luxury hotel, very romantic and quiet with stunning views of the landscape! In the restaurant the service very well the breakfasts the best! The staff service at the front desk excellent! The rooms are very clean. I sincerely recommend this place 100%

This is my second time here. I was trying to remember why I didn’t actually give a review the last time. This hotel is rated 5 star. For the life of me I cannot see how. In comparison to The Europe Hotel down the road which is also a 5 star there is a vast difference. I have stayed in The Europe before and the standard across the board is much higher. Anyway, the staff here at the Aghadoe Heights are friendly and nice. Brilliant relaxing hotel, good food, and staff friendly. Best rooms are those with view of lakes. We go there to chill out.

Lovely time spent at the spa and over night stay with dinner which was all nice and a room upgrade on arrival was a nice surprise with many more pleasent surprises throughout our stay couldn't fault it.

Very nice hotel, with generous rooms and well kept overall. Went there for a Spa overnight treatment and there was nothing I could complain about. From the Spa, which is one of the best in Ireland to the dinner in the Lakeroom restaurant to the luxurious room we stayed in. It is not the cheapest stay, but it will be a good one. Especially the sunrise over the lake in the morning is worth a trip alone.

Booked afternoon Tea for my wife’s birthday. It was a miserable day with the weather however looking out at the rain in such a cosy setting was first class. Food was top notch and Maura who looked after us was very accommodating and is excellent at her job. Must book a night away here in the future. We stay in a 4 star hotel in Killarney town for 2 nights prior to visiting here, wished we had booked the 2 nights at the Aghadoe Heights.

Went for afternoon tea today and out of our group there was one vegan and I can't take gluten, dairy, caffeine etc. We had informed them by e-mail in advance but my expectations (from previous experience in other places) were low to medium at best. Well, all I can say is that I was blown away with the array they managed to present me with which the chef had put a lot of thought and effort into. My afternoon tea was just as tempting and delicious as both my friend's and the staff were so lovely and nothing was any trouble. I cannot recommend Aghadoe highly enough and thank you to both the chef and our lovely waitress for the excellent experience we had.

What a find! A cute hotel, very clean and great service. The staff sheltered us during Hurricane Ophelia and went above and beyond to do their best WITHOUT power, gas and water. The manager was amazing as was Kieran our server who worked for more than 24 hours straight during the storm. Highly recommend!

Fantastic venue for my sons wedding two weeks ago. Staff were so attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Views over the lakes were spectacular. Would highly recommend this hotel for weddings or a getaway break.

Aghadoe heights is a 5 star experience without being fussy or pretentious. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was delicious and breakfast with Breda is a unique experience and not to be missed. All the staff are excellent especially Noreen and Christine on the front desk. The porters, cleaning staff, bar and dining staff all deserve a mention. GM Jason has a "well run ship". We keep revisiting and we will be back.

Loved Aghadoe Heights from the minute I ever stepped foot inside. Got married here in March. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Staff are so pleasant and nothing is to big or too small. Big thanks to Marie the wedding coordinator couldn't have done it without her. Beautiful location looking over the lakes. Couldn't of wished for a better place to have our wedding. Our guests are still talking about it! Thanks again Aghadoe!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at Aghadoe Heights for three nights last weekend. I could not fault a single thing. Everything was perfect. The amazing location, the large modern room, but best of all was the View. Picture perfect, I could look at that view for days. The lake with the mountain backdrop, beautiful. All of the staff we met were so nice. Kind friendly and very accommodating. I wish I had made a note of the names so I could give them all their due credit. Each and every one deserves the recognition. Keep up the great work. We had breakfast in bed each morning which was delightful and delicious. The breakfast, the lunch and Dinner menus offer something for everyone. We had originally planned to go into the town to eat but after the delicious first meal we had in the hotel we decided to stay for more. We have stayed in lots of hotels around the world and we both agree your hotel is in our top three. We will most definitely be back. Thank you all for a great experience.

About a month ago my husband and I got married in this incredible place. Killarney is where we fell in love and we couldn't wait to bring our closest friends and family back. Aghadoe made all of our wedding dreams come true. They treated every single one of our 37 guests from the states like family. We married in the penthouse suite, and it was so beautiful that after spending a night there we ended up purchasing an extra night! I will never forget the memories that we made here, and can't wait to go back in years to come. Marie helped us with every wedding need we could have possibly needed, and then some! Brendon was so amazing in helping us with anything we needed taken to our rooms. He even made sure all of my things were ready in the penthouse the night before. Nathan and Lee were so awesome in the bar. They stayed up until all hours of the morning taking care of our drink needs and always had a smile on their face. Not to mention our drinks were top notch. Can't wait to see you all again sometime soon!

My wife and I stayed for 1 night on 04JUN16. We had a garden suite — it was a fabulous room and well equipped. Very satisfied with the room. The Pool and patio area were very enjoyable too. We had an evening meal there and for €140 for 2 (including wine) the food was a little bland. We had the prawns to start and beef medallions for main and but frankly I've had better for far less. There was a certain lack of imagination and flavour — as if the menu was catered for people my father's age (70's). The service was excellent though and the staff friendly. The breakfast was much improved on the dinner and again, the service was great.

Such a lovely hotel, not alone is it 5 star but the staff are 5 star in all they can do for you, always encouraging you to relax, no need to rush. I would tell everyone to come visit, a really fantastic atmosphere which makes all the difference. I know it's 5 star but the relaxed friendly atmosphere is what makes it a 5 star you will want to come back to again.

Our room had a great view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and could not do enough for us! It was also well situated making it easy to get on the Ring of Kerry and a short drive into town. The food was also excellent! Unfortunately we did not have time to use the amenities that the Hotel had to offer, but we are sure that they are the best and we are sorry that we did not have enough time to make use of them, they looked great!

Upon arrival we were met by lovely staff. We were looking forward to our stay. However at dinner there was confusion with our package and we felt embarrassed having to provide proof with an email regarding what was included in our stay. Having experienced a family emergency we had to check out early Tuesday morning. I was very annoyed to be presented with a bill much higher than the agreed rate. Our spa treatments which were included on the rate was added onto our bill. I was highly embarrassed at this yet again and felt I had to explain myself and prove with an email. My email confirmation clearly stated what was included yet the guy at the desk told me this was my bill… left feeling really frustrated, angry and embarrassed.

Very relaxing and calming hotel environment decor well thought out with pleasing colour schemes both in rooms and public areas. Good rapport friendly and jovial from staff to guests.

The external view of the hotel may have a retro concrete design the interior is far more impressive and did not disappoint followed by a warm hello from all members of their team. Good spacious room easily laid out and with a good size balcony looking out over the lakes which is one of the hotel's attractions. The fantastic Spa centre is certainly another. The pool area looked wow but is slightly too small for more than 8 — 10 guests using it as only 4 loungers to use. Unfortunately noisy children "bombing" does take the tranquility out of thought of using but this also displayed the hotel easily accommodates families as well as couples wanting a relaxing spa weekend The restaurant and bar area is relaxing and welcoming. The meals and drinks in the bar menu are good value and less formal. The restaurant dinner selection is good and the food tasting is even better. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of hot menu selection from the menu as well as the cold options. A very friendly team of staff. A thoroughly enjoyable treat in a fabulous hotel located outside Killarney … but with views to fully appreciate. Highly recommended Thank you. Danny.

Wonderful one night stay at this beautiful hotel. My sister and I treated ourselves to a night away and were not disappointed. We were given an upgrade on arrival which really set the tone off to a great start. Lovely welcome at reception and all staff so friendly and polite. Special mention to Jason and Geraldine. We ate in the lounge at lunch time and restaurant in the evening. The food and service were excellent. The pianist added a special touch. We will return and definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Our upgrade to a suite was an unexpected and pleasant surprise at the start of our honeymoon at the Aghadoe. This gesture encapsulated the quality of our overall experience with the amazing views and staff (including Breda, Nathan and Keiran). The food was very good (the poached chicken did fluctuate; Sunday excellent however on Wednesday not as good) and the breakfasts were out of this world! I particularly enjoyed the backed eggs with artichoke and cheese. The suite was very luxurious, comfortable and spacious with exceptional views. Overall, while I have stayed in many hotels in Kerry over the years (and Ireland) this was easily the best.

First impressions were lasting. The friendly greeting from front house staff was really nice and this was followed by a very cheerful concierge member showing us to our room. The Spa treatment was very welcome. The dining experience was top class — food excellent and really friendly staff. I will be happy to recommend a stay at Aghadoe to my friends.

We stayed for 3 nights recently, we had been before dining so we decided to come back and stay, the hotel is in a lovely setting spectacular views overlooking the lakes really something when u look out the room window. The room we had was quite large two double beds all the usuall things one expects to find quite a large bathroom no ironing facilities but that was quickly resolved. One of the reasons we decided to return and stay was the food and we were not disappointed it is as good as you will find anywhere we dined almost exclusively here bar one afternoon and were never disappointed, the staff are exceptional very attentive to all ones needs even though the hotel was a little quiet thes time of the year it's great to see that they don't skimp on staff. I personally didn't use the spa facilities but Val did she found them to be off a high standard the pool bias lovely a smallish gym but more than adequate. The hotel itself is lovely inside I found it to be a perfect size the only reason I did not give it a 5 for me comes down to the outside its in need of a lift first impressions are that the whole place needs a power washing and a paint job which is a pity because once inside you won't be disappointed, will we return the answer is yes.

We recently had our Wedding at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa and I am delighted we chose this hotel. The accommodation, food and service were excellent, but above all I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the outstanding service they provided. Each and every member of staff were friendly, professional and extremely attentive. It literally felt like a "home away from home". I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and my family and I look forward to returning the Aghadoe Heights on numerous occasions in the many years ahead. My husband stayed at Aghadoe Heights for two nights as part of our honeymoon stay in Ireland. Our room offered an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The staff was very kind and helpful as well. The only complaint I have is that the water in our room was a yellowish color, but the staff did everything they could to help make our stay more pleasant, and even offered us an additional room while they took care of the issue. Overall, it was an outstanding stay, and we will likely be coming back there on our next visit.

We were very well looked after with every requests. The breakfast was really nice and Breda was very thoughtful and very kind. Michael at the front desk could not have been more helpful in both directing us every day, supplying us with water and finally organising bikes for our cyule around Muckross House. We loved the bookmarks on the pillows. Our younger visitors loved the robes and slippers and the pool of course.

This Hotel is a gem, it is a beautiful location — peace and tranquility We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) and nothing was too much for the staff very friendly welcoming and respectful 10/10 definatley will be back — come as a guest and leave as family is definatley true — a home away from home.

We have stayed here before and we love the hotel and the setting. We had a suite on this occasion, and it was comfortable, spacious, and pure luxury. We find it hard to relax but this hotel makes it easy. We like a little music in the bar, and I think this should be encouraged.

Absolutely amazing hotel with the best service I have ever experienced. Every member of staff throughout the whole hotel was so friendly, polite and accommodating. Wish I could live here! Rooms are spacious and decorated to a high standard. Breakfast and bar food is superb. We treated ourselves to the high tea one day and it was amazing! Highly highly highly recommended!

We stayed here for two nights out of our 14 day UK and Ireland trip and this hotel was the highlight of our trip. The views and the Spa were amazing.

Amazing! The views are great, out over the mountains and lakes. The staff are lovely, the food is lovely, the rooms are lovely, and everything is just fab.

This hotel is rated as a five star but I've stayed in better three stars. Overpriced, rooms not in good condition considering it's supposed to be a five star. Pool and Jacuzzi area is a joke, pool is more like a big bath. No tea making facilities in room, very expensive room service. Whole hotel needs a good paint. Curtains ripped in our room also bleach stains all over couch. Considering price per night it's not acceptable.

Stayed here for a wedding and enjoyed great food and service. The location was the stand out feature though, offering fantastic views over the Killarney lakes and town. I particularly liked that the rooms opened out onto the lawns.
